Lobster-bib: cli search of bibtex db (using btparse)

This is an insanely simple project, but I've found it handy so I thought I'd post it.
Lobster-bib
A CLI frontend to the btparse bibtex database parser
Usage
lobster-bib <file.bib> [ -o ] [ <search-strings> ] [ : <output-types> ]
file.bib: required and must be a bibtex database
-o: use "or" search rather than "and" search
search-strings: any number of strings to match against any entry field, or key=value pairs to match against a specific field. Multi-word strings must be quoted
output-types: select the fields to display in the output, by default all fields are printed
Suggested use
For convenient use add an alias to your shell rc file with a name of your choice and specifying your reference database
alias bib='lobster-bib ~/refdb.bib'
Get it here. There is a PKGBUILD provided there, but I don't know if 66 lines of simple code is worth adding an AUR package. I'll let user-interest dictate that.
This does depend on btparse which is available in the AUR (understatement really, btparse does all the cool stuff).
Examples: (assuming the above alias)
Get the title of all articles related to latex: `bib latex : title`
Get the title of all articles by Knuth related to latex: `bib author=knuth latex : title`
Get all info on any article by Knuth with latex in the title `bib author=knuth title=latex`
Get the year and author of publication on any article by Knuth or with latex in the title: `bib -o author=knuth title=latex : year author`

Actually there is a way to deal with that - I'll add it soon: btparse can read a series of files just like that - I just have to provide the mechanism to do so.
At the very worst and ugliest, you could use the following for now:
alias bib='cat abbrv.bib authors.bib journals.bib publishers.bib topic1.bib topic2.bib > /tmp/lobster.bib && lobster-bib /tmp/lobsterbib'
But I should be able to add reading a list of files to lobster-bib itself by this weekend.
EDIT: actually, don't you have some overall bib file that includes each of those? btparse should follow include links properly (I think). EDIT2: maybe I'm talking outa' my ***, I know tex files can include other tex files, I guess I don't know about bib(la)tex.
EDIT: a better alias, which actually makes me think I shouldn't bother revising the code:
alias bib='cat abbrv.bib authors.bib journals.bib ... | lobster-bib -'
The "-" reads the bib file from stdin, and the cat concatenates all the files and pipes them to the stdin. The dots there are, of course, to be filled in by the files which should be specified with paths.

When there was support for Google Toolbar, I was able to do this; now, whenever I want to search for something, I have to open a new tab to do it, and cut-and-paste my search into the search field in the new tab. I used to be able to highlight, drag, and drop something into the search field and have it automatically open in a new tab. This is enough for me to switch to Chrome . . .

About Google toolbar............
Google decided that they will no longer produce the Google Toolbar for Firefox 5 and newer version. It is best to move on to other alternatives than to try any "hacks" to the toolbar that may or may not perform in the future. Future versions of Google toolbar will only work with IE7-9. Did you get any values in lv_search ?
Because while using value nodes for search view (which inherits from advance search controller class), the above method does not return any search values entered in the fields.
Please let me know how did you solve it.

Find which screen, folder it was moved to, and hold down the icon until the icons start shaking. Then drag it to the left or right edge of the screen, and it will allow you to move it to which ever screen you want it. When you have it there, tap the Home button to stop the icons form shaking.

After adding a program yahoo has hijacked the search bar on the center start screen. I still have google in the task bar but would like it to also search on the main search box like it used to. I have looked for hours trying to find a fix but will wait for your response before changing to google chrome, as I am fond of firefox and it's features. I have witnessed many others with the same feeling and wish for the freedom to choose their default browser away from yahoo. It is a step in reverse to not be able to change it !!!

I would like to add that Comcast is my internet provider. Perhaps that is part of the issue although the Connection Doctor confirms the mail box is connecting to the internet. No other function processes when Connection Doctor program is used to find the source of the issue. I have read forum posts but am unable to find a way to get my Apple mail to be delivered to my computer. It worked fine up until I chose to transfer mail to the Cloud. My mail account is a .mac account.
Still hoping someone out there can help me.

What you should see on a restart is a black screen followed by a screen with the Apple (at which point you let go of the two buttons). There is no progress bar, just the Apple. The Apple will stay there for 15 seconds or so, then the "Slide to Unlock" screen will redisplay.
But, I don't think the reset will fix it for you. I just tested it, and it comes back on with the zoom still on. The only way to get it to zoom out is the tapping with the 3 fingers.
I said to double-tap....MY BAD! You need to triple-tap with three fingers!
Try that and see if it will display the zoom menu for you, or if it will zoom back out.

MIGO: Searching batches via classes using search help MCH1 (incl. SH MCH1C)

Hello everyone,
I have a strange issue in MIGO on our Development server, and was wondering if anyone else had ever encountered similar problems.
In MIGO, when we choose "Goods issue", and "Other", we enter the material number, plant and storage location. After pressing ENTER, the "Batch" tab appears allowing us to enter the batch. Now, searching for the batch creates a problem, and here is the process:
1. Press F4 on the "Batch" field - this envokes the Search help procedure.
2. Enter the class and the class type on the next screen and press ENTER. A subscreen appears with the class characteristics.
3. Without filling out any of the characteristics, press "Find in initial class" button.
In the bottom part of the screen, the system creates a split to display the results in a form of ALV list, BUT no results are ever displayed.
Here is another piece of information which might be useful. The version of the DEV installation is ECC 6.0, and the patch level for Logistics and Accounting is SAPKH60009. The patch level of the corresponding IDES system is SAPKH60006, and in the IDES system we have no problems with this search through MIGO.
This tells me that there might be a problem caused by the upgrade - but that's not sure, and that's why I ask if anyone else had run into such an issue.
I am an ABAPer, so I approached this problem first by comparing the search helps of the two versions. The collective SHelp is MCH1, but searching batches via classes uses the elementary SHelp MCH1C. I found some differences in the elementary SHelps' function exits, these are included in the SAP note 1020405, and have no effect on the functionality. I even tried "downgrading", and using the search help from IDES, but still got no results. I decided that this was not causing the problem.
Can anybody suggest what might be the cause of the problem? Our MM people tell me there is no customizing for this process, and that it worked on IDES from the very beginning without any problems.

AVG Secure Search appears when I use Google Search from my Home page only.

My home page is the Firefox default page with the Google searchbar. I like getting occasional messages from Firefox when I log in so I don't want to change my homepage. However, when I use the searchbar ''on my homepage only'', I get the unsatisfactory AVG Secure Search results.
UPDATE: I now realize all the troubleshooting information I included in my original question appears under the "More System Details" link next to the question, not in the body of the question. I have copied it here to make it easier to see what I have already done to try to solve the problem, as well as describe the one clue I have that may be relevant:
I have tried all the fixes on various threads, but my about:config is now pristine (no avg or isearch mentions; keyword.url is default). Closest solution is that at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/866327 , which requires changing my home page.
Oddly, AVG Secure Search is ''not'' a problem when I use the Google toolbar or search from the Google website, only when I use the search bar that appears on my home (start) page. This is true even when I return to my home page--if I search from the Google search bar in the middle of the page, I get sent to AVG Safe Search. (isearch.avg.com).
I read in one thread a suggestion to delete my chromeappsstore.sqlite file in my Profile folder. As promised, Firefox created a new one when I restarted it; however, the search bar in the middle of my home home page did not work at all. Tried this three times before restoring my original.
I do not have an application that will open a sqlite file, but I tried doing so in Excel and found a cell containing the following:

Using LDAP to search attribute bit flags using attribute OID values

Hello everyone,
My question stems from trying to understand the OID and syntax behind this classic LDAP search to find disabled users:
"(useraccountcontrol:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)"
What I am interested in is the value 1.2.840.113556.1.4.803, specifically how it differentiates from the value 1.2.840.113556.1.4.8, which is the OID of the useraccountcontrol attribute:

Now, this website below says that the 03 and 04 are designators of the AND and OR operations, respectively, and are added on to the end of the OID:

However, using this logic, I can't get these 03 and 04 operators to work with other attribute OID's that use flags as values, such as the "searchflags" attribute, e.g. a LDAP search of "(searchflags:=1.2.840.113556.1.2.33404:=0)
returns nothing, using the OR (04) operation at the end of the "searchflags" OID of 1.2.840.113556.1.2.334.
So back to my original question, for the useraccountcontrol OID of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.8, is this OID at all related to the bitwise AND extensible match of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.803 (like just adding a 03 to designate an AND operation), or is this
extensible match
value of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.803 completely separate from the useraccountcontrol OID of 1.2.840.113556.1.4.8?
If I have my terms mixed up, please feel free to correct me on what the proper terms are.

Hmm yeah I posted that link above in my OP as well, and I was hoping that the OID values of these bitwise filters were somehow related to the shorter OID of the "useraccountcontrol" attribute, but it looks like it's just a coincidence.
So I wonder if the "useraccountcontrol" section of
this article from my OP is a little misleading when it says:
To make a comparison, we either need to use the LDAP_MATCHING_RULE_BIT_AND rule (1.2.840.113556.1.4.803), or the LDAP_MATCHING_RULE_BIT_OR rule (1.2.840.113556.1.4.804) for our attribute OID (the AND rule adds a 03 suffix to denote the AND operation,
and the OR rule adds a 04 suffix).
Following this logic, I should be able to use the "03" and "04" in other bitwise operations with different OID's to search "AND" or "OR", but as I pointed out in my OP above, I can't seem to make this work with adding the
"03" and "04" onto the end of other OID's. So I will go with Christoffer that these bitwise OID's (1.2.840.113556.1.4.803 and 1.2.840.113556.1.4.804) are unique in themselves, and the fact that they are 2 characters away from the OID of the "useraccountcontrol"
attribute (1.2.840.113556.1.4.8) is just coincidence.
This does seem strange however, and it seems like there should be some correlation here....
If anyone has any more info, I would love to hear it!

Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition 32 bits Service Pack 2 never finishes searching for updates and use 100% of CPU.

Hi everyone, I am having issues updating a clean Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition 32 bits Service Pack 2, so any help with be appreciated cause I've already tried all my cards for the past 5 days in this particular issue without success.
All I did so far is installing Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise with Service Pack 2, open IE to update, it keeps searching for updates and never stop, after 20mn to 30mn the process svchost.exe start using 100% of my CPU.
I already tried the following scenarios:
1- Install IE8, install the update KB927891 and the Windows Update Agent 3.0 (I already had this one installed). Reboot and run windows update trough IE8 and the problem did not solved.
2- Install those 2 software "MicrosoftFixit.wu.MATSKB.Run" and "MicrosoftFixit50777", open IE to update, it still hangs and continues eating my CPU. This is the output of "MicrosoftFixit".
Windows Update error 0x8007000D(2014-01-06-T-06_06_34A) --> Not Fixed
Cryptographic service components are not registered (This service is actually running successfully) --> Not Fixed
3- I found the following script that would register some DLL, deleting the "SoftwareDistribution" and forcing windows update to solve the problem and nothing happened either.

Herein is the root cause of your issue. A topic that's been discussed in several blogs, forums, and even in the media since September regards a known issue with attempting to patch IE6 RTM via Windows Update.
Aside from that particular issue... browsing the Internet with an unpatched instance of IE6, especially from a Windows Server system, is also asking for a world of hurt.
Might I suggest the following:
Download the IE8 for Windows Server 2003 installer to a thumb drive.
Download the latest Cumulative Security Update for IE8 for Windows Server 2003 to a thumb drive.
Reinstall Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2.
Upgrade to IE8 from the thumb drive installer and apply the
Cumulative Security Update.
Now your machine is capable of safely browsing to Windows Update to install the rest of the updates (well, maybe, there's also all those other Security Updates from the past seven years that your machine still has vulnerabilites for -- even those seven
years of updates are going to take a Very Long Time to scan for, download, and install).
Why don't you have a WSUS server? -- noting, wryly, that you've posted in the *WSUS* forum.
