Mail issues. mail is not sending all the setting are correct- is it an apple or a server problem?
As above- am using a MacBook pro 13-inch running os Lion, latest version. But mail is not sending, it will recieve. I get various messages: attempt to read data from the server failed. Connection timed out on Port. What do I do?

To create a screen shot just use Shift-Command-4 and you'll get a crosshair that you can drag across the portion of the screen that you want to capture. Alternately, you can use Shift-Command-3 to take a shot of your full screen and then use an image editor to crop just what you want to post (using the little camera icon in the composing area).
Have you tried pinging the servers? I pinged xtra.com.nz and got incoming packets, so the server isn't down now.

I'm a bit at a loss. I don't use Mail - I've been using Entourage and, more recently, Outlook from Microsoft for over ten years. Nary a problem with POP or IMAP. Some people also like Mozilla Thunderbird - it's free and it's worth a download just to see if you can set up a useable account with it.
Post a screen shot of your settings and we'll go from there.

Try a couple of basic troubleshooting steps that can apply to any iPad issue.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the mail app and restart. In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
None of these things may work, but without more specific information, they are a good place to start. -
Mail does not load all the e-mails showing on Web Access to ICloud
When i look at my Me account via ICloud there are sometimes e-mails which do not show when i look at my inbox via the Mail application - it doesn't seem to be related to mails from a person or company, as when i look from one sender some will show and others will not. I have the Mail options as Expand all Conversations, but it still shows as a problem - does any one else have this or know how to fix it?

The issue might be related to the OLE DB driver. Which OLE DB Provider do you use? If you use the Microsoft JET 4.0 OLE DB Provider, try the Microsoft ACE 12.0 OLE DB Provider instead. You can get this provider by installing the 32-bit
Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable.
In addition, you can recreate the OLE DB Connection Manager and the OLE DB Source component instead of using the existing ones.

This is a new machine though I am not new to Firefox. There are certain sites I have multiple accounts on in which Firefox as of a month ago saved every password for every account. Just turning on this machine for the first time yesterday I immediately downloaded Firefox and set the settings as I had them on the previous machine. As I began getting things in order and all favorites back in place, Firefox did prompt me to save about 4 passwords and abruptly stopped. I have checked all the settings and nothing has changed. No addresses have been blocked, no exceptions. Even addresses and on sites I know for certain will let Firefox save the passwords I am not being prompted. I am at a loss as to what to do.
Any help would be appreciated.

delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
reboot.
launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.

I don't have the need to make many DVDs. I was doing this for someone who's grandfather, a D-Day veteran was featured in one of the videos for the website of the newspaper where I work. It turns out that the DVD looks right on the widescreen TV, but not on my monitors. I could not find an answer to something that apparently was not a problem in the first place. I learned a lot from the various discussions and will be reading more of them, more often in the future.

Bleeds wont show up on pdf (and i'm pretty sure all the settings are correct)

I have yet to find an email server that does not work with Mail.app. Your solution will be to configure its ports and send/receive protocol according to the email server's requirements.
Try the Zimbra support forums. I found this excerpt from a relevant post:

The Apple ID on my iPhone is incorrect when trying to update apps. It is correct in my Settings. I have signed out & signed back on & this does not make any difference. Even if you put a credit or debit card on file with iTunes it will still use your balance FIRST.
I would suggest putting a card on file and testing to see if it will allow you to make a purchase, then removing the card from the account after successful download of an item.

You can't play copywrited protected content over Remote disc. It's blocked.

I have been updating my site over the last week, using Iweb SEO TOOL, but suddenly 2 days ago I can no longer update when i go to publish it says "invalid password "on Iweb Test. and on SEO Tool, Login Failed Login Authentication Failed, the password and all settings are correct.
I am 100% sure the all the setting are correct, as it has been working for the last 7 months and I have just been updating it, then suddenly it stopped, I have all the FTP settings wrote down, and even changed the passwords twice hoping that may work to no avail.Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.

I had problems with sending emails from one server in particular, however, I would ask if you have gone to the page of your server and found specific instructions for configuring your mail. My iMAC would not send out emails, so I went to my (Italian) server's page and solved the problem.
It was not sufficient to let the MAC wizard connect you up with your server, and, indeed, MAIL invited me to consider installing the server's email manually. So doing, my problem was solved.
Your server's page should have a list of email programs (cf Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) , with instructions as to how to configure them. Look for the item referring to Macintosh Mail, keep it in background in order to go back to it as you configure your mail.
My problem was that I could not convince Mail to accept the out connection, but when I eliminated my server entirely in Mail's Preferences, I added that server once again: Mail told me that it could not safely transfer my password and asked me if I wanted to set up the site manually. I clicked on manual, and found very precise specifications as to the number of the port to be used, then instructions on how to find the menu for the out mail, with a particular number I had to insert in the drop-down menu they specified.
It was not as complicated as it sounds here, but requires patience. -
IMAP is not downloading all the Incoming emails fully in outlook 2013.

I have configured IMAP in outlook 2013.Earlier,we are using POP account and now our email account are configured as IMAP in outlook 2013.
After configured IMAP in outlook 2013,it starts downloading all the mails like Inbox,sent emails etc.But IMAP has not downloaded all the Inbox (incoming)emails.
I have checked in emails server,there are 4,189 inbox emails but IMAP has downloaded only 2000 inbox emails only.
The same i have checked in email server for sent items.In email server there are 1,755 sent emails but IMAP downloaded sent emails only 1000 emails.
Please let me know why IMAP has not downloading all the Incoming mails fully & the sent mails fully.

Pradeep.RJust try to remove the recent update that has been pushed out by Microsfot to Outlook 2013 and Office 365 users. You can do this by following given steps:
Step 1: Open your start menu and click visit your Control Panel.
Step 2: Click Programs and Features.
Step 3: Click View Installed updates.
Step 4: Locate either the KB2837618 or KB2837643 and remove them.
Disable the "Show only subcribed folders" option in Outlook.
Step 1: Right click the name of your account with the issue, then click the IMAP folders link.
Step 2: Outlook will open a box with IMAP folders. There is a checkbox that says, "When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show the subcribed folders." Uncheck that box.
Step 3: Force sending/receiving within Outlook and everything should synchronize up properly.
Changing the root folder path
Visit your Account Settings, then Advanced for the mail account that you are having trouble with. This can be located at one of the following:
Go to Change Account>More Settings>Advanced Tab
File > Account Settings > Account settings > Change... > More Settings... > Advanced
Step 1: In the Folders option, look for "Root Folder Path" and enter "INBOX" (with all caps).
Step 2: Save your setting and force a Send/Receive
