Log on failure: DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST

Hi all,
When i log on to the system its directly going to short dump and giving this error:
DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST, Does anyone came through similar kind off issue?

Hi Ramakrishna,
yes this could happen, but there are different reasons possible. You should try to analyze the dump. An invalid SQL request could have different reasons (there are probably millions of SQL statements). Sometimes you get the problem because of an structure change on a table which does not complete, or by a report which does not adapt correctly to a structure change. But there is no single problem which could lead to that error message. If you send the code snippet which caused the problem, we may be see the problem instantly.

Ralph

    Hi,
I found one good link for the relevant document for your problem...
    [BB Configuration Guide|http://help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/500/Documentation/L13_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc]
On the Best Practices for EC&O documentation DVD, from the Misc\ECnO_US\OpenPS folder, copy the files OpenPS4MSP1.dll and patch.bat to C:\Program Files\OpenPS4MSP\Bin.
If the file exists, replace the old one with the one on the DVD.
Double click on patch.bat in the C:\Program Files\OpenPS4MSP\Bin folder to register the file
You might get answers for all the questions...

After about 2 weeks of battling installations of both Fedora and SAP NetWeaver Testdrive I have now reached the point of where I can use the gui to go to SAP.
When I want to log in I get an immediate short dump saying: DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST. Invalid call of database interface. In this thread: SAP NetWeaver 04 Testdrive SR1 with MaxDB they talk about the solution being in the hosts file. I have tried that but to no avail.
Here is what I have configured:
    hostname = localhost.localdomain
    string to connect = conn=/H/localhost/S/3200
    my hosts file looks like:
    127.0.0.1               localhost
    10.0.0.14               localhost localdomain
    195.155.155.1   nw4host
I have played around with the hostname by changing it to: localhost, NW4HOST and localhost.localdomain
Further I checked if everything is running, it is.
Anybody knows where I need to look?
    Regards,
    RolandD

    Hello all,
well, i have installed SAP netweaver testdrive sr1 on linux Fedora Core 3. On server, everything works fine but I can't connect from my local server.
I'm using SAPgui 4.6D on windows and I receive the same message than your first.
Here is my /etc/hosts file :
    127.0.0.1 localhost     serveur.vileo.localhost serveur
    192.168.0.1 serveur     fredborn.no-ip.org
    192.168.0.1 nw4host
    But that change nothing...
here is the error message :

  • Can't Setup eMail - Keep Getting Log In Failures

    Merry Christmas everyone.
My daughter received a Blackberry Curve 9300 on TalkMobile as her main Christmas present.
Everything seems to work with the exception of eMail Setup.
I have my own domain hosted by an ISP and my eMails are served from that.  Over the years I've set up many accounts and eMail clients to access it without any problem, so I thought BB would be straightforward.
Initially, I'm asked to provide email address and password and BB tries to automatically set up the connection.  Not surprisingly this fails because the provider isn't one of the famous big names.
So I then get the opportunity to enter manually.  I enter
    Type = POP3
    eMail Address
    Password
    Server Name
    Username
There is some question about username as when setting up eMail clients my ISP requires name@domain, but BB suggests using just the name part.
Anyway, I've tried both combinations of username and each time BB eventually comes back and says 'log in failed' and that I should check the username and password.
I have even received automated emails reporting the failure. containing the details I have entered so I know that BB are getting the correct information.
I'm 100% certain that the information is correct.  I even tried creating an account on my MS Outlook on my PC using the exact same details and it connected straight away.
I've contacted my ISP and they have confirmed that BB connections are welcome and not blocked in any way.
So why won't the BB connect to the eMail server when provided with the correct email details - there must be something else stopping it.
I'd appreciate any help or advice.
    Cheers,
    Nigel

  • Home Directory and different volume failed generates log in failure

I'm running OS X server 10.5.2. The set up is still used for test and learning purposes but I'm nearly finishing and knowing what I can and want to do.
However, there remains a large issue unresolved.
I have several volumes available on me server
    1. the startup volume
    2. a data volume
The users home folders are generated on either the start up or the data volume.
Login is successful for all users when I log in directly on the server.
When I login using my test client (MBP running 10.5.2) the accounts with their home located at the data volume are receiving the following messages:
"You are unable to log in to the user account '<account>' at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred"
Anyone who can help me with resolving this issue?
Anyone who knows where the error is logged?

I just added the group name and granted that with read and write access to the volume.
That seemed to be the trick.
I'll hope this solves some issues for others, I spend months on this one ...

  • Logging subsystem failure in WS7u8

Hello, I am seeing an issue related to the logging system built in to WS7u8.
I have a fairly simple web service that I built in Netbeans 6.8 using JAX-WS 2.2. I have deployed the service on both Solaris 10/SPARC and RHEL 5.4/x84_64 installations of WS7u8, and in both cases I see the following error logged when I attempt to call the web service (with log level set to finest in the General->Log Preferences panel of the admin interface):

So after reading your reply, I moved my JARs from prefix to suffix, and while it still throws the same exception, the stack trace is different. Actually, there are two stack traces now, and the first one points out where in my code things are going off the rails.

  • Anyconnect VPN log in failure

Today we had a very disturbing failure.  We have a fully functional VPN on our ASA 5510 adaptive security device running 8.2(5).  I was setting up a new user on a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machine using FireFox instead of Internet Explorer.
The initial connection worked fine but the download of the client failed.  I clicked on the link provided to manually download the client and the Cisco VPN client appeared to download and install properly.  However, when I attempted to open the VPN after the client install it again said that the automatic download of the client failed and it offered the link to download the client again, which I did with exactly the same result.
I thought that perhaps the problem was with FireFox so I opened Internet Explorer and entered the url for the VPN.  After the user-id and password were entered (and validated) I received the same error about the client download failure and I selected the link to manually download just like I did the other 3 times in FireFox.  This time it actually looked like it was working as I received the certificate error about AnyConnect (which I normally get) however, the login screen remained on the page after I clicked on the certificate error to continue.
The PC appeared to hang so I ended the VPN session and then attempted to reestablish the connection.  This time when I entered the user-id and password it came back saying "Invalid Logon".  I tried again and received the same result.  I tried a different user but no joy... same result... invalid login.  I went to a different PC; one that had been working fine only a few minutes earlier, and I received the same invalid login message no matter which user-id and password I entered.  Something had happened that was blocking all users from connecting to the VPN.
I didn't want to believe that attempting to connect to the VPN using FireFox on a Windows 7 64 bit machine could somehow bring my Cisco VPN down but I was out of options... so I rebooted the ASA and much to my disappoinment the reboot fully restored the VPN service.
Now if this were a $75 dollar LinkSys Router instead of a several thousand dollar security device I would just shake it off, but how can it be that a failed connection attempt could bring a Cisco ASA 5510 VPN to its knees?  I thought that maybe I had exceeded the license max for SSL VPN connections... I think its 2... but if that was the cause then why wouldn't the message indicate such instead of just saying "invalid login".  Also, there were no other open connectionsat the time, unless all the failed downlaod attempts counted as active sessions.  I also had already checked in ASDM and no active VPN sessions were listed.
Any guidence anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Ed

    Hi Edward,
I went through the issue and I think that you have only 2 license for SSL and when you try connection multiple times, nomatter whether the install took place correctly or it failed but the sessions were built on the ASA and after building the session, ASA pushed those files on the client machines. I know it does give you a irrelevant message saying "Invalid Logon" however if you will run the debug web svc 255 on the ASA (using SSH/Telnet), you will see a message:
Session could not be established. Session limit of 2 reached
You are saying that you did not see any session on the ASA, so could you please get the output of the command:
debug web anyconnect 255 (or debug web svc 255) and share with us.
    Thanks,
    Vishnu Sharma

  • Set Maximum number of LOG IN failures

I have password protected pages and would like to find a way
to limit the number of failed login attempts by a user. Is there
code to use. I am using DW 8 in ASP and the 'LOG IN USER' server
behavior. I am recording the 'REMOTE_ADDR' server variable and the
time-date of the login. Can this help i would like to block a IP
address for a set time if more than 3 log in attempts fail. Goto
    http://www.gohbcc.com/CallCenter/LOGIN.asp
    username; admin
    password; 1234
    Thanks MikeL7

Have your login form send users to a second script page....
    <form name="form1" method="post"
    action="secondpage.asp">
... that compares results against the database and adds
criteria based on the failed response, and redirecting users
    appropriately.
    rs("LastLogin") = date()
    rs("ip") = Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_HOST")
    rs("loginstatus") = "blocked"
    rs.Update
You can update fields into that users recordset when they
login. Add fields into the DB table as needed (above is just an
example of criteria you may wish to capture)
Add the redirects based on your recordset queries
    if ip = "" THEN
    response.redirect "whereever they are going.asp"
elseif ip = "duplicate ip address" THEN
    response.redirect "failed logins .asp"
    else
    response.redirect "login.asp?err=true"
    end if
You can get as fancy or simple as you want. for example, you
could have multiple criteria for each response redirect. You just
have to make sure you define the variables...
    ip = rs("ip")
    or
    session("name") = rs("name")
    etc.
Make sense? Ditch the premade stuff that dreamweaver uses and
    create your own login scripts.

  • Log & Transfer Failure

I had FCP Studio 5 on this computer and had no problems Logging and Transferring P2 footage from the "CONTENT" folders. It would populate and drag and drop and do everything fine. Then I upgraded to FCP 6 and the Log and Transfer Box will come up but when I select the same folders and click "Open" nothing happens. It doesn't give me a prompt that I'm doing anything wrong. It doesn't populate with my clips.... It just doesn't do anything at all. Am I missing a driver, download, upgrade? Thanks guys for any idea on this. I'm tired of moving all my drives to my MacBook Pro, transferring them and moving it back once I have the clips dropped.

I'd run Software Update and install everything it asks to install. No danger in any update out there as far as I know.
If your install of FCP 6 isn't clean, I'd perform a clean install too... this means that you must start with an erased or new drive, install the OS you're running, update it all the way, then install studio over that clean OS, and update it all the way. Keep running software update until you are entirely up to date. This may take several tries at it... Clean installs make ALL the difference sometimes. It's been my rule to do a clean installation any time there is an upgrade to a new OS (aka 10.5 to 10.6) or a new version of studio. Upgrade buttons work only some of the time in my experience.

  • Genius Log In Failure

    Hello all!
So I just recently put together a new PC and ported over all my music accordingly. I authorized the computer and even browsed around on the iTunes Store. Then I went to activate Genius, but when I log in it returns the following Error:
"The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect. Please Try Again"
From time to time it says that I can't connect to the iTunes Network, but when I try to duplicate this with the regular store there isn't any problem at all. Is Genius not working or is there something possibly wrong with my iTunes account?
    Thanks for any help,
    Christopher

I tried to actually open one of my songs in my collection and found it prompted a very common error. I was able to go to the PC Authorization help guide and had to turn off all my OS prompt settings and it did the trick. Everything seems to be running fine now.
Thanks for any who read the post though,
    Christopher

  • Log in failure, but correct DAD settings ?!

The DAD settings are correct. I'm sure. It works with SQL*Plus.
When I try to access portal, this occurs:
    Proxy log On failed.
Please verify that you have specified correct connectivity information i.e.username, password & connect-string in the Database Access Descriptor
    Error-Code:12640
    Error TimeStamp:Sat, 12 May 2001 17:43:15 GMT
    Database Log In Failed
TNS is unable to connect to destination. Invalid TNS address supplied or destination is not listening. This error can also occur because of underlying network transport problems.
Verify that the TNS name in the connectstring entry of the DAD for this URL is valid and the database listener is running.
    Any ideas???

I encountered the same problem earlier. You can try these:
You can disable proxy by running a procedure given in the docs (troubleshooting section) and try.
Else, have a database in your ias_home and reinstall portal. I did this and it worked.

  • Log in failure

Unable to log in on iPad.

    Hi Jazzeej,
It looks like you have created your Adobe id on Adobe.com, which does not ask for date of birth. But, this information is required when you access acrobat.com on the web or the mobile device. When you use that Adobe id to login to https://files.acrobat.com, you will be prompted to enter the date of birth.
Once you have entered the date of birth, you will be presented with terms of use. Please accept the terms of use and you will now be able to access the service on the web browser.Once your configuration on files.acrobat.com is complete, you can access the service on your mobile device as well.
Let us know if you still face any difficulties with sign in to Acrobat.com.
    Thanks

  • Is there a debug log file for iTunes "Add to Library" failures?

I have an odd movie file (mp4, h264, AAC) that iTunes will not import. I transcode, tag and import videos all the time but this one fails silently on import. I've tried the drag n drop, import to library and auto-import folder methods. Nada. It plays fine in the standalone quicktime player, so it is somewhat compatible.
Does anyone know if and where iTunes logs these failures? I've been poking around the console app logs but cannot find anything. I'd love to know why it is rejecting it. I suspect it is a compatibility issue.
    Thanks
    Drew

Thanks for the reply Jim. Yes I did notice this option, it wasn't too attractive to me as it claimed the 2.5gb 720p file would be 5.5Gb after this processing! A gave it a shot anyway, but keep getting an error - "This operation cannot be completed (OSStatus error 38.)". Have to google that one some....
It's not the end of the world if I can't import this one into iTunes. But it did make me a little surprised about the seemingly complete lack of debug logging for the application. With Apple's focus on user experience, the completely silent rejection of this file, with no feedback or error message is not right.
    Cheers
    Drew
