Logarithmic plot breaks with change in minimum value

If I try to alter the Y-axis scale on a logarithmic line plot---specifically, if I change the minimum value in the inspector---the axis suddenly becomes dramatically wrong.
Try for example: create a column with values 20, 30, and 100. Select and choose a line graph from Charts. In the inspector, choose logarithmic in the Y-axis drop-down.
This should work well so far. Now, set the minimum Y-axis value to 10 instead of 1. If I do this, the graph points do not move, while the values on the Y-axis dramatically change; all the data points are now erroneously above the 100 line.
I don't get any bad behavior if I change the maximum value; only the minimum seems to break the graph. Does anyone else get the same misbehavior?

I moved from LV2010 to LV2012 recently, and started modifying the Actor Framework template as per my application need. Here is the sequence of changes:
1) Create Independent Actors (while creating template)
2) Add extra actors, and assign proper inheritance
3) Open the Application Launcher Actor VI (One which starts the entire app layers and establishes connection between them)
At step 3, I modify the code to Launch several other actors and enqueue the messages. Everything works perfect, till a point that the Launch Actor.vi become broken (Shows static VI reference error) randomly.
Is there something I am doing wrong here?

Changing Substitution Variables - Value takes time to appear in Planning

I have an issue with changing substitution variables values. When I do it, Planning takes about 5 minutes to "know" about that change and till then, it continues working with the previous value. Any Idea of how I can solve that?

By default, each substitution variable is retrieved and cached from the Essbase server every five minutes or 300 seconds). You can change the retrieval interval by adding the SUBST_VAR_CACHE_LIFETIME property and setting its value in seconds.
To set Planning application or system properties:
1. Select Administration, then Manage Properties.
2. Select:
*Application Properties: set properties for the current application.
* System Properties: set properties for all Planning applications.
3. To:
* Change a property, change its value under Property Value.
*Add a property, click Add. Enter a name (avoid using spaces) and value for the property in the blank row.
If you enter a property already on the tab, its name turns red to indicate it is a duplicate. You can duplicate properties between the application and system tabs.
4. Click Save and confirm your changes.
5. Stop and then restart the application server

Charge sales order value with a minimum value

Dear All,
I have one requirement where I would like to charge my sales order value with a minimum value. For example, a minimum sales order value requirements are set at $1,400.00 (the minimum values can be different based on the different materials) per order, if the value of the order exceeds $1,400.00, therefore no minimum fee is applied or displayed and the customer is charged the actual value of the order; if the value of the order is less than the minimum thus the customer is charged the minimum. We also can set the minimum as quantity.
Is there any standard functionality through which this can be done.. or any suggestion?

You can maintain the Condition Record with Condition Type as AMIW wrt to Division & Price Group.You can change the Accesses as per your requirements.

You can try similar to the one below:

you can change the values of your spot swatch, but you have to check many things before.
e.g. you can do something like this:

Plot empty point in line chart with previous non empty value

I have a problem to plot series data in SSRS line chart, with the empty point, I don't want use average and zero provided by the report builder, I want use the last non empty data to fill the empty point, tried to use expression =Previous(Field!Value), no
luck, any one have some good idea?
P.S. do not want to use query to fill the null with previous non null value, just from the performance point view. at last , the chart should have some line as square wave with different height, if I use average for empty point, it shows slop wave line which
is not reflect the real production.

In Reporting Services, if the chart type is a linear chart type (bar, column, scatter, line, area, range), null values are shown on the chart as empty spaces or gaps between data points in a series. By default, empty points are calculated by taking the average
of the previous and next data points that are not null.
If we want to use previous value to replace the empty value, please refer to the following steps:
Right-click the field which displayed in Y axis (Height) to open the Series Properties.
In the Value field to modify the expression to look like this:
=iif(isnothing(Sum(Fields!Height.Value)),previous(sum(Fields!Height.Value)),sum(Fields!Height.Value))

Minimum value without counting those with 0 values: help!

Hi Experts,
I need your help. I want to list only the minimum value for kf A but not counting 0 values. The minimum value is based on order #. For example, I want to see the minimum order amount(kf A) for this week, not counting 0. I can't use conditions because it would just remove that particular row from the result. For example, if I put a condition that kf A > 0. Then the result would yield nothing. This is aggregate data for 1 week period. I only need a summarize report stating that for week x, I have the lowest order of $$$(not zero), and listing all doc # on the report is not an option. I also tried, multiply (kf A ==0)*99999, through formula kf, and that didn't work either.
I haven't tried virtual key figure or adding another kf to cube - those are options that I afraid to tackle right now.

In the condion you put key figure value > 0.

How to transport an inner table to a subroutine with change return content?

now ,i want to perform a subroutine with a inner table,and i will delete some records from the inner table in the subroutine,but i don't want the change in the subroutine break into my main program.in other words,the content of the inner table which was transported to the subroutine keep no change in the main program after perform the subroutine.is there any way to realize it without announce a new inner table?

I am pretty sure this will have performance impact on the database as the database manager has to keep changing the SHEAPTHRES_SHR value every 30 seconds back to the correct value. Has any one seen this before? Turning off STMM is not an option. We do not want to hard code SHEAPTHRES_SHR value as the loads on BI are not-predictable in the environment.

The bug with the STMM memory calculation was first fixed with version 9.5 FP4 so you might have to upgrade your instances to FP4. In fact, if I am not mistaken, SAP withdrew FP3 due to a hiper apar which can potentially impact SAP systems.
Also as far as the values in the output of the query and db2pd are concerned, they are not different. The output of the query is expressed in bytes whereas the output of pd is expressed in KB.

Feather Minimum Value

Hello, I've updated to the latest patch and I've also had a good long look through the thread history, as well as an extensive search through google looking for an answer to my problem.
Basically, on the option bar for feathering when using any of the selection tools, the minimum value seems to be 1 pixel. From past versions of photoshop I'm used to selecting anything from 0.1 pixels onwards.
The issue is more of an annoyance as I can still feather the selection going through select > modify > feather and achieve the values I'm after through there, but this process takes considerably longer than what I'm used to, especially for time consuming work like rendering where I change the values quickly on the fly.
Hopefully I'm missing something painstakingly obvious but if anybody could help me out I'd greatly appreciate your efforts, thanks.

I agree, it's a tough one to understand the magic behind a sub-pixel feather, but it does make difference. See the attached, I rez'd up the image with NearestNeighbor to get a better view of the end results when using the menu option.

That being said, the error you reference is somewhat abstracted from the values you adjusted. the error you posted is the system comparison operator complaining that it only has one thing to compare, typically you need two things to do a comparison.
Here is a person running into a similar problem with the lync MP, where it was trying to compare the site assignment of two systems, but the environment only has one system.

Get the minimum value from a cursor

i have a cursor that returns the following two columns in a stored procedure. now i want to find the minimum value of SORT NUMBER column .
Can anybody give me an idea.....

I'm guessing your stored procedure loops through the cursor (goes record by record and does something), correct? If it loops through all records, then
1. first define variable which will hold minimum value e.g.
my_min_value number := 0;
2. then add this inside the loop (as you loop through all records, my_min_value will get assign the lowest value)
my_min_value := LEAST(my_min_value, c1_rec.sort_number);
when the cursor is done looping through all records, you get your minimum value
small note: make sure c1_rec.sort_number is not null or you know how null works with least function
OPTION2
if you don't loop through all records (maybe have a condition and stop looping), then you can always change the SQL and add the minimum value to the SQL, there are multiple ways to do this, this is one of them - I hope there is no typo - it's 8pm :-)
select group_number
       , sort_number,
          min(sort_number) OVER ( )
from group_table
OPTION3
get rid of cursor, there are probably 5000 better choices :-)

BRF+ Trigger via Event, change on field value, etc

Hi,
I'm implenting BRF+ for SPM Claims & Returns Process.
It took me a while to understand how I can set up an application, Function from type event, Rulesets, rules, etc but at the end it seems that it is a tremendous improvement compared to BRF!
So far I have triggered the BRF+ via the CRMV_EVENT_CUST table calling a function module that triggers the BRF+ Function and receives an CRM Log message but this solution is not sufficient for all locations I want to call the BRF+.
At first I want to call the BRF+ for the Entryvalidation: Entering a Claim with a item net value below a threashold should not be saveable.
The second call should be to decide if the Claim will be automatically approved or set to manual investigation: This is a check that will lead to a item status change.
The third and last check will be fullfilled by saving the Claim document: a whole set of business rules have to run and set maybe an incompleteness or process some error messages.
I neither any information in SAP Documentation, nor on any ressource on the net any information about customing the BRF+ Solution.
Is there any customizing in the system, as it is for BRF, that allows me to trigger the BRF+ for Business Transaction Category, Business Transaction or ItemCategories?
Furthermore, is there an option to call BRF+ via customizing that "listens" to a field change as Reason Code ( CODEGRUPPE, KATALOGART,CODE in the Subjectprofile?)
Can I define Events that trigger the BRF+ as in the BRF customizing?
When I search the IMG for BRFPLUS, I find a couple of entries, but doubleclicking on this search results doesn't jump to the customizing step.
It would be very helpfull to get some input in these topics.

And I agree to your statement that there is no such customizing, because I neither found this Customizing, except:
Using the search in the customizing IMG, you will find 3 customizing entries with BRF+ or BRFPLUS, but clicking on them you will land in Nirvana, and not in the proper customizing tree.
But still the overall trigger for my message here is, that the BRF could be triggered via Customizing that doesn't seem to exist for BRF+ and that's strange!
I hope someone knows how the replacement of BRF with BRF+ is intended from this customizing point of view. I have to trigger a lot of different functions and using the old BRF I could trigger this Events using this customizing setup.
