Mac to PC check out feature not syncing up!

At my office we are trying to institute the
check-in/check-out feature in Dreamweaver. PC users are seeing my
(Mac) checked out files but I can't see their (PC) checked out
files, nor can I unlock files on my Mac. If I open a file, change
it and try to save it, Dreamweaver tells me access denied. Is this
a server issue (we share thru a windows server) or a local issue?

My first guess here would be that he needs to uninstall and reinstall his iTunes and device manager setup. Here is a link to the apple article on this:

When he plugs it into a windows system, it should give him a task bar dialog that it has found a new device, but then get more specific and tell him it is an iPod. Then give him the usual ready for use notice.
Don't have the iPod connected while reinstalling. Wait for the system to boot up and then connect the iPod. Do not connect it through a USB hub. Connect it directly to a USB port on the back of the computer.

It seems to me that enabling the get latest on check-out feature would be beneficial to avoid any version conflict.
However, I'm not sure if there's any down-side if we are going to push through on it. Any thoughts on this?

We have a small team and we just migrated from VSS to TFS. I'm currently doing a Check-in/Check-out standard procedure for our team and initially, my steps were
Get Latest every morning
Get Latest before check-in
Resolve any conflict if applicable/compare and merge
Build/Test
Check-in
Now, i didnt realized that there's actually a feature that forces you to do Get latest. This will save as from the trouble of getting latest all over again.
Don't get me wrong, your steps were part of our standard procedures in my previous job but i'm just curious why we want it disabled and will there be any consequences?

If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.

Apply button greyed out and not syncing music

So my itouch is not syncing music. I checked the boxes for every album and song I want but when I go back to apply the changes, the apply button is greyed out. Only the revert button is working. For some reason, my other itouch is syncing perfectly but this new one isn't and I don't know what to do, can somebody help??

EBS check out is not getting cleared? Explained Clearly.

Hi Experts,
while uploading BAI file into SAP, system is creating the following entry.
Debit Bank Check-out clearing account
Credit Main Bank Account
Now the problem is, it's not offsetting the amount which is sitting in the Bank Check-Out Clearing Account as Credit.
So we are clearing it Manually but we wanted automatically should be offset.
Kindly advice what setting needs to be done.

In the posting rule configuration for EBS, you need to select the proper Posting type. SAP has the following available:
1     Post to G/L account
2     Post subledg.acc deb
3     Post subldg.acc cred
4     Clear debit G/L acct
5     Clear credit G/L act
7     Clear deb.subledg.ac
8     Clear cred.subl.acct
9     Reset & rev. clear
Your current configuration is probably '1 - Post to G/L account'.
You need to select the posting type '4 - Clear debit G/L acct'.

Checked out or not (Project Server 2013)

Hi,
In the Cache directory of Project Pro 2013 I have several projects declared as "Checked Out"
In PWA, every projects are Checked In.
So, where is the truth? What can I do ?

if you are sure, that they are checked in on server, you can deleted them from Checked-Out cache (File - Options - Save - Clean Up Cache - Projects Checked Out to you. Select Project and "Remove from cache".
To reduce this issue in future, close always you project firts, before closing your client. When closing your project and you check it in, Project Server will start the check in. But it needs some time to finish this job and give success message back to
client. So, if you close project by closig client at the same time, client will not get the "success" and will still show project as checked out after restart of client.

IPod Classic songs were wiped out - will not sync with iTunes

iPod Classic turned on and has zero music - somehow wiped out. Will not sync to iTunes - iTunes freezes when iPod is connected but works fine when no iPod connected. iPod was reset to the original date of 2000 and mostly sits with the apple logo. iTunes has current version - tried resetting the iPod but iTunes still does NOT recognize the iPod.

Fixed it after some more fiddling - restored iPod from the frist sync a few days back, and then tried again.

Business Catalyst Check Out scripts not working on IE8 or lower

I have currently fixed a lot of incompatibilities on the Business Catalyst check out,
but I am currently working on compatibilities for IE8, 7 , 6 I have managed to load most of the plugins all
over the site but I am having problems on the Check Out area of the site.
I am not sure what can be blocking the scripts from loading!!

Best way to confirm that the issue either lies with BC or local is to remove the template from the shop and see if the issues resolves.
If working fine then I would suggest looking into your template to see what conflicts might be causing this. Turning off Check In/Check Out Feature

Hello All,
I am taking over a website that had the feature of Check
In/Check Out turned on. I turned off this feature since there is
only one website developer. My understanding of this feature is
that it is useful when you have more than one website developer. I
would now like to get rid of the multiple thousands of LCK files
that are the result. Can I just go in and delete them or should I
do it another way? Please help. Thank you.

Use FINDER/EXPLORER to delete them, but you should DOWN synch
all locked
files first.
I'd leave checkin/checkout turned ON, Check out the entire
site. Then turn
CI/CO off, and manually delete the lock files.

Cannot use the "check out" feature on some sites, have to use IE as my browser in order to check out.

I went through the process of spec-ing the product, and got to the check-out page. None of the amounts would be listed. No quantity, no prices. I had to use Internet Explorer as my browser to complete my order.

Hi, Are you using the internet to connect with your maps? or are you browsing offline? Im guessing the issue could be with the way the application uses the web. you could try checking in your options menu in the maps application and see what APN is selected. For example if you have your home WI-FI set as default then you will get that kind of message coming up. Check to see if you can connect to the web at all, just through the browser. failing all these check how old your sim card is. i hope some of these suggestions help.

Garageband for Mac and iCloud project in cloud not syncing to iPad

I have checked every setting possible in GB for Mac and in iCloud settings,, plus also checked iPad for all settings. I can see that a particular project is appearing as an iCloud document, however, it does not appear to be syncing to my iPad. The document (project)was made in my Mac Garageband New Version , opens up nicely on GB version 10,, and I have it in the cloud and not a document on my computer. Any help as to why it might not be showing up on my iPad would be appreciated.... unless there are are problems in the Cloud tonight.?

GarageBand can only sync from iPad to OS X, not the other way around.
You can, however, sync back to an iPad if the project was originally created on an iPad.
Some edits you did in OSX may not be seen on your iPad.
Opening an iPad-version in OS X is a bit awkward.
First, on your iPad tap and hold the file you want to send to iCloud.
As soon as the icon of your song starts to wiggle, tap Upload to iCloud.
In OS X go to File / iCloud / Import GarageBand for iOS
It can take some minutes before you can see your project.

I have just had to replace my hard drive on my mac book pro and can now not sync my iphone which contains all my information onto the new drive, any ideas?

Since getting laptop repaired I have been trying to sync my iphone with the new hard drive but it will not allow me to do this without first wanting to wipe the phone clean and put info on the hard drive onto the phone, of course there is no info on the hard drive at all. Mail keeps timing out, will not sync emails

i am using mac os X snow leopard. the mail application will not get new email from my gmail account. it says that it is unable to connect, and this message comes up:
There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “Gmail” or try again.
The server returned the error: The connection to the server “imap.gmail.com” on port 993 timed out.

Accessing a Mail server via a web based interface (say gmail.com) is quite different than using an external email program (like Mail). The most you can infer from being able to login using the web site is that the account is active and that the username / password you are using is correct.
I would suggest taking your computer to a different network connection (ideally an Apple Retail Store as all the required ports will be open on their routers). See if the same issue happens there.
If it does not then we know there is something going on with your network / ISP.
Another option is to login to a new user account on your computer and try that. If it works in a new user but not your main user there are settings files you can try pulling. One step at a time though.
