LocalDirector 417 and JSESSIONID url argument

I am installing a LD417 in front of a cluster of WebLogic servers.
The LD417 will passively inspect the JSESSIONID cookie in order to keep the connections from a particular client going to the same WebLogic server (WLS). If that WLS goes down, it will send on to a different server, and the new WLS will request the session information from whichever WLS has the backup.
Some times the client device might not support cookies, in which case the WLS will use url rewriting (appending ;JSESSIONID=A6B2... to the url) instead. Can the LD417 use this url argument as a key for stickiness, instead of the cookie? Quite a lot of documentation hints to this possibility, but I have not found anything concrete.

Hi Nick,
LD is not capable of doing what you want to accomplish .Sticky based on cookie in url.The LD scans the HTTP GET request for a cookie (cookie-passive) it cannot scan the URL for cookie .
The Content service switch (CSS) which is the advanced Load balancer can handle this .

I have a url, for example:
www.MyWebsite.com/Flash.html?Pic1=1.jpg&Pic2=2.jpg&Pic3=3.jpg
(Flash.html has a Flash swf file in it.)
In my SWF I want to dynamically show (in 3 movie clips, mc1,
mc2 & mc3) the 3 pictures from the 3 URL arguments.
To clarify some requirements: I can only use a URL (not a
text file, XML, etc...), a HTML file and SWF (no scripts). Action
Script is ok. Cant use code to create EMBED params dynamically
etc... This also has to work in MX.
I've researched loadvariables, etc.. but this seems to work
with a text file. Dunno how to get it to work with the actual URL
(parse it, etc..) or if there's a better way...

I am trying to create an application to upload and download files from How-To Documentation as follows:-

However, I do not know:-
- whether the url argument p?n is in generic or htmldb specific
- when I can use the argument

to use your terms, the procedure p is htmldb specific. it's an api call that fetches blobs uploaded to wwv_flow_files. the most important parameter that it needs is N, and that's to correspond to your BLOB's wwv_flow_files.id value. the two most common ways to use P are in either anchor or images tags. in the how-to they show you how to specify P as your link target for one of your report columns. using it that way would show you the fetched image on the next page. using P in an image tag would let you show the image on the current screen.

Using Dogpile, I search and a list of URLs comes up. I select and click on one and Firefox opens a new tab. It responds promptly with a blank screen. The Tab says "New Tab" and the URL says "about:blank". The last one came up slowly in IE and turned out to be nothing more than a large pdf. Can you help me figure out what is happening and how to fix it, please? It is happening far too often. Running the virus, etc. software has not stopped this problem. Creating a service ; What needs to be added to tnsnames.ora and JDBC url?

DB version: 11.2.0.2
OS platform : Solaris 10
We have a 2 node RAC.
DB name   = mbsprd
Instance1 = mbsprd1
Instance2 = mbsprd2I want Instance 1 (mbsprd1) to be used for our OLTP application and Instance 2 (mbsprd2) to be used for another application of DSS nature.
Based on the syntax
srvctl add service -d <dbname> -s <ServiceName> -r <Preferred Instance> -a <Available Instance>I am going to create 2 services
-- Creating a service called OLTP
srvctl add service -d mbsprd -s OLTP -r mbsprd1 -a mbsprd2-- Creating a service called DSS
srvctl add service -d mbsprd -s DSS -r mbsprd2 -a mbsprd1-- Starting the services

I would like to know what needs to be done at the client side.

I need to get list item anonymous guest link View Only and
Edit URLs (as shown in image below) using JSOM or SharePoint 2013
Search API.

Any one has any idea how to do achieve this?

SharedServices and Workspace URL's are not working in EPM System 11.1.2.2

SharedServices and Workspace URL's are not working in EPM System 11.1.2.2
I have installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 in single server environment (MS 2008 Server R2) with following components:
* Foundation Services
* HFM
* FDM
Have used embedded Weblogic server as application web server and Oracle HTTP server as web server. The installation was successful.
While configuration,
1) I selected the option to deploy web applications SharedServices and Workspace to a single managed server. The applications got successfully deployed to EPMServer0.
2) Also, I selected to configure Oracle HTTP server as web server.
Both these steps were successful.
But SharedServices and Workspace URL's are not working. Getting 404 error.
SharedServices : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/interop/index.jsp
Workspace : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/workspace/
When I checked Weblogic admin console, EPMServer0 is in SHUTDOWN state, tried to start it but it goes in ADMIN state instead of RUNNING.
Checked EPMServer0 log at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given at the end of this message.
Can anyone please suggest a solution for this.

today's update:
* Uninstalled EPM system V11.1.2.2 completely and after rebooting the server installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 again.
* During configuration, deployed SharedServices and Workspace to single managed server EPMServer0 on Weblogic server and configured to Oracle HTTP server as web server. Configuration seems successful.
* Started EPM system.
* checked Weblogic admin console - EPMServer0 goes into ADMIN state from STARTING.
* Checked EPMServer0 logs at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given below:

I want to create an external video widget with iAd. I followed the steps and copied the Url and paste it in the Video pop-up menu in the Properties section of the inspector. When i select 'preview' the video doesn't play and the Url that i pasted is gone.

May have something to do with whether or not the URL can be reached while building your widget. I've got a video on the web. When I enter the URL into the field for the video object and click to another field, the URL is replaced with some text indicating that it is accessing the video then updates itself to displaying just the name of the video file.
It shows just fine in preview and I can see the full path to the video when I export the widget so it should work for you.
Is the video accessible from your Mac while you're laying out your widget?

I am using Sharepoint server 2013 , SQL Server 2012 SP1, PerfomancePoint and Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode.
I built one report in SSDTusing an Analysis Services Cube. This report has 3 parameters. So the idea is use Dashboard Designer to use this SSRS Report and connect it with some PP Filters.
The issue is that I am always obtaining "Unable to find report specified by URL,Please verify that both Server URL and Report URL are correct".
I have the following settings in the PP Report:
Server Mode: SharePoint Integrated
SharePoint Site: http://MySharrepointSite:PortNumber/sites/bicenter
Document library : Documents (selected from drop down, my report is deployed to document library)
Report : report.rdl
When I select the report from drop down list its giving the error in a pop up message box as "Unable
to find report specified by URL,Please verify that both Server URL and Report URL are correct".
I have tried to use the most simple report, only with one parameter, but is always displaying the error above.
When I open the report directly from documents library its working fine and even it is working fine (
when I deployed the report) but the issue is parameters are not showing.
Any idea? Please help.

Hello Tom,
It should be "ReportServer" in the URL, not "ReportService".
In "Reporting Service Configuration Manager" look up the correct URL. Open Internet Explorer with right-mouse click => "Run as Administrator" and open the URL, this should work. Navigate to "Side setting" (on top right side),
go to tab "Security" and add your account with role "System Administrator". Afterwards you should be able to open the URL without running IE as admin.

For your issue, you need to deploy a farm solution using HideCustomAction to hide site settings link. For example to hide “Title, description, and logo” link you can use below code:

Unable to activate internal and external urls at the same time

We have Configured EBS R12 in DMZ setup as described in Figure F-9 of metalink note 380490.1 ,Option 2.4: Using Reverse Proxy with no External Web Tier.
refering to 726953.1 Case History: Implementing a Reverse Proxy Alone in the DMZ Configuration - R12.
but Not able to activate internal and external urls at the same time in this configuration. Only the node where last autoconfig was run getting activated as web node.
When trying to accees the url of the other node it gets redirected to the url (where autoconfig is last run).and for this error observed is Error Code:502 Proxy Error.The specified Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) port is not allowed.(12204).
For both external and internal services are UP.opmn status is live no error.
Using Apache as reverse proxy.

Finally it's resolved...Following is the solution thought to share in the forum:
The configuration of the E-Business Suite environment for DMZ requires profile options hierarchy type to be set
to SERVRESP.
To change the profile options hierarchy type values to SERVRESP, execute the following SQL script as
shown below:
sqlplus / @/patch/115/sql/txkChangeProfH.sql SERVRESP
After successfully completing the above sql script, run Autoconfig in all nodes to complete the profile options configuration.
It's resolved after doing this..

Get site collection url, site url and list url from a full uri?

If I have incoming: only URI's of the format http://a.b.c/d/e/f/g/h/i/j/k/l/m/n/o/p.docx
(And these are coming from multiple farms and multiple site collections) (and i have a web api on some remote server) (and have all the authentication details)
And I want to query just the single the item via csom : check one column and if value="yes" then download the doc:
a. how do i get the absolute site url out of it for " clientcontext ctx = new clientcontext(THISURL) "
b. how do i then get the list uri out of it to push a caml query to to then retrieve it
I could :
a. strip off the filename, that is the easy part :)
b. I could paste "/_api/contextinfo" behind it and POST it first as a httprequest. Then first get the site and web url and later on
find a way to find the list url (which is probably the first item behind the fullWebUrl), but it seems weird to mix this in the mix

Sorry, GetList is only available in the O365 version of Microsoft.SharePoint.Client. If you could test for a root site collection and if there is not one then take the scheme ... + Uri.segments[0] and then get the context. After that you can use
the GetFileByServerRelativeUrl. The following demonstrates this.

New Qos and Firewalls URL Options for gamers for Win10

This is more of a gamer thing.
I'm wondering if there's a way to implement URLs ( instead of IPs ) with ports into Firewalls and QoS? Naturally I don't want to open ports for all IPs and determining all IPs for some sites, when there exist are multiple worlds, can't always be determined.
It would be nice to say, for all *.SomeGame.com allow this port to be open.
Additionally, if this rule is active, give it higher priority than video or voice....
I have seen some gamer systems where their router and firewall have an open port for their games :\ Also, usually most gamers will have Skype/Twitch/Netflix/Hulu open whilst gaming. Naturally, they don't want lag for their games, and would prefer their gaming
to have priority over any voice or video.

You do not need to setup anything like that in any windows for gaming application...even if I running torrent + dc++ client I have no lags or freezes so on. So if you want to setup QoS just find appropriate guide for specific application. And
btw URL's doesn't match game server IP's & port's ranges, so it is never been released under QoS development. Cause QoS is about how to manage your existing LAN bandwidth for applications on your OS installation.

It's a good idea that should be submitted to Apple's developers. (Submitting ideas in these forums might or might not get to the right people, while submitting feedback via Apple's forms will get channeled appropriately.)
In a pinch, you could approximate what you're looking for by bookmarking all of your open tabs into a new folder in your bookmarks, then using the option to "Open in Tabs" when accessing that folder in the Bookmarks menu. That's certainly clumsy compared to a simple one-click "save state" method that you're requesting, but it's something....

Lengthen and shorten the search bar and the URL bar

I like to be able to change the size of the search bar and the URL bar. I hate not seeing the whole URL as needed. And sometimes, I want to read everything I type in the search bar. This is a non-negotiable for me and I have stuck with the 3.+++ because Firefox removed this capability.
I read that the toolbar was now customizable (haha). But there's no way I can find to customize it to MY way. I can move the URL bar ABOVE the search bar, but I don't like it there. It would be satisfactory if I could move both the URL and the search to a separate line, but Firefox, in its wisdom, has decided I'm not permitted to do that easily, if at all.
For me, a good browser works the way I like it to work. I'm never happy when features I use are discarded. It's fine when new ones are added on, but when an update feels like a downgrade to me, I return to the old program. (E.g., I still use XP) If I cannot make this work, I'll have to go back to an old edition that lets me work my way.
I'm anti Procrustean bed.

Thanks Ahnasr but that didn't work in the newer FireFoxes, although it had previously. That's why I posted the question.
However, I had planned to delete the question on here (couldn't find it!) when I discovered I was able to open a new toolbar and place the URL line below the buttons. Then, joyfully, I was able to also move the searchbar to the same line. And, I was thrilled to find that at that point, I was again able to resize both toolbars (although it was less necessary because of the space).
That solved, I am now trying Aurora and so far, so good. I'm amazed at how such a simple thing can be a stopper for me.
Now, if I could figure out how to prevent TABS altogether, I'd be really happy (I keep my WToolbar to the right and open all in new windows).
