Logo in template header

Hi all, i think i'm going crazy !!! Sometime ago i've tried to have a logo in the header getting image name and location from XML tag, no problem i've got it working using url.... in the image properties.
Now i need to have the same feature on another template, i think i've done the same operations but.. it doesn't works !!
i know it's very simple but ...
could anyone help me about this ?
Thanks

Sorry Tim , i've prepared a zip containing examples (rtf template and xml data file) for both cases, the first (fat002) is the one who works, the other (st_ana_cli) works only if i write the entire path in the url string. How can i send you this file?
Thanks

  • Image (Co. Logo) in Template header appears but not in Topic when viewing a topic which is attached to the Template

I have an image (Co. logo) placed in the header of a
template. Topics are attached to the template. I also have a
separate page that has hyperlinks to the the Topics in the several
books I have in the project.
When I generate (WebHelp) project and view the output, here
    is what I see:
If I open any topic by directly going to a book and then
clicking on the topic, then I see the Co. Logo/image it is supposed
to be pulling from the Template. However, if I view the same Topic
by accessing it from a navigation page in which all the Topics are
hyperlinked then the top header does not show.
I am bit preplexed with these two separate displays of the
same topic. One showing the image in the header and the other not.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Only you will know for sure what you are dealing with, but I do not see the same complete url code in the header of the page you say has a problem.  I only see the page filename linked (not http:///www...,  just home.html).  It may be a case of those pages not using the same template.

  • Add a logo to the header definition of an Interactive Report

    Hi Folks.
Using Apex 3.1 and BI Publisher.
I am enabling an Interactive Report region to output to PDF & Excel.
Has anyone managed to add a logo to the Header/footer definition in the Print Attributes section?
Is it possible? The region definition does not understand simple HTML syntax.
If anyone would let me know if a) They've done it or b) It ain't possible that would be great.
    Many thanks.
    Dogfighter.

Just reading through this thread. So perhaps a few comments might be helpful:
    - Interactive report regions do currently not support Report Layouts, you're limited to the built-in generic layout and won't be able to include images
    - You can add a button to your interactive report region page which could initiate the download of a report query, when doing this, you would get the result set of your report query not the interactive report region, so even if the queries are the same, you might have different filters applied to your interactive report
    - You can in fact include static images in your RTF report layouts using the BI Publisher Desktop Word Plug-In and MS Word, so you can have logos etc in your PDF documents. But report layouts currently only work with report queries and classic report regions
    - You can also include dynamic images in your PDF, e.g. based on images stored in a BLOB column, there's currently a character escaping issue causing some trouble with this, which will be fixed in 3.1.1, more on that once 3.1.1 is out (soon)
    - the print server overwrite is designed to point to a different print server than the one configured for your APEX instance, not to point to a specific report. So if your instance has BI Publisher configured, but for a specific report you want to do some special rendering using your own code, you can write e.g. a JSP, Servlet, etc that's doing the rendering, and then point yout report to that URL
Hope this helps, we do plan to add support for report layout to interactive report regions in the next full release of Application Express

I need to paste a small company logo inside my header box so that it appears on every page of our company report and I can't figure out how!

In TestStand 2012, the ReportHeader string no longer contains a <body> tag, so you can directly append the extra HTML to the parameter without needing to do a search and replace.  The following expression worked in my case:
    Parameters.ReportHeader = "\R\N<IMG src=\"C:\\NI.JPG\" ALT=\"NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS\">" + Parameters.ReportHeader

  • Template header field

    Hello all,
I have been trying to get a field into the template header and after reading several other posts I found one that works.
    <?if@inlines:PARTY_NAME!=''?>For: <?PARTY_NAME?><?end if?>
However, when I run it I don't get any of my detail fields. I do get my summed fields, which is confusing as well.
If I take out the header field (above), I get my detail and summed fields.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Web Template Heading as variable per URL parameter?????

    Hi,
is it possible to give the Heading/Title of a BW web template by giving over the (wished text) as parameter value in the the URL.
As far as i could find out, with the standard web Objects available in the Web Application Designer it is not possible. (May be i am wrong but all i could see was the BW Objects with the value relating to the Query objects. Whereas a simple Template heading has noting to do with any QueryObject)
Is there any other way of doing this? Maybe Java Script?
    Thanx for anyone replying.

    Hi,
the best approach to do this (would also work with bookmarks, ....). Set a caption of a web item where the caption is not displayed and add in your url the command sequence &cmd_1=item%3dYourItem%26caption%3dYourtitle
Then use the SAPBWGetItemProp function to get the caption.

  • How do I remove whitespace from a template header

I am trying to work myself thru understanding html coding by using a dreamweaver template and creating a page for my company. I have used dreamweaver before CC, however I am trying to understand the new changes.
I ran into a problem I am hoping to get help with.
I tried swapping out a placeholder logo on the template with my own logo. I seem to have a bit of white space at the bottom of the logo when I see it in live view or a browser. How can I get rid of it. I tried combinations of 0 margins and changing padding, but it seems I'm just whistling in the dark. Here is the code:
The CSS associated with this page is here:
    @charset "UTF-8"; body {   font: 100%/1.4 Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;   background-color: #42413C;   margin: 0;   padding: 0;   color: #000; } /* ~~ Element/tag selectors ~~ */ ul, ol, dl { /* Due to variations between browsers, it's best practices to zero padding and margin on lists. For consistency, you can either specify the amounts you want here, or on the list items (LI, DT, DD) they contain. Remember that what you do here will cascade to the .nav list unless you write a more specific selector. */   padding: 0;   margin: 0; } h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p {   margin-top: 0; /* removing the top margin gets around an issue where margins can escape from their containing block. The remaining bottom margin will hold it away from any elements that follow. */   padding-right: 15px;   padding-left: 15px; /* adding the padding to the sides of the elements within the blocks, instead of the block elements themselves, gets rid of any box model math. A nested block with side padding can also be used as an alternate method. */ } a img { /* this selector removes the default blue border displayed in some browsers around an image when it is surrounded by a link */   border: none; } /* ~~ Styling for your site's links must remain in this order - including the group of selectors that create the hover effect. ~~ */ a:link {   color: #42413C;   text-decoration: underline; /* unless you style your links to look extremely unique, it's best to provide underlines for quick visual identification */ } a:visited {   color: #6E6C64;   text-decoration: underline; } a:hover, a:active, a:focus { /* this group of selectors will give a keyboard navigator the same hover experience as the person using a mouse. */   text-decoration: none; } /* ~~ This fixed width container surrounds all other blocks ~~ */ .container {   width: 960px;   background-color: #FFFFFF;   margin: 0 auto; /* the auto value on the sides, coupled with the width, centers the layout */ } /* ~~ The header is not given a width. It will extend the full width of your layout. ~~ */ header {   background-color: #A36BE8; } /* ~~ These are the columns for the layout. ~~ 1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the block elements. The elements within these blocks have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the block itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the block element and place a second block element within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design. 2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a block set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For blocks where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the block element's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin. 3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar blocks could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document. 4) If you prefer your nav on the left instead of the right, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all left instead of all right) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the blocks around in the HTML source. */ .sidebar1 {   float: right;   width: 180px;   background-color: #C5C2B8;   padding-bottom: 10px; } .content {   padding: 10px 0;   width: 780px;   float: right; } /* ~~ This grouped selector gives the lists in the .content area space ~~ */ .content ul, .content ol {   padding: 0 15px 15px 40px; /* this padding mirrors the right padding in the headings and paragraph rule above. Padding was placed on the bottom for space between other elements on the lists and on the left to create the indention. These may be adjusted as you wish. */ } /* ~~ The navigation list styles (can be removed if you choose to use a premade flyout menu like Spry) ~~ */ nav ul{   list-style: none; /* this removes the list marker */   border-top: 1px solid #666; /* this creates the top border for the links - all others are placed using a bottom border on the LI */   margin-bottom: 15px; /* this creates the space between the navigation on the content below */ } nav li {   border-bottom: 1px solid #666; /* this creates the button separation */ } nav a, nav a:visited { /* grouping these selectors makes sure that your links retain their button look even after being visited */   padding: 5px 5px 5px 15px;   display: block; /* this gives the link block properties causing it to fill the whole LI containing it. This causes the entire area to react to a mouse click. */   width: 160px;  /*this width makes the entire button clickable for IE6. If you don't need to support IE6, it can be removed. Calculate the proper width by subtracting the padding on this link from the width of your sidebar container. */   text-decoration: none;   background-color: #15EE00; } nav a:hover, nav a:active, nav a:focus { /* this changes the background and text color for both mouse and keyboard navigators */   background-color: #ADB96E;   color: #FFF; } /* ~~ The footer ~~ */ footer {   padding: 10px 0;   background-color: #CCC49F;   position: relative;/* this gives IE6 hasLayout to properly clear */   clear: both; /* this clear property forces the .container to understand where the columns end and contain them */ } /*HTML 5 support - Sets new HTML 5 tags to display:block so browsers know how to render the tags properly. */ header, section, footer, aside, article, figure {   display: block; }
    Thank you for your help!

    Try this -
    <img src="assets/jpgs/Prodigy Logo Large 2014.jpg" width="180" height="180" alt="" style="display:block;">
What you are seeing as whitespace is the space reserved for glyph descenders on any element that is rendered within a text box (i.e., an inline element). By making the image "display:block" you eliminate that space because a block element doesn't have descenders. If that works to your satisfaction then you can give the logo an id, and create a CSS selector containing that block style.

  • Inserting a logo into the header and footer

    Hey Team
I have a workbook with 5 worksheets. On sheet1 I have a button programed to open a new Word document; pull information from fields on 3 other sheets and creates a letter from that data. I have two company logos pasted into sheet5,
    Pic1 and Pic2.
I want to copy Pic1 and paste it into the header  and copy Pic2 and paste it into the footer of the newly created word document and have them both centered and on all pages.
As of now I can copy the Pics and paste them into the document body but have had no luck with the header or footer.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

First, when you create a Word doc you should always create it based on a predefined template.  The template has all your corporate styles set etc...VBA code should only be used to insert text.  I almost never use it manipulate anything that can't
be set in templates.  The templates should already have the logos inserted.
    Set rptDoc = Documents.Add("C:\templates\example.dotx")
    rptDoc.SaveAs fileName:="C:\....................docx", _
    FileFormat:=wdFormatDocumentDefault, AddToRecentFiles:=True
If you add a picture I recommend adding at it a predefined bookmark in the template.  I do this when adding signatures.  The bookmarks can be in the header.
Sub SetBkMarkPic(xDoc As Document, xBkName As String, xFile As String)
' Set bookmark in document. Add file to bookmark
    If xDoc.Bookmarks.Exists(xBkName) Then
    xDoc.Bookmarks(xBkName).Select
    xDoc.Bookmarks(xBkName).Range.Text = ""
    Selection.InlineShapes.AddPicture fileName:=xFile
    End If
    End Sub

  • XMLP562 - RTF templates - Header/Body/footer in separate files

    Hi,
I'm faxing to that problem: we have many single page RTF documents (+1200). We are looking for a way to change all headers and footers as fast as possible (in few operations if possible). The header can "dynamically" changed.
So, I try a way to put the header, body and footer document in separate RTF files.
    * The only solution I see is to convert the header/body/footer RTF files into XSL-fo files (with XMLP JAVA API) and merge the header, body and footer XSL files into a new one and then convert it to RTF document (with XMLP JAVA API).
What do you think? is it a good solution? how to deploy it on IAS server?
    * Is there a way to use <?template:xxx?> syntax to define some "external" templates ?
If you can answer yes, how?
    I'm hope I was clear.

  • Report Row Template - header

    Hi
I have made a custom "Report Row Template". I have write the "header" direct in the html code. Is that a problem if i want to translate the application? Is there a way how to use the headers from the apex?
    Best Regrads
    Jesper Vels

    Hello Jesper,
OK, I can see now what you are trying to do. Unfortunately, the only similar example I'm familiar with - http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:108 – Is also using hard coded text for the headings.
I can show you how to get to these headings, and how to use them on your template, but I'm afraid this is not a generic solution, as I couldn't find an active substitution string for the column headers.
As there isn't any variables to hold these column names, we need to define our own. You can do that using an application items or hidden page items. Let's say I defined three hidden items on my report page: P1_HD1, P1_HD2, P1_HD3. Each item will be defined with Source Type of SQL Query, and Source Use of "Only when …". The Source Value for the first item will be as follow:
    select  heading
    from  FLOWS_020200.APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_RPT_COLS
    where  APPLICATION_ID=:APP_ID and
           PAGE_ID=:APP_PAGE_ID and
DISPLAY_SEQUENCE = 1;The DISPLAY_SEQUENCE should change according to the sequence of the column.
If you choose to use an application items, you'll need to use a before header computation on your report page, with the same query, to populate the application items.
In order to use these items in the report template, we need to use the "&P1_HD1." notation. You can have something like this, for the first header in your report query:
    <tr><td>&P1_HD1.: </td><td>#1#</td>   . . .Hope this helps,
    Arie.

  • Links in template header to not work when page is in different folder

    Hello

Only you will know for sure what you are dealing with, but I do not see the same complete url code in the header of the page you say has a problem.  I only see the page filename linked (not http:///www...,  just home.html).  It may be a case of those pages not using the same template.

  • How to enable the logo using master head par?

I want to change the logo on the portal page in Master Head
I have downloaded the par file of masterhead and changed required things like added .jar file, image required to show
Then i created the new par file and uploaded the same.
(with another name given for the uploaded par file)
how can i make this par file enabled to show the new logo? in PCD?

You can also use other tools(non-eclipse) to change it.
Modifying Portal Initial logon pageThis procedure applies for EP 6.0 SP3 and higher.
The logon user interface (UI) of SAP Enterprise Portal is delivered in a liportal archive (PAR file) named com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par which
contains all the logon UI's code and resources. In a deployed portal, the PAR file is located at
    <J2EE_Engine_Instance>\j2ee\cluster\server<X>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\i
    rj\root\WEBINF\deployment\pcd.
During initial portal deployment, it is renamed to
    com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak.
To customize the logon UI, we recommend the following procedure:
Modify the PAR file containing the logon UIs
    1. Make a copy of com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak and rename it. In
this example, it is renamed to my.new.logon.par.
    2. Move my.new.logon.par to a location outside of the
    <SAPJ2EEngine-deployment-dir>.
    3. Extract the files from my.new.logon.par preserving the directory
    structure.
    4. Modify files in the extracted PAR file.
    5. Put the modified files back into my.new.logon.par.
    6. Copy my.new.logon.par back to
    <J2EE_Engine_Instance>\j2ee\cluster\server<X>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\i
    rj\root\WEBINF\deployment\pcd.

  • Template header images not visible after upload

    Thanks in advance.
Using Dreamweaver CS5 on a Macbook Pro 10.7.5.  GoDaddy web host.
DW novice however I am using a book to help me along but am stuck.
Because I am new to this, I am using a VERY simple template.
    Link to my site: http://www.lifeafterpharma.biz
I did search this site and others for answers
    PROBLEM:
My template looks great when I preview it in all of the browsers but after I upload it, pictures within the body of the site do not appear and NONE of the header images appear.
I have made certain that I uploaded all of the pictures.
It's supposed to look like this:
    Original Template:
After my modifications and this is the image I see when I use the DW browser preview --
This is the original template and what the site ACTUALLY looks like in any browser after upload.  When I upload my modified website, my newly added pics will appear but none of the template images appear.
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Site Defintion:
First things first. You must set up a Site Definition in DW or you're going to have more problems than you can handle. The entire program functions off of the idea of Site Defintions working from a centralized folder...
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/gs01-defining-a-new-site/
Once your site definition is created, and all of your files are within the folder it creates, you can use DW to re-link your images. Once everything is re-linked with correct paths, you can upload all of the files to your server. Your .html pages do not "contain" their images, each image also needs to be uploaded to the server itself.
    Templates:
In DW, "Templates" are a very specific thing. They have a .dwt file extension and are used to create Child Pages within a Defined Site and have Editable Regions set by you. Everything outside those Editable Regions is identical from page to page, leaving the Editable Region as your area to place content that changes from page to page. To me, it sounds like you are just using a pre-made layout vs an actual DW Template .dwt file. I just wanted to make sure that was the case, because some weird things can happen if you don't use a .dwt correctly.
