Looking for a copy of the standard ruleset for CC GRC 5.1

Our Corporate Controlling office wants a SoD report for both our customized CC ruleset and the standard Virsa ruleset. However, the consultants we used to implement did not keep the standard ruleset (or back it up). Does anyone know where I can find the standard ruleset.

It comes with installation. You can always download the installation from service marketplace and extract the ruleset out.

How to update a copy of the Standard Hierarchy

We created a copy of the Standard Hierarchy for 0CUST_SALES in BW. How can we update this copy from the Standard Hierarchy LKDH? We just realized the copy was not being updated on a regular basis like the Standard Hierarchy. We already have reports using this copy and we want to update the copy so we don't have to change these reports.
Can someone tell me how to do this?

Can you tell me how to do this? When I create an infopackage on the datasource 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER, the only hierarchy listed on the Hierarchy Selection tab is the Standard Hierarchy. What do I need to do to get the hierarchy that I created as a copy of the Standard Hierarchy is also listed on the Hierarchy Selection tab?

Since GRC 10 is still in the initial phases, it might take time to publish the study material as like GRC 5.3. However, some of the reference documents are available at New AC 10.0 documents published in BPX

Error while activating the copy of the standard module

Hi,
I wanted to create a copy of the module material_read_all and so I copied the entire function group.
Now when I am trying to activate it , I am getting syntax error saying that the field does not exist in the global declarations. When I double click on the field name it takes me to another modules of the same function group where the said field is an export parameter.
I cross checked with the standard module and there also no explicit declaration is given. I also tried declaraing the variable again and then activating.But on doing it I got different results from both the modules for the same input and so I had to delete and create it again.
The same thing is happening with other modules also which I am trying to copy.
Can anyone please help me with this.
For copying the function group I entered the main program name in se38 and clicked on copy. It then asked me to copy the modules so I just added 'Z' before the modules to make a duplicate copy.
It is very very urgent.

Hi,
I have tried activating all the includes individually and then the main program. But still I am getting the errors. While activating the includes on checking for the syntax error it showed error but on clicking on activating it got activated. But same thing sis not working for the main program.
I also tried with 'activate anyway' but even after that syntax errors are there with the field decalrations.

Copy SAP delivered global ruleset

We've a newly configured RAR 5.3. How to copy the SAP delivered Global ruleset and make a new ruleset ?. We do not want to affect the Sap delivered ruleset.

The best way I have seen this done is at the file system level.
Keep your copy of the standard rulesets. Maintain a "delta" file for what you disable / delete and what you add of your own, and then load that as if it were the one and only global ruleset.
This way you have good version control at the file level as well, because new improved SAP rulesets are usefull, but will wipe out anything you have changed in the application anyway.
It also means that anyone wanting to tinker around with the rules has to pass via the change management procedures to get to the system admin (with access to the file system).
This might not be state of the art use of technology, but it works very well.

Rationale for rules in standard ruleset

I'm reviewing the violations reported against out R/3 production system, and I'm struggling to understand why some of them, particularly in the "Basis" business process, are SoD violations. Is there a list or document somewhere that explains the thinking behind the standard rules and what issues they are trying to highlight. There are some rules I'm tempted to disable, but there's a nagging doubt in my mind that I might have missed something and disabling the rules would be a really bad idea! Obviously somebody, somewhere, thought all of these standard rules were right for them...
For example, we have some users that have transaction SE16 (display only) and transaction SM50. This trips over risk B009, but why? What am I missing?

Thanks. Yes, I'm quite happy with the approach we're taking. Some of the default rules obviously don't apply to us and have been disabled. Some have needed fairly obvious changes before they are appropriate for us. Those rules have been copied, and the copies changed and the originals disabled - doing the same to affected functions where necessary. This gives us an easy audit trail. All of this has been done with the help of our internal auditors.
What we're left with now are rules that our users are triggering, but we don't understand well enough to know why. I like to think I have quite a devious mind, and so if there's a possible exploit somewhere I can figure it out. But some of the standard rules I just don't understand at all. Somebody, somewhere, must have thought all these rules worth including in the standard ruleset, so there must be an exploit hiding in there somewhere. That's what makes me nervous about disabling the ones I don't understand. It would have been really nice if the people compiling the standard ruleset had kept, and published, notes about why each rule was there and what it was intended to detect, rather than letting each customer figure it out for themselves. Yes, we're all different and need a different customised ruleset, but that doesn't mean we don't need to know what the standard rules are there for. We need to understand the starting point before we can be sure about what we get when we customise it.

Copy the standard cube

Hi All,
Can any one tell me what is the best way to copy the standard business content cube with all of it's underlying objects such as update rules, queries, structures, variables, etc. I am planning to make a copy of the standard cube as it is with a custom name.

You can copy the cube and update rules.
When you right click to create a cube, you could use the template as the custom cube and hence copy it. Similarly while creation of Update Rules, you can do the same way.

How to add text to the standard iPad wallpaper

We have thousands of iPads in our business, all controlled by MobileIron. We would like to put a message on all the iPads pertains to password policy.
The way we propose is to take a copy of the standard wallpaper, add the message to that using a Paint like program, then use that as the wallpaper for the lock screen.
However, we can't find a way to add a wallpaper to those which are stored on the iPad.
Does anyone know how we can achieve this - or have any other ideas for how to put a message on the lock screen, which can easily be rolled out to many devices.

You can't add to the wallpapers that are stored on the phone but you can use any picture stored on the device as the lock screen wallpaper. Can't think of any to automate the process, though.

Copy and edit standard smartform...

In tcode VA03, there is a form for printing the header. I want to add additional data to that smartform not by editing the standard form. Instead, I should edit the copy of the standard form.

Then go to transaction smartforms, enter the name of your smartform, and then click on the Copy button on top left.
You need to then also amend your config to call your smartform. Plenty of posts/blogs on this.

Just hide the standard buttons and create your own one outside. If it's just regarding some probably missing translation, best is to go add the missing translation using se61.

I'm looking for some help connecting linksys IP Cameras to my home network to monitor my property when I'm travelling. I used to do this with linksys WAPS, but since I've discarded all my old linksys networking and standardized on airport, I can't get these things working. I know that I have to identify my camera through the DHCP table and set up port forwarding and there is the problem.
My network consists of 4 base stations set up in a roaming network - same network name and passwords. I need to do it this way so I don't have to switch network when I move from one side of the house to the other, go to the cabana, or my shop in the barn. The network works pretty well since I went to a roaming set up. Good performance, yata, yata, yata.
However, the roaming network requires the AEBS's to be set up in bridge mode, rather than sharing an ip address. When the AEBS is set to bridge mode, you don't see a DCHP table or have the ability to identify your IP Cam through the AEBS - and hence, no port forwarding.
I am able to identify and set up my Linksys IP Cam by locating the ip address on my FIOS router, even though, it's plugged into an AEBS. I set it up, see the video, remove the ethernet cable from the IP Cam, restart - and I can't get to it from an AEBS. In researching this, it appears, I should be setting up the AEBS to "share an IP Address", going to the DHCP table and identifying the camera's IP address and setting up port forwarding. However, you don't see any of the DHCP or port forwarding options in Airport Network Utility when configuring in bridge mode.
I'm hoping I'm missing something here and that the solution isn't to set it up at the FIOS router level, but I'm beginning to think that's my only hope. What concerns me there is that I should be able to see the IP cam on the network without port forwarding since I'm not coming from outside, and I can't even do this unless it's connected hard wire.
I'd appreciate any insight into this that anyone might have. I've hit the wall with what I know.

In a roaming network, your "main" router is the device that would require port mapping/forwarding to be configured in order to access the IP camera from the Internet. This router is also the one that would be provide the private IP address for the camera which you will want to be a static one.
So as you described your network, the IP cameras should be getting an IP address or you assigned it a static one and this is the address that you would enter in the Private IP address (or equivalent depending on the router used) field when setting up port mapping.
If you are not able to access this camera from the local network, then this should be troubleshot first.

I don't believe it will open a Word document, but Writepad allows for handwritten conversion of notes to text and then to email. Might help you some of the way...

Accordion or Tabbed panel should to it, with click and open container.

When I bought a new laptop and copied my entire itunes library onto my new computer, alot of my songs won't play and say "file could not be found". When I got to the itunes media folder songs I am looking for aren't there.

Some of the songs that "can not be located" are songs that I have purchased from Itunes and when I right click on the album and go to "show in itunes store" the album shows up as purchased but there is not an option to re-downlaod it to my library again. Also, ALL of the albums that I already owned and brought into Itunes say the files "cannot be located". Please help.

Copy them the correct way.
Close iTunes on both computers.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder for the old computer to the new computer.
Open iTunes on the new computer. Everything in iTunes will be exactly as it was on the old computer.

I'm not sure if I get your problem right away but if you just need to add some selections to the selection screen of Program RI_ORDER_OPERATION_LIST, you just have to copy include I_ORDER_OPERATION_LIST_SEL to your own z* include and add the selection parameters you want. If this is not the result you're looking for, please explain it more detailed.
