I have the following xml table. I need to update the Field which name="data"

How do I update the value through java program? I do not want to load the data to database to update the value. The constrain is that i must have the value updated in java application before I loaded it to the database.

Use a DOM parser to parse the xml document...you will get a Document object, which you can use XPath or traverse the DOM tree and perform the updating.

You apparently know what a factorial is. You need to multiply the input by all numbers less than it (except for special case of 0! [but, then, you tell them to enter a number between 1 and 12]).
You don't want your loop to be "while (true)". You can either start at 1 and work your way up to the input number, or start at the input number and work your way down. You may want a 'for' loop instead of a 'while' loop.
In this (and most cases), think about how you would calculate factorials manually. Write it down in English. Then, translate it to code.
You've been working on factorials for a while now. You haven't found the algorithm yet?

trying to get the basic concept of the looping and would figure the

A.class has some procedures and String variables which can be updated and later can be used in JSP pages. The project starts with ARunner.jsp which uses the A.class and updates the values of string variables s0 and s1of A to hi and hello respectively.And then redirects the page to MainUser.jsp.
Now what I want is ,when I call those string variables(s0 & s1 of A.class) in any another jsp likeMainUser.jsp it should give me the value of hi and hello respectively not null as it is giving right now. Could you refine the coding for this one?

Hii all i am developing an portal application in which i display the metadata information related to a document(Stored in UCM) in a popup in my application...
The user can also update the information through the application.

In my BusinessService.java,
I have a String strValue = "%%VALUE%%";
When i ran the build.xml, the strValue is not replaced with the value "1" as been specified in the build.xml. It seems that everything is fine the class file name path, etc. But some how it is not displaying the value "1" inplace of the placeholder? Please clarify.
One more question on this:-
If the value "1" is displayed for strValue variable, and if i have updated the value in the build.xml replace="2" for <replaceregexp>, in such case the updated value "2" wont be populated. Hence what is the approach we need follow, whether we need to create another folder and copy the "src" code there and make the changes in it like instead of:-

When i'm running the program it's taking some time to make the foreach loops in this time i need to show the SplashScreen and update the progressBar untill the foreach loops over.

Don't use Application.Doevents. It's not required and can cause problems.

EDIT: Please note that the progressbar itself is being animated by the system, so it might look slower than it really is. To workaround this, there are solutions available (you'll find them) that first set the value one higher than necessary, then
back to the actual value.
Edit #2: You do need a different thread, otherwise the UI is locked while the loop is running in your Form1's constructor.

I want to update the values under the column TERMINATION_REASON in per_periods_of_placement for few set of contingent workers(for those a wrong reason was entered need to replace with correct value now).

As noted above, RETURN table must be supplied empty, it is for BAPI to return the messages back to the calling program. You simply need to define an internal table, pass it to BAPI as is and then analyze this table after the BAPI call. For example:
DATA: BEGIN OF it_return OCCURS 0.
        INCLUDE STRUCTURE bapiret2.
DATA: END OF it_return.
CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_SHIPMENT_CHANGE'

Basically i may just get one UpdatedEnquiry record with multiple EnquiryStatusLog (changes),
I need to get the EnquiryStatusLog nodes and create a insert stmt with the Enquiry Number.
and if theres multiple <UpdatedEnquiry> nodes, i need the same thing done.
Hope i make sense here.....

My new 8th gen iPod nano is 'not recognized' by my computer. My computer runs on Windows 7, and I've installed and updated the latest versions of itunes etc, but still to no avail! I've tried different usb ports, troubleshooting...

My computer runs on Windows 7, and I've installed and updated the latest versions of itunes etc, but still to no avail! I've tried different usb ports, troubleshooting, etc... But it still says "One of the USB decuces arrached to this omputer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it".
The iPod is brand new, sent to me by Apple as part of the 1st gen replacement programme. I've been using the cable that came with the 1st gen iPod (I bought the first gen second hand) It always worked on my computer with the 1st gen iPod. So I was wondering, do you think I need to replace my cable in order for my PC to recognize my iPod or is it something else?

Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?
