Location for JCE jurisdiction policy JAR files

I have a simple question is the location for JCE jurisdiction policy JAR files (local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar) in
<java-home>/lib/security or
<java-home>/lib/security/jce
I am using JDK 1.6.0_14, these jar files come in a seperate package jce_policy-6.zip
Please let me know.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies.
README says just place them under lib/security. But it doesn't say whether to use the path embedded in the zip file (ie:/jce). So that was causing the confusion.
I think it should lib/security and NOT to use jce. If anyone else have more thoughts on it, please let me know.

  • JCE: jurisdiction policy files

Hello, I am new to this forum and my English is not very well. I have the following problem. I wish to use unlimited cryptography within an applet. I know, if I want to use unlimited crypto I have to install the unlimited jurisdiction policy files. Because mostly the JRE is installed under c:\programm files, where a normal user would not have the right to write, it is not very convenient to ask an admin for every workstation to install the unlimited jurisdiction policy files. Is there anyway to use unlimited crypto without touching the clients JRE?!?!
Is it possible to install the unlimited jurisdiction policy files in another location on client at runtime???
Maybe I can use an alternate JCE (BC or GNU)? But how? I think I can not install a new javax.crypto* from an applet? Maybe its possible to user another packet name?
Or is it possible to use the cipher functionality of a provider outside the JCE?
Have somebody had the same problem before? Any answer is very welcome!
    Regards from Berlin!

If it could be done, it would be a serious security bug. Normal users cannot remove or change that file at all under Windows, only power users or admins can do that. An applet can have access to a file, but only if it gets permission to do so (e.g. by being signed by a trusted source, or by being accepted by the user). But to do something with this particular file, an admin should be starting up the browser really.

  • Create  object for a class in jar file

    Hi
I am using Oracle JDeveloper 10g. I have created a main application using Swing/JClient technologies. I am facing a problem for the past one week. I let u all people know my problem and I kindly request you to send a solution if known possibly confirmed.
Problem: I have created a main application using swing that class extends JFrame. This main application consists of two parts. One left side panel and one right side panel. Left side panel contains JTree component. Each item in that tree refers to a class file located in a separate jar file.i.e that acts as a separate application. If we are executing separately that jar file class, I am able to see that small application running. If I am selecting an item in JTree during runtime, I should place that small application from the respective jar file in the right side panel of the main application. I can locate the jar file and even I can create object to that particular class file. But I cannot execute the application even separately and also not able to place in the right side panel of the main application.
Note: The small application from the jar file contains one class file containing main method. That class file extends JPanel and implements JUPanel. i.e., with data binding. I am trying to create an object for this class file with data binding from my main application. Navigation bar is used in the main class file.
If possible can any provide me solution at the earliest. Waiting eagerly for the positive reply.
    Regards,
    s.senthilkumar

Can you sure that there is only a A class in the classpath of Tomcat, I advise you to add
some statements into the A class so that you can be sure which classloader is used
    to load the A class.

  • Location for appserv-deployment-client.jar

    Hi All,
I need small help from this forum. I was search two .jar files using Google. I didn't find this file location. If anybody have this following jar files or this two files location on web. Please send the .jar files to my personal id. [email protected] or share this web location, I'll download ...
    1) appserv-deployment-client.jar
    2) appserv-launch.jar
    Thank You,
    Pattanaik

I think I have found the solution:
Yes, POSSIBLE. Lets say we want to have "prog.jar" and "prog_lib.jar"
    To do that:
    1. First deploy "prog.jar" by excluding all libraries.
    2. Then, deploy "prog_lib.jar" by excluding all classes but including libraries only.
Add the "prog_lib.jar" file into your classpath.
    It should work.
    Any other comments?

  • To generate .cab file for windows Mobile from .jar file

    Hi All
I have a .jar file(running on windows Mobile With J9). Now I want to convert it into .cab file (again must be compatible with Windows Mobile with j9).
There are some tools available which can convert .jar to .cab file but resulting .cab file is not suppported by Windows Mobile with J9.
So can any one help me regarding this as soon as possible...
    Thanks with regards,
    nitesh

    hi Rucha,
The CAB file is available as a part of the ZIP file i had mentioned in my previous posts...
Unzip that file. Then browse thro the folder structure to the Folder i had mentioned. You'll find the CAB files there.

  • Will changing location for Itunes Apps and Music files to different drive (from dive C: to drive E:)now effect how they work. And will Itunes be able to find them, when I do a sync?

Will changing the location of folders effect how my Itunes will run? As I am runnig out of room fast on my C drive. And have almost a 1 terrabyte of room on the drive I want it to all to go to. I was thinking of just cutting and pasting.

    WpgGizmo wrote:

No, but do not simply move files around else you will have a lot of grief...
Do NOT move files then change iTunes prefs to a new location as this will not work.
    Quit iTunes.
Copy your entire /Music/iTunes/ folder (and everything inside it) on your C: drive to the E: drive.
    Hold Shift and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library and select the iTunes folder you copied to the E: drive.
That is all you need to do. You do not need to change any other settings.

  • Advanced question - Alternative location for camera raw 5.6 file?

I have a locked-down corporate computer with Photoshop CS4. It has the original basic load (camera raw 5.0.0.178) plugin.
I can't access the 'program files' folder due to the corporate lock down.  However, I was able to update to camera raw 5.6 by placing the new
plugin into an additional folder on the C drive, and pointing Photoshop CS4 preferences to the 'addtional plugins' folder.
I can now open the raw files from my Canon 50D in ACR and work on them with the new 5.6 file.  I can even double click them from within Bridge and they will open in ACR with the 5.6 plugin and I can work and edit the files.
However, I can't view the RAW thumbnails in Bridge because Bridge doesn't recognize the new 5.6 plugin.  Photoshop recognizes the new 5.6 file in the 'additional plugins' folder, but Bridge does not.
Is there any way to point Bridge to the 'additional plugins' folder? Or, is there any other location (other than the locked down 'program files' folder) I can place the 5.6 file so Bridge will be able to recognize it also?
    thank you,  b2r

    That is just ridiculous.
Are you saying that a "corporate" IT man can't come and put the plug-in in the right place, as required by the software manufacturer?
There are likely to be other problems too.

  • How to use 3rd party jar files for xml transform

    Hi all,
Am using OAS9.0.4 and I deployed my .ear successfully.
In my application am using 4 jar files for xml transformation. (xerces.jar, xalan.jar, xml-apis.jar,xercesImpl.jar)
OAS has its own xmlparserv2.jar file. Its using this jar file for transforming xml data and not even looking for above mentioned 4 jar files.
In opmn.xml, I provided these 4 jar files in to class path. Then also it didn't effect my output.
I also tried as put these 4 jar files into j2ee\home\applib directory, but o result.
Can anybody tell me where should I keep these 4 jar files in OAS and OAS should use these 4 jar files instead of its own xmlparserv2.jar for transforming data.
    Thanks in Anticipation,
    Regards,
    RK

Add the Xbootclasspath variable in the java-options field. It will somewhat look like the following in your opmn.xml file
    <process-type id="<OC4J Instance Name>" module-id="OC4J">
    <module-data>
    <category id="start-parameters">
    <data id="java-options value="........... -Xbootclasspath^/a:<location of your jar files>" />
Ensure to use th ^/a (append) signature

  • Cannot make executable jar file for swt application

hi to all!!! i have started learning swt library and it seems nice to me, but i have one problem, i cannot run my application. The problem is that i cannot make executable jar for it.
i'm using ecilpse_3.1.2 and have pluggined the visual editor for swt! yesterday i found one topic where was described the process of making the swt executable jar, i followed the instructions in the topic, but didn't resolve my problem, so if anybody knows how to achieve this , please help!!!!!!
the instructions in the mentioned topic are :
    1. Make sure the SWT jar file is included in the Eclipse project build path
    a. Download the standalone SWT jar file from eclipse.org even if you already have the ones that come with Eclipse. It is called ?swt.jar? and you will package it with the executable JAR. Make sure it is the same version of SWT that you used to make your program.
    b. In Eclipse, import swt.jar via Project Properties::Java Build Path::Libraries::Add External JARs. (Make sure to include the source .zip file). Also make sure to select the swt package in the ?Order and Export? tab.
    c. At this point, you should be able to compile and run your SWT application in the Eclipse SDK.
    2. Do a standard Eclipse jar file export
    a. Right click on the main .java project file and select ?Export??.
    b. Choose ?JAR File? from the list.
    c. Select the relevant packages and .classpath and .project resource files
    d. Make sure ?Export generated class files and resources? is selected and browse to the location where you want the JAR file to be created.
    e. Specify ?Generate the manifest file? and don?t seal the JAR or any packages. Choose the class containing the main method as the ?Main class?.
    3. Change the manifest file
    a. Navigate to the JAR file you created and open it with WinZip.
    b. Open the MANIFEST.MF file inside and copy the contents.
    c. Create a new file called ?MANIFEST.MF? and paste in the contents of the old manifest file.
    d. Add the line ?Class-Path: <swt jar file path>?. For simplicity, you can just keep a copy of the swt.jar file in the same folder as the executable jar, in which case, the line is ?Class-Path: swt.jar?. Make sure there is a carriage return after the last line in the manifest file, or that line will not be parsed.
    4. Replace the manifest file
    a. Make sure the manifest file and the executable jar are in the same folder.
    b. Open the command prompt and navigate to the containing folder.
    c. Enter the command ?jar umf MANIFEST.MF <executable jar name>? to update the manifest file with the class path information.
    5. Package the JAR with SWT files
    a. Put the updated executable JAR file, swt.jar, and the associate DLL in the same folder. The DLL can be pulled out of swt.jar and should have a name like ?swt-win32-####.dll? on Windows.
    b. The JAR file should now successfully execute. On Windows, you can usually just double click the JAR file in explorer and it will open. If that does not work, the command ?java ?jar <executable jar name>? on the command line has the same effect.
but a few steps aren't exact for me , for example : first, which jar i have to include in build path : downloaded or from plugins folder, second
i have to incude source.zip too??? but it is only in downloaded zip file which includes both swt.jar and src.zip, and finally can anyone clarify next :
"5. Package the JAR with SWT files
    a. Put the updated executable JAR file, swt.jar, and the associate DLL in the same folder. The DLL can be pulled out of swt.jar and should have a name like ?swt-win32-####.dll? on Windows."
what does this mean, put these in folder or make jar from them????

    wolve634 wrote:
but a few steps aren't exact for me , for example : first, which jar i have to include in build path : downloaded or from plugins folder, secondTry it both ways. If neither works, then ask again. In a suitable forum, though. An Eclipse forum or an SWT forum or something related to where you got those instructions would make a lot more sense than asking here.
i have to incude source.zip too???No, of course you don't have to distribute the source code.
    a. Put the updated executable JAR file, swt.jar, and the associate DLL in the same folder. The DLL can be pulled out of swt.jar and should have a name like ?swt-win32-####.dll? on Windows."
what does this mean, put these in folder or make jar from them????It says "Put (them) in the same folder". You're asking whether that means to put them in a folder? Yes, it does.

  • Jar file for IService

Hi everyone, I am working on EP 6.0 SP 2 and Eclipse 2.1. I need the jar file for
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.IService
Can you tell me where the jar file is located.
Another general question of searching jar file:
    Under the folder ...irj\root\WEB-INFO\portal\portalapps\
there are a lot of project names. If I know a class or interface's name like this how can I find the jar file I need. In naming standard of these projects can I get any hint for finding the relevant jar file if I do not have the utility program like Jar finder?
    Thanks for early reply.
    BR.
    Wang

    Hi
The jar file is prtapi.jar located in the WEB-INF/portal/lib directory.
If you are using windows then you can simply perform a search from a particular directory for *.jar containing the text IService. You cant (from what I have tried) search for the package name, but this is how I find the class files
    I hope this helps

  • In oracle B2B multiple files are getting picked from SFTP location for one file in custer environment

    Flow is like :
    REST ENDPOINT->OSB PROXYSERVICE->BUSINESS SERVICE->B2B SFTP LOCATION->B2B->SOA JMS Queue->SOA COMPOSITE-
Due to cluster environment, there is issue when B2B picks the file from SFTP location for Custom protocol using sftp listening channel. Sometimes B2B picks multiple files from SFTP location for just one copy of file. It is happening because of cluster environment 4 instances of server is looking into the SFTP location for picking the file and sometime 2 or more instances of server are reading same file and sending the copy to B2B.
Please let me know , how can I stop this behavior

All QFE's have been applied we are building the image so we have some control.
I have build an image which used the debug DLL's of the FATFS and I have enabled all of the DebugZones.  The problem is still happening. From the timings in the debug logs and the timestamps in the data which corrupts the test file I have been able
to see that the file is corrupted AFTER the write is complete. Or at least that's how it seems.
We finished writing the file and closed the handle. Then more data is written to other files. When we get around to verifying the file it now contains data from the files that were subsequently written.
What I think I need to do is figure out in detail how the two files were "laid down" onto the SDCard.  If the system used the same cluster to write the 2 files then that would explain the issue.
