  • Java script needed for premier elements 13

    Which version of java script is needed for Adobe premier elements 13 and for photoshop elements 13 on mac with OS X YOSEMITE?
    And do I have to uninstall previous version of Java script?
    Any help Appreciated.   Thank You.

    There may be, but I have not seen any reference to Java Scripting with regard to Premiere Elements.
    Consequently, you may make better gains posting your thread in the Adobe Photoshop Elements forum since Photoshop Elements is part of your workflow equation and is the most likely path to discovery of documentation in this area.

  • Java Script Needed in Adobe Form

    Hi,
    I have one drop down box and two radio buttons,  and the drop down contains two values for suppose "A" and "B". Now my requirement is when i choose the value "A" in drop down box automatically the first radio button should be selected and when user chooses second value"B" in drop down box then the second radio button should be selected. In which event should i write the java script and what to write. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
    You should write the following code in the "Change" event of the DropDown list.  Make sure you choose 'Javascript' as your scripting language.
    ----- form1.#subform[0].DropDownList1::change - (JavaScript, client) ----------------------
    var val = $.boundItem(xfa.event.newText);  //this will give you the selected DropDown list value.
    RadioButtonList.rawValue = val;  //This will automatically select the specific radio button.
    In this code: "RadioButtonList" is the name of the Radio Button Group.  Make sure the values of the DropDownList Match the Values of your Radio Buttons.
    Hope this helps,
    Harman

  • Javascript alert script needed when calculation does not equal 100

    I have created a fillable form and have a total box which I've set to calulate the sum of Field1, Field2, Field3 and Field4
    which works well.
    I would like to add a javascript alert if the total amount does not add to exactly 100 to stop the user submitting the form or moving to next question.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thank you

    Hi try67,
    I have implemented successfully the following:
    event.value = ''; // clear field
    // get the values of field 1 and 2 as string
    var sField1 = this.getField("field 1").value.toString();
    var sField2 = this.getField("field 2").value.toString();
    // adjust for a field being 100 and the other is null
    if (sField1 == 100 & sField2 == '') sField2 = "0";
    if (sField2 == 100 & sField1 == '') sField1 = "0";
    // do only if field 1 and 2 are not null
    if(sField1 != '' & sField2 != '') {
    event.value = Number(sField1) + Number(sField2);
    if (event.value != 100) app.alert("Fields 1 and 2 must sum to 100!", 1, 0);
    } // end not empty
    Just wondered if you can let me know what I need to add to stop the form being submitted(email submit button) if the amount is not 100?
    So the same alert appears ("Fields 1 and 2 must sum to 100!")
    Currently if the fields exceed or are below 100, then the alert message  ("Fields 1 and 2 must sum to 100!")
    appears once and you can still tab to next field, or click on next field or submit the pdf.
    I was hoping to add validation on submitto be similar to required fields where you are alerted if not filled in and cannot submit until you imputted the correct calculation sum up to 100?

  • Need to enable java script to login to email

    Cannot login to email error message java script needs to be enabled; in prefernces java script is enabled but still can't login to email

    Your question is confusing. JavaScript is a web technology built into browsers; it does not need to be downloaded. Java ( not script) is a different technology which is downloaded from the Oracle website. Neither of them has anything to do with Adobe.
    Can you post exactly what you're downloading, where it's from, what install steps you take, and what messages, if any, you see?

  • Condition verification in java script on Adobe form.

    Hello Experts,
    I am using a interactive forma text element on my view. (java web dynpro)
    It's a simple application. I am trying to figure out how it works with java script.
    I have a text field. which displays employ is sales or production dept
    the values in the data view and its the output element of a BAPI which returns XF,TF,HF and XK,JK,HK
    (record.dept)
    if its XF, TF, HF on the text field in the adobe form should print sales else production.
    I have never used java script on adobe form.
    I figured the strip above the form in adobe designer is used for java script.
    can any one, let me know how I can manipulate.  the record value
    Here is what I am trying record.dept = XF |TF|JF . but i dont know how to run the java script or its syntax.
    Your help is highly appreciated.

    James,
    xfa.host.messageBox should show you an alert dialog box to check data you are getting.
    And yes you are right. You can set the value of textfield using code you mentioned.
    if(record.dept.equalsIgnoreCase("XF")
                 || record.dept.equalsIgnoreCase("TF")
                          record.dept.equalsIgnoreCase("JF"))
       xfa.host.messageBox("The value is Sales");
       <Text-field id>.value = "Sales";
    else
       xfa.host.messageBox("The value is Production");
      <Text-field id>.value = "Production";
    You can even set the texfields to be readOnly, hide some of them etc. But for that I would suggest you going thru the LiveDesigner help. It would solve most of your doubts :-).

    Hello!
    That setting is on this page:
    from within the Browser App, ( > Options > Browser Configuration).
    You may also find that changing, also on that screen, your Browser Identification to another browser might help your BB interact better with some websites.

  • Pop up Window before saving remembering the need (forcing) to fill required fields in a form

    Hi!
    I searched the "old" forum and have very good help from UVSAR but unfortunately I'm not able to access my message sent to that forum anymore.
    [I could never thank all the people who answered because I keep receiving "Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted.""]
    I've have never use Java scripts in my life: I started about three days ago.
    1) I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro X (Windows 7)
    2) I've created a form using Microsoft Word and save it as a pdf file.
    3) After I created a form using Acrobat Pro X;
    3.1.) This form it's not going to be submitted over Internet. It will be send by e-mail to some persons. They will receive it, fill in the form and send it back to me via e-mail. Note: I will save it with extended rights in order to allow to be read with acrobat reader (I'm the only one of the group having Professional edition).
    4) In that form I've created some text fields (for now it's just what I need - no radio buttons, dropdown
    menus, and so...)
    5) Choosed Properties and marked 7 fields as "required";
    6) Used a script I found in here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/784322 (thank you for the authors of the thread)
    if (!event.target.valueAsString) {
    app.alert("My text My text", 3);
    7) This script allows me to remember people to fill that 7 specific fields (when using mouse or tab).
    8) So... What I really need? Here are the reasons for my request for help:
    8.1.) When people use the Acrobat Reader Save button (not a button I created inside the form) it will pop up an alert message. Users will receive a pop up window telling them they need to fill those fields before saving the form and send it back to me. Can someone share a script, please? Thanks in advance.
    8.2.) Is there a way to colorize the fileds that need to be filled? Again I only learned where to insert a java script yestaerday sou I'm not able to write one. I'm sorry for my newbie questions.
    8.3.) Last question: In one of the fields there will be an e-mail address. On the end of the form I want to create a button like "Send by e-mail" and When someone press that button the e-mail will be sent to the address that was written in the earlier specific field. How can I do this (link a button to an e-mail address in a specific field)? Can someone help me with a script or ideas? Hope I was clear.
    8.1.) UVSAR sent me the following code that works fine untill I save the document for the first time. Affter that he never shows me pop up window again.
    var isFilled = true;
    for (var i=0;i < this.numFields;i++){
    var f = this.getNthFieldName(i);
    if (this.getField(f).required && !this.getField(f).valueAsString) isFilled = false;
    if (!isFilled) app.alert("You must complete all the required fields");
    8.3.) With the help of UVSAR I used:
    var mailto = this.getField('emaddr').valueAsString;
    if (mailto!='') this.mailForm({ bUI:true, cTo:mailto, cSubject:"This is the subject", cMsg: "This is the body of
    the mail." });
    else app.alert("Cannot submit form until the email address field is completed");
    but gives me an error (Note: I named the filed with e-mail "emaddr")
    Once again Thank you so very very much to all the kind people who take their time to share knowledge...
    I'm not a native speaker, sorry for some errors
    Best regards
    AC

And wants to have the same 'protection' and message reminders for the end users. Any information, including a script and/or a contact email of experts you can share with me will help tremendously. • Java scripts "network connection was lost" error ???

    Hello... I think I have a problem with Java.... I can't click certain links on pages, or watch vids on Hulu (the vid doesn't even load & no play button). At the bottom of Safari there is a message "# errors occurred in opening this page..." so I follow the directions and go to Window->Activity, and all of the error messages say "The network connection was lost" next to all of the addresses ending in .js (which I think is java script, lol I don't even know) I've been to a site to check to see if Java is working, and it says it's working, and its enabled in my preferences. I've also tried Firefox, Camino, & Flock and still have the same problems. Anyone know how to fix this???

    Hi,
    *"I've also tried Firefox, Camino, & Flock and still have the same problems."*
    Since the issue effects all the browsers....
    Hulu requires the Flash Player plugin. You might benefit from uninstalling your current version then reinstall a new copy.
    Uninstall Flash
    Install Flash
    Then From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
    Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1594
    Make sure Safari is running in 32-bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. *Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.*
    If you still have problems with Safari, go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. If it's a successful launch, then that .plist file needs to be moved to the Trash.
