Loading cod files on to playbook

My first question is,
Is that possible to load cod files on playbook ?
I have tried these methods to load the cod file that I developed in eclipse on to playbook.
 1.  In eclipse, tried the option Load Project(s) on device.
It did not work. All it does when I do that is, it just complies and goes off..its not installing the app on the device,
 2. Started the app loader, (Program Files --> Common Files --> App loader --> loader) and tried to hit next, it is saying
"You need to use the Blackberry Desktop Software to update this device." But the desktop software says, it isthe latest version
Please let me know if there are any other methods to load the application on to playbook. Also, please let me know if I am doing anything wrong..

No. COD files are Java applications. BAR files are currently either native C++ apps, Adobe AIR apps or WebWorks apps. They are totally different formats and cannot be converted. PB does not support COD formatted files.

  • How to load .cod files in BB Device ?

    Hello Experts,
        I want to load CommonClient.cod, MessagingClientApp.cod, MessagingClientSettings.cod, MocaClient.cod, WorkflowResources.cod files for My workflow application but in Blackberry Desktop Manager , its allow me to load only .alx file.

    Once you are ready with the bat file, connect the BB device to your laptop and run the bat file from Laptop.This open a command prompt showing the status of loading cod files and close once loaded.BB device tends to restart.
    Once the BB device is ready search for the loaded application icon.Now you are ready to run the application

  • Loading .cod file

    Hello,
    Recently converted midlet into .cod file via BlackBerry's rapc command. Now attempting to load file into device via javaloader.exe. However, receiving the following error message:
    Connecting to device...debug: HRESULT error during Open: 80040154
    Error: unable to open port
    Here's the command that was used:
    C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\bin>javaloader -usb load MyApp.cod
    Any help is appreciated.

    well I feel like rapc takes you rather far away from CLDC and MIDP er motherland - so your chances to get help might be higher at blackberry forums than on these.
    ...Sorry if I misunderstood but did you write that I shouldn't base my test on whether rapc successfully converted the midlet?...Yeah I mean something like that. There are just too much values involved in your test for it to be informative.
    Is it MIDP version incompatibility or some defect in rapc or connection or deployment problem that causes the failure? with such a complicated test, one can only guess.
    What I suggest is to start with something really simple, to start with [smoke test|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoke_test|'...a preliminary to further testing...'] if you wish. I'd start with trying simplest possible midlet - minimum code, MIDP1, CLDC 1.0 etc etc -- one that is 99.999% guaranteed to be correctly converted by rapc, one that is guaranteed to be compliant with blackberry midp limitations, if any etc etc. Say, if even such midlet won't load then I'd rather concentrate on finding what's wrong with connection/load procedure.

  • Why does DW CC 2014.1 Fluid Grid load HTML file that contains Google Analytics Tracking Code script so slowly?

    I exclusively work in Fluid Grid since my site is a Responsive Web Design.  I'm having trouble with slow load time in DW CC 2014.1, when my file, as they all do of course, has the Google Analytics Tracking Code script.
    I'm on a Windows 8.1 using a Dell Precision M3800 Laptop with Memory 16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3 . Each of our site's 180 or so web pages, of course, has its Google Analytics Tracking Code script. It is placed, following Google instructions, as the last entry in the <head>.  Google Analytics does not instruct to place the script in the JS Folder with an scr to it, but rather in the <head>.  It takes up to one and a half or two minutes for DW CC 2014.1 to load the Google Analytics Tracking Code script .  That is, the grid does not show in Live View until finally analytics.js shows up in the Document Toolbar. A minute or two can add up when every page you load takes this long.  And, making new Fluid Grid pages, as is done, through the Save As command; every new page made you have to deal with the minute or two wait time since all those pages have the Google Analytics Tracking Code script.  Therefore, this time component alone, assuming I'm accessing and/or making 20 pages per week (and in our business this is easily the case) the math is that I'm wasting between 17 and 35 hours per year just with DW CC 2014.1 loading the much needed Google Analytics Tracking Code script.
    I have loaded HTML files that do not have the Google Analytics Tracking Code script as a test and those files load at the normal quick speed.
    Therefore, the new Chromium Embedded Framework browser engine has a serious load problem when it confronts an HTML5 file with a Google Analytics Tracking Code script.  Oddly, the prior DW CC 2014 version, with the old browser engine did not have this slow-load problem since I was loading these same files in that DW CC version up until October 8th or so.
    I think this new browser engine is a Google platform that apparently has a problem rendering or loading a Google Analytics Tracking Code script.  That makes no sense.
    Anyone else had this particular slow-load problem with DW CC 2014.1?
    Thanks.

    Wow.  That sure solved the slow-load problem, at least using your suggested snippet in a simple test HTML file.
    Per Google's instructions, I pasted the snippet before the closing </head> tag.  And, even in that positioning in the file; the file loaded at the speed (about one second) that it did prior to DW 2014.1.
    Two questions.
    Will this snippet provide the same tracking data as my current GA snippet?
    Because my current GA snippet is in about 200 web pages, can I retain the old snippet in most of them and place the new snippet in my approximately 5 main web pages as well as my templates so my new pages, as well as my main pages, have the new snippet.  That is, can I have both snippets (i.e. old snippet in earlier pages and new snippet in main pages and new pages to be made going forward) in my website at the same time?
    Of course I would not have both the old and new snippet in a web page at the same time.
    I greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can provide me on this issue and thank all of you in advance.
    I've provided code for both simple test files below.

  • Complete code for loading swf file in actionscript 3

    i have a swf
    file which i want to load into a fla file and export as a new swf file. I understand this part but my actionscript 3.0 code that i put on frame one of the timeline does not work. I have tried every version i have seen online including in adobe's actionscript 3 classroom in a book.... and other books..... i want the swf to run immediately so i dont think i need any event listeners since i am not clicking a button or anything like that... just running the swf at start. any help wuld be appreciated... sent two day on this already... i can do it in actionscript 2 but have not figured it our in actionscript 3......... why does eeryone seem to do this slightly different too?   a complete code would be nice since obvously i am stupid........
    thanks

    Show the code you put in frame 1.  I don't think you can do what you say you intend to though.  As far as I know you cannot create a new filein the way you explained you intend to.  If you load the file dynamically as a separate swf, then you will always need to.

    Sorry i have tried to format the code, but it has changed   to ... sorry read this one...
    Hello All,
    I'm making a Java SQL Client. I have practicaly all basic work done, now I'm trying to improve it.
    One thing I want it to do is to allow the user to specify new drivers and to use them to make new connections. To do this I have this class:
    public class DriverFinder extends URLClassLoader{
    private JarFile jarFile = null;
    private Vector drivers = new Vector();
    public DriverFinder(String jarName) throws Exception{
    super(new URL[]{ new URL("jar", "", "file:" + new File(jarName).getAbsolutePath() +"!/") }, ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader());
    jarFile = new JarFile(new File(jarName));
    System.out.println("-->" + System.getProperty("java.class.path"));
    System.setProperty("java.class.path", System.getProperty("java.class.path")+File.pathSeparator+jarName);
    System.out.println("-->" + System.getProperty("java.class.path"));
    Enumeration enumeration = jarFile.entries();
    while(enumeration.hasMoreElements()){
    String className = ((ZipEntry)enumeration.nextElement()).getName();
    if(className.endsWith(".class")){
    className = className.substring(0, className.length()-6);
    if(className.indexOf("Driver")!=-1)System.out.println(className);
    try{
    Class classe = loadClass(className, true);
    Class[] interfaces = classe.getInterfaces();
    for(int i=0; i<interfaces.length; i++){
    if(interfaces.getName().equals("java.sql.Driver")){
    drivers.add(classe);
    Class superclasse = classe.getSuperclass();
    interfaces = superclasse.getInterfaces();
    for(int i=0; i<interfaces.length; i++){
    if(interfaces[i].getName().equals("java.sql.Driver")){
    drivers.add(classe);
    }catch(NoClassDefFoundError e){
    }catch(Exception e){}
    public Enumeration getDrivers(){
    return drivers.elements();
    public String getJarFileName(){
    return jarFile.getName();
    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception{
    DriverFinder df = new DriverFinder("D:/Classes/db2java.zip");
    System.out.println("jar: " + df.getJarFileName());
    Enumeration enumeration = df.getDrivers();
    while(enumeration.hasMoreElements()){
    Class classe = (Class)enumeration.nextElement();
    System.out.println(classe.getName());
    It loads a jar and searches it looking for drivers (classes implementing directly or indirectly interface java.sql.Driver) At the end of the execution I have found all drivers in the jar file.
    The main application loads jar files from an XML file and instantiates one DriverFinder for each jar file. The problem is at execution time, it finds the drivers and i think loads it by issuing this statement (Class classe = loadClass(className, true);), but what i think is not what is happening... the execution of my code throws this exception

  • Problem loading / writing files.

    Hi, im trying to create and load a file to the user's home directory as follows:
    File f = new File(System.getProperty("user.home") + "/settings.xml");
    if (f.exists() == false)
         try
              // If the file doesn't exist, create one.
              f.createNewFile();
              // Get the url.
              URL filePath = f.toURI().toURL();
    The file is created properly and exists in the proper directory. However, when i try to use the URL to write out to
    file later i get the following error:
    C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\User\settings.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)
    I believe this is due to the %20's within the URL, how can i remove / handle these? Am i doing something incorrectly?
    Also, if the file exists, i try to load it with the following code:
    URL filePath = this.getClass().getClassLoader().getResource(System.getProperty("user.home") + "/settings.xml")
    However the URL that is return is null and i dont know why.
    thanks for the help.

    Why do you want an URL for the file? Use the File object to create a FileInputStream or FileReader.

  • Infopackage-Load Many Files from Application Server and later Archive/Move

    Hi All..
      I have a doubt,   I have a requirement of take many files to load into BI 7.0..  I used the infopackage before with option:
    Load Binary File From Application server
      I load information successfully... only with one file ...but If I can load many files (with different names) like the next list.. I think it's not a good idea modify the file name (path) on infopackage each time).. :
    *All of this files will be on one server that itu2019s map into AL11.. Like
    Infopfw
    BW_LOAD_20090120.txt
    BW_LOAD_20090125.txt
    BW_LOAD_OTHER_1.txt
    u2026.
    Etc..
    This directory it's not in BW server.. It's other server..but I can load form this location (one file by one)
    Could you help me with this questions:
    -     How can I Use an infopackage with routine that take all the files..one by oneu2026 in order of creation dateu2026and load into Target? Is it possible?.. I have some knowledge of ABAP.. but I don´t know exactly how I can say to system this logicu2026
    -     In addition is it possible move this files to other locationu2026 like into Infopfwarchive u2026 just to have an history of files loaded.
    I saw that in infopackage you have an option to create a routine.. in ABAP codeu2026 Iu2019m a little bit confused because I donu2019t  know how I can specify all the path..
    I try with:
    Infopfw
    InfopfwFile.csv
    Infopfw
    This is the abap code that automatically you see and you need to modifyu2026
    Create a routine for file name
    This routine will be called by the adapter,
    when the infopackage is executed.
              p_filename =

    Hi Reddy, thank you for your answer
    I have some doubuts.. when you explain me the option:
    All the above files are appending dates at the end of the file....
    You can load the files through infopackage by using Routines and pick the files based on date at the end of the file..***
    I need to ask you if you think that when you know the date of the file and the infopackage pick each file... thi can work for many files??... or how it's possible control this process?
    About this option, I want to ask you If when you menction Unix code... where it's programed this code?.. in the routine of BW Infopackage??
    ****Or
    Create two folders in your BW in Application server level, in AL11 (ask Basis team)
    I call it is F1 and F2 folders.
    First dump the files into F1 I assume that the file name in F1 is "BW_LOAD_20090120.txt", using Unix code you rename the file and then keep in the same foleder F1 or move to F2.
    Then create InfoPackage and fix the file name (i.e. you renamed), so you don't need to change everyday your file name at infopackage level.Because in AL11 everyday the file are overwrite.
    To I get BW_LOAD_20090120.txt file in F1, then I renamed to BW_LOAD.txt and loaded into BW, then tomorrow I get BW_LOAD_20090125.txt in F1, then I renamed to BW_LOAD.txt....
    so in this way it will work.You need to schedule the Ubix script in AL11.
    This is the way how to handle the application server...I'm using the same logic.
    Thank you soo much.

  • Unable to load multiple files to Essbase using MaxL and wildcards

    I have multiple data files to load:
    Files:
    Filename.txt
    Filename_1.txt
    Filename_2.txt
    According to the following link, Essbase is able to load multiple files to BSO databases via MaxL by using wildcards:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_tech_ref/frameset.htm?launch.html
    However, when I try to run the following I receive the following error:
    MaxL:
    import database MyApp.DB data from server text data_file "../../MyApp/Filename*.txt" using server rules_file "L_MyRule" on error append to "\\Server\Folder\L_MyRule.err";
    Error:
    ERROR - 1003027 - Unable to open file [DB01/oracleEPM/user_projects/epmsystem2/EssbaseServer/essbaseserver1/app/MyApp/DB/../../Filename*.txt].
    ERROR - 1241101 - Unexpected Essbase error 1003027.
    I can run the following fine without any problem, but this only deals with the first of several files, and I’d rather not hard-code multiple files since the number might vary in the future:
    MaxL:
    import database MyApp.DB data from server text data_file "../../MyApp/Filename.txt" using server rules_file "L_MyRule" on error append to "\\Server\Folder\L_MyRule.err";
    Any ideas? And how about ASO databases?

  • Applet can't Load a file from outside it's JAR??

    My loading code: (note: I have also tried ...getResourceAsStream("menu.properties");... )
    codeBase = getCodeBase();
    InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream( new URL( codeBase, "menu.properties" ).toString() );
    if( is == null )
      System.err.println( "Couldn't load Menubar property file:: " + new URL( codeBase, "menu.properties" ).toString());
    else this.properties.load( is );
    is is always null. When 'menu.properties' is inside the JAR that contains my applet class files it loads it with the direct method (getResourceAsStream("menu.properties");) and everything is good.... but when it is outside the JAR no dice.
    Anybody see what is wrong or know something I need to know before I can do this?

  • JSP page do not close after loading a file

    Hello, i am having a bit of a problem. i have the following code that help me load reports (pdf and xls) from my server in the user browser.
    What i do in my code : jsp Page 1(generationInProgress) i create one of these reports (xml with blob) --> jsp page 2(viewReport) i load the file into the page.
    My problem is pdf just go directly in the user brower but xls file(this file look like it is my page viewReport but in excel format) need to be downloaded into the user pc (work fine) but the first page (generationInProgress) stay visible.
    This is in viewReport:

    String fileName = sessionBean.getReportName();
    //load the files

  • Error in pda load image file performance in PDA

    hello
    i am using Windows CE with labview mobile module 8.6 in evaluation version. When trying to use "pda load imege file.vi" i get an error code 1, regardless of loading a .bmp, .gif or .jpg, of only 80kb (no diference in the color depth i use). I have tryed the same program in the windows mobile 5 emulator with the same error code. When i use "pda load bmp.vi" to load a .bmp, everything is OK. Some hints about this error?
    some hints about missing dll are provided here
    http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=185995&query.id=129565#M185995 -> can that be my problem? but then, why same error in the emulator?
    Aditionally, if .gif or .jpg have to be "flatened" to pixmap for opeation inside my VI , is there any difference (in terms of speed and memory allocation) in loading .gif .jpg or .bmp? i have to operate with the raw pixmap data in "real time", and flatened .bmp images (320x220) do not load and update fast enough... any advice for that?

    acording to the info provided
    LabVIEW 8.6 Mobile Module
    The
    LabVIEW 8.6 Mobile Module includes the necessary Microsoft tools. The
    Mobile Module installs ARM Pocket PC and Windows Mobile targets. You
    only need to download and install the following additional Microsoft
    tools (linked below) if you need x86 emulator targets:
    Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0
    Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ SP 4 or later
    SDK for Windows Mobile 2003-based Pocket PCs
    Note: If you are upgrading from version 8.0 or later of the PDA Module, you probably already have the additional tools.
    Since
    i have  an ARM pocket PC, i understand from the above that  no extra
    software is needed. Anyhow, i will try to install the recomended tools.
    About the VI, well, basically not even the library examples work in my
    pocket PC, so, you may try those to see if they work on your devices. I
    am afraid that the pocket PC i got (it is actually a PNA and not a PDA)
    has a reduced version of WINDOWS CE 5.0 installed and that can be the
    reason for the error...

  • 4.2.3/.4 Data load wizard - slow when loading large files

    Hi,
    I am using the data load wizard to load csv files into an existing table. It works fine with small files up to a few thousand rows. When loading 20k rows or more the loading process becomes very slow. The table has a single numeric column for primary key.
    The primary key is declared at "shared components" -> logic -> "data load tables" and is recognized as "pk(number)" with "case sensitve" set to "No".
    While loading data, these configuration leads to the execution of the following query for each row:
    select 1 from "KLAUS"."PD_IF_CSV_ROW" where upper("PK") = upper(:uk_1)
    which can be found in the v$sql view while loading.
    It makes the loading process slow, because of the upper function no index can be used.
    It seems that the setting of "case sensitive" is not evaluated.
    Dropping the numeric index for the primary key and using a function based index does not help.
    Explain plan shows an implicit "to_char" conversion:
    UPPER(TO_CHAR(PK)=UPPER(:UK_1)
    This is missing in the query but maybe it is necessary for the function based index to work.
    Please provide a solution or workaround for the data load wizard to work with large files in an acceptable amount of time.
    Best regards
    Klaus

    Nevertheless, a bulk loading process is what I really like to have as part of the wizard.
    If all of the CSV files are identical:
    use the Excel2Collection plugin ( - Process Type Plugin - EXCEL2COLLECTIONS )
    create a VIEW on the collection (makes it easier elsewhere)
    create a procedure (in a Package) to bulk process it.
    The most important thing is to have, somewhere in the Package (ie your code that is not part of APEX), information that clearly states which columns in the Collection map to which columns in the table, view, and the variables (APEX_APPLICATION.g_fxx()) used for Tabular Forms.

  • How to dynamically load jar files - limiting scope to that thread

    Dynamically loading jar files has been discussed a lot. I have read a quite a few posts, articles, and demo code for doing just that. However, I have yet to find a solution to my problem. Most people modify their system class loader and are happy. I have done that and was happy for a time. Occasionally, you will see reference to an application server or tomcat or some other large project that have successfully been able to load and unload jar files, allow for dynamic deployment of code, etc. However, I have not been able to achieve similar success; And my problem is much less complicated.
    I have an application that executes a thread to send a given file/message to a standard JMS Server Queue. Depending on the parameters selected by the user, this thread may need to communicate with one of a number of JMS Servers, ie. JBoss, WebLogic, EAServer, Glassfish, etc. All of which can be done with the same code, but each needs to load their own flavor of JMS Client Jar files. In this instance, spawning a separate JVM for each communication would work from a classloader perspective. However, I need to keep it in the family and run under the same JVM, albeit each JMS Server Connection will be created and maintained in separate Threads.
    I am close, I am doing the following...
    1. Creating a new URLClassLoader in the run() method of each thread.
    2. Set this threads contextClassLoader to the new URLClassLoader.
    3. Load the javax.jms.JMSException class with the URLClassLoader.loadClass() method.
    4. Create an initialContext object within this thread.
    Note: I read that the initialContext and subsequent conext lookup calls would use the Threads
    contextClassLoader for finding/loading classes.
    5. Perform context.lookup calls for a connectionFactory and Queue name.
    6. Create JMS Connection, etc. Send Message.
    Most of this seems to work. However, I am still getting a NoClassDefFoundError exception for the javax.jms.JMSException class ( Note step #3 - tried to cure unsuccessfully).
    If I include one of the JMS Client jar files ( ie wljmsclient.jar for weblogic ) in the classpath then it works for all the different JMS Servers, but I do not have confidence that each of the providers implemented these classes that now resolve the same way. It may work for now, but, I believe I am just lucky.
    Can anyone shine some light on this for me and all the others who have wanted to dynamically load classes/jar files on a per Thread basis?

    Thanks to everyone - I got it working!
    First, BenSchulz' s dumpClassLoader() method helped me to visualize the classLoader hierarchy. I am still not completely sure I understand why my initial class was always found by the systemClassLoader, but knowning that - was the step I needed to find the solution.
    Second, kdgregory suggested that I use a "glue class". I thought that I already was using a "glue class" because I did not have any JMSClient specific classes exposed to the rest of the application. They were all handled by my QueueAdmin class. However...
    The real problem turned out to be that my two isolating classes (the parent "MessageSender", and the child "QueueAdmin") were contained within the same jar file that was included in the classpath. This meant that no matter what I did the classes were loaded by the systemClassLoader. Isolating them in classes was just the first step. I had to remove them from my jar file and create another jar file just for those JMSClient specific classes. Then this jar file was only included int custom classLoader that I created when I wanted to instantiate a JMSClient session.
    I had to create an interface in the primary jar file that could be loaded by the systemClassLoader to provide the stubs for the individual methods that I needed to call in the MessageSender/QueueAdmin Classes. These JMSClient specific classes had to implement the interface so as to provide a relationship between the systemClassLoader classes and the custom classLoader classes.
    Finally, when I loaded and instantiated the JMSClient specific classes with the custom classLoader I had to cast them to the interface class in order to make the method calls necessary to send the messages to the individual JMS Servers.
    psuedu code/concept ....
    Primary Jar File   -  Included in ClassPath
    Class<?> cls = ClassLoader.loadClass( "JMSClient.MessageSender" )
    JMSClientInterface jmsClient = (JMSClientInterface) cls.newInstance()
    jmsClient.sendMessage()
    JMSClient Jar File  -  Loaded by Custom ClassLoader Only
    MessageSender impliments Primary.JMSClientInterface{
        sendMessage() {
            Class<?> cls=ClassLoader.loadClass( "JMSClient.QueueAdmin" )
            QueueAdmin queueAdmin=(QueueAdmin) cls.newInstance()
            queueAdmin.JMSClientSpecificMethod()
        }
