Long initial connect time for Resound Linx on Incoming call

I just got the Resound Linx 7 and iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1.2.  They seem to be pairing directly with no problems.
When I get an inbound call, it seems like it takes about 3-5 seconds for audio to come through on the Linx, during that time there is no audio on the speakerphone nor earpiece but the call is connected.  I can't hear the first few words they say and come into the call late.
Is the 3-5 second connect time normal?
If so, is there a way to get the audio to play through the handset until it connects?
If not, where should start troubleshooting?

I am quite happy with the Starkeys, yes. They are not perfect (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6285850 is a now 442-post long thread about them - you can see the good and the bad), but they are far better for me than the Linx were....and they are a lot easier on batteries, too.

  • Long start-up time for Photo Editor in Adobe Elements 11

I am wondering why it takes so long for the Photo Editor, at the welcome screen (the introduction), takes very long; in comparison to Organizer? In fact, when I check Task Manager it has not yet responded. It takes close to 1 minute for the Photo Editor of Elements version 11 to start. I have an Acer V3 laptop computer operating on Windows 8.1; 8 GB main memory (RAM), 750 GB hard disk drive, A8 AMD processor. Thank you for your consideration, and any helpful advice.

    Slow Startup
If you are not on a network, and/or you are not using an Airport, make sure that only your internal modem network port is active, otherwise the OS will test the other ports (Ethernet, Airport, etc.) for activity on startup, particularly if any of the unused ports are set for DHCP.
Go to the Network pane in System Preferences and click on the 'Show' pop-up menu. Choose the 'Network Port Configurations' option. Make sure that the Internal Modem port is the only one selected. (Of course, if you have your Macintosh on a network, or if you are using an Airport, you will have to turn on the appropriate port for these.)
Another thing that can slow down startup times is having your Mac set to check a network time server if you don't have a broadband connection (DSL or cable modem) to the Internet. In System Preferences, go to the Date and Time pane, click on the Network Time Tab, and make sure you don't have Use Network Time Server checked. This causes a delay as your computer connects to the Internet and looks for a Network time server to sync with. (This will also keep your Mac from dialing up the Internet unexpectedly at odd times.)
Another thing to check is in Applications /Utilities/Directory Access. Click on the Services tab, and in the resulting window, if you're not using (or going to be using) the various services listed, be sure to uncheck them. (That is, in the Enable column, deselect the checkboxes for NetInfo, LDAPv2, and/or LDAPv3.) Having them checked could lead to delays in start up.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 unusual long initial loading time.

Never had this problem with Photoshop CS6.
    OSX Yosemite
    Macbook Pro Retina 2013
Just bought CC last night, every time I open Photoshop CC, the app works fine for a few second (before the welcome screen popup) then goes into a 45sec - 1min loading, the mouse pointer changes to the rainbow spinner during the period of time and Photoshop isnt responding to any input. After the loading is done, the welcome screen pops open and everything is fine again...its very strange and frustrating.
This is all happening without opening any image files, just trying to run PS itself.
    Any ideas?

As you can see from the crash details, your AMD video card driver is crashing.
You need to update your video card driver from AMD's website (not Microsoft or a system builder).

  • I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8 & Firefox 9.0.1. It takes a significantly longer amount of time for Firefox to open now. I've always had about 5-6 pin tabs that automatically open, but this was never a problem before. Should I downgrade, or is there a fix? Thx.

Not sure why it takes almost 1-2 minutes for Firefox to fully open and load. It's also not an internet issue, as Safari opens immediately.

  • Long log in times for new user

I am having a devil of a time deploying 10.9 and 10.10.  I am deploying Macs in a lab environment which sits in an AD world.  I usually followed the same pattern of image creation: 1) create a test profile, 2) Install and configure the programs and the dock, 3) Copy the profile, and 4) then test with both a local and admin accounts.  With Lion and Mountain Lion, everything worked fine.  The new user was able to log on with the default user template profile that was copied.  Now with 10.9.5, the network user (with a network Home Page) takes 5 minutes to log on when I copy a profile to the User Templates folder.  I can't create a new user from Users and Groups because the system preferences wont close because it is still busy creating the user.   I use Deploy Studio and Profile Manager to push out images.  I followed my procedures to the core including repairing the permissions, deleting the key chain, and clearing out the application caches.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  Is there anything new in regards to Active Directory in Mavericks and Yosemite and OS X?  Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Speed up initial login time

I have a problem in my domain environment with Windows 8 computers. Initial login time for new users is much longer than in Windows XP.
    default profile size
    new profile size
    creation time of new profile
    Windows XP
    1,05 MB
    ~6 MB
    ~10 sec.
    Windows 8
    1,36 MB
    ~70 MB
    ~200 sec.
How can I speed up first login time? People in my enviornment very often change their computers and need to login very fast using their own login credentials. They also don't store any private data, workstations are only clients to server
applications. I'm not using roaming profiles.
I've noticed that a lot of space is taken by the files in these directories:
    C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache
    WebCacheV01.dat [32 MB]
    C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer [13 MB]
    C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\SettingSync\metastore [10 MB]
Is the creation of these files so time-consuming?

is that an answer? NO... Windows 8.1 is useless in school environments. How hard can it be to create a fast login experience? This is always been slow since Vista but now it's even slower... "Preparing Windows" if there is no local profile yet (which is
always the case when using roaming profiles in a large computer environment where users constantly change computers). Also what exactly is Windows doing? Because you can ctrl alt del out of it. Also sometimes a black desktop opens... Eventually icons appear.
Please MS... do you even test roaming profiles yourself as they are intended?
We have used roaming profiles for years with no issues when set up correctly.  The logon times after the first logon are about 2 to 3 seconds.
Learning the basics of Windows networking and how to set up and correctly administer Windows in a domain is critical. Those who refuse to do the learning always end up complaining about how Windows doesn't work.  They fail to see how it uncovers their
    lack of training.
Oh - yes.  On a brand new profile(never logged in before), if you remote to it it will show a black desktop.  Logoff and on and the desktop will return to the default.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • CRM_DNO_MONITOR field: initial response time

    Hi,
In CRM_DNO_MONITOR we were able to see all the data except 'Initial Response time' of Service desk message.
Kindly let us know, how to configure so that 'Initial Response time'  should be displayed in CRM_DNO_MONITOR.
    Thank you!

    Hello Jerome,
understand better... sorry. Well unfortunately this value is not available in report CRM_DNO_SERVICE_MONITOR cause when you take a look to the structure used for the display table no field was created for that.
If that's something YOU NEED to implemement: here is the procedure
    - do a structure append of CRMT_DNO_SERVICE_MONITOR to add field Initial Response Time - ZINITRESPTIME
    - Then Use Badi CRM_DNO_MONITOR to fill the column Initial Response Time for CRM_DNO_MONITOR Transaction
In this Badi you can use Class: CL_DSMOP_REP_CRM, method:  get_first_react_time as done by SOLAR_EVAL.
You should put a breakpoint in CL_DSMOP_REP_CRM->PREPARE_SIMPLE_OUTPUTLIST to see how standard handled that. That will definitely help u or the developer you might need
    Hope that helps,
    Regards,
    Khalil

  • In OS X 10.4.10 Air tunnes and other stuff takes longer to connect

Since I upgraded to OS X 10.4.x everything that is wireless takes longer to connect. For example iTunes takes like 13sec. to connect to the Airport Express. My Logitech bluetooth mouse takes like 17sec. to reconnect when it looses signal. And in Safari when I am listening to audio samples in Amazon.com it's like 1992 again it takes 20sec. to hear a 30sec. sample. All of this used to be much faster in OS X 10.3.9.
Does anyone notice this, and if so, is there a way to make things a little bit snappier?
    Thanks

    Try doing a power cycle.
Shut all the computers, routers, airports, expresses...turn them off.
Wait a few minutes, then turn on again:
modem first, then router, then expresses, then computers.
This may not be the complete fix, but it may help the network sluggishness.

  • How monitor the use of dial-peer (Connect Time)

How monitor multiple dial-peer (Connect Time) ??
When this reaches the defined time accumulated connected (example: Connect Time = 10000) shutdown the dial-peer.
    UC520#show dial-peer voice 2 | beg Connect
    Connect Time = 1430, Charged Units = 0,
    Successful Calls = 2, Failed Calls = 0, Incomplete Calls = 0
    Accepted Calls = 0, Refused Calls = 0,
Last Disconnect Cause is "10  ",
Last Disconnect Text is "normal call clearing (16)",
    Last Setup Time = 1445373634.
    Last Disconnect Time = 1445375144.
enable dial-peer in a day of the month date concurrently (example: Every day 15 of each month)
    commands used:
    clear statistics dial-peer voice 1
show dial-peer voice 1 | beg Connect Time
    Thanks
    Felix Guzman

This should be doable with an EEM policy.  If I understand you correctly you want to watch for connect time to reach 10000 when it does you want to shutdown the dial peer.
And then enable every 1th day of each month.
The first part you would do with a watchdog EEM policy which periodically runs and checks the output of the show dial-peer voice 2 command.
The second part you probably would use a second EEM script to trigger on a cron timer set for the 15th day of the month, and have it run the commands you mentioned.
    Thanks.

  • Slow auto-detect times for PATA drive

    Problem:
Very long auto-detect times for the PATA drive.  During boot up, the system pauses at "auto-detecting" for this drive, for about 30 seconds.  This is by far the longest period in my entire boot process.  Occassionally the drive is not found at all, and I cannot boot.  When I go into the BIOS, it's identified correctly.  This is my OS/apps drive (the SATA drive is solely for audio and video).  Any ideas?  Also, is there a way I can get my system running in Native mode without losing the DVD drive?
    My system:
    865PE NEO2-FISR
1x160GB WD PATA drive, IDE 1, last spot on cable, jumpered as master
1x120GB WD SATA drive, SATA 1, jumpered as factory
1xOptoRite DVD-RW, IDE2, last spot on cable, jumpered as master
    BIOS Setup:
Legacy/PATA+SATA (I tried both Native settings--SATA only/Keep PATA enabled, PATA only/Keep SATA enabled, but the system could not see my DVD-RW drive in either setting).

BIOS 1.7.  I'm going to take the jumper off, thanks for that information.  Should I set my DVDRW to cable select?
I also see that the beta BIOS fixes some problems with similar HDD issues, so I guess I'll try that if it isn't fixed by the jumper.
