Logging Time issue with Job running under SYS.MAINTENANCE_WINDOW_GROUP

Hi,
We have configured a nightly job to run daily at 2:00 AM
And configured the Job to run under Sys,maintenance_window_group.
The nightly job is producing some log(trace) files in the format
<date-time> message
the <date-time> entry is made as
UTL_FILE.PUT_LINE (log_file, TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') || ' ' || msg, TRUE);
the problem is the entry for date-time field in the log file is not correct.
06/02/2013 20:00:02 NIGHTLY_JOB Begin
It is using EST time ( e.g.- 20:00:00 PM ) but the job is running at timezone Europe/VIENNA
the file modifcation time is OK, when we check it with ls command ( it gives time near to 2:00 AM)

  • Jobs running under sys user name

    Oracle 10.2.0.3 Enterprise
    Win2k3
Just upgraded to 10.2.0.3 ee from 10.1.0.4 standard.
The jobs were entered via em and given the proper owner.
em was logged in as sys. All jobs are running as user name sys.
Can the user name be changed to the owner or do I have to drop and rebuild the jobs?
    Thanks for any help
    Bob

    Hi,
For jobs there are two users, the job_owner and the job_creator.
The job_owner is the schema the job is created in. The job runs as the job owner and with the privileges of the job owner.
The job_creator is the user that creates the job (even if he creates it in another schema). When a job runs it sets its logged-in-user to be the job creator, so any actions will be audited as having been done by the job creator.
Neither the job_owner nor the job_creator can be modified after the job has been created.
But you may be able to use the copy_job command or the create_like EM button to save you some trouble.
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • HT1199 Hi. I've got an issue with Pages running on Mavericks on Macbook air. Every time I open the app it hangs right there and I can't do anything on it. I've uninstall and install it back again but the issue still persists. Any help please?

HI. I've got an issue with Pages running on Mavericks. Everytime I open it up it just hangs right there and I can't do anything with it. I've deleted the app and installed it back again but the problem sitll persists. Any help please?

Thank you so much for helping,
But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)
Anyway thank you very much for your time and effort!!!!

  • Issues with payment run

    Hi All,
I am facing with a issue with payment run FPY1. Some of the customers are refunded the amount which is not supposed to be refunded to them. When i check the Contract account level and document level, at both level there is no outgoing payment method set. Is there any other way by which payment run would pick up the amount and refund it back to custmer.
    Kindly share your thoughts.
    Regards,
    Rahul

Do you have a third level of master data?  In certain FI-CA systems there is a lower level of master data (i.e. contract, insurance object).  A payment method can also be set at this level.

  • What time will a job run using only REPEAT_INTERVAL of FREQ=DAILY

What time will a job run using only a Schedule REPEAT_INTERVAL of FREQ=DAILY?

    Hi,
    There are two cases
    - if you set a start time it will run at the hour and minute of the specified start date
    - if start_date is left as NULL then it will run as soon as it is enabled (or at create time if enabled is true) and thereafter at the hour and minute when it was enabled.
Basically it makes the best attempt to run at the same time every day which is either the start_date or the enable time.
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Mute issues with mpv/cmus under alsa + pulse

    Hi everyone!
I am having some weird issues with certain programs (noticed this in mpv and cmus) where they would mute themselves.
For example, cmus is often muted when it starts up and sometimes re-mutes itself when it changes songs (I couldn't find  any kind of pattern here).
Similarly, when I have a video on loop in mpv, it is muted from the second time onwards (mpv was muting itself on startup too, but I specified mute=no in the config file).
This also happens when I have a video with chapters in different files  - so, for example, there'd be an opening song to a series which is located in it's own file, which plays fine, but when it switches to the series file I have to unmute again.
I have teamspeak3 running alongside all the time, if that matters at all.
I am not sure what logs to post, if any.
Googling didn't really reveal an answer; I disabled the auto-mute setting in alsamixer, but that didn't help.
I'd be grateful for any help!

I unfortunately don't have the answer for your question, but thank you so much for the mute=no suggestion, I was at my wit's end until I tried that! I'm having the same mute issue as you (also using pulse). But mpc plays properly just fine.

  • User log in issue with Xcelsius SWF file

    HI,
I am using the BI as source to  BO. Xcelsius dashboard is using webi data by live office.
I have exported the xcelsius in  swf file &  ppt format.
i am using the credentials user name, password  and authentication as SAP.
I have the roles which are created in BI and imported to BO and the roles have users in BI , which came by default to BO.
Now I have created the new users in BI with initial password. I cant login to infoview or swf until i change the initial password in BI and thn with new password i can log in to BO. I understood this concept.
But confusing part is after changing to new password in BI, i can be able to log in to swf or PPT but not fetching latest data from data base.
if i log on first into infoview , thn i can be able to log onto swf file or PPT correctly and access the latest data.
If i directly access the ppt file , i get 'failed to get the document information. lo 26315". But if i login to infoview first then to swf or ppt i wont get any problem.
The problem is,  users are access the dashboard file from ppt and pdf. So , is there any work around that, the new user can directly access the data from swf or ppt, without entering the infoview???

    Hi sapbi83 ,
May i Know which connection you are using for fetching data into xcelsius, is it LO(Live Office) or Qaaws
if it is Live Office  then what is the refresh property  set for live office object? and how many live office objects or how many qaaws connection u are using.?
provide the answe of all the above question, i'll be able to help you and Infoview has nothing to do it with the real time data connectivity. the dashboard is completely dependent on the connections used to get data into the xcelsius, if the error is coming in PPT or PDF standalone then there is some issue with the connection used in xcelsius, just let me know the answer of all the above questions.

  • CFWDDX Time Issue with CF7

    We're upgrading a bunch of apps from CF5 to CF7. We've run
into an issue with cfwddx that results in times coming across with
one hour subtracted - this didn't happen with CF5. Basically I'm
packetizing query results with an action CFML2JS. If I just dump
that packet via something like alert(mypacket.value) I can see that
the date is intact. However, if I break it down via WDDX2CFML then
run a cfquery against it, the datetime fields are all coming back
one hour short, i.e. 10 PM instead of 11 PM. I'm suspecting I need
to manipulate the usetimezoneinfo property of the serializer
object, but I'm not sure how to do that - at any rate, is this a
known problem with CF7? Any suggestions at all on how to get around
    this would be greatly appreciated!
    Regards,
    Al
P.S. I'll be happy to post code if that's required.

  • Reponse time issue with a simple qurey .

    hi all,
i started facing a strange issue with the below query form the biging of the month. we have a DW system for a banking domain and in that our accounts table from the first of this month is taking a huge amount of time to retive the data. if i query a back dated data say 31st of may that would be '310509' it give the result in less that 5 seconds. this is a very simple query which i am joing with a transaction table.
i assume the reason for the change in query reponce time is may be tha data from the beging of this month had a datablock extantion and this block is corrupted . kindly let me know what i am thinking is correct or there is another reaosn for this.
Also let me know what resolution should i take to resolve this issue.
my database version is Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Prod
    Thanks in advance

I don't think that it is a simple query.
The two objects "gtxn_dtl_v1" and "gacc_dtl_v1" seem to be Views. So, the queries are probably involving joins of other tables.
Without an Execution Plan and information about table and index definitions and statistics on the tables and indexes, any attempt to answer your question would be meaningless. Both are tables. Explain plan is shown below:

    So many strange things here:
1.Query showing cost 38 is taking a long time  (hours). Other quey takes 5 sec

  • Issue with user running Outlook on Windows XP

We are having an issue with many of our users who have had their sent items disappear from Outlook. We are running Exchange 2010 SP2 with Rollup 8. All users on Windows 7 appear to be working fine, it is just users on XP that are having the issue. All
PCs are SP3 with updates applied. The messages were there previously, but the Sent folder shows empty as of Monday. They show correctly in OWA, it is just in Outlook itself that is the problem. If we enable cached mode the items populate, but our standard
policy is to run online with no local PST. We have tried running Outlook with /clearviews and in Safe Mode, but this does not resolve the issue.

    Hi
Cached mode will use an OST file not a PST file.
If you remove the contents from the folder and add a new profile does it work? Are you planning on upgrade to SP3 on exchange 2010?

Waht coud be wrong in the schedule part. please help me in this. When you use SYSDATE in the interval parameter, it is the time when the job finishes , not the time when the job begins (which may not be the time you wanted the job to begin, if the database is down).
If, regardless of when a job finishes, you want it to run again at 11:30 PM the next day, then use
    interval  => 'TRUNC (SYSDATE) + 1 + (23.5 / 24)'Unless you're using a very old version of Oracle, you should use dbms_scheduler instead of dbms_job. See

  • Execution time issues with SU01 demo script

Having worked with Scripting in a Box for a while now I wanted to try out the examples there. I read FM: SO_USER_LIST_READ or another one explaining why my attempt to narrow the returned users failed (Craig, did you find out why the functionality was removed?) and Re: Issue with "Scripting in a Box" seeing that  Harry had the same problems with only ~200 users in his system. However, Craig's original post states he successfully managed with over 400 users. I'm a bit confused...
I included some simple timing stuff and found out that processing of one user in the loop takes about 1.7 seconds - little surprise then that every script times out. This seems to be due to the additional calls to GetStatus() and GetValid() - by commenting them out I get the whole list rather quickly.
Unfortunately commenting them out also means no nice icons for 'Status' and 'Valid', which is not desired. I probably could create a Z FM to deliver me the userlist with these two fields already added (which would save on rfc-calls, assuming the operation is much quicker on the server directly), but I hoped to get a solution based purely on PHP, not own ABAP coding (being aware that Craig also used a Z FM anyway, but still...)
I'm a bit unsure now how easy it is to actually create useful frontends in PHP, with such long execution times. I assume this will happen in other occasions as well, not only for user lists. Is there an alternative? Or a general way to do those things quicker?
    :Frederic:

Craig: you say it's easy to go from 1.7 seconds per user lookup down to a small fraction of it? Then apparently I'm lacking these skills. Could you please give me a hint what should be done there?
I though about creating a Z function, but having to write custom wrappers - possibly for about any transaction in this style - I wanted to avoid.
Bala: the two functions only take one user as input, not a list. So w/o modifying the ABAP side I can't feed the whole list in there. I wonder how much it would improve the result time anyway, so perhaps I'm trying it. It's just not a solution I'd prefer.
Paging is a good idea, the actual call to get the whole userlist is quite quick. Having like 20 users displayed at a time is manageable - still slow, but the script won't timeout anymore. I think I'll implement this today.
About AJAX: yes, I want to play around a bit with AJAX, however having the two columns valid and status removed and the information only displayed on mouseover etc is a bit like cheating. And 1.7+ seconds waiting for a hoover info is too long. So I'd like to optimize on the rfc-calling side primarily.
Craig: surely it was just a demo, and I'm just trying to get it to work for understanding it

    Hi,
    -> Log into 000 Client.
-> Using SM37 search the required Job (which is in released status) and open it for change.
-> Open the Step section of that Job in change mode. Here you can change the User Name (with which the Job will be invoked).
-> Schedule it on your time and save the changes finally. It will be scheduled in 000 Client with the new user which u specified in the Step of that Job.
