Macros in BPC version 10

Hello Experts,
I am trying to run Macros in EPM BPC 10 reports and input forms. I came across this blog post and have followed steps 1,2 and 3. I am not very clear about how to instantiate the Class in VB (step 4) and use the same with the button I created from the developer tab.

The Macros work fine when you type in the script given in step 4 of the blog, on the VB script page which opens once you insert a button using the developer tab.

Hi,
In accordance with the above responses provided by the experts, BPC MS doesnt support transports. The MS version doesnt have the lifecycle management.
At the initial phase, when the application set needs to be migrated to the production system, you can take a backup in the dev system and manually copy the backup files to the production system and then restore them using the BPC manager.
At the later stages, if you want to transfer few of the changes, taking backup once again might be troublesome, because in that case, the transactional data in the production system will be overwritten by the backup. In this case, you need to follow a different approach.
Few of the objects like the member sheet, script logics, reports, etc are stored in the webfolder. These can be directly copied to the production box. Apart from these, the BPF related stuffs, work status, etc are not stored in the webfolder. These are stored in the tables. So, either you need to make these adjustments explicitly in the production box or you can export and import these tables in the production.

Why do not I have available the "Data Input", in BPC version 10?
What permissions should I have? ...
I check Use as Input Form option, General tab in Sheet Options; but not available "Data Input" in Ribon EPM

Then you must create a new task profile, call it ALL_TASKS and place every task (including Use Input Forms and Save Data) in that new task profile.

Macros in BPC 7.0NW

Hi all,
Does anyone knows any document or place where I can find the name of all the existing macros I can use in BPC?
I would like to use custom buttoms in the forms but I don't know the name of the macros availables and I have not installed the on line help in the client.

Auto_Open() macro in BPC

Experts,
I am trying to run some custom events as soon as I open any report in BPC (all reports have been built using EVDRE). I tried using Auto_Open() macro to do the custom events but I observed that it does not function in BPC (however Auto_Close() works). Any idea how I can do so?
To give an example, in one of the reports, I want to set a pre-defined Current view. I have used EVMNU("Set CV",,...) function on the on report page (in cell R1). When this cell is selected, the current view is set to default view. I want this cell to get clicked (selected) automatically when the report is opened so that the initial view is set to default view. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

SAP BPC Version Information

Hello there,
i got SAP BPC 7.0MS installed and just upgraded it to SP06. Are there any informations available about installed SP's on the server? I just can see the new installed BPC server version 7.0115.00, the prior version was 7.0.113.00. Does anybody of you guys know, which version of the server has which SP included? Are there any notes from SAP for that? I couldn't find anything yet.

I would suggest you to attend ADM555 training offered by SAP eduction division.(ofcourse if possible to you).

     What version of BPC are you using? because in our BPC version the MNU_eSUBMIT_REFSCHEDULE_SHEET_NODIALOG_SHOWRESULT didn't work. I seems like there is no code behind that command/ macro. because in the other macros it works and if the macro is not existing like MNU_eSUBMIT_REFSCHEDULE_SHEET_SHOWRESULT it will show an error saying that the macro is availabe or cannot be find.

BPC Mass User Management Tool in BPC 10.0 NW-Version Component Error

Hi,
We have a problem when importing request K900024.RBP and R900024.RBP.
We changed the UJ_STRING in "DATA: lv_value TYPE uj_value" in the source code as recommended at BPC Mass User Management Tool in BPC 10.0 NW
Unfortunately, when we try to import CSV files we receive a error message "BPC Version Component must be 800". Our is 801.
Where can I find this files or its upgrades? Is there a SAP link?

Error In BPC Export Package-version 7.5

Hi Bpc Experts,
We upgraded DEV BPC Version 7 to 7.5 netweaver version.
We are facing an issue when using Export package to export file from BPC to BI application server.
After running EXPORT Package a window appears with input field to enter File name and path,But i am not able to enter the file name in the Input field(Non editable).I used the below Advanced Script

Error In BPC Netweaver Export Package-version 7.5

Can you try the below mapping:
0GLACCOUNT=C_ACCT
I have my transformation file maintained in such a way that my BPC dimensions are maintained to the right of '=' sign.
Maintain your mapping like that and validate the tansformation file with the data in the BPC cube.

BPC 5 MS version -Park and Go Offline Report is not showing any values

Hello Everyone,
I have some reports that I created using EVGTS and EVDES in BPC and need to send to users who are not connected to BPC. I have attempted to save the reports via park and go with the offline option selected so that the report would not be connected to BPC. The users came back to me saying that when they opened the reports all of the cells are showing #Name instead of the values when they open the reports. I have saved the reports to my desktop then closed out of BPC totally and opened the reports in native Excel and they display fine on my desktop. I then sent the offline report to my personal email address and opened it on my laptop which doesn't have a BPC installed on it and I got the same error as my users. We are close to go live and will definitely need to have this functionality working for the reports in Excel to be distributed to a lot of users who are will not have access to BPC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you searched on the support site for any notes on this? I have had similar problems, related to specific builds of BPC 5.1 and specific versions of MS Excel.
I'd recommend you file a message with SAP Support, indicating the specific versions of Excel for which the report does work offline (your own machine, apparently) and does not work.
I know that a few BPC versions ago, the park-and-go feature definitely worked when sending the Excel file to a user without the BPC client installed. It's possible that this is no longer true, but I wasn't aware of the change.

SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 and Citrix Entering Data through BPC Client and Citrix

Hello BPC experts,
my client is using SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 in combination with Citrix. We are having problems now, while entering data through the BPC Client (installed on BPC Server) and the BPC Client (running on Citrix).
When we enter data through the BPC Client (Server) and expand the sheet, we can only see the data that we entered through the BPC client (Server). When entering data through the BPC Client (Citrix), we can see only the data we enter through the BPC Client (Citrix).
The database, however, saves both entries correctly. For test purposes we created a test report which shows both entries correctly in the BPC Client on the server and on Citrix.
Does anyone have an idea what can be wrong with our system? We tried to create an EvDRE log File for this BPC version as well, but failed. Maybe one of you already did that and can help me with this.

Receiving error in BPC Data Manager while running Export package.

We are in a multi server environment and receiving below error message while running Export package.
Have anyone seen below error message in BPC 5.1

How can BW/SEM consultant transition to BPC

I am an experienced SAP BW/SEM-BPS consultant and have more than 10 engagement in this space.
I went thru the outlooksoft admin I and II courses.
Is this enough to break into BPC ?. Also looking at BPC 7 demo it looks like we need both BW and outlooksoft skillsets in the future. Any opinions ?.

The BPC versions 7 for MicroSoft and NetWeaver will be out soon. Since you already have passed the courses, then the best thing to find is a project to explore assisting in building core functionality in BPC. In a project you may assume a role of defining reporting/input requirements and building the process with and for the customer. This will also lead to opportunities to construct logic for calculations, as defined by the customer requirements. I think the BW experience will play a part going forward with the BPC 7.0 NW edition, so if you have the means and time, I would learn the basics to begin. My expectation is that over time we will find the best methods for blending the BW technology with the BPC processes and capabilities, so the experiance will be useful several times over going forward. But there will also be cases where customers will continue to use the MS versions and need teams who understand the BPC environment and how the technology will continue to supoort and expand the business planning process. So, check with your consulting teams for opportunities. If you are a partner, sell the product and engage with SAP consulting to support the BPC implementation.
