MAC bypass of IP phone at 802.1x MDA mode
Hello,
is it possible (and how to do it) MAC bypass of IP phone (without using CDP) using Multi-Domain Authentication? We want to authenticate PC connected to IP phone only.

Yes, it's possible. You can authenticate the phone via 802.1X or MAC-Authentication (if your phone doesn't have 802.1X).

my iphone 4 is not responding the screen is just showing a usb lead and the itunes symbol. when i plug it into my desktop mac and try to sync it to itunes ,itunes is telling me the phone is in a restore mode. How to avoid duplication of mails on Mac book and I phone
Am using Apple mail on Mac Book Lion version & I phone 4 with IOS.
Am using corporate mail server ie [email protected]
Despite having done the mail settngs with the option - Delete mail immediately on removing the mail from Inbox, the same mail gets downloaded on the other device. That is, i receive all mails on both my devices Mac Book and I phone even if its deleted from Inbox in one device.
i am looking for an option of avoiding duplication of mails - that is mails deleted shouldnt come again on the other device.

thanksDepends on what passwords you are talking about. Most passwords you have the option to change whenever you want.

Hi my iPhone 4 won't turn on . When plugged in on several different chargers the following happens . Blank screen then apple sign for a short period then it buzzes and goes blank. Have tried power button and home button but no change ,When connected to mac get message that phone is in recovery mode and that i must restore this phone before it can be used with iTunes . Is this my last resort as I have some photoessays I don't want to loose.

I tried that but on my iphone i can only click on my email and my number is checked but its in grey doesnt allow me click on it and on my Mac, its the opposite, my email is checked but in grey so doesnt allow me to click on it. im realy confused

Have an older 17 MacBook Pro, running OS 10.5.8. Software update says everyting is current. Mac doesn't have iCloud, preferences still shows MobileMe. Just bought new iPhone 5S. Mac won't recognize phone, says I need newer version of iTunes. Have no problem with computer recognizing old phone 3 or 1-1/2 year old iPad. I suspect I need to update OS, but as software update isn't telling me to do so, can I? What version would I need to go to?
Your MacBook Pro can be updated to run Mac OS X "Snow Leopard". Buy it. That will enable you to run the latest iTunes version.

802.1x MDA with Cisco 3750, ACS and Avaya phones
Hello,
What is the minimum software level on the C3750 to support the 'device type class=voice' AV-pair returned by ACS? I found 12.2(35) introduced MDA, but also I found 12.2(40) required for dynamic voice VLAN on MDA ports.
What i observe is :
- phone connects
- phone is dot1x authenticated in data VLAN and gets its DHCP address there
- DHCP advertises (option 242) the voice vlan id
- phone reauthenticates in voice vlan
- phone reacquires a new DHCP address, now in voice VLAN
so far so good ... and we start using the phone
- pc behind phone starts and enters credentials
- pc authenticates ok (in data vlan)
but 3750 shuts the port down per security violation ("new mac-address found").
The mac-address of the phone stays in the data vlan's mac table, despite the phone moved correctly to the voice vlan. This macaddress excludes the 'new' pc mac-address, causing a shutdown of the port.
NB : "setting port-security max mac-addresses" to say 5 does not change anything to this behavior.
Can anybody give some hints?
Tx.Searching further, I found that 12.2(40) requirement for dynamic voice VLAN on MDA ports only applies to dynamically provisioning the voice vlan ID by radius, applying the (65)tunnel (medium) type and (81) tunnel private groupid attributes. So, the question remains : why does the data VLAN keep an entry with the phone's MAC address in its MAC table?

How to get MAC address of a phone

I am able to retrieve phone details by sending Soap request to RisPort. But the response doesn't have MAC address of the phone. Can any one please let me know how to get this information.

If you have no backups, and data has been lost, then it's lost forever. The rest of your data will inevitably follow if you don't back up.
