Logging Unhandled Exceptions

Is there a way to log all exceptions, including unhandled exceptions? What I want to do is have the exception log run on all or our client workstations. When an unhandled exception occurs (Murphy's Law), I want to be able to go view the client applications exception log and see what new an interesting bugs our user's have found.

You can catch "unhandled" exceptions as well and do what you want with them.
Things such as NullPointerException fall under RuntimeException. If you catch that, you can log it as you see fit.
Is that what you're asking?

  • Where are logged unhandled exceptions in wls?

    Hello,
I have deployed an application in weblogic standalone server, but I don't where I can found logs. Where are logged application's unhandled exceptions?
I have tested ADFLogger in some java class of the application. But here too, I don't know where I can read these logs, when deployed on standalone weblogic server.

You can find log file location from WLS Admin Console, for example: http://biemond.blogspot.com/2011/07/change-log-files-location-of-weblogic.html
Also, if you selected Oracle Enterprise Manager option when WLS domain was extended with ADF libs, then you can browse log files from your browser.

hmmm. i couldn't turn up anything specific at event ID:

(i'm not a subscriber, so i can't follow up their "M" links ... not that there was anything specific to the IDriver.exe anyway.)
    hmmmm. if you
    b do
start running into problems, and you've got the time, it may be worth getting an install log to the moderators:

still at the early stage of troubleshooting these, i'm afraid, so i can't give you much more feedback than this. maybe keep checking in every day or so to check on any developments?

    Hi Stephan,
As I understand, you are encountering the issue that Workflow Manager Backend service terminating each time. May I know did you run the update cmdlets after you installed the updates for SharePoint server 2013? Please confirm it per the link below:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn133867.aspx
If you haven’t run the updates cmdlets, I suspect this is an install issue. I’d suggest you re-install workflow manager to resolve the issue:
    1) Leave WFM/SB Farm
    2) Uninstall updates and application in the following order and one at a time:
    Service Bus CU1
    Workflow Manager CU1
    Service Bus 1.0
    Workflow Manager 1.0
    Workflow Manager Client 1.0
    Microsoft Windows Fabric
    3) Log into SQL server and delete Service Bus and Workflow Manager databases.

  • Problem: Stopping cluster due to unhandled exception .. Unable to refresh

    Greetings
While testing a rolling upgrade of an application that uses Coherence 3.5.2 on 62-jvm cluster hosted on
11 physical machines, we encountered a situation where after the upgrade was completed, most jvms
in the system abruptly left the cluster. The physical hosts are running CentOS 5.4, the java used is
the 64-bit server version 1.6.0_16-b01. The test was run under a scenario that imposed "moderate"
load, with cpu usage on the physical machines never exceeding 60% busy, network bandwidth never
exceeding 5%, and with some free physical memory. Swapping did not occur during any time during
the test. I believe we are using the default tangosol-coherence.xml. We got the error below in
our coherence.log files on all of the systems, all at about the same time (within 10 milliseconds).
55 of the jvms left the cluster during the incident. There were 55 copies of the error message in
the various logs, all nearly identical except for the time and member id.
    My questions include
    - what does the error mean?
    - what could cause it? (I investigated system logs, and found no evidence of the NIC cards
going off line at the time. Any suggestions about how to look for evidence of broadcast storm?)
    - how can we keep it from happening again?
Many thanks for your help -

    Hi Mike,
It looks like you are having problems with multicast. You can run the multicast test described here
    [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15357_01/coh.360/e15723/tune_multigramtest.htm]
which will help in diagnosing the problem

  • Xilinx error 59 reported by Translation process, and unhandled exception in ngdbuild

    Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right forum to post in but I'll try.
I'm struggeling with compiling my FPGA code on a NI 9074 target with 8 modules. LabView FPGA tells me that it failed due to a xilinx error in the translation process. It looks like the ngdbuild.exe craches (I'm getting questions from CVI to start debugging an unhandled exception. This happens two times every I try to compile the FPGA code. But the exception seems to happen at different places every time. That is at least what I see from the debug window which appears, assuming the number in square bracets means line number in the source. This number seems to shift with every compilation. It shifts from 1864 to 5896.
The error which is returned to the LabView FPGA is:

    Done...
I'm not familiar with VHDL so I don't know the specifics of what really happens during the compilation. I dont have anything specail timing code in the VI except for loop timers.
I'm using LabView FPGA 2011, and xilinx 12.4. The code has compiled successfully on earlier LabView versions. There are no errors or warings in my LabView FPGA code that that LabView detects. Is this a bug in LabView FPGA 2011 or Xilinx 12.4?
I've attached the log files from the compilation process and the error summary that LabView FPGA gives me.
    Thanks in advance.

Regards, Marc We have the same problem here. We have installed the bugfix but it still does not work.

  • Import failed. Unhandled Exception in Import Manager

I'm just starting with MDM (5.5 SP1) and have created my first Import but keep getting an "Import failed. Unhandled Exception. RC: 0x82030100" when I Execute Import. I'm not sure where to look to determine the cause. Any suggstions?

    Hi Russell,
On your C drive, under Program Files>SAP MDME 5.5>Import Manager is the first place to start- Import manager log is an XML document created, and shows the steps import manager went through before it failed.  It could give some ideas about the cause.  Other than that, I have seen that not setting key mapping accurately can cause this exception.
    Good luck!

  • Tear down of include component context failed due to an unhandled exception

My Application was developed with JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 . one of the page has a panel collection with simple table that fetch the data from a view object.
filter and sorting are enabled for all columns.
this page runs correctly on the integrated WLS server and on the standalone WLS of the same Fusion Middleware package on my pc.
I've then deployed the ear file on two different WLS server with the same version. the panel collection with the table did not displayed, and found the error below in log files.

  • Windows Server Essentials Email Service Won't Start SharedServiceHost.exe Unhandled exception from operation

    Gday Everyone,
Two weeks ago we installed a new Server 2012 R2 with the Essentials Experience role. It was fully patched at time of deployment. We enabled O365 integration and password sync was working fine last week. This morning I went to the Dash Board to add a new
user and after clicking the O365 tab all fields show "Not available".
    The system event log shows
"The Windows Server Essentials Email Service service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 3 time(s)."
The application event log shows the following.

The only thing we did a few days ago was enable the Azure Backup integration. I am not sure if this broke the O365 integration as I didn't go back to the O365 tab in the dashboard after installing the Azure backup.
I have spent a considerable amount of time on google, however, majority of the posts talk about Update 1 which disables the password sync service. I have checked and all services are started with exception of Windows Server Essentials Email Service (WseEmailSvc).
The Azure Backup module is working fine and the registry location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Server\Productivity seems to hold the correct configuration information throughout the various keys.
I am at a loss as to how to proceed with this issue? I have checked but there are no pending updates and I have attempted a server reboot numerous times.
Would appreciate external input if you have seen this issue before or know where we can look to further establish what is going on.
    Cheers,
    Chiper

I have a similar if not identical situation - I'm currently migrating from WS2012 Essentials to WS2012 R2 Standard w/Essentials role installed. The 'wseemailsvc' service continues to fail over and over, and I am unable to manage O365 accounts from within
the Essentials dashboard on the R2 server.

Thank you for reporting this Andrew. I have logged COH-4330 for this issue. The bug here occurs because putAll() request is not being handled properly in a small window of time between when the client sent it to the partition owner, and when the partition owner begins executing, if the partition has started transferring in the meantime.
    thanks,
    -Rob

I don't have any idea what is the reason

    Hi,
don't know about you stack trace, but the one above shows that the ADF binding context is not set up, which may be a wrong use of ADF (e.g. using jsp:include on a page to inject page fragments that use ADF bindings)
