Looking for Contributors to Ruby DocumentDB SDK

Given there is no current Ruby SDK I've started working on one and wanted to enlist help (and give Microsoft full permission to take it and use it if so desired).
The project is on github here:
Azure DocumentDB SDK on GitHub
I'm only asking that people maintain near 100% unit test coverage and that they use TDD.
My personal goal is to keep the code as simple and as clean as possible (see how I've tried to make the Master Key authentication readable and thoroughly tested).
Thanks all!

Thank you for hosting this project, @craftsmanadam!

  • Looking for older version of iPhone SDK

I have a Mac mini OSX version 10.5.8.
I'd like a version of the iPhone SDK that will run on this.
Does anyone know where I can find it?
    Thanks.

If it is an Intel with 1GB of Ram you can buy SnowLeopard to upgrade the OS. If it has 2GB of Ram and a Core2Duo Intel, you can then buy Lion ( from within Snow ) to upgrade 10.6.x to 10.7.x from the MacAppStore ( part of SnowLeo's 10.6.6 free update ).
Xcode v4.1 itself is freely available ( from the MacAppStore)  and you can make and freely distribute Mac OSX apps with it, but you can only install/test/submit ios-apps to Apples Appstore if you get a paid subscribtion with Apple.
Leopard is a dead OS for doing developing. ( and also in general soon , the ppc part of it is end of life ).

  • Im writing a candidate and im looking for a complete graphic-list of all the IPHONE's ICONS (whithout downloading/paying the SDK))

    Hi!
Im writing a candidate exam about how icons could help out a certain application in a smartphone format.
I would love to have an overview of the IPHONE/IPAD ICONS that are used in the iOs 5.1 or earlier.
I would assume i could find them in the SDK but i cant log in and dont want to pay 99$ for just an overview of these icons

    Thanks for the reply...
And to clear out the symbols/icons requests.
This is something im looking for - only official :
    When you mention:
"Apple has guidelines and agreements covering use of their icons/IP."
Of course they have, im just thinking it cant be illegal to evaluate and test these icons.
As i cant access the SDK, do you know where the guidelines may exist?

  • Looking for a java-based SDK that handles file conversion to PDF and TIF...

    Hi all,
First off, this is my first posting so I'm not 100% sure where to post this topic. So please forgive me if I'm accidentally posting in the wrong location.
My question deals with a project I am currently working on.
I am looking for a java-based SDK that can meet the following requirements...
    1) convert all printable file-formats (i.e. JPEG, DOC, TXT, PPT, etc.) into PDF
    2) merge multiple PDFs into one PDF
    3) convert PDF to TIF or at least do some sort of conversion to TIF
    4) works in Java or some sort of web-based language
    5) free or relatively cheap
Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

I don't think you will get one API to do them all.
    Some helpful hints:

[http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/] (with the pdf-image extension, that I can't find now :shakefist)

  • Service Manager 2012 R2 Looking for the SDK method for Select All management packs OMCI Connector

    Hi all,
I'm working through a script that updates the OpsMgr CI connector's MP sync list after a MP import. What I want to do is a Select All to sync the OpsMgr MP's I just imported into Service Manager. Just like checking the Select All
box after refreshing the connector in the GUI.
I have been through the cmdlets and looked at the assemblies in VS. I can't find the method that does this.
    I found IsNullPropertySkipped under
    Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.Connectors.OpsMgr but that's it
    And nothing in here
    Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.Sdk.Connectors.Connector
Must be missing it, and am not having much luck with TechNet.
    Thanks much–Drew

I'm afraid you won't find a quick'n'easy solution for this. I'll start out by saying I don't know if Powershell has any cmdlets for this..but I know you can use the .NET SDK via powershell to do whatever you need to do. So my post focuses on the SDK/C#. You
should be able to adapt it in Powershell.
The function you want to replicate (check-all) is unique to the Operations Manager CI connector implementation and, as such, my post below may sound a bit overwhelming.
Let me start by describing where an OM CI connector's selected management packs are stored. They're stored in the connector's workflow rule (specifically, in its WriteAction module).  Take a look at the ServiceManager.LinkingFramework.Configuration
management pack where all OM CI connector rules are stored. Look for a rule that starts with "OMConnector." (the dot will be followed by some random string of text and "_SyncRule"). Take a look at the <WriteAction> and you'll see an <MPList>
node that contains a bunch of <MPInfo> nodes. Each <MPInfo> node represents a management pack that was selected in the OM CI Connector wizard.
So, if I understand what you're trying to do, when you import a new MP into Service Manager, you want to add that MP to the OM CI connector's sync list. First; if that MP doesn't exist in OpsMgr, there isn't much point to adding it to the sync list, so I'll
assume you want to add MPs to the sync list that also exist in OpsMgr). Second; there may be other constraints on what MPs you can actually choose in that OM CI wizard and it would be wise to respect those constraints in your own solution. In any case, you'll
have to modify the OM CI connector's rule's write action. There are a couple approaches you can try.
You can try using Microsoft's helper classes that were built for OM CI Connectors (check out the OpsMgrConnectorHelper class and related classes in the Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.OpsMgrConnectorUtils.dll.
Also check out the OpsMgr connector wizard classes in the Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.UI.Administration.dll).
The other possible approach is to modify the connector's rule directly using the SDK's ManagementPackRule and ManagementPackWriteActionModule classes. You can easily get your OM CI connector's rule using the management pack's "GetRule" method (or the EnterpriseManagementGroup's
Monitoring.GetRule method). The management pack rule has a "WriteActionCollection" which is a collection of ManagementPackWriteActionModule objects. There should be only one ManagementPackWriteActionModule in an OM CI rule's write action collection.
This object has a "Configuration" property..it contains a giant block of XML that holds all of the <MPInfo> nodes I mentioned earlier. So, you can modify that block of XML, then write the changes back to the management pack using the management pack's
AcceptChanges() method. Here's the basic structure:
    ManagementPack mpLinkingFramework = emg.ManagementPacks.GetManagementPack(new Guid("50DAAF82-06CE-CACB-8CF5-3950AEBAE0B0")); //ServiceManager.LinkingFramework.Configuration
    ManagementPackRule mpr = mpLinkingFramework.GetRule("<my connector's rule's name>");
    ManagementPackWriteActionModule mpwam = mpr.WriteActionCollection[0];
String myConfig = mpwam.Configuration; //This is the XML block you want to update
    myConfig = "<a modified configuration with my new <MPInfo> node>";
    mpwam.Configuration = myConfig;
    mpLinkingFramework.AcceptChanges();
Please note I haven't personally tried modifying an OM CI connector's rule using this method and I can't promise it will work..you'll definitely want to try it in a test environment first. But I can say I have modified my own connectors (and other write actions)
using this technique and it works fine. I just can't say for sure how it might affect an OM CI connector since I haven't tried it myself.
Though my post here is definitely _not_ a solution, hopefully it will give you some guidance on how you might approach your solution.
Maybe someone else here has personally used the OM CI connector classes and can give you some better insight.

  • Looking for some advice dealing with Kernel Panics

Hi there! I'm looking for some help regarding constant kernel panics I've been getting on my machine. It has been happening pretty regularly for the last month or so, occuring sometimes three times in one day and other times none. I've been looking to see what might cause the issue and have thus far come up emptyhanded. I can't think of anything I've modified recently that would be causing the issue. I performed a hardware test using AHT and no errors were found. I've included both the most recent report from the panic as well as the EtreCheck report. Any and all advice is appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    The likely culprit:
The problem is likely due to the discreet GPU failing. Download gfxCardStatus 2.3 and use it to disable the GPU. This is a temporary workaround until you get your motherboard replaced.
Possible other causes are the software that installed these:
    com.splashtop.driver.SRXFrameBufferConnector          1.5
    com.avatron.AVExFramebuffer          1.7
    com.splashtop.driver.SRXDisplayCard          1.5
    com.avatron.AVExVideo          1.7
Now they may be causing panics because the try to use acceleration in the GPU which leads to the panics. You are unlucky to have a particular model that has a real problem with this.

  • Looking for a special app

im looking for an app that has a lock feature an allows me to store other apps within it to keep them hid from the kids

No. The SDK does not allow apps to edit the "core" kernels of the iPhone. Such an app would manipulate installs or the springboard, both of which are "core."
Unless Apple changes the nature of the SDK (doubtful) then no programer has the necessary access to create such an app.

  • Looking for someone with ios developer account who can compile and test my app on ios 8

    Hi,
    my ios developer account expired.
Before I renew it i want to be sure that my app will still run on ios 8
It's a flex app , downloadable  on google code : Source Checkout - helpdiabetes-air - HelpDiabetes written for Adobe AIR - Google Project Hosting
So i'm looking for some one with flash builder installed, with the latest flex sdk (4.13) , an ios developer account and a device with ios 8, who wants to build and install the app for me.
    See if it runs.
    thanks,
    Johan

I have to say this is the hardest thing to diagnose that I have come up against over the past 10 years! Completely out of ideas.
If this was just the Intuos3 with the mouse on my G5 then I would just say it is a bad mouse switch, but when a different mouse on two different tablets (Intuos 2 and Intuos3) are both exhibiting the same behavior on two different computers (a G4 Laptop and a G5 Tower) - then something is wrong.
The only other thing I have done to both computers recently is I installed Adobe CS3. Have any of you that have responded also installed CS3?
This is not a Wacom Driver issue, because if you plug in a tablet without the Wacom Driver installed, the mouse should still work like a standard mouse and I am having trouble even then. Even during a restart of the computer as soon as the Wacom tablet blue light comes on - even before the desktop appears, if I hold down the mouse button the tablet will irratically flicker between blue (receiving power from USB) to green (mouse button engaged)? (Again it does not do this with the Pen - it always works fine - just any Wacom mouse).
If it were a USB power issue the tablet light would go off and on, but it doesn't - one of the LEDs is always lit. If it were a tablet grid issue, the Pen would also display the same symptoms - it doesn't. It acts like the mouse does not have enough "consistent power" output to keep the grid engaged when activated which would be easily explained by a bad mouse switch or for sure if the mouse had a bad battery, but I don't think the mouse has a battery does it? And none of this explains why I am getting this on two tablets with two mice (unless the mouse actually does have a battery and both are bad)?
Anyway I am 95% sure this is a communication problem between the mouse and the tablet - not the tablet and the computer and Driver is not in the equation.
    Really stumped.

  • Looking for a client/server that supports multiple protocol and delivery

Hi all, I don't know if this the right place to ask my question, here it goes.
I am looking to develop a client-server that supports multiple protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS etc. I am looking for a framework( i don't know if that is correct or I need some kind of web-service (soap etc)) that would manage connection, security etc. I would like to like to devote most of my time in developing business objects with multiple delivery mechanism such as sending serilized java objects, xml message or soap message, or in some case JMS message as well. So I need a client server that can come in via TCP/IP or HTTP or anyother industry standard protocol and I should be able to service him with pub/sub model and also request/response model as well.
I don't know if I had explained what I need, I would like to know what technologies I should be evaluating and which direction I should be heading... Also the server I'm developing should be free of Java constraints if needed...
Also this service is not webbased service as now but if need arises I should have a flexibilty to make them web enabled in future. Also I would like to work with open source webservers or appservers if I need

Inxsible wrote:I installed i3 - along with the i3status - which I still have to figure out. I am liking what I see as of now. It reminds me of wmii -- when I used it way back when. However I do not like the title bar. I would much rather prefer a 1 px border around the focused window.
"i3 was created because wmii, our favorite window manager at the time, didn't provide some features we wanted (multi-monitor done right, for example), had some bugs, didn't progress since quite some time and wasn't easy to hack at all (source code comments/documentation completely lacking). Still, we think the wmii developers and contributors did a great job. Thank you for inspiring us to create i3. "
To change the border of the current client, you can use bn to use the normal border (including window title), bp to use a 1-pixel border (no window title) and bb to make the client borderless. There is also bt  which will toggle the different border styles.
    Examples:
    bindsym Mod1+t bn
    bindsym Mod1+y bp
    bindsym Mod1+u bb
or put in your config file
    new_window bb

  • Looking for voice to text app as good as Droid......anyone know of one?

I'm looking for a voice to text app that is incorporated in actual text messaging similar to Droid that I can use on my 3GS. Anyone know of one?

To straighten things out: You mean you are looking for a messenger application ie SMS or MSN with voice to text capability?
AFAIK there is no messenger client to iOS that has incorporated voice to text capability. Yet. However, Nuance has now released their SDK to all iOS developer to incorporate Voice to text capability so it should be just a matter of time now before your favorite messenger app gets V2T.
Voice recognition is an even harder challenge not at least due to all kinda dialects and strange pronunciations and very few has the economic power and skills to create a good and working Voice to Text. Nuance (Dragon Dictate) is one of the few who knows about it.
The reason Dragon Dictate App on iOS "exports" the text to other third part app the ways it does is due to security reasons (every app is sandboxed).
Dragon Dictate v2 supports iOS4 and after "voicing" you just hit the key to which you want to send it to: SMS, e-Mail, Twitter, Facebook..

  • Looking for a more universal scripting language than AppleScript or Automator

I want to learn a cross-platform/web scripting language to automate tasks, write scripts and with the potential to create programs and web apps.
I am looking for something that:
    - is not a program with a GUI like Automator, iKey, Quickeys, Maestro...
    - is more "universal" than Applescript, cross-platform
    - can be used to automate simple tasks in a simple way
    - can also be used to create more complex scripts, web apps and maybe, eventually, programs (with GUI)
I've read about Javascript, Python, Ruby, PHP, Perl, C+, C++, Java and others, but I really don't know.
    - Java sounds pretty cool, Python too.
    - I'm not crazy about PHP or Perl, with Javascript, but some people swear by it
    - I don't know anything about C+, C++
Does anyone have any suggestion(s)?  Please let me know if you need any more details.  Thank you.

C, C++, Objective-C are nor scripting languages and will not help you do web pages. (Don;t know what C+ is).
Forget Java it has lots of security problems and more and more users are disabling Java in their web browsers because of this. Developing in Java would be, in my opinion, a mistake.
If you are doing any web works at all you will need to know some Javascript, no way around that.  But Javascript is actually not a bad language
Note Java and Javascript are two totally separate languages that have nothing in common  but the first 4 letters of their names.
So you are left with PHP, Perl, Python and Ruby.
Dismissing PHP and Perl out of hand is a big mistake, They are both major players and you will run into them just about everywhere. If you are looking to do this for possible employment you will need to be familiar with them at least.
Python and Ruby are both strong languages as well. I don't have a lot of experience with either so I can;t speak to their strengths  but  learnign either would not be a mistake.
Knowing what your reasons are for asking this, personal use or for employment, might help refine the list some.
    regards
Message was edited by: Frank Caggiano - Perl is also included in OS X by default. Not sure about PHP but I believe it also is. I agree TextWrangler would be a good editor for this type of work.

    Welcome to the HP Community!
You may notice that we have changed our look.
We designed the new layout to make it easier for people to find what they are looking for.

    Hi,
    Try the following
First of all, see if you can uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant by using the Microsoft 'Fixit' on the following link - this is particularly useful in correcting issues that may prevent reinstallation on machines running a 64bit OS.
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
If this completes, restart the PC.
Next download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the page on the link below - the download links are towards the bottom of the page.
    http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-support-assistant.html
After the installation, restart the PC again.
    Regards,

  • What to look for when buying a used MacBook Pro? Tips

Here to acquire a few tips on purchasing a used Macbook Pro. I am not graced with an Apple Store in my area, so I must rely on my own sub par geek wit and with the help of yours.
    Tips I know.
Checking Battery Cycles and mAh capacity.
    Looking for third party applications.
    Request the original StartUp/Install Disks.
    Checking memory ratios...

Shop your local and nearby Craigslist websites, starting with:
    http://tampa.craigslist.org/
Read this excellent post by frequent contributor JasonFear about buying and selling through Craigslist:
    http://discussions.apple.com/click.jspa?searchID=-1&messageID=9958349
    Avoid Ebay.
If third-party applications or other software are included, they add nothing at all to the value of the machine unless you are given the original installer discs for them. Otherwise, they are just pirated software that you can't reinstall if you ever need to.

After running EtreCheck I noticed that many extensions do not load.  So my question is: Can I delete extensions that do not load or am I looking for trouble?
    Here is the EtreCheck report:
    Problem description:

    EtreCheck version: 2.1.8 (121)
Report generated February 19, 2015 at 12:11:22 PM EST

Starting your Mac in "Safe Mode" (see below) will load only Apple-provided kernel extensions. Observing its perfomance in that mode will be instructive.
The problems you describe are likely to have been caused by garbage software of which "TechTool Pro" is only one example. That system has been altered from its factory configuration through the installation of several third party system modifications, any one of which can cause poor performance. Interaction between two or more is another possibility. Running a torrent client is another way of inviting malware intrusion.
Safe Mode or "Safe Boot" is a troubleshooting mode that bypasses all third party system extensions and loads only required system components. Read about it: Starting up in Safe Mode
You must disable FileVault before you can start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Starting your Mac in Safe Mode will take longer than usual, graphics will not render smoothly, audio is disabled on some Macs, and some programs (iTunes for example) may not work at all.
Merely starting your Mac in Safe Mode is not intended to resolve the problem, it's to observe its performance without certain additional components.
To end Safe Mode restart your Mac normally. Shutdown will take longer as well.
