Mail Form Export to Excel

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to create a file with a list of business partners and corresponding specified attribute values associated with a Target group for a Campaign. The Mail form is used here mainly for File Export.
I have done the required configuration for the mail forms and assigned the usage form to File Export and I have the following Issues.
1 ) How do I assign the Mail Form to a Campaign?
2 ) How will the mail form read the data associated with the attributes (like the BP attribute values  associated with campaign for a specific target group) ? Do I have to use a BADI Enhancement for this ?
3) How do I Export the Mail Form data to a .CSV file?
Any inputs on this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks In Advance.
Pooja

  • How do I get PDF forms to export to excel in the desired order?

How do I get PDF forms to export to excel in the desired order?
Here is what I have done:
    As taken from another post:
Choose Forms > Manage Form Data > Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet.
In the Export Data From Multiple Forms dialog box, click Add Files.
In the Select file Containing Form Data dialog box, select a file format option in File Of Type option (Acrobat Form Data Files or All Files). Then locate the form files that you want to merge into the spreadsheet, select them, and click Select.
Repeat the previous step to add form data files that are in other locations, as needed.
Click Export. Then select a folder and filename for the spreadsheet, and click Save.
In the Export Progress dialog box, click either View File Now to open the spreadsheet file or Close Dialog to return to Acrobat."
The problem now is that Adobe populates Excel in ABC order of the form, based off of the name of each box in the form. For example, if my form has three text boxes, named A, B, and C, then Adobe will export to Excel as such:
    Row 1 =         A                              B                              C
Row 2 =         data entered             data entered              data entered
where 'data entered' is whatever the user typed into the form boxes. But what if I want a different order for exporting, and I don't want to rename my text boxes? What if I want:
    Row 1 =         C                              B                              A
Row 2 =         data entered             data entered              data entered   ?
Is there a way to do this in acrobat x or xi?
    Thanks

I don't have time to test right now, but there was a change with Acrobat 10 where it exports according to the tab order, which you may have to set manually, so give that a shot. Otherwise, you'll have to process the file after it's exported if you need the fields in a particular order. This wouldn't be too difficult to do with something like a VBS or JS script in Windows.

  • Export PDF form to MS Excel. Losing field contents

    Hi there,
I'm using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
I'm trying to export a PDF form into MS excel for further manipulation, but it seems that Acrobat is unable to export everything into Excel.
    Here what I have done:
"File"> "Save as">"spreadsheet">"MS excel workbook". then I will save onto desktop.
when I open it up in MS excel, i only see the form fields but not the content.
Can anyone help? Is this a acrobat issue or excel issue?
    Thanks

Try flattening the form before exporting to Excel. You can do this via PDF Optimizer, Preflight, the following JavaScript that you execute in the interactive JavaScript console (Ctrl+J):
    flattenPages();
by placing the cursor on that line and pressing Ctrl+Enter, or Enter on the numberic keypad, or by using this free JavaScript-based tool: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

  • Campaign File Export via Mail Form

    Hi,
I created a Mail Form, which is used to export campaign data in case Open Channel is used.
So a file containing the selected business partners is created after campaign execution and attached to the campaign. When opening this file, the column headers appear like this:
    BAPIBUS1006_HEAD-BPARTNER
    BAPIBUS1006_CENTRAL_ORGAN-NAME1
    and so on
Does anyone know how I can get rid of the BAPIBUS1006_HEAD- or BAPIBUS1006_CENTRAL_ORGAN- part? I just want to show meaningful columnnames, like BPARTNER and NAME1.
This concerns CRM 5.0 and CRM 5.2
    Regards,
    Jeroen

    Hi,
Have you copied this formular from another client/system? Then I know it will not work since I did the same. You have to create the formular again in the system you are working and check then.
From the campaign, choose test comm. chanel and check in the ringt corner whether it says badi*something. If it does not, create a new formular.

  • Export target group by using mail form?

    Hi Gurus,
we have a requirements to export the target group to a file but with the attributes we defined in Mailform. If I chose the export to a file then I need to enhance a BADI to define all these attributes again.
Is it possible to export target group to a file by leverage the mail forms?
    We are working on CRM7.0
    Thanks,
    Wu

    Hi Hongfa,
    Export target group to file
You use this function to export the business partner data for target group members to a file, so that you can process this data further at a later date, or simply for storage purposes.
You can choose which business partner fields the export file will contain. You use the BAdI CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX to define the fields you require.
The name of the file you create is freely definable. The file name you specify is saved in the logical file path MARKETING_FILES, which you define in Customizing (see Prerequisites). The data is written to two files: a data file that contains the actual data, and a meta file that contains the description of the data (for example, field types and field descriptions). In the standard system, MARKETING_FILES refers to the DIR_GLOBAL directory (transaction AL11). There is no restriction on the number of business partners.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Can I simultaneously save a form as a PDF and export to Excel?

Can I simultaneously save a form as a PDF and export to Excel?

Regardless of your goal yes, it would be separate steps - but let me see if I understand what you want so I can explain better...
I am assuming you want to export the response data to Excel, this is an action from the "File" = "Export Responses" menu item and can export all of the response data to Excel at one time (also has the option of PDF or CSV).  That would be done as one step, exporting to Excel.  If you also wanted a PDF version of the table with all responses you could repeat that and select "PDF" the second time.
If you want PDF's of each individual response (you can "Download Response as PDF" which is a PDF that looks like the original form filled out) then that is also a separate step and has to be done individually for each response you want to download as PDF.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Export/Convert Browser Based Infopath 2010 forms to PDF/Excel/Word

    Hi,
Is there an OOB, way of converting browser based Infopath 2010 forms to PDF/Word/Excel.
In case there isnt, can anyone please point me to a coded or a programmatic way of implementing the same.
    Soptik Dutta

    Hi Soptik,
As far as I know, we can only save an InfoPath form as PDF/Excel using InfoPath Windows form application(rather than Broswer-based InfoPath).
    In this case, we can
Open the library that save the forms
Selec the form that is wanted to be PDF/Excel(Just select it, don't open it)
Click the "inverse trangle", and then click "Edit in Microsoft InfoPath"
In InfoPath, click "File" > "Save & Send" to save the form as PDF/Excel
In this following thread, there are some code snippets, which will help you to export an form to PDF using custom code:

Please feel free to ask, if you have any more questions.

  • Can a Page with a web part, getting data from a form Library view, be exported to EXCEL?

Certain data in a form Library is limited to a selected group of people (say Director's Group).
I have created a Director's view in the Form library.
Then created a Director's page with a web part connecting that Director's view to get the desired data.
Then I have hidden the view, since form library can have contribute permission to all the users.
Permissions to that Director's page is given to only Director's Group.
However, Director's Group would like to export the data to MS EXCEL.  Is it possible?
If not, any workaround using OOB functionalities?

  • Can I prefill forms from an excel worksheet

I am looking for an alternative to typing or copy and pasting names onto forms that I distribute to clients. I am wondering if there is a way I can link an excel worksheet or export data from a document to prefill on each form. Something similar to a mail merge of some type.
    Thank you!

Probably the easiest way to do this is to import the data in Acrobat from a tab-delimited file that you export from Excel. The first row must contain the exact field names and subsequent rows contain one or more records. When you import, you will be able to select a row of data and it will then be used to populate the form. So the workflow is:
    1. Begin by setting up a worksheet to include the field names of the PDF form as the first row.
    2. Populate the worksheet with one or more records.
    3. Save worksheet as a tab-deliimited text file.
    4. Open the form in Acrobat
    5. Import a row of data form the text file. E.g., Tools > Forms > More Form Options > Import Data > [select text file] > [select row]

    Hi,
If you are using 10g, then OLE2 is supported. However, it will be executed in the App Server Machine.
If you want to do the operation in the Client machine (as how it was done in the Client / Server), you need to use Client_OLE (Which is part of WebUtil).
    Look at
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/webutil/webutil.htm
    for more details on WebUtil.
