Logging SQL statements
Hi,
I'd like to log SQL statements using the JDBC driver logging facility.
I'm using the driver named ojdbc14_g.jar and the following properties are set:
-Doracle.jdbc.Trace=true -Doracle.jdbc.LogFile=g:\temp\jdbc.log
The JDBC driver activity is logged, but the information which is displayed is unuseful, because the SQL statements are not displayed.
Is it possible to see the SQL statements?
tassoc,
I don't know how you can see the SQL statements using only the Oracle JDBC driver, but perhaps P6 Spy may be helpful for you.
Good Luck,
Avi.

Thank you for advance
CharaHi,
Here is a small resumen About Basic Auditing in Oracle.
For any Oracle versions prior to 9i you will need to set audit_trail parameter in the pfile ie.g.:
audit_trail = DBFor later Oracle Versions:
SQL>alter system set audit_trail = DB;To enable auditing for a specific object run the following command:
SQL>AUDIT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE ON SCHEMA.TABLE;To stop auditing use:
SQL>NOAUDIT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE ON SCHEMA.TABLE;Or to audit any statement that queries, delete, insert or updates any table, issue the following statement:
SQL>AUDIT SELECT TABLE, DELETE TABLE, INSERT TABLE, UPDATE TABLE;If you want to audit a specific user will need to run the following commands:
SQL>AUDIT ALTER TABLE, SELECT TABLE, INSERT TABLE, … ,GRANT PROCEDURE by <USERNAME>;To stop the audit for the user you will need to run:
SQL>NOAUDIT ALTER TABLE, SELECT TABLE, INSERT TABLE, … ,GRANT PROCEDURE by <USERNAME>;To see the results of the auditing use please run:
SQL> select * from dba_audit_trail;This is an excellent Oracle documentation to learn how to implement it:

Site System Status Error Message on SiteStat.log : SQL statement with Incorrect Syntax
Hi Folks,
We are getting the below system status error in the primary servers site status log (SiteStat.log) every minute. It relates to the updating of a secondary site.
I have worked out where the SQL syntax is wrong (TimeReported=,) and that it more than likely relates to the day light saving settings last weekend on the secondary sites virtual's host which caused the secondary site server time to go way
into the future, this has now been fixed.
Is there anyway of removing/deleting this system status/SQL query? I have restarted Primary, Secondary and SQL server, to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

JTeQYes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
There is not supported way to fix this. As such I recommend that you contract CSS directly, they will work with you to solve this problem.

SQl statement cause extreme Portal log growth
Our Portal server log file is growing very fast (30 - 50 Mb per minute). When examining the log file we see that the log file does contain only the error messages:
#1.5#00096BF521750058005A9CA900001E480003E80BD8A2C263#1099562506968#/System/Database/sql/jdbc/common#sap.com/irj#com.sap.sql.jdbc.common.StatementAnalyzerImpl#Guest#18####655e44612e4811d9b41300096bf52175#Thread[ThreadPool-Dispatcher,5,SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_Group]##0#0#Error#1#com.sap.sql.jdbc.common.StatementAnalyzerImpl#Java#com.sap.sql.jdbc.common_1123#com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLResourceBundle#The SQL statement "" contains the semantics error[s]: #2#SELECT MIN("ID"),"PRIORITY" FROM "KMC_TQ_QUEUE" WHERE "NAMESPACE_HASH" = ? AND "NAMESPACE" = ? AND "TASK_STATE" = 1 GROUP BY "PRIORITY" ORDER BY 2 DESC#type check error: the expression >>"NAMESPACE"<< (LONGVARCHAR) is not comparable and must not be used with "="
This message occurs more than 500 times per log file. It has something to do with Knowledge management, but we cannot find anything that triggers this sql statement.
Any ideas?
Noel Hendrikx & Pascal RijnartSAP tells us in reaction to our customer message:
"The table's definition is correct. What has to be changed is the
computed type for field NAMESPACE and the generated file for the table.
As I wrote before, if you make any change in the field NAMESPACE the
new computation is started (so change the description which has no
effect on the table's version on the database). Make the change and
save the table in the SapNetWeaver Developer Studio. You will then
see that the field's JDBC-type changes to VARCHAR.
Choose 'Create archive' for Dictionary Project the table belongs to
and deploy the sda on the database. Both can be done in the studio."
Can anyone tell us what to do now?

FDM-generated SQL statement in log file?
Hello all, hopefully a simple question:
When you perform an import using FDM, I know that behind the scenes a SQL SELECT statement is composed and executed against the database server. My question: is the actual SQL statement kept in a log somewhere (so that we can see it?) In our case it's an Oracle DB server and we're using the ERPI Adapter; not sure if that's relevant. We would like to grab that SQL statement and use it as a jumping-off point for some other things.
Thanks in advance for anything you can offer. The SQL Statement is not written to the log for the adapter. The only things that are logged are what show in the adapter log file if you enable loggin for the ERPi source adapter in the "Get Data" action.

Logging/viewing SQL statements generated by the SQL Developer IDE?
I know it is possible to view the SQL statements that the SQL Developer IDE generates to fetch result-sets from the database whenever one performs any action - say expanding the "Tables" node for a database, for example. I would appreciate if someone could point out how this functionality could be enabled.
Thanks,
RGIn 1.0, you could use the AddVMOption -Daudit.trace=db_api option inside the sqldeveloper.conf file.
In 1.1 however, I don't get output inside the console anymore (for expanding trees, etc.).
Kris, has this option been replaced by another one? Please let us in on all the fun ;-)

Hello All,
I am supporting a Java 5 project on Tomcat. We've used Spring and Stored Procedure in the project.
Recently we deployed our application in a GoLive environment and have started seeing Timeout errors in log files. After around two days we also have to restart Tomcat as users are no more able to login to access the application.
Same application runs fine without any timeout issues on another environment.
The only difference between two environments is that the Go-Live env has a firewall between Tomcat and Database and the other environment hosts both Tomcat and Database on same machine (i.e. no firewall).
For GoLive env the only port open on firewall for JDBC connection is 1521 and is used in the connection string url for obtaining the connections.
When there is a Timeout error, the N/w admin guy observed that the JDBC connection was not attempted on 1521 port, but on some random port which is not open on firewall, due to which the Database server logs also do not show entry for this connection attempt as it gets blocked by the firewall.
I am not sure why a randam port should be used to connect when a specific port is mentioned in the connection url? Also what can be making this port switching?
Application uses Apache DBCP with Spring to obtain connections.
Has anyone experienced similar errors?
Any suggestions/help on this issue is greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks,
CD

Extracting SQL statement from a Webi document's data provider using SDK.
Hi all,
Is it possible to extract the SQL statement from an existing Webi document's data provider using BO SDK? I've searched through the class library but haven't found any information on this yet. If you have done it, could you provide some guidance. Many thanks.I found the following Java code that might be of some help to you. I realize you are using .NET but this might push you down the right path.
The trick here is to use the Report Engine SDK to get the DataProvider of the DocumentInstance. Then, look at the SQLDataProvider to get your SQLContainer.
My apologies for the poor formatting. This didn't copy and paste over to the forums very well. I've cleaned up as much as I could.

Could you please explain in detail - what you have done and what you want to achieve? You can also post the code of your persistence.xml for reference...

Run a PL/SQL statement in an Oracle Alert action?
Hello
did anyone know is it possible to run a PL/SQL statement in an Oracle Alert action?
I can run an SQL like “UPDATE Table SET alert_run = 'ok' where id = 10;” but if I run instead of this the following
“Select XXKN_TEST.UPDATE_XXX_TEST('&USER_NAME') From dual;”
I get the following error log:
