LSMW with Header-Detail concept

Hi All,
How does Header-detail concept work in LSMW. Could anyone please help me with that?
If I have two files with one file has some information from the legacy system and the other file serves as a look up table, can header-detail concept be used to do a lookup for the SAP value from the lookup table?
The two files could be
First File (three fields)
PERNR LegacyDeductionCode Amount
Second File: (two fields)
LegacyDeductionCode SAPWageTypeNo

use the first method (Direct Input)

In structure relations u can find header and line itemas.
before that define 2 structures.

LSMW Issues (Header/Detail)

Hi All,
I am trying to upload Sales Orders in SAP (VA01) using LSMW Batch Input Recording Method. Here are couple of issues I am having, I have a lot of threads on similar issues but have not gotten the answer.
I have two files, one with header data and one with line item data. I have defined two structure "Header" and then "Detail" at it's subordinate level. I have defined a field Field called "OrderNum" as the first field for both structures. In both data files I have OrderNum as the first field. In a test scenario I have one header record in the header file and four line items in the Line item file.
-- I can see that LSMW is correctly reading the data from the files but it is taking it as two different transactions instead of Header and Detail.
-- Also, it passes through the first screen and goes into the VA01 main screen but then complains about "No batch input data for SAPMV_ _ _ and then stays there till I manually exit out.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing it? Also, how's header and detail data handled? How do you handle it in LSMW?
Any ideas/suggestions will be great.

Procedure for creating Recording in LSMW with header data and line item

Hello Friends,
I have to do the Initial Upload of Model Service specification using LSMW ( Recording).
Transaction : ML10
The problem i am facing is that i have been given 2 files one with HEADER data and the other with LINE ITEM(Service data).
Can we use the RECORDING method to upload 2 files?
If not possible how do we proceed.

Details of the BAPI used in this scenario:
Business Object: BUS2012
Method: CreateFromData
Details of Message Type and Basic IDoc Type:
Message Type: PORDCR
Basic IDoc Type: PORDCR02
Letu2019s have a look at the BAPI first, before proceeding to the LSMW:
1.     Go to Transaction BAPI
2.     Click on Search Button
3.     Enter the value u201CBUS2012u201D and select u201CObj.type(Technical Object Nameu201D
4.     Press ENTER
5.     Following screen appears:
6.     On the left side of the screen, Expand the u201CPurchaseOrderu201D.
7.     Select u201CPurchaseOrderu201D and double-click on the same for details.
Building LSMW using BAPI:
1. Go to Transaction LSMW.
2. Enter the Project, Subproject and Object information and click on CREATE.
3. Enter the descriptions for Project, Subproject and Object as prompted.
4. Now select Settings à IDoc Inbound Processing
5. u201CIDoc Inbound Processingu201D screen appears. Enter the required details as shown below:
6. Click on u201CActivate IDoc Inbound Processingu201D.

Select u201CLower Levelu201D and click on Continue. Enter the Item data structure name.
Click Save and hit BACK button to go to the main screen.

Click on the structure name to get the field level values.

Fixed width file outgoing with header,detail and trailer in one map

we have a scenario where in we have to create an output file. the file is fixed width with three different kinds of records namely header, details and trailer. if the specification of the metadata of the file is specified how will we incorporate the creation of the file in one map since the map produces only one call to UTL_FILE and writes it.
there is a work around in a crude way where in we can define the file as a CSV and pass everything in an appanded string in one column. but i wanted to know how we can get the three logical records in one map..

The problem is not with generating the records.. i mean header , detail and trailer.
it is how we put them into a fixed width sampled file. if we look at the code generated we will see only one call being made to generate the file.

How to NOT display header details in every page when printed with PLD

I am printing a report of all related activities of a business partner using PLD. in the printout the header details of business partner such as name, phone details are printing in every page along with contents. how to avoid this situation printing the header details in everypage except first page?

Hi,
Add a formula field to the page header. The formula field will need to contain the following text on the Content tab.
CurrentPage()
Add another formula field, once again add the following to the Content tab
Field_101=='1'
in the example above, Field_101 is the field id for the first formula field you added.
Now all you need to do is link the fields that you only want printed on the 1st page to the 2nd formula field you added.

Project ID with max of 10 char to Name the data transfer project.
Subproject Used as further structuring attribute.
Object ID with max of 10 Characters, to name the Business object .
Project can have multiple sub projects and subprojects can have multiple objects.
Project documentation displays any documentation maintained for individual pop ups and processing steps
User Guide: Clicking on Enter leads to interactive user guide which displays the Project name, sub project name and object to be created.
Object type and import techniques:
Standard Batch / Direct input.
Batch Input Recording
 o If no standard programs available
 o To reduce number of target fields.
 o Only for fixed screen sequence.
 BAPI
 IDOC
 o Settings and preparations needed for each project
Preparations for IDOC inbound processing:
 Choose settings -> IDOC inbound processing in LSMW
 Set up File port for file transfer, create port using WE21.
 Additionally set up RFC port for submitting data packages directly to function module IDoc_Inbound_Asynchronous, without creating a file during data conversion.
 Setup partner type (SAP recommended US) using WE44.
 Maintain partner number using WE20.

 2)Maintain source structure/s with or without hierarchical relations. (Header, Detail)

 Fields can be maintained individually or in table form or copy from other sources using upload from a text file
 4) Maintain relationship between source and target structures.

Create XML file from ABAP with SOAP Details

I am new to XML and I am not familiar with JAVA or Web Service. I have searched in SDN and googled for a sample program for creating XML document from ABAP with SOAP details. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything.
I have a requirement for creating an XML file from ABAP with SOAP details. I have the data in the internal table. There is a Schema which the client provided and the file generated from SAP should be validating against that Schema. Schema contains SOAP details like Envelope, Header & Body.
My question is can I generate the XML file using CALL TRANSFORMATION in SAP with the SOAP details?
I have tried to create Transformation (Transaction XSLT_TOOL) in SAP with below code. Also in CALL transformation I am not able to change the encoding to UTF-8. It's always show UTF-16.

Custom pushbutton in ME21N should display a popup window with item details

Hello,,
The requirement is to
1. Add a custom pushbutton in ME21N screen at header level.
2. The user will select some PO line items and will click on this push button.
This inturn should trigger a popup window with item details only for those selected PO line items along with schedule line qty.
I have created the custom push button in a custom tab using the BADI ME_GUI_PO_CUST.
Now I am not able to retrieve item details and schedule line details inside the PAI of the custom tab..
i.e., when i click on the custom push button, I am not able to retrive the item data and schedule line data.
Please help me to retrive PO line item data and schedule line data.

JSF is not so relevant in this question. It's all about how the generated client side code look like. Which is usually a bunch of HTML/CSS/JS (open page in browser, rightclick and view source). If you know HTML, you should know that using target="_blank" in a <form> or <a> element would open a new window. If you know JS, you should know that using window.open() would open a new window.
Apply this so in the JSF source code so that the generated HTML/JS output is exactly what you want.

Report with multiple Detail Area

Some Explanations:

(1) The line with "ABCDEFGH..." is variable data coming from the database in the Detail Area
(2) The lines with "WBLNX'" "123, 123.12",
"WBLNX'"
are variable data associated with the same Heading: "ABCDEFGH..."
(2b) There can be multiple lines of data in the detail area (i.e. 1 or more "ABCDEFGH..." and the associated WBLNX and numbers...)
(3) Item Code Descriptions ==> is a Header Info
(4) ARL ... and FPHI... ==> are variable data and lines in these area can be 1 line; it can be 4 lines; it can be 10 lines...
(5) Lines FROM "Artwork Procedures..." to the the end of the page are static.
QUESTION:

How do I best design these Report with the multiple detail areas? Again, please see link of the Report above...

You can place the less detailed fields in the regular sections of the report and wherever you require multiple lines you can use the subreports.

Issue in displaying header details in ALV report

I have used slis_t_listheader and REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE to display the header details in ALV report.I want the details to be displayed as below.

But when I use the structure slis_t_listheader to display the header details,all the fields are coming one below the other.
How can I get the fields as shown in the above format

How Can I Make A Large Photo with Product Detail for My Thumbnails in Dreamweaver

Hello All:
New to Dreamweaver, so my code knowledge does not exist yet. Have Mercy!!!!
Anyway , I am making a typical product page.
I prefer that when people click the thumbnail product photo to not have to click into another brower.
Nowadays you are able to click in what is commonly called a "Quick View" that pops up and gives you a full sized
image along with product detail, and pricing. That's all I want.
How can I link this [the larger photo and product detai] to my thumbnails in Dreamweaver????
I want the look that is on every website like Target, Macy, etc.

don't understand your problem, ore hope to understand it right. You could put the images on a DW file and link to another file with the larger image and where you have written all your informations.
I made this here only for a new, larger image (without additional informations):
