Loop on line type in smartform ..!!

Has anybody ever observed that, we can loop on a line type in smartform? (i am not talking about looping option on main table)
the option will be like.. "Repeat Processing".
If anybody has worked on this, Please share the knowledge.....

From what I have seen the only loop you can use in a SmartForm is a loop over an internal table. Can you provide more information on the "Repeat Processing" you talk about?

I created a template in smartforms with three line types. but wen i executed, only the template frame is displayed.
the line type name is not displayed.

Hi,
You have create the text element first and then in yhe output options tab of this text element
give the line and column according to the line types you have created for the template...

Printing double line in Column label Box/Table Line Type of smartform

In MAIN window, in ITEM table, the header box, (where column labels are printed), one double lines r printing!! it looks like (not exactly) instead of single line (________) its printing double lines (======), so, pls. let me know, Wht culd be the reason?

Spacing between two line types in smartform

I have data in two different line types as below
line type1
linetype2
but what my requirement is
line item1
line item2
i had tried by changing the smart style but it dint work. Please help me out in reducing the space between the datas of the line types.

Go to your smartstyle.
Go to your paragran format.
Click on tab Indents and Spacing.There you will see a field named LINE SPACING.In that you can adjust the spacing between two lines.

READ TABLE LT_ITZGLCCODE WITH KEY ZBUKRS = <field>
    BINARY SEARCH TRANSPORTING NO FIELDS. "speed up the volume.

    MOVE-CORRESPONDING <tabrec> to LS_PACKAGE.

Smartform : line type not working fine when used on Next page

Hi ,
Please help on below :
I have a smartform and have line type which is used in printing the items.
When I use this line type on very first page , it works fine.
But for the next page which is the exact copy of first page ,
the line type does not work fine with printing first line item on next page,
it refreshed the work area which i am printing. so on the next page very first element gets all the values 000
But on the next iteration it works fine and does not refresh work area.
Please see why is such abnormal behavior happening.

there might be syntax error. Try to get what exaclty is an error using following code.

In IT_ERRORLIST you will get error message.

Smartform Table Line types duplicate entries problem

Hi ,
I am getting one strange problem in Smartforms. i tried for information in SDN but i did not get any usefull ones.
I have created my main window with particular width. I created two different Line types. On particular condition i need use these line types.
First line item will have 6 columns in that one column is empty.
Second liitem will have 5 columns.
When i am generating the output, the last item data of the first line type is repeating twice, i.e with first line type and the second line type.
Can anyone give me the inputs to solve this.

For the last line of the internal table, you would like to get this:

But you get that:

Did I understand correctly?

Insert new line type at ctrl break in Smartforms

Hi Guys
I am developing a timesheet in smartforms.
In the Smartform my table contains data for two weeks, but I need to bifurcate it on a weekly basis. So when the form starts I print e.g Weekly record:- 01.01.08 to 01.07.08
Now I want that as soon as the control reaches 01.08.08 A new line type should get inserted saying
              Weekly record:- 01.08.08 to 01.14.08
Please guide me how this can be done.

Create your internal table in such a way that it contains the data as per your printing requirement.
E.g.
01.01.08   01.07.08    XXX.XX   123.45
01.08.08   01.14.08    XXX.XX   123.45
Now, if your smartform just create a table node under the MAIN window and prints this values.

RFQ smartform /SMB40/MMRFQ_L line type DUNNING_INFO

How can there be line type DUNNING_INFO for table TABLE_DATA when it is not defined in table tab of TABLE_DATA. in node SCHED_DUNNING_S of node DELIVERY_SCHEDULE_S of node ITM_DLV_SCHEDULE the text node QTY_URGED_S is referencing line type DUNNING_INFO.
If you are NOT a SMARTFORMS expert please do not attempt to answer the question.
I found that I could add a line type TEST to the table and then add a TEXT node and assign the line type TEST.
I then delete line type TEST and activated the SMARTFORM. Voila! QED!!! But is this good practice???

2 line types to be on same page in a table in smartform output

Hi,
In smartforms i have created a table with 2 line types. These 2 linetypes i hav used in the main area of the Table. The data is coming as wanted, but the problem is if there is more data to span to the next page also, then it happens that one line comes in the previous page and the next line comes in the next page. But i want both lines to be on same page. Between them there should not be a break.
Please help me on this.

SAP Smartforms can be used for creating and maintaining forms for mass printing in SAP Systems. The output medium for Smartforms support printer, fax, e-mail, or the Internet (by using the generated XML output).

Defaulting Rules on Line Type

Hi,
I have set up a Defaulting rule based for line type. This defaulting rule calls a custom package on the database to retrieve the correct value. Everything works fine when creating a manual order, but when an order is created automatically via Workfklow then the rule is not applied.
I added a dependency using the OE_Dependencies_Extn package as documented by oracle, in here I link g_inventory_item to g_line_type as follows:
x_extn_dep_tbl(l_index).source_attribute := OE_LINE_UTIL.G_INVENTORY_ITEM;
x_extn_dep_tbl(l_index).dependent_attribute := OE_LINE_UTIL.G_LINE_TYPE;

I can see from some logging I put in that when the custom package is called to determine the line_type that the item_id is not populated correctly!
Anyone have an idea how to resolve this?

What do you mean by 'making a line '?
Is it an empty line?
If it is just a blank line, while creating the text below the logo just give one line space and then type in your text.

Mapping Line type Data to table data

Hi,
I am trying to refer to a data element present in the line type of a table type which belongs to an import parameter of a smartform. How will i access the data element to use in the where clause of a select statement.
For Eg:
Import Parameter name: PARTNER_H
TYPE: CRMT_OUTPUT_PARTNER_H_COMT (table type)
The line type attached to this table type is CRMT_OUTPUT_PARTNER_H_COM.
This line type is the structure that contains the data element that i need to use. the details are as below:
Component: RELATION_PARTNER
Component type: BU_PARTNER_GUID
I have written a select statement as below:
SELECT SINGLE * from BUT000 into I_FS_BUT000 where
PARTNER_GUID = PARTNER_H-RELATION_H.
I have given the input parameter as PARTNER_H.
It throws me an error that "PARTNER_H" is a table without a header line and therefore has no component called "RELATION_H".
Is this the correct way to access the data element?Please help.

Since PARTNER_H is an internal table it may have multiple values. If you want only a single entry from BUT000, you ll have to determine which entry from PARTNER_H you need in select query.
If it is always going to have only a single value then , this will work :
data: wa_partner_h type line of CRMT_OUTPUT_PARTNER_H_COMT.
Read table partner_h into wa_partner_h index 1.
if sy-subrc is initial.
SELECT SINGLE * from BUT000 into I_FS_BUT000 where
PARTNER_GUID = WA_PARTNER_H-RELATION_H.

Loop not working correctly in smartform

Hi Experts,
I have developed a smart form wherein, the import params of form is a table (multiple records).The design of the form is, the first 10 lines is populated with a static text followed by the import table and follwed by a conclusion text. in simple words the design is, in the header a static text (hard coded text) will be populated in the main body an internal table will be populated and in the footer a static text (hard coded text) will be populated.Initially I have created three seperate windows for header, main body and footer, this was working fine for few records (import table) sometimes it happened the records were very huge and table entries over lapped the footer text. How to handle this kind issue? Can we increase the page size dynamically?? and also as per the user requirement the output of the form should have a provision to download the form on thier desktop in word format. Can some one help me in building this functionality.

Hello Mr. Srinivas,
There is no provision to download the form in word format, but if you want to still download the form in real means open smartforms --> Utilities(M) --> download form.
this will download the whole program wahtever you hvae chnge made in this. Make the back copy of form and after edition in form make down load again this form and than find out the differnce. May be this will be helpful. And also if yr loop is not working with smartform. Do write the similar code in yr driver program for the loop this will definetely helpful.
