Log in Set Cookie if field = 1

Can anyone help me with this please.
I have a log in page which issues a cookie and seems to work
brilliantly but now need to add the ability to activate/deactivate
a user.
I've added an 'active' field to the database where active can
only equal 1 or zero. So what I'd like to do now is edit the login
script to deny login if the 'active' field = 0.
I'm sure it's quite straightforward but I'm afraid it's
proving a bit beyond me. I've attached the existing code in case
anyone has the time to help me out.
Cheers
Dave

You can modify the code to work how you want, you might get a
red exclamation mark in your server behaviors panel, but the code
will work on the server. try using this code in place of your
query. This examples needs a coulmn named dcc_active in your db,
change to what ever your is named.
mysql_select_db($database_con_dcc, $con_dcc);
$active_UserValue = 0; // Use 1 if that equals an active user
$query_rsLogin = sprintf("SELECT dcc_user, dcc_password FROM
dcc_users WHERE dcc_user= '%s' AND dcc_password = '%s' AND
dcc_active = '%s'",
$myUsername_rsLogin,$myPassword_rsLogin,$active_UserValue);

  • How to deal with the "Set-Cookie" field in HTTP header??

    I follow the RFC-2616 specification to write a socket program to fetch web pages.
    I have to deal with all the fields included in the HTTP header.
    But the RFC-2616 doesn't talk anything about the "Set-Cookie" field.
    Does anyone know how to handle this field or provide me any useful documentation.
    Any help is appreciated.

    A cookie is set with the "Set-Cookie: "-field in the http header, like this:
    Set-Cookie: mycookie=someValue
    This cookie should only be returned to the same host as it came from, like this in the http header of a request:
    Cookie: mycookie=someValue
    If the parameter looks like this:
    Set-Cookie: mycookie=someValue; path=/cgi-bin
    , the cookie should only be returned to the host if the request path starts with /cgi-bin
    If the parameter looks liek this:
    Set-Cookie: mycookie=someValue; domain=.mydomain.com
    , the cooke should be returned to all hosts in the .mydomain.com-domain
    There is also a "expires="-field, which works as expected and a "secure"-field, which I'm not sure how to handle. Maybe the cookie should only be sent to an SSL-enabled host?
    Hope this helps you. Bye,
    Dag W.

  • How to set HTTP header field "cookie" with http receiver adapter?

    Hi,
    I am using http receiver adapter (not axis) in a scenario. I could not set a parameter with key cookie in http header. Is there some kind of restriction to set it? I am able to set others like connection and create custom fields using ASMA and dynamic key configuration via UDF on mapping.
    Could you please comment on, is cookie http parameter special or noneditable by PI's http adapter? I am looking for a solution without editing any abap code...
    Regards,

    I believe it is possible since axis adapter provides very same functionality. Let me summarize my scenario may be it helps:
    I am trying to call series of webservice lets say in a BPM. First service (login service) will provide me with a session id (in http header with key Set-Cookie) then I will call another service which has that session id in its http header with key cookie then I am going to logout. So I am testing the second part now, but it doest let me send cookie http header parameter.
    I hope I clarified a bit more my problem.

    What version of JDBC driver are you using?
    Is there any unicode characters used in your data?
    Have you tried offline data move?

  • Question about setting cookies and custom authentication

    I have a question about setting cookies.
    I have two different 'projects' in HTMLDB - we will call them App1 and App2.
    I also have two different connection configurations setup in the DADs.conf file. - we will call them Connect1 and Connect2.
    App1 is setup to use database authentication (no user is specified in the DAD) and uses Connect1. Once the user successfully logs in, we set a username cookie (this is a persistent connection).
    We created a custom authenticatoin scheme for App2 - this scheme checks for the username cookie (set by App1). We would like for App2 to use Connect2 (HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER is the default user specified and it uses connection pooling).
    Is it possible to set a cookie from App1, Connect1 for App2, Connect2 - then redirect to App2 and pick up that cookie?
    Here is an example of what we are trying to accomplish:
    A user loggs into App1, we set a cookie, and the user is redirected to App2. If the cookie exists, we allow them access to the home page in App2, if no cookie, we redirect back to a 'Login Failed' page in App1. We don't want App2 to use the same database connection as App1 though, we need App2 to use connection pooling.
    Is this possible? OR...Is there a better way to accomplish what we want to do?
    This is an enhancement to an existing app. Our requirements are to use Database Authentication (setup where pass expires after 60 days or so, cannot reuse last 3 passwords, etc.) - which is already setup and being used by other applications in our organization. All of our users have accounts in the database. We don't want users to have a new username/pass - and we don't want to manage a separate group for HTMLDB apps.
    The existing application uses HTMLDB's built in authentication - which uses database username/pass, and it uses connection pooling, but we cannot handle the pass expire stuff in it, unless there's something we're not seeing or understanding - at least that's how our DBA explained it to us.
    Any help with this will be appreciated so much. I can send you the code we have if needed.
    Thanks!

    Same problem here.  I have so many problems with this remote app.  Is there an iTunes API? I would like to write my own remote app that actually works.

    Here's one more reason why this error occurs in Toad. It is when you have more than one Oracle Client installed on your machine. Even when you select the correct Oracle Home in "Connect Using" field of Toad, you still get this error "Can't initialize OCI. Error -1". So, to solve that you need to go to the installation folder of that Oracle Home (e.g. C:\Oracle\ora92\), then go to the BIN folder. Open Oracle.Key in Notepad and confirm that it is showing Registry entry/path to the correct Oracle Home (e.g. HOME0 or HOME1 or whatever).
    I hope this helps.

  • XSQL set-cookie

    When I write an XSQL cookie, it won't actually do it until i refresh the login screen, i.e.:
    1) Enter username and password into XHTML page
    2) Post to auth.xsql
    3) auth.xsql reads the username and password and authenticates
    4) all user information for that username and password is pulled out of the database
    5) attempt at writing cookie fails.
    6) when i refresh the page, the cookie then has a value and shows up.
    Why is this? And also, is there any way of deleting the cookie, like with a logout button, using XSQL? Maybe like XSQL:delete-cookie ?
    Thanks!
    Here's the code:

  • Setting cookie to save username/password information

    Hello,
    I have created an Application in PhP/MySql. The Mysql database used by my application is hosted by my website provider. The problem is the website provider has set the Timeout of 1 minute for connection to database.So, if there is inactivity of more than 1 minute then user is logged out and he has to Login Again. To resolve this issue I want to store Username/Password as cookie in my browser, so that the user is not logged out again and again. I created by application using Dreamweaver CS4 and used its Login Server Behaviour to create my login page.I would really appreciate if someone can guide me about setting cookies in a dreamweaver created login page.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    I also tried setting up the cookies to prevent user being logged out due to inactivity but soon realized it is not going to help me, once I looked closely looked on authentication code.I then called my website provider and told them about the issue. The technical support gotten back to me telling that
    they have noticed that the session path for my account was not set properly and they have set it again.This seems to have resolved the issue!
    Thanks all for your help!

  • IWS 4.1 Set-cookie

    Hi all
    The "IWS 4.1 SP5" http header response is:
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Server: Netscape/Enterprise/4.1
    Date:
    Set-cookie:
    In our system, the "Set-cookie" header needs to be "Set-Cookie", with "C" instead of "c"
    Is there any configuration file or similar where we can change this header?
    Thank you very much
    R&F

    No, there is no configuration option to change the case of the HTTP header fields generated by the server. Note that the HTTP specification requires that clients treat "Set-cookie" and "Set-Cookie" as equivalent.

  • Setting cookies across domains

    Hi there all,
    I'm posting this in desperation to be honest, don't think
    there is a cut'n'dried
    answer to this one.
    I've got a horrible situation, (don't ask why, it's far too
    complex and to
    be quite honest.. boring :) ).
    I'm trying to "mesh" together a classic .asp with an asp.NET
    site on 2
    separate domains.
    Basically I've got a page from the asp.NET site (eg.
    www.something.co.uk)
    displayed within an iframe on the .asp (eg
    www.another.co.uk). So far so
    good.
    I need to set a cookie on www.another.co.uk and be able to
    read it, or
    replicate it on www.something.co.uk. Because they are not
    sub-domains I can't
    set the cookie direct because of security restrictions.
    So, I thought I could pass a URL variable across to
    www.something.co.uk via
    the iframe URL, and then using javascript to read said URL
    variable and set
    a cookie on the www.something.co.uk domain. No go. Suspect
    there is yet
    again security restrictions to setting cookies across domains
    using iframe.
    So I'm kind of stuck. Can anybody suggest anything please,
    bearing in mind I
    have very limited control over the asp.NET
    (www.something.co.uk) site, so
    any solution I come up with needs to be using javascript.
    Major sized thanks in advance.
    @ndyB

    You could also pass the id as a hidden field in a form.
    Have the link call a JavaScript function. The JavaScript funcition could access the cookie and pull out the id. The function would then set a hidden field in a form to the id value and then Post the form to the secure server.
    The form would only have hidden fields so it could be tagged on the end of the HTML page and the user would never know it was there.

  • Set Cookies in a Webbrowser control

    Hi All,
    I have a problem regarding webbrowser control in windows phone 8. I have a Native Login page in the app where we login user through service. In response of the login service we get a token.
    Now I have a page with WebBrowser control.In web browser control we open a url which has login page and dashboard. As the user is already logged in and we have the token. So we need to navigate user directly to dashboard instead of the login page.
    To do this in webbrowser control we need to set Cookies in control. How can we do this task?
    Please help me as we need to close this issue asap. Thanking you in advance.

    I have a very similar authentication flow in my app.  Using native calls (HttpClient) I am able to retrieve the authentication token, and can easily set a cookie with that token, and use the cookie with subsequent
    native calls via HttpClient.
    I believe that what you are asking for is the ability to add that cookie (with the token you got natively) into the webbrowser control's cookie store
    BEFORE trying to load your dashboard page.  You want your webbrowser control's request for the dashboard page to provide the cookie so that the user doesn't have to log
    in again, and only one webbrowser request is made.  Is this correct?
    Sadly, I do not think this is possible.  The other answers describe how to add a cookie to a webbrowser control's page after that page has been loaded.  This is adding the cookie to the "document" within the browser control, not
    into the webbrowser control's store.  These approaches will not allow you to add the cookie into the webbrowser control's store, ahead of time, so that it will be sent when you first request the page.
    If I am correct about what you are asking for (I want this too!) it is not supported on Windows Phone as you cannot write directly to the webbrowser control's cookie store.  You can read it, but not write to it.  It's sad as this particular
    authentication flow is very common, and easy to achieve on both iOS and Android... just not on Windows Phone.
    To get around this in my app, I perform my native authentication (HttpClient) and then authenticate
    again within the webbrowser control itself.  Basically, load the login page into the browser, then submit the login form via eval of JavaScript, and when that finishes loading (valid
    response), load the actual target page.  This is a fragile and inefficient hack, but it seems to work.
    Hope this helps...

  • IE not set cookie for downloaded js file.Why?

    I'm trying to  download a js file from a different domain  like main page  is from  www.abc.com but js file is from www.def.com. www.def.com sets a cookie . All major browsers get the cookie and sends it in the other requests to www.def.com.But
    IE sends this cookie to www.abc.com. Cookie has also domain field set www.def.com. Any possible solution?

    How, specifically, is the cookie set?
    When you use document.cookie to set a cookie, ALL BROWSERS set the cookie in the domain in which the script runs (e.g. the page that includes it). NO BROWSERS set the cookie in the domain from which the script downloaded.
    When you use a SET-COOKIE response header to set a cookie, MOST browsers set the cookie in the domain from which the download occurs. Internet Explorer will IGNORE that cookie (not setting it anywhere) unless a P3P statement is supplied. See
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2013/09/17/simple-introduction-to-p3p-cookie-blocking-frame.aspx

  • Whats happening to my set-cookie header?

    I'm writing a desktop client for a Django app running on an https domain.
    I'm attempting to retrieve cookies set by the django site when I call the site using URLRequest as follows:
    var urlVariables = new air.URLVariables();
    urlVariables.foo = "bar"
    var request = new air.URLRequest("https://www.example.com/api/foo/");
    request.data = urlVariables;
    request.method = air.URLRequestMethod.POST;
    var loader = new air.URLLoader();
    loader.addEventListener(air.HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_RESPONSE_STATUS, httpStatusHandler);
    loader.addEventListener(air.Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);
    loader.addEventListener(air.IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioErrorHandler);
    loader.load(request);
    However if I loop over the headers returned by the site like so...
    function httpStatusHandler(event){
        for(var i=0; i<event.responseHeaders.length; i++){
           air.trace(event.responseHeaders[i].name);
    ...I discover that that the Set-Cookies header is conspicuously absent.
    Is this a deliberate security restriction for calls to HTTPS sites? I'm completely baffled.
    Any help appreciated.

    Go into the System Preferences and click on Users & Groups. Try creating a new user account and then log into it to see if you have the same issues. Since your hard drive appears to be fine with plenty of space on it, and you have no major permission's issues, creating a new user for test purposes will help confirm whether you are dealing with some sort of software issue. Did you recently install some new software?
    If a new user account resolves the issue then open the Activity Monitor application located in the Applications/Utiliteis folders and click on the CPU button. In the lower left corner you should see a summary listing the % User, % System, % Idle. What are these percentages? If the CPU idle percentage is near zero then you have a process running that is consuming your SPU time. To try and find it pull down the menu to select 'All Processes', then click on the %CPU column to sort by the percent that each process is consuming your CPU.   The numbers constantly change, but do your best to see if there are one or two processes consuming the majority of the CPU time and post the names. Then do the same test in the new user account. I suspect you may have some process from a previously installed utility, virus checker, etc. that is keeping your system busy. I've included a screenshot from my system below. It doesn't have much going on, and as you can see in the lower left corner the CPU is basically idle most of the time. If I were to launch a CPU intensive app the numbers would change dramatically.

  • Multiple set-cookies directives

    Hi All- I'm testing against an http server that sends multiple set-cookies directives (there are 4 cookies total). As far as I can tell, it is legit HTTP to either send a single set-cookie directive with multiple cookies in it, or multiple set-cookies directives. I am getting erratic behavior. Using the wtk emulator, i am able to receive and process multiple set-cookies directives. Using some phones it works, on others it doesn't. I am trying to create a unit test for my code, and I am unable to figure out how to set up the classpath the same way the emulator does to work with multiple set-cookies directives.
    I searched the jars in the wtk22 directory, and it appears that wtklib/emptyapi.zip, wtklib/gcf-op.jar, lib/midpapi10.jar and lib/midpapi20.jar all contain the HttpConnection class. I am guessing that the emulator is picking up a different implementation than my unit test or the phones that don't work? Has anyone encountered and solved this problem before? Is there a way at runtime to determine from which jar a class was loaded?
    thanks,

  • How to use Radio Buttons in SAP BI 7 for a set of three fields?

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    We are using SAP BI 7. We need to use Radio button to select one field name (out of a set of three fields) which
    appeared on selection screen.
    The scenario is; we have three fields
    1) Field Name A
    2) Field Name B
    3) Field Name C
    Now, we need to select one field(using Radio button) from the above and later the report related to the above
    selected field should be displayed.
    The three reports will be as follows:
    1) Report A
    2) Report B
    3) Report C
    if Field Name A  is selected then Report A  will be displayed,
    if Field Name B  is selected then Report B  will be displayed and
    if Field Name C  is selected then Report C  will be displayed.
    To display the report we have two cases;
    1) There will be a common selection screen and all the three reports will come in single workbook but in seperate worksheet.
    2) There will be a common selection screen and all the three reports will come in same worksheet, one after the other.
    Is it possible to create the report in this manner, if yes, please suggest the steps.
    Regards,
    DV.

    I think you would just use commands to do the following:
    1. Hide report Analysis Item 2 and Analysis Item 3 if the 1st button was pushed.
    2. Hide report Analysis Item 1 and Analysis Item 3 if the 2nd button was pushed.
    3. Hide report Analysis Item 1 and Analysis Item 2 if the 3rd button was pushed.
    Hope that helps...
