I know...
Many people have posted these questions over and over again, but i'm a relatively new iWeb user.
Most of all it's because i can't get the **** page to work.
Is it possible to make such a page?

Not really no.
If you want to do something like this, then you would need to get hosting with either GoDaddy or HostExcellence that offer secure page options and take it from there.
iWeb is not set up for something like this and you won't be able to do this if you are publishing to MobileMe either.

Follow the steps:
1. Select Custom authentication (+built 'from scratch' option+) [Shared Components>Authentication Schemes>Create]
2. Let everything as it is, but change only one place (Credentials Verification Method:) Select "Use my custom function to authenticate." And type as "return auth_on_custom;"
3. The function auth_on_custom can take two input parameters (username, password) and returns boolean.
4. Finallise with 'Create Scheme' and you are done.
Make sure you have the function ready in database.

Does this also happen on other browsers? If it's only Firefox, try clearing your cache: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+clear+the+cache
If that doesn't work, try deleting your Facebook cookies (no data will be lost): https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Deleting+cookies
If that doesn't help, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

After a minute or so of not moving the mouse, the screen will go to a blank desktop and then to the login page, how do I stop that from happening?

this happens whether I am online or offline. I could be playing a game and if I stop for a minute or so, it will do the above.

The easiest way is to use the Status-4-Evar add-on. With it you can choose to not display any of the status messages, or display them in the add-ons bar or location bar instead.

Just implement a Filter which listens on /*. No need to do this simple redirection task in JSF.

Now that the anonymous access solution has been provided, you may like to refer to these links for changing the logon screen and the themes.
Talking about the login page, it depends on what kind of customization do you want to do.
1) Do you want to change it entirely ?
2) Or you want to keep the same layout but change the images ?
Incase you wan to change it entirely, then refer to this weblog : Modifying The Logon Par(or customising the Logon Screen)
And incase you want to change just the images, then go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> UM Configuration -> Direct Editing and change the following paramaters:
ume.logon.branding_image
ume.logon.branding_text

Problem closing Skillbuilders modal page when using Login page 101

Trying to setup website with the Login page opening in a modal window instead of normal Apex window.

I can't say. I have not successfully tried this in any version of Apex (until just now).
Ignore my suggestions regarding page 0 from earlier.
If the user is on a page in your application and they have an invalid session, when they get that valid session in the login page how are you going to pass along that information to the parent/calling page? This just doesn't seem to be only about the authentication scheme.
A simple test I set up right now has me at page 1. I click a button and I get the login page modal. I login and the modal window displays a logged in version of page 1. But if I manually close that modal window and then refresh page 1 in the main parent window, I am still not logged in. A little further digging and I see it is in part due to the URL and the session id within.
If my URL is http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/apex/f?p=18025:1 then this refresh will not work.
If my URL is http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/apex/f?p=18025:1:123456 and 123456 is not a valid session then this refresh will not work.
You'd need to follow Jorge's suggestion to use some javascript like top.location.href="&FSP_AFTER_LOGIN_URL." to set the parent window to use the correct url containing the session id.
You would have to control when that code is placed on a page. I have a working example now at the above URL that uses a dynamic action on page 0.

So if I am loading page 101 do nothing. If I am loading another page, check if the parent and iframe are different source locations (indicating this is an iframe because even a non-iframe window will have a value for parent.location) and if so then set the parent page location to that of the iframe. In effect the redirect that happens in the modal is transferred to the parent.
This will break any other modal page instances you use though. But you could add them to the condition of the dynamic action on page 0 so you have something like "page not in 101, 1020, etc."
It seems to work but it feels like a hack to me. Perhaps a specific template for the modal window with some version of this javascript would at least keep you from running this script on every page load.

How to change the behaviour of the Cancel-Button of SSO-Login-Page (Forms)?

Hi Folks,
we use SSO-Login to authenticate users using Forms. How do I change the URL which is opened when a user clicks on the cancel button on the SSO Login page?
In the formsweg.cfg file there is a parameter named ssoCancelUrl, but if I define it, it doesn't work anyway. Seems like it has something to do with ssoDynamicResourceCreate, but I don't exactly understand what.
Can't I simply change the URL which is opened (globally), when a user hits the cancel button on any SSO-Loginpage.

I would start your troubleshooting with the article below for issues of not being able to log in to your Mac. Start with booting up in to Safe Boot as well as resetting PRAM on your Mac. If that does not work, then verify the hard drive with booting to the Recover HD and go to Disk Utility to verify it.
