Looping animation not working with Timeline Action...

I've used the Timline Actions Panel a few other times to loop animations by just selecting 'Complete' and then using sym.play(0); to return to the beginning - pretty hard to mess up I thought. I have a new animation where this is just not working at all. Could there be any other reason this is not working or perhaps something I'm just not looking at?

Not sure how much you can see from just that, but inside the Edge comp there's nothing crazy going on. 4 layers, 2 rotating 6 degrees a second, stops at 60 seconds (when it should start back from the beginning). I've tried the usual Timeline Action sym.play(0); on complete and also just adding a trigger at 60 seconds of sym.play(0);
Just can't imagine what else it could be.

Non-loop animation not working.

I am developing a video game for my flash class. This code is not working:

Everything works fine except for this code snippet. The animation should only complete one cycle, instead of repeating. The switch, constrictMovement should break the repeats by turning bear.gotoAndStop("power") off and activating other parts of code with a !constrictMovement.
What am I doing wrong? :/ Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I tried using the trace, there was no response from the problem area. Is there a workaround for bear.bearP.currentFrame = bear.bearP.totalFrames? Here is the pasted code, with unnecessary parts omitted, hopefully you will be able to understand the logic better:

Pause/Play Wav Files Not working with timeline

OK, I'm going crazy here. I have imported a WAV file into my
Flash timeline. I have a button that pauses the timeline, and also
stops all sound. But... when I click on the play button to continue
the movie, the sound is no longer present. It's as if the timeline
only recognizes the first frame of audio, even within the source
file if I put the cursor anywhere besides the first frame of audio,
it does not play.
Any help desperately needed

I almost have you. The code provided, I guess I would put
that on the frame where I redrop my wave file (that I did all the
link changes to as described).
Also, in conjunction with the code provided, do I need to
also put codes in for my buttons, or will that script you provided
take place of such.
Also, the code you provided, am I to put my own information
in there, or is it set to go as is.
I will only have a play button and a stop button. Just a
simple a play and stop action for each. Also, I didn't give an
instance name for each button, just default as is.

HP Laserjet 4 plus not working with Powerbook G4 & 10.5.8

I have been using a Powerbook G4 running 10.4.11 with a HP Laserjet 4 plus without any problems. Last week I updated my G4 to 10.5.8. To acheive this, I purchased a full retail 10.1 DVD from Ebay installed it then updated to 10.5.8 using Apples Update Software feature. I believe all the features of my computer work except printing. Previously I have been using an apple wireless network without any problems.
Now when using 10.5.8 I have tried this:
1) select system preferences
2) then select print & fax
3) then click on the plus sign to add a printer
4) the window that shows up that says default, fax. ip, windows, bluetooth, apple talk, more printers across the top of it.
5) In this window the are two Laserjet 4 plus machines listed. One is listed with Appletalk and one is listed with Bonjour Shared. I only own one machine. I have tried selecting both of them separately and each time the same problem continues to happen.
Each time either of the Laserjet 4 plus printers are selected the "Print Using" pull down menu begins searching for new drivers. The gray circular animation just goes round and round and eventually does not do anything. Obviously something has not installed correctly. Or there is a conflict somewhere that I have not been able to figure out.
I have downloaded and installed the HP Laserjet and Edgeline print-only.mpkg from HP's website. The problem still exists.
A family member in my household is using an Intel MacBook Pro running 10.5.8 with this same HP Laserjet 4 Plus on the same bonjour shared network without any problems. This being the case, I am confident the old HP 4 Plus printer will work with 10.5.8 using an apple wireless network.
Any help would be appreciated.

The HP 4 printer has a JetDirect card in the back of it. The JetDirect card has a 10BaseT ethernet which I connected with an ethernet cable to an airport express base station. The express unit communicates with the main airport unit in my home.
Many years ago I worked for a company that rebuilt macintosh computers and hardware for resale. I rebuilt this HP printer from spare parts and added the JetDirect card at that time and have not had any major problems with the unit until now. It had no problems or printing errors when I was running 10.4.11.
I neglected to mention that after the printer would not work with 10.5.8 I went back and tried to reinstall the optional printer driver package on the original 10.5.1 installation DVD. When this did not work either, I downloaded the HP print driver package available from their website. Could I have somehow screwed this up by installing the incorrect or uncompatible print drivers?

Adobe Photoshop CS5 is not working with Lion.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 is not working with Lion. It is totally non responsive to a point where i cannot work. all other CS5 programs seem to be running well so far. any advice? if no, then how do i revert back to Snow leopard?

I had real problems with all Adobe apps - it said I needed to install a version of Jave Runtime, but kept saying that I wasn't connected to the internet to complete the action. This was not the case - I was connected to the internet.
I followed this link : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421 to install a version of Java and all Adobe apps fire up now. Haven't done much testing within the apps, but at least I'm further ahead than I was.
So thanks to the message boards for helping me out.

Why Does Live View In DW Not Work With BC Template?

The live view using a BC template in DW CS6 shows "PAGE NOT FOUND" in the body section but the header and footer look fine. I should also point out that the index.htm page works fine, it's just the other pages that have this problem. What makes it weirder is that the site works fine in all other modes including when viewing in a normal browser, it's ONLY when in live view! I also noticed that if I delete the .htm extension in the url in the DW browser when in Live View it fixes the problem, but this requires me to do this everytime I want to switch to live view and surely is either a problem with how the BC template files are named or DW CS6 is buggy? Hopefully this is an easy one to answer??

Whay FORALL loop is not Working.....

Debit/Credit Shift not working with report painter

Web Report not working with parameter form

Hi,
I have a report which has got a parameter form. This report is
running fine in client/server environment. But when I deploy the
same report on web (CGI) using PARAMFORM=YES, I am getting the
parameter form and after pressing the SUBMIT button I am getting
a blank report under the following two cases even though I have
data for that query:
CASE1: <input type="hidden" name="desformat" value="html">
then I am getting the report with no data retrieved.
CASE2: <input type="hidden" name="desformat" value="pdf">
then I am getting completely blank report (no logo, no column
titles, etc.)
See the HTML code below. Remember, the same thing is running
fine in client/server environment. Moreover, if I make a HTML-
coded form for the report then everything on the client's
browser is running fine. But this is not what we want, 'coz we
are running the "BEFORE PARAMETER FORM" trigger in the report.
So, should I conclude that web-reports does not work with the
parameter forms?? Is it a bug???

No pal, that's not the problem. The problem lies with the
"BEFORE PARAMETER FORM" report trigger on the web. Check this
out on ur report server and u will understand my problem.

Liquid Layout does not work with extreme long pages

(Solution at the end)
Hi there.
I have a layout for iPad with a width of 1024 and variable height.
I now need an alternative layout for iPad HD. So I try to use liquid layout to alternate my layout to 2048 width and height x 2.
The maximum size in InDesign is 15552px. So I managed to get all my SD layouts below 7776px.
to sum things up:
iPad SD: 1024x7776
transform into
iPad HD: 2048x15552
Problem is, in this case the option to scale everything automatically gets completely ignored.
Another layout, which uses only text and no images, boxes or multimedia gets transformed correctly.
Does anybody have a tip for me how I can work around it?

Aaaand I just got it. Specify a new preset for your document-sizes: 2048x15552. Now if you use the page tool just click the new (in my case) "iPad HD" and choose liquid layout: scale.

I am using Automator to find files with the .pages
extension and then copy them to another folder, which
lists the copied Pages files by name but with Zero
KB! The files will not open - error: the index.xml
file is missing.
Any ideas on how to get a Pages file to copy with
Automator?

To answer the title of your message: no, Pages does not work with Automator.
But that's not really what you're asking. You really want to know how to copy Pages documents using Automator.
To help you we need to know what Actions you're using in Automator and the parameters you're using eg the Filter Finder Items action (using a pages file extension) and the Copy Finder Items actions. Pls let us know how you're doing this and we'll try to help.

When I set looping to 2, it stops after 2, as it should.
All other values, i.e. 1, 3, 4 etc will go on 'forever'.
What's wrong?

This is just a simple exercise.

In the png file, Frames panel, bottom left, where I can set
looping to
any number, including 'forever', I set the looping frequency
in this
case to 1. So I expect it to stop after one movement up into
the right
top corner and return to bottom left.
When I play this in 'original' or in 'preview' in Fireworks,
the
animation moves continuously instead of stopping after one
round. That
is my 'problem'. Or can I not expect this to work while it is
still in png?
When I export it to gif, it works exactly as wanted - once
only.

I have recently upgraded my iMac Intel G5 iSight to OS 10.6.8 and now the internal mic does not work with skype or facebook. I can here static when playing back clips. Do I need to update firmware or reload old sys parts

I have recently upgraded my iMac Intel G5 iSight (iMac5,1) to OS 10.6.8 and now the internal mic does not work with skype or facebook. I can here static when playing back clips. Do I need to update firmware or reload old system parts. I have zapped PRAM. The blue indicator in system audio panel will appear for a second as I slide the bar for internal mic but then it disappears. Is there a fix?

The sound seems very faint but can here static on playback.

My operating system windows XP not working with photoshop cloud, why not?

I need to add 2 more licences for photoshop cloud and I'm being told my operating system windows XP does not work with Photoshop cloud. We already have 2 pcs using it in our office so why not?
