LoadVariablesNum problem in different directory
Hey everyone,
This is a slightly strange one (to me at least) and i'd greatly appreciate any pointers.
I have http://www.mydomain.com/index.php setup which includes/displays http://www.mydomain.com/site.swf
When i visit http://www.mydomain.com/index.php the site/flash file displays correctly
I also setup http://www.mydomain.com/subfolder/index.php which sets a couple of variables and then includes http://www.mydomain.com/index.php
When i visit http://www.mydomain.com/subfolder/index.php the flash file loads and then stops at the point that loadVariablesNum usually runs (which prevents the swf file from continuing to load).
I would be massively appreciative if anyone could point me towards what i should be looking into to fix this as i've tried numerous things and am very confused (and wondering if it's somethin completely unrelated that i'm missing as i can't see how this would have any effect on loadVariablesNum!)
Thanks so much,
Dave
I can't be sure since I've not dealt with this twist of including a file from another folder, but it may be a case of failing to target whatever file the loadVariablesNum is trying to access.
When you load an swf into a web page, that page defines the relative path for anything the swf loads. So it may be a case where you need to place the data file in the same (relative) folder as the subfolder's index.php. Even though the primary php file loads the swf, the subfolder page is the base of operations.

Accessing a Class in a Package[in a dir] via Different Directory
Hi,
I am trying to access a class belonging to a package in a directory via another class in a different directory.
However, there are problems.
Here is what I do:
I created a source file ProtectedTest2.java
package com.java.MyLesson.ch8;
public class ProtectedTest2
private int iN1, iN2;
public ProtectedTest2(){ }
public ProtectedTest2(int iA, int iB)
iN1 = iA;
iN2 = iB;
public String getNumbers()
return "Numbers are: "+iN1 +" and "+ iN2;
} After that, I compiled this file with javac -d C:\\MyUserClasses ProtectedTest2.java. There was no problem.
I then, created another source file TestPro2.java and imported ProtectedTest2 in TestPro
import javax.swing.JOptionPane;
import com.java.MyLesson.ch8.ProtectedTest2;
public class TestPro2 extends ProtectedTest2
public TestPro2()
ProtectedTest2 pro = new ProtectedTest2(8,12);
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, p.getNumbers() );
public static void main(String args[])
new TestPro2();
System.exit(0);
} Then, I continue to compile TestPro2.java like this:
javac -classpath C:\\MyUserClasses TestPro2.java -- there was no problem, but when I try to execute
TestPro2, the error I got was :
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/java/MyLesson/ch8/ProtectedTest2
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader . java:502)
I understand that the class loader will look into the classpath[current directory] if it cannot find the user- defined class [ProtectedTest2.class] in the standard and optional java packages. Why did the application raise error if I have specified the classpath for the ProtectedTest2.class [which is in C:\MyUserClasses] during the compilation of TestPro2.java ?
Can someone please correct me and tell me what is the mistake here ?
Thank you all! :-)You need to have C:\MyUserClasses in the class search path both when compiling and running.
Where the compiler finds a depency class is not saved in the generated .class file, so the runtime is on its own when it needs to find it. If C:\MyUserClasses is not in the class search path, the runtime doesn't know that it should be looking for ProtectedTest2 there. In addition to MyUserClasses you want to search for classes in the current directory (the path ".") so the command to execute TestPro2 is:
java -classpath .;C:\MyUserClasses TestPro2
See also the document on how classes are found (if you already haven't)

I have built the following script in an attempt to create a submit button that will automatically save the document in a different directory on my computer. It will also use the form field data "customer" and "date" to generate the filename. I printed out the variable myPath and it looks like it printed the correct string. I keep getting the following error:
TypeError: redeclaration of const path
any help would be much appreciated.
var customer = this.getField("Customer").value;
var date = this.getField("Date").value;
var path = "C:/Users/awilliams/My Documents/Test/"
var reg = date.match(/(\d+)\/(\d+)\/(\d+)/);
var myPath= "C:/Users/awilliams/My Documents/Test/" + customer + "_" + reg[1] + "." + reg[2] + "." +
reg[3] + ".pdf";
this.saveAs(myPath);"path" is a keyword within a PDF you should not use keywords as a name for any other object as a general rule.
Have you checked the PDF Reference to see how to create a file path name within a PDF, 3.10.1 File Specification Strings page 118?
Did you carefully read the Acrobat JavaScript Reference for the saveAs method?

Extract JAR file to a different directory
Is it possible to use the jar command to extract the content of a JAR file to a different directory (not the current directory)?
I want to use this command inside a makefile, looking for the same effect as "unzip example.jar -d directory".
Thanks in advanced.Thanks Chuck, you solved my doubt... It surprises me that JAR doesn't support this option.
I used the "unzip" command inside the makefile instead, but I wanted to be sure that there wasn't any chance to use "jar" (without using the additional script file). -
Multiple files in different directory using single FILE adaptor
Hi Guys,
How can we handle multiple files having different format(PDF,TXT,EXCEL) and in different directory with the single FILE adaptor.
I know by using "." we ca get mutilple files, but here tthe files are of different format and in different directory.
Could you please explain as to how we can handle this scenarios?
Thanks
SahilHi,
The short answer is - "No".
The Long Question - "Why do you want to use a SINGLE channel".
If your idea is to reuse the interface then dont worry... Except for the Senderchannel and Sender agreement all your other objects can be reused ...provided your sender apter converts the different files into the same XML format..
For TXT you can use the simple file adpater..
For excel see if you can use save the file as .CSV format...then you can use it directlky by the simple FIle adapter..
For PDF use conversion agent... Here a blog to get u started on that ->

How to include a template from a different directory
Hi,
I have a page navigation menu that I placed in a template file. All the browsing files would then call this template file using cfinclude.
I now want to call this file from a different directory. However, this causes all the url and image links to be wrong because the template file uses relative path off of root directory.
I have looked at using cfmodule, but it seems that I would have the same issues unless I make the paths absolute, which I am trying to avoid.
I also thought of prepending to every link in the template file with a directory prefix variable which I passes from the calling files.
Is there an easy and better way to solve this?
Thanks!

Importing class from different directory
Hi, Can anyone tell me how to import a class from a different directory? I have a DGenerator class in ./generator directory.
I have tried Import generator.DGenerator; to use the DGenerator class. However. I got the error:
cannot access generator.DGenerator
bad class file: ./generator/DGenerator.class
class file contains wrong class: DGenerator
Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of the classpath.
Help please.
Thank you!I don't understand why this is a Swing question, but at any rate if you want your DGenerator class to be found in a particular directory, you must do one of two things:
1. Put that directory in your classpath and just refer to the class as DGenerator.
2. Make the class belong to the package "generator". -

Restoring Rman backup on New Host with different directory structure
Hi,
I have a following scenario to clone the database.
1. clone the database on new server
2. source is non - ASM and target is ASM
3. On source incremental level 0 backup taken on disk connecting to catalog, the backup is moved to target host to different directory structure
4. source is running on 32-bit Linux two node Rac and Target is running on 64-bit Linux two node Rac
I did the following steps and getting below error:
1. I copied incremental Level 0 backup to target server(where we need to build new db) to different directory structure
2. On target i created pfile and build the instance, as dbf file are in multiple locations in source i put following tow parameters in init.ora of target database
*.db_file_name_convert =(/u02/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA2/udev/datafile),(/u03/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile),(/u12/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile,),(/u99/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile),(/u09/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile),(/u14/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile),(/u07/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile),(/u06/oradata/prod/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile'),(/u05/oradata/app1p/,+QADATA1/udev/datafile)
*.log_file_name_convert =("/u99/oradata/app1p/","+QADATA2/udev/onlinelog/")
3. connected to rman -->> started db in nomount -->> restored the controlfile --> cataloged the backup piece and then i am trying to restore
All the above steps i did using the Doc id *How To Restore Rman Backups On A Different Node When The Directory Structures Are Different [ID 419137.1]*
script i am using is :

Running sql scripts from different directory
Hi
I have sql scripts in different directories as follows:
D:\myapp\sql
- load.sql
- init.sql
D:\myapp\sql\schema
-users.sql
-structure.sql
D:\myapp\sql\populate\
- data1.sql
- data2/sql
load.sql call all the other scripts as below:
@init.sql
@schema\users.sql
@schema\structure.sql
@populate\data1.sql
@populate\data2.sql
All my scripts run correctly when I run load.sql from D:\myapp\sql on comand prompt.
I need a way to run this script from a different directory say D:\ or C:\
I am writing a installer which will execute from a different directory.
Right now I get a file not found error for scripts within schema an populate folder.
Please let me know how can I make this work from a different directory.
Thanks
kelvinHi peter. i think you cannot run files spread across different locations.
