LSMW load a file with different record format

anyone can help me out here?
I am trying to load a file which has exactly same record format except for the first line, and the first line is not neglectable. If i want to load this file to SAP within one LSMW load, is it feasible?
thanks in advance.

LSMW records fields screen by screen.  When you have recorded your LSMW, the country code, company code and personnel area are in the first screen.  So, this data must be on every line of your data file.
Example of how your data file should be:
Country     CoCd      Pers.Area         Field1DataLine1          Field2DataLine1         ...
Country     CoCd      Pers.Area         Field1DataLine2          Field2DataLine2         ...
Country     CoCd      Pers.Area         Field1DataLine3          Field2DataLine3         ...

  • Reading fixed length file with different record types

    Hi,
    I need to read a fixed-length file with different record types, but the record identifier is in 31st position and not in 1st position.
    But if I give 31 as position in File adpater wizard, BPEL takes whole 1-31 as identifier.
    How we need to read such files.
    Thanks

  • Loading Hex Files with multiple records with each line starting with : record marker, how do I load this hex file into a front panel table ? thanks in advance, Jeff.

    I have written a routine that loads a Hex file, checks for record marker,length,address etc then loads the data into a table on front panel. However, my routine only loads single record hex files. I need to be able to load multiple record files, I need to identify the ':' colon record marker start for each record in the hex file, I just can't see how to loop my routine so that all records with ':' prefix marker are loaded.

    Jeff,
    I'm not exactly sure of what you are trying to do. Is it possible you could post your code, or a screen shot of the diagram in question, so that I can get a better understanding, and possibly offer some assistance?
    I am familiar with hex files, but not with the : marker separating records. This may be able to be solved with simple text parsing, and as I am not familiar with how you are retrieving and/or displaying the files, I require more information.
    Thanks

    Note that the dev machine is x64 Win7.
    I have not tried deploying this to staging since the issue started as I'm a bit nervous of touching the staging/live environment until this is solved.
    Removing the PlatformTarget element from the project file has no effect
    Removing the msshrtmi.dll file from the bin directory of the website project ends up with
    'Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.WindowsFabric.Common, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified'
    I have used Git to revert to the last working build to no effect (But I don't have the obj/bin folders in GIT), but it has atleast reset the project files etc.
    If I return msshrtmi.dll to the bin folder and switch the model and website projects to x64 there is no change
    If I switch both to x86 then I get an error Could not load file or assembly 'BekoModel2011' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.
    which is the model project - presumably because to run on my x64 machine I need the 64bit version?
    I really need to be able to debug and then publish some changes ASAP.

    Hi,
    Is it true that you're using IIS to host the application? Could you check whether the process is x64 or x86 one via task manager or config in IIS manager?

  • SSIS project - read multiple flat files with different formats

    hi all,
    i need to import multiple flat files with different formats into different tables of the sql server database and not able to figure out the best way out in ssis to do so...
    please advise the possible methods in ssis to do so and if possible the process which can be dynamic as file names or columns might change in future.

    Hi AK1987,
    To import flat files with dynamic columns, we can use Script Task inside a Foreach Loop Container to parse the first row of the flat file to get the columns names and save them into a .NET variable, then, we can create “Create Table” script based on this
    variable, and then store the script into a SSIS package variable. After that, we create a staging table based on the package variable, load the flat file data to the staging table. Eventually, we load data from the staging table to the destination table. For
    the detail steps, please walk through the following blog:

  • How to load unicode data files with fixed records lengths?

    Hi!
    To load unicode data files with fixed records lengths (in terms of charachters and not of bytes!) using SQL*Loader manually, I found two ways:
    Alternative 1: one record per row
    SQL*Loader control file example (without POSITION, since POSITION always refers to bytes!)<br>
    LOAD DATA
    CHARACTERSET UTF8
    LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR
    INFILE unicode.dat
    INTO TABLE STG_UNICODE
    TRUNCATE
    A CHAR(2) ,
    B CHAR(6) ,
    C CHAR(2) ,
    D CHAR(1) ,
    E CHAR(4)
    ) Datafile:
    001111112234444
    01NormalDExZWEI
    02ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö
    03ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö
    04üüüüüüÖÄxµôÔµ Alternative2: variable length records
    LOAD DATA
    CHARACTERSET UTF8
    LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR
    INFILE unicode_var.dat "VAR 4"
    INTO TABLE STG_UNICODE
    TRUNCATE
    A CHAR(2) ,
    B CHAR(6) ,
    C CHAR(2) ,
    D CHAR(1) ,
    E CHAR(4)
    ) Datafile:
    001501NormalDExZWEI002702ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö002604üuüüüüÖÄxµôÔµ Problems
    Implementing these two alternatives in OWB, I encounter the following problems:
    * How to specify LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR?
    * How to suppress the POSITION definition?
    * How to define a flat file with variable length and how to specify the number of bytes containing the length definition?
    Or is there another way that can be implemented using OWB?
    Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Carsten.

    Hi Carsten
    If you need to support the LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR clause in an external table then one option is to use the unbound external table and capture the access parameters manually. To create an unbound external table you can skip the selection of a base file in the external table wizard. Then when the external table is edited you will get an Access Parameters tab where you can define the parameters. In 11gR2 the File to Oracle external table can also add this clause via an option.
    Cheers

  • How can i compare two excel files with different no. of records.

    Hi
    I am on to a small project that involves us to compare two excel files. i am able to do it but am struck up at a point. When i compare 2 different .csv files with different no. of lines i am only able to compare upto a point till when the number of lines is same in both the files.
    Eg. if source file has 8 lines and target file has 12 lines. The difference is displayed only till 8 lines and the remaining 4 lines in source lines are not shown.
    Can you help me in displaying those extra 4 lines in source file. I am attaching my code snippet below..
    while (((strLine = br.readLine()) != null) && ((strLine1 = br1.readLine())) != null)
                     String delims = "[;,\t,,,|]";
                    String[] tokens = strLine.split(delims);
                    String[] tokens1 = strLine1.split(delims);
                   if (tokens.length > tokens1.length)
                    for (int i = 0; i < tokens.length; i++) {
                        try {
                            if (!tokens.equals(tokens1[i])) {
    System.out.println(tokens[i] + "<----->" + tokens1[i]);
    out.write(sno + " \t" + lineNo1 + " \t\t" + tokens[i] + "\t\t\t\t" + tokens1[i]);
    out.println();
    sno++;
    } catch (Exception exception)
    out.write(sno + " \t" + lineNo1 + " \t\t" + tokens[i] + "\t\t\t\t" + "");
    out.println();
    Thanks & Regards

    A CSV file is not an Excel file.
    But apart from that your logic makes no sense.
    If the 2 files are of different sizes the files are different by definition, so further comparison isn't needed, you're done.
    If you want to compare individual records, you need to compare all records from one file with all records from the other, unless the order of records is important in which case your current system might work.
    That system however is overly complicated for comparing CSV files.
    As you assume a single record per line, and if one can assume those records to have identical layout (so no leading or trailing whitespace in or between columns in one file that's not in the other) comparing records is simply a matter of comparing the entire lines.

  • XML file with different format

    Hello
       I have a requirement where the customer needs XML file with different format.  How do I achieve the second format mentioned below instead of first format.
    Normally we create the XML file in the following format:
    - <Entries>
        - <Organization>
            <MemberName>0000000002</MemberName>
            <FullName>BAY GYNECOLOGICAL ASSOCIATES</FullName>

            <OrgType>CUST</OrgType>
       - <AssociatedToOrg>
            <Name>0002</Name>
       - </AssociatedToOrg>

    Now the customer wants like the following format:
    <Organization MemberName="522_Community_Customer" FullName="522 Community Customer" OrgId="DEA123456" OrgIdType="DEA" >

  • How to call sql loader ctrl file with in the pl/sql procedure

    Hi Friends,
    I am doing a project related with the transferring data using queues. In the queue , I will get a tab delimited data in the form of CLOB variable/message. I do want to store that dat in the oracle table.
    When updating data into the table ,
    1. Don't want to write that data into a file.( Want to access directly after dequeueing from the specfic queue).
    2. As the data is in tab delimited form, I want to use sql loader concept.
    How do I call the sql loader ctrl file with in my pl/sql procedure. When I searched , most of the forums recommending external procedure or Java program.
    Please Guide me on this issue. my preferrence is pl sql, But don't know about external procedure . If no other way , I will try Java.
    I am using oracle 9.2.0.8.0.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vimal..

    Neither SQL*Loader nor external tables are designed to read data from a CLOB stored in the database. They both work on files stored on the file system. If you don't want the data to be written to a file, you're going to have to roll your own parsing code. This is certainly possible. But it is going to be far less efficient than either SQL*Loader or external tables. And it's likely to involve quite a bit more code.
    The simplest possible thing that could work would be to use something like Tom Kyte's string tokenization package to read a line from the CLOB, break it into the component pieces, and then store the different tokens in a meaningful collection (i.e. an object type or a record type that corresponds to the table definition). Of course, you'll need to handle things like converting strings to numbers or dates, rejecting rows, writing log files, etc.

    First I've underline a Phrase in your Question did you mean underlying A4-format?
    Are both PDF Files created with A4-Format? If yes then:
    Did you shift orientation to Portriat Format for the item(s) that you need, such as a Chart or an excel Document? If so:
    Then when the documents are meged  They should print correctly.

  • SSIS - Import Multiple flat files with different metadata

    Hi ,
    I have set of flat files with different metadata structure, I would like to load them into staging tables.
    1. ) Can we load the flatfiles into the staging tables with out having multiple data flow task.
    2.) If possible , can we programmatically select the staging table based on the metadata of the flatfile and load them.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Thiya

    Nope in SSIS a data flow task needs to have a fixed metadata. So if your file metadata varies then best option would be use OPENROWSET syntax to pull the data and populate into your staging table. You may also use
    SELECT .. INTO StagingTable ... FROM OPENROWSET (...)
    syntax to create staging table at runtime based on the file metadata
    http://sqlmate.wordpress.com/2012/08/09/use-your-text-csv-files-in-your-queries-via-openrowset/
    If you want to do this in SSIS you need to create data flow dynamically using script task and build the metadata

    This problem appears to be ongoing 5 years after this thread was started. I have just run into it.
    When WiX builds a custom action, the build proceeds as normal and produces a managed code output, say MyCustomActions.dll. Windows Installer doesn't support managed code in custom actions, so the managed code has to be wrapped in an unmanaged native code
    wrapper, so in a post-build step, it injects the managed output into the unmanaged wrapper and _that_ then becomes the project's build output and will be named MyCustomActions.CA.dll. I believe that Code Contracts may be trying to open the unmanaged wrapper
    file and discovering that it is not managed code ("invalid format").
    In order for CCRewrite to work here, it would need to run on the managed code _before_ it gets wrapped in the unmanaged wrapper. I am not sure how we can hook into the build process to get that to happen.
    It might be possible to somehow make a WiX Custom Action project by creating a standard C# class library, which would work correctly with CCRewrite, then somehow performing the WiX packaging as a post-build step. I'm not sure what is required though, exactly.
    Any ideas?

  • Flat File with multiple record types (OWB 10.2.0.2)

    Hi!
    I`m using OWB 10.2.0.2 and I`m trying to load a flat file with multiple record types, using SQL LOADER.
    In the flat file editor in the Record tab, I`ve set the type values and the corresponding record names like this:
    Type Value Record Name
    ======== ===========
    T TRAILER
    0 DETAILS
    1 DETAILS
    2 DETAILS
    When using this flat file in a mapping to load the data in a staging table, the generated code looks like this:
    INTO TABLE TRAILER
    TRUNCATE
    REENABLE DISABLED_CONSTRAINTS
    WHEN (1:1) = 'T'
    INTO TABLE DETAILS
    APPEND
    REENABLE DISABLED_CONSTRAINTS
    WHEN (1:1) = '0,1,2'
    The above clause (WHEN (1:1) = '0,1,2') is wrong as I expect one "INTO TABLE..." clause for each record type.
    Could this be a bug or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks a lot for your help,
    Yorgos

    We`re using two target tables, one for the trailer record and the other for the details records.
    We are facing this problem from the moment we upgraded from OWB 10.1 to OWB 10.2.0.2, so we think it must be something with the way the sql loader code is generated in the new version.
    As our data sources are mainly flat files coming from mainframes, this is a huge problem for us. We even asked an expert in DW from Oracle to help us on this, but still haven`t found a solution.
    Is there any workaround for this or should we forget sql loader and go with an external tables + custom PL/SQL code solution?
    Your help is greatly appreciated Jean-Pierre.

  • 32 bit Application calling 32 bit DLL "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)"

    Hi,
    I am developing an application in visual c# which loads few DLLs.
    While loading the DLLs I am getting this error
    "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)"
    Strange thing for me is that I don't get this error always. In most of the cases when I uninstall the application and reboot my PC again when I install again then problem is solved for few days.
    I have followed several threads all suggests that This error comes either "64 bit exe tries to load 32 dll" or "32 bit exe tries to load 64 bit dll". In my case i made sure that both the
    exe and dll are 32 bit.
    In Project property I selected Platform and Platform target to x86. But the problem still occurs.
    Some body please suggest some solutions and why this problem occur.
    Thanks
    Sujeet.

    Hi,
    How do you load the DLLs? I assume you get an exception and do not call the LoadLibrary API function directly. The latter just returns NULL (Intptr.Zero) if you load a library with the wrong bitness. However, in this case, I do not get error 11 (= 0xB =
    ERROR_BAD_FORMAT), but I get error 193 (= ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT), so I think something else is going on on your machine.
    So, do you get an exception, and which one? Can you catch and examine it? Does it provide details about which library can not be loaded?
    An option is using
    Process Explorer to find out which library can not be loaded by looking at which libraries are being accessed most recently.
    Another option is using Windbg.exe (from the Windows Debugging Tools). By default, it outputs all loaded modules so that the last one your application tries to load should be listed there, too. It should even be listed if it fails to load; at least that
    was the case in my tests.
    Sometimes, if no path is specified for the dll file, the dll can be loaded from the current directory. So depending on what happened at runtime before the library is being loaded, the current directory could have been changed so that you can get variable
    results during debugging.
    When you are saying "when I uninstall the application", do you mean your own application on your own PC? Does the problem (also) happen during debugging inside Visual Studio?

  • Streaming files with different folders

    Hi
    i am new to FMS4 and i am having a problem playing some files with different folders.
    i have different folders in C:\media3\feeds
    in that directory i have folder "1", "2" and "3"
    other words C:\media3\feeds\1
    C:\media3\feeds\2
    C:\media3\feeds\3
    in config folder i changed fms.ini
    VOD_DIR = C:\media3\feeds\
    and
    VOD_COMMON_DIR = C:\media3\feeds\
    i only got the f4v files to work in C:\media3\feeds\ which link is rtmp://localhost/vod/mp4:testfile.f4v
    so i tired to have some folders in C:\media3\feeds\ like mention above
    i tried to put <Streams>/;<C:\media3\feeds\1</Streams> in Applications.xml file in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 4\applications\vod
    and used rtmp://localhost/vod/1/mp4:testfile.f4v
    here is piece of the App file
    <Application>
    <StreamManager>
    <VirtualDirectory>
          <!-- Specifies application specific virtual directory mapping for recorded streams.   -->
    <Streams>/;${VOD_COMMON_DIR}</Streams>
    <Streams>/;${VOD_DIR}</Streams>
    <Streams>/;<C:\media3\feeds\1</Streams>
    <Streams>/;<C:\media3\feeds\2</Streams>
    </VirtualDirectory>
    nothing worked
    can some one help me with this??

    If you are using
    VOD_DIR = C:\media3\feeds\ or VOD_COMMON_DIR = C:\media3\feeds\
    and having files in folder "1" which is under "C:\media3\feeds\"
    then you URI should be rtmp://localhost/vod/mp4:1/testfile.f4v (where testfile.f4v is present under C:\media3\feeds\1)
    If you are using
    <Streams>/;C:\media3\feeds\1</Streams>
    <Streams>/;C:\media3\feeds\2</Streams>
    Then your URI should be rtmp://localhost/vod/mp4:testfile.f4v  (where testfile.f4v is present under C:\media3\feeds\1 or C:\media3\feeds\2)
    Also please note in your configuration which you have specified
    <Streams>/;<C:\media3\feeds\1</Streams><Streams>/;<C:\media3\feeds\2</Streams>
     please remove "<" in "<C:\media3\feeds\1" and "<C:\media3\feeds\2"
