Logon problems (WebAS Java) after installation.

Hello experts,
I have used the SAPInst to install a netweaver dual stack(java + ABAP). During the installation I am asked for a master password and I provided a suitable one.
However after the installation, I was not able to log into the WebAS java with username - administrator and the masterpassword. The master password worked fine on the ABAP side.
Do i need to activate the user? Am I missing something??
Thanks,
Vineeth

Check in the UME Sheet profile.
<b>ume.r3.connectcion.master.client</b> to the default client of the ABAP Engine.
at the following location.
Open the Config Tool and choose cluster-data --> Instance_... --> server_...
--> services ---> com.sap.security.core.ume.service --> ume.r3.connectcion.master.client.
Check the client no of the field. See if you are able to login with J2EE_ADMIN in this client in the ABAP Engine.
Thanks,
Tanuj

  • Problem with Java after Software Update to 10.5.7

    Hi,
I am facing problem with Java after having run Software upgrades.
Here is the whole story. I recently moved to iMac 10.5.6 from PowerPc 10.4. On this new machine I was having problem running a 3rd party application, which requires JVM. As this application worked well on Tiger, I decided to upgrade JVM on my iMAC using Software Upgrade(was I insane!!). As I like my systems to be updated (as with linux on my personal machine) I clicked "install all". As a result I have the following upgrades run on my machine:

    Hi man,
In the wake of this java problem I resorted to keep working on my old machine, and today in my spare time I tried to fix this new machine.
So I execute $java on prompt, and then try to check the files it has opened, using lsof -p pid
    I see it referring to
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home/bin/java
    isn't this usually the JAVA_HOME
    However, executing $/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home/bin/java
    hangs!!
    but
    $/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/bin/java
    works!!
    $ pwd
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home/bin
    $ ./java -version
    java version "1.6.0_07"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_07-b06-153)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0_07-b06-57, mixed mode)
So, I changed the links as follows

Linking my Current and CurrentJDK to 1.6 and it works!
However, shall that be the reason!
    what is in your /Versions/Current/
    I got the following
    $ ls /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/Current
    CodeResources Frameworks JavaVM
    Commands Headers Resources
There is no /Home in here, which is usually the case for /1.5 or /1.6
Anyways, things seems to work for the moment. Lets see if I get problem with using Java.
    thanks

  • Problems running java after most recent update

After updating to the latest version of Java via Software Update a few weeks ago, I am unable to run the Java applet I need to run to log onto my scheduling system for my work. We use ClinixMIS software which is web based and appears to load a Java applet when I log in. Before the most recent update I had no problem logging in and I still have no problems logging in on older machines running snow leopord and earlier versions of MacOSX with previous versions of Java. When I called Apple and told them my problem the tech said it was because the version of Java is more advaced than the one Clinix is using. I asked how to go back to an earlier version and I was told I can't do it. When I tried to download and install an earlier version of Java the computer wouldn't let me do it. I am running the latest version of Lion on a 2010 MacBook Pro with a i5 processor. I tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox and nothing worked. Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone run into a similar problem? Clinix has not supported Macs in the past but when I talked to the guy they sent out to help with some other issues we are having he told me they had a "team working on it". That has been their response now for about four weeks.

Get your IT people to talk to the ClinixMIS software developer and bring it to 2012 standards.

  • Font Problem in Mail after installation of Office 2008 for Mac

Since I installed my 2008 Office for Mac I have had occasional problems with the font display in IMail. Sometimes the fonts are just gibberish but will become readable again if/when I change the font sizing. Any suggestions? When I installed Office 2008 I had previously deleted the Trial Version of Office for Mac 2004 and the installer for Office 2008 did not find any prior Office installation.
    Thanks

Download Font Nuke. Close all other applications you may have running.
Run Font Nuke and click on the "Nuke Font Caches" button at the upper left. The panel will fill with other choices. At the lower right, first click "Update Caches List". It will search your hard drive for font cache files and list them. The purpose being simply so you can see what is about to be removed. Click the "Nuke Font Caches" button at the bottom right. Your Mac will restart. Don't attempt to stop the restart. You should always restart immediately after removing any cache files.

  • Problems with java after the last update

Hi, yesterday I downloaded and install the last update available for Snow Leopard. After having installed the update, I had problems with Matlab (I use the version R2010a), and the error code is reported below. Do you think the error and the update are correlated? Do you have any idea of how to fix the problem?
    Many thanks, and cheers!

  • Cannot find file drm-web.config after installation

    Hi all,
I am trying to install drm version 11.1.2 on MS Server 2008 64bit. I tried installing the 64bit version of DRM. The installation succeeds but when the configurator is launched I get an error that it closed. I opened the web client and receive an asp.net error that the drm-web.config cannot be found. I went to the directory and it is not there. I read on another site that this happened. The guy reinstalled it and changed some settings in IIS. I tried a reinstall but it made no difference. I reviewed IIS but couldn't see anything to change, although the drm_pool was present. I uninstalled the 64bit version and installed the 32bit version. However, the same error occured. I looked at the support matrix and there is nothing to suggest drm isn't supported on MS Server 2008.
I would be grateful if someone could let me know of a fix.
    Thanks,
    Nathan

  • Not able to find JAVA after installation

    Dear sir,
I would like to install ECC.6 on Red Hat Enterprises Linux 5.0 server for test purpose. I have already completed RHEL installation and perform all the recommendation written in SAP NOTES 171356, 1048303 etc.
I have installed JAVA as per the instructions given in the following links.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/install-linux.html
    http://www.java.com/en/download/help/linux_install.xml
    http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/LinuxTutorialJava.html#INSTALL_SDK
I am able to install JAVA on my Linux server but when I try to check whether the installation is successful or not I tried following commands, with the unexpected result.
    #which java
    /usr/bin/java
    Java -fullversion*
gives details of by default installed java.
Can anybody help me or guide me to install java correctly on my Linux server?
Any other details if you like I will provide.
    Regards
    Ahsan

  • Problems with Mail after installation of Mavericks

After installing Mavericks, all paper clips in the "Attachments" column have become giant clips and are distorted. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? thanks

    Found it here!
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/23557739#23557739
Aha! I have disovered that my problems started when I changed the font for the text in the mail window from 10 point to 12 or 14 point - changing it back again to Helvetica 10 made the "big paperclip" problem go away, I changed it then back to 14 aiag and the problem was still gone.
    Strange.

  • [ACS]Problem web interface after reboot

    Hello,
After power outage, when my ACS reboots the web interface doesn't start.
When I connect to CLI with SSH, I enter the command :
    sh acs-config-web-interface
    This is the result :
    ACS management must be running
Please issue 'acs start' CLI if stopped,
or wait for the ACS processes to come up
So I enter the command :
    acs start
    And it's OK.
What is the reason why the ACS doesn't start properly?
Thank you in advance for your response.
    Regards.
    Thomas.

    Hi Thomas,
Which version of ACS you are running?

  • Problems opening iTunes after installation - "QuickTime was not Found"

I am having trouble opening iTunes. Both iTunes and Quick time will download and install and I can open QuickTime without a problem, but when I open iTunes, I get the following error:
Open iTunes and an error opens:
"QuickTime was not found. QuickTime is required to run iTunse. Please uninstall iTunes and then install iTunes again."
I only have trouble when I am at home and not connected to my work network. I was able to start iTunes yesterday while in the office, but all my music is on my external hard drive at home. Not helpful!
I have tried about everything - uninstalled, reinstalled itunes and quick time, disabled bonjour, disabled the startup files, etc. I am still not having any luck.
    Any suggestions?

Both iTunes and Quick time will download and install and I can open QuickTime without a problem, but when I open iTunes, I get the following error:
    A bit unusual.
Did you do the QuickTime/iTunes install at work?
Is QuickTime still launching when you get the PC home?
(Wondering if something relating to the network at work have done odd things to QuickTime or iTunes registry entries ... possibly iTunes is looking for QuickTime on the wrong drive when you get the PC home, for example.)

  • Problems with CS6 after installation with Migration Assistant.

I just used Mac OS Migration assistant to get CS6 into a new computer.  Everything was hunky dory on the first computer and I already deactivated CS6 on my older second computer.
But I am now having CS6 issues on the new one.
InDesign won’t start up and Photoshop thinks I’m using a trial version.
My feeling is that the problem comes from AAM.  All my Adobe problems seem to come from this unpleasant program.
Can anyone suggest how I fix things please?

    Simply install the software correctly.

hi, my mac become too hot to touch and make strange graphic artifact in finder, menu bar, dock bar and dashboard....i call apple but saw never hear nothing about this problem..... anyone have this issue please call apple and explain the problem..... i have this from july and the issue affect all iMac mid 2011 27"inc with have 6970m hd radeon graphic card.  please call apple care. thank you

hmmmm. were those videos that you converted yourself
with QT Pro, alg2? if so, it might be worth checking
on the possibility from this document:
QuickTime Pro: DV format movies may require
    adjustment for iPod
(if the source files were DV PAL, that can produce
the "bars down the side" effect ... unlike NTSC where
you get the "bars along the top" effect shown in the
    graphic in the document.)
I did convert them myself but but not with quicktime pro will this solution still apply if were to purchase QT Pro or should i contact the company i bought my programme from.

  • Problem with Views after installation

It seems that whenever I open a file and set the view - e.g., from icon view to list view, the new setting is adopted in all other windows as well. A work around appears to be setting the view under View Options however this is a pain if one needs to do this for every file.
Anyone else run across this issue?
    Thanks,
    J

Yep Same problem?? change view in one it changes all a if set as default is permanently on
also cant get the icons in a folder to" snap to grid " either and cant find where to set it??
    Anyone got any ideas/ help
