LSMW-direcr input program
Hello LSMW experts,
i am trying to create MM SALES view through
Direct input method of LSMW using Program
RMDATIND with method 20 and program type as D.
At the end of last steps when we say
Start direct input program, it gives two options to start
1.Program RMDATIND
2.Transaction BMV0
what is the difference between these two.
How to track errors generated while creating
the view in above scenario.
can we run the same program in batch input session?
if yes then how?
Please dont post any links.
Valuable posts will be rewarded accordingly.
thanks alot for your help in advance.
Hi Santosh ,
Could you please provide me the detail steps.....
how to use BMV0 transactions and how to get the error log file ????
it will be really help full to me thanks in advance.

Edited by: SANTOSH MARUPALLY on Jan 22, 2008 6:27 AMHi Santosh
Am not really sure if RV14BTCI can not be used for other applications apart from V and M.
You can try using BAPI: BAPI_PRICES_CONDITIONS. Over the forum you can find few example coding.

LSMW Direct Input Custom Program
Hi All,
I have been trying to set up a custom (Z Program) for direct input method for LSMW. So far I have dicovered that it can be achieved by modifing SXDA0-3 tables.
Has anyone achieved this successfully? Any example (even the simplest one) or step by step help would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
~MarkYes, it does appear that this table contains the data which gives the structures names of the structures used in direct input programs.
Documentation for LSMW is limited, but here are some links.

LSMW Standard Batch Input Program
Hi,
I have one requirement on creating BOM.
I have to upload data from legacy system to SAP for T-Code ' CS01'
I have to use the Standard Batch input Program 'RCSBI010'.
I have source structure and Target Structure.
In Source structure i have Header and item data.
In Header i have 11 fields and in Item i have 23 fields.
In Target Structure i have upto 130 fields.
In the Standard program who have 4 structures and each structure have fields.
So How many fields i have to map with Standard structure. and in my source structure i dont have the fields like T-code, session name, user name, and xkeep.
So how to pass these fields (T-code, session name, user name, and xkeep) to the standard structure. and is it necessary to pass these fields to the standard batch input program.
Advance thanks,
Kumar AHi,
Hi,
Record type 0: one session record (structure BGR00) per session..
The session header contains general administrative data on the batch input session to be created. All records that follow the header in the sequential file are assigned to the current session, until the next header occurs in the file.
Record type 1: one session record (structure BICSK) for each BOM
The BOM header record contains the transaction code (for example, CS01 Create material BOM) and the header data
Record type 2: one item record (structure BICSP) per item
All BOM item records are assigned to the preceding BOM header, until the next BOM header or session header occurs in the sequential file
Record type 3: one sub-item record (structure BICSU) per sub-item
All BOM sub-item records are assigned to the preceding BOM item, until the next item header, BOM header, or session header occurs in the sequential file
and x-line which will be used as index while retreiveing
and the file to be imported should contain values in this format
BGR00 data will be in first line (0-stype)
BICSK in second line (1 stype)
BICSP in 3rd line
BICSU in 4th line
e.g:
0 sessname 800
1 CS01 123
2 values req
3 values req
Hope this gives u some idea...

Hi
What is the procedure to include a specific program / report in the drop down box of program name of Direct Input method in LSMW?
What is the diff. between Physical path and Logical path?
How can we give our input data using logical path when we execute some standard batch or direct input programs?
Ex. RMDATIND.http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/87/f3ae63e68111d1b3ff006094b944c8/frameset.htm

Standard Batch Input Programs for Profit Center Creation
Dear all;
I am in 4.0B version that doesnt have BAPI_PROFITCENTER_CREATE. Writing a BDC for this would be complicated as my data is compiled in a different way.
Are there any Standard Batch Input Programs for Profit Center Creation ?Hi Srivathsan,
You can make use of Standard BAPI by LSMW.
Business Object BUS1116 Profit Center Group
Method CREATE Create
Message Type PROFITCENTERGROUP_CREATE

XK99 lsmw or BDC program to copy vendors doesn´t update db records
Hello people
I am facing a requirement to copy a list of existing vendors into about 10 new company codes. Vendors all exist in the "main" company code, so I figured it would be a good idea to use the XK99 transaction as a basis for a mass upload via lsmw or bdc program.
So
So I performed a recording and applied my logic in lsmw, ran the batch input folder in SM35, seemingly without errors. But to my srprise I saw that no database records had been created in the LFB1 table.
So I tried to incorporate the recording into a bdc program that uses call transaction, but the same thing happens. The batch input seems to be running OK, but no changes are actually made to db....
So I was wondering what could I be doing wrong? I notice one strange thing though. After carrying out the selections in XK99 manually, one needs to mark columns to be transfered and then push the ´Perform mass update´ button and THEN click save. However, when in recording mode, one may click save directly, and no error is given and the recording ends.
However, the select columns operation, if I try to do it during recording, doesnt seem to get captured....
Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong here?
Regards, Jorgen

first of all Transaction XK99 is more helpful in case of vendor change, not really creation.
It was also intended to cover mass maintenance so it is used instead of LSMW or any other BDC custom program.
I would say that you can go either with LSMW or CALL TRANSACTION custom program, but you should base your recording on XK/FK01 transactions.

Net Price Calculation Error in LSMW(Direct Input)
Hi,
i am using LSMW-Direct Input method for Creating Purchase Order .i am facing Problem like Quantity Conversion error in Net Price Calculation.
Any one please help me out.
Regards,
Shobha HenryBest practice would be to use BAPI/ALE method instead of direct input but if you've already done with the mapping etc. try putting a break point in the generated LSMW program where the net price is calculated and transferred to SAP field and then run it to see in the debugger what's going on. I reckon its possibly a type compatibility error.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,

LSMW(Direct Input) Material master issues
Hi,
I have few issues on Material master-LSMW(Direct Input-RMDATIND) data upload(creating materials).
1. Can i upload excel sheet for uploading data! What option i have to choose in 'specify files' for this!
2. I am using fields MBRSH, MTART, MAKTX, MEINS, BISMT, MATKL, MAGRV for mapping.
But when i tried to upload in last step-start direct input program with Lock Mode-'N' it is giving error as
'Plant data does not exist'. Because this is for 'Basic Data' i though no need to input plant.
3. MATNR field is not needed for creation right as it is auto generated!
4. I have to do seperate object for this project for 'Sales organization data' & Plant Data is there any checks needed for the same!
Can anybody give solutions for the above!
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Deep.1. Now i am trying to process 4 records it is creating 3 records.
It is always skipping 1st record in flat file.
Any check required!
2. Also i want to write a output file(log file) to my presentation/application server with all material no's created & material descriptions. Where can i do the same!
3. Can anybody tell me how to upload using excel sheet.
Thanks,
Deep.

LSMW- Batch Input session getting error
Hi All,
I created LSMW object for Tcode KO01 and its creating the Internal order as expceted. But even after creating the document the Batch Input session status is showing incorrect. No messages are also displayed in the log.
Please let me know why this is happening.
Thanks in Advance,
SavithaHi,
Detail Error Message is as follows:
No batch input data for screen SAPLIMR0 1110
Message no. 00344
Diagnosis
The transaction sent a screen that was not expected in the batch input session and which therefore could not be supplied with data.
Possible reasons:
1. The batch input session was created incorrectly. The sequence of screens was recordly incorrectly.
2. The transaction behaves differently in background processing in a batch work process than when running in dialog (SY-BATCH is queried and changes the screen sequence).
3. The transaction has undergone user-specific Customizing and therefore certain screens may be skipped or processed differently, according to the current user. If the person who created a batch input session is not the same as the person now processing it, this problem may occur frequently.
System Response
None.
Procedure
For 1: Either re-create the session or process it in expert mode. Correct the batch input program.
For 2. It is very difficult to analyze this problem, particularly in the case that the screen sequence or the display-only options of fields differ according to whether the transaction is being processed in the background or as an online dialog. It could also be that this kind of transaction cannot run with batch input.
For 3: Have the creator of the session process it. If no error occurs now, then this is a program with user-specific Customizing.

LSMW - Direct Input - Sales order - item text
Hi,
I'm having a problem similar to the problem posted by Laurent Guilloteau on 2/3/2006 titled:
LSMW - Direct Input - Sales order - item texts
While this thread shows the issue as being answered, I'm not clear on what action to take.
I'm using an LSMW with program RVINVB10 to load sales orders to SAP.
I'm successfully loading the orders, including header level text, however the item text is not showing on the order.
I have source structures defined as follows:
Source Structures
REC1 VBAK - Header
REC4 VBPA - Order Partners
REC6 BTEXHKOM - Header Text Header
REC7 BTEXLKOM - Header Text Lines
REC2 VBAP - Order Items
REC8 BTEXHKOM - Item Text Header
REC9 BTEXLKOM - Item Text Lines
REC3 VBEP - Order Schedule Lines
In actions 'Read Data' and 'Convert Data', I see text for the two text structures, at the header and item level. But after execution of Direct Input program, I don't see text in at the item level of the sales order, however I do see text at the header level.
Does anyone have any insight on what's causing the item level text not to show on the order?
Best regards,
StuartHi all,
Many thanks for the suggestions. One of our expert developers got involved and provided the solution.
In order to have item level text populate, the VBAP-PSTYV (the sales document item category) field also needs to be populated. The VBAP-PSTYV field value is dependent on the sales document type. (Or, at least it is for the configuartion set up in my example) The sales document type is VBAK-AUART.
Stuart
