Lots of errors in update

Hi
after a long time today I tried to update my arch system. I removed bin and sbin and /usr/sbin directories and perform the update. now I get this messy error which I have no idea on how to fix it.

Judging from the output, I think that OP has a system from before that news post you linked and hasn't quite understood the news post correctly.
@jgvr: I think you have missed this news update and haven't read the forums on how to do it, thus ending up with a borked system.
My approach would be to move everything back to where it originally was, then upgrade everything (including AUR packages) except for glibc,bash and filesystem and see how far that gets you first. But as @Scimmia says, if you installation was from before Jan 2013, just re-install the whole thing.

    Well, if you want or need help, it would be a good idea to start with telling us what those errors are.  We're not mind readers.

  • Error in updating ALV field catalog in selection tool for Planning Book

    Hi ,
    I am Implementing BADI  '/SAPAPO/SDP_SELECTOR' to upload Custom Fields Data in Planning Book Selection Window under APO Location Product. These Custom Fields are maintained in Custom Table.So from Table whatever Custom Fields are availabe all the fields needs to be available in for selection. Once selection is done the same data to be uploaded into Planning Book.
    This BADI is working Fine upto 4 fields but if any extra fields are added in the table 'Error in updating ALV field catalog in selection tool' error Pop Up is coming. Here i am using Folloowing Methods
    1). INIT_OBJECT_LIST
    2). F4
    3). LOC_PROD_VALUE_LIST
    Please help on the same if u have any idea or clue.
    Thanks.

    Hi Srinivas!
    Where did you get your implementation from?
    It would be nice if you could debug your code!
    For the F4 method, have you seen this note?
    Note 544904 - Sample source code f.BAdI /SAPAPO/SDP_SELECTOR ('F4'method)
    Also check this note. It contains selection modifications in the BAdI:
    Note 376902 - SDP selector: Basis corrections for BADI
    I do not know your release and support package in your SCM, but you can find a lot of notes related to this BAdI.
    Thank you!

  • Error in updating to iOS 8.1.1 for iPhone 6

    I am trying to update my iPhone 6+ with the new iOS 8.1.1 but evertime I try, after verifying an error message that says there is an error in updating comes out. How do I go about this?

    Hi there Carlo,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    What is the exact alert message that you see when you run into the issue updating your iPhone 6 to iOS 8.1.1? Take a look at the article linked below, it provides a lot of great information that’ll resolve most update and restore issues in iTunes.

    Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
    The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
    However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
    I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
    However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
    So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

  • Error while updating infocube

    Dear bw gurus,
    I have encountered a load problem. The source is a DSO and the target is Infocube. When i execute the DTP (DSO->Infocube), it hits an error. There is no error log and nothing in the error stack. The error from the monitor was right after the data package execution saying 'Error while updating Infocube XXX'.
    I tried to check tcode SM21 and ST22. No system log and short dump at all. I have tried to run in debug mode (Simulation), nothing is wrong with the transformation (start and end routine) code
    Appreciate if you can provide me some hints on this. I hope to resolve this as soon as possible. I need to get this cube loaded for the UAT in 3 days time.
    Thanks.

    Hi Krishna,
    I have checked the Background job, no error at all. This error is at the updating level. Thanks!
    Hi Sri
    We are using support package level 0017 (SAPKW70017). Can i know what issues you have for DTPs? Is it the same issue?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    Dianna

  • Error after update : "Method 'Upgrade' does not have an implementation"

    Hello,
    After installing the last Updates for my SharePoint Farm 2013, I ran into an issue. When I try to connect to the site, I get this error :
    Method 'Upgrade' in type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowServices.WorkflowServiceApplicationProxy'
    from assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowServices, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
    PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' does not have an implementation.
    And there is a lot of strange behaviours within my farm. I cannot run a psconfig, the services FIMService
    and FIMSynchronizationService cannot start, I can see the category "Office 365" in Central Administration but I have a SharePoint Server 2013, not online or any 365 thing... And I cannot uninstall previous SharePoint Updates...
    Any idea ?
    Thanks in advance for your answer.
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    If you are using SharePoint 2013 Server edition, please re-download the
    SharePoint Server 2013 SP1(KB2880552) instead of SharePoint Foundation version, then install it on the server and check results again, here is another post with similar
    issue you can take a look.

  • Avoiding concurrency errors when updating a database through AJAX

    What are some strategies for avoiding concurrency errors when updating a database through AJAX. That is, in cases where a given user could attempt to modify the same row in the database with simultaneous requests (say, that he updates one column with information with an AJAX call, then immediately submits a form that updates the same row), what are some good ways yo prevent the two updates from colliding? On the JavaScript side one might make the AJAX call synchronous, but I question whether that is the best way to do it. Has anyone else confronted this?

    Well, since no one seems to have any ideas so far, I'll throw in my two cents worth.
    I'm not too familiar with AJAX so my advice may be limited.
    I suggest you do a google search on Optimistic concurrency database to get some ideas on how to handle it.
    If your update/insert/delete query is thread safe, then even if the same user double clicks the button fast enough to immediately have another update to the same record, then the first update will complete before the second one is carried out. Therefore no harm is done since he is just updating the same record. Since a typical update/insert/delete takes only a few milliseconds (querying may take a lot more time), its not likely he can click the button that fast. (I assume your using connection pooling for speed).
    The trouble comes up when two people call up data from the same record in different browsers. The first one updates/inserts/deletes the record. Now the other user is looking at old data. When he updates/inserts/deletes, there is a problem. One way to handle this is to keep a copy of all the fields from that record in each user's session scope when they first fetch it from the database (example: oldName). Then when you go to update some time later, to this:
    sql= update person set name=newValue where personID=3344 and name=oldName
    Note oldName is from session scope.
    If name in the database has changed, the update will not occur and will return 0 records updated. If it didn't change, it will update.
    Note your update function should not throw an exception if it cant update, it should return false. Return true if it worked.
    Example: public boolean updateName(String name)
    Similiarly, your insert should not throw an exception if the record already exists, it should return false meaning it cant insert.
    Exaple: public bolean insertName(String name). Same thing with delete function.
    If a record cant be updated due to someone else updating the record while the user was looking at data, return a message that it wasn't updated due to that problem. Then show the user the new value in the database ask him if he wants to overwrite the new change.
    Note even if you show 100 records on the JSP, only update the ones that have changed and not all 100. This way, its not likely he has updated the same records someone else has altered. Less likely a colision compared to updating all 100.
    If your updating/inserting/deleting more than 1 record (say, 3), then you should look into setting up a transaction in addition to all the above and rolling back all of them if one fails.
    Reading the section on databases from http://www.javapractices.com/home/HomeAction.do may also help.

    System.err.println(sqle);
    System.err.println(sqle.getMessage());
    System.err.println(""+sqle.getErrorCode());

    Thanks for replying
    This is what I get:
    java.sql.SQLException:[Microsoft][odbc Microsoft Access Driver]
    Let me give you more background information. I am new in JDBC and is learning it by going through the examples in "JDBC API Tutorial and Reference 2nd Ed." published by SUN. I am using sdk1.31 (and have also tried sdk1.4) with Microsoft Access 2000. The demo program I am working with is trying to update a ResultSet programmatically using updateXXX().
    scrolling and row deletion using rs.delete() are ok.
    Here are my connection statements:
    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
              connection = DriverManager.getConnection(sourceURL);
              statement = connection.createStatement(     ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE,
                                                                ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);

    I also get error while updating the content in workflow thru the checkout option as reviewer. i.e. contributor checks in the content - then reviewer either updates the metadata or checks out and modifies the content and while checking in the following error occurs
    Content Server Request Failed
    Unable to update the content item information for 'HO000128'.
    The content ID must be specified.
    Please help to resolve.
