Hi..
It can be done using SO10 ..Define the variables in the SO10 text. In the program in which u need to create the body of the mail.
1. Read the text from the SO10.
2. Create the variables with the same name in ur program.
3. Use FM TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE to replace the symbol(Variable) to values.

The above mentioned will work only when HTML Mail option is selected on the user account level under Account properties.

HTML Editor for creating e-mail templates for SAP Cloud for Customer

Hi Techies,
                 Is there any preferred software for creating e-mail templates to use with SAP Cloud for Customers ? I mean to avoid unnecessary errors when creating standard e-mail template which are recognized unified manner within the system.
Will appreciate with rewards points for best support.

Here is a template for the wire-frame that we used. We went with pure HTML tables so that the response could be multi-client compatible. We found that additional code caused issues with certain clients. In the middle table, we had linked icons to our respective self serve properties and additional support options for Chat and our own Support Community.
The content of the email will be placed where #Text# is. Our email responses include the content and the basic signature. We also provide our detailed legal disclaimer at the bottom with additional links if needed.

Sourcing 7.0: Email Link in Mail templates when implementing Single Sign on

We are implementing Sourcing 7.0 SP02 On premise.
We are in the processing of setting up the single sign on with Enterprise Portal.
In E-Sourcing 5.1 - when we implement single sign on with portal - the mail links in the mail templates have to be replaced with the portal URL and also - in order to redirect the user from portal login to the correct object in E-Sourcing (contract/MA/RFX) - we had implemented a custom portal solution (par file) to redirect the user.
So when the user clicks on the link in the mail - it will take the user to Enterprise portal login. Once the login is done - user will be redirected to the E-Sourcing object like RFX/MA which the token %DOCUMENT_URL% contains.

In user emails, %DOCUMENT_URL% token is used to generate the document
specific URL. This URL takes the user directly to the document. However,
when Sourcing is integrated with SAP Portal, using only this token will not
take the user to the document. In order to fix this, ENCODE function has
been introduced. Wrapping this around the URL, the URL can be encoded and
used as a "forcedURL" in the portal link.
Would you be able to explain to me how this can be achieved through configuration? I tried now with a portal user of Sourcing and the link was still showing up as the old link. Is this forcedURL generated using a system property?

Link in GP e-mail template

Hi,
I want to add the current task link in e-mail template. I am able to retrieve the link by sy.workitemurl, but the link is coming as plain text and not a link/url. On using href- it does not seem to convert the sy.workitemurl into its value. Can anybody point me out the correct syntax for writing the same?

From my understading you could try specifying something like the following in the template:
<a href="`{ write(sy.workitemurl); `} ">My Link</a>
I tested this here and the the resulting email which was sent to me presented me a link which pointed to:

Mac Mail Template Not Sending Correctly - Yosemite

Hi, folks,
Upgraded to 10.10.1 on a Mac Pro Tower a month or so ago. When I use one of the few Mac Mail templates to send emails to a group, the artwork embedded in the template, and the text are separating, so the art ends up on the bottom of the email, under the text.
I am using AOL as my mail provider, through Verizon Fios ISP. Below is an example, showing the bottom of the mail message as I received it. The Mac template includes a blue background, and a trophy icon - they are supposed to be at the top of the email. After I enter a headline (which I made into a smaller font point size) and entered my body copy (which I recolored from light gray to black) I sent the email to many users, including myself. When I open the email, the headline appears at the top, then the body copy, but the trophy artwork which should be at the very top has been pushed to the bottom, separated from the blue background of the template.
Also, as an aside, does someone know where there are other good-quality Mail templates that can be added to Apple's minuscule selection?

Me too, very frustrsting. In addition, a few days before this happened, these same clients received emails from me from a gmail server based email address than I don't ever use for business. I think this started the day after I got the icloud email. Coincidence or not?
So:
1. I sent an email from email address 1 (definitely address 1) but the client received it from email address 2!
2. When I spotted the replies from the clients, I checked and no matter what I did, the system overrode the sending email to be email 2.
3. A few days later, all the clients I'd been having issues with, are having the same server message when sending as Sam. Very frustrating and wasting huge amounts of my time. What's gong on and what do I need to do about it? I've already deleted the gmail address and re-set it up which sorted the problem yesterday but it's back again today.

In the Workflow Mail Template Configure, we are attempting to discover if we can insert text between the single quotes.
I have a requirement where I need to edit the Approve/Reject/Request More Information in a mail template. The customer wants to have some texts populated in between the quotes in the "Rejection Reason" for the email Template.
e.g-: when click on Reject link form email, my requirement is to add a text mentioned below in italics. This will give the user instructions on what to do....many tiumers they see the single quotes and do not enter in the Rejection Reason.
Approval Action: 'Reject'
Rejection Reason: ' insert rejection reason text here '

You can define a message attribute of type 'respond', then you can see a text field to enter your response comments.

Off the top of my head, you should be able to create mail templates in muse BUT it will require very basic html/css knowledge on your part. I am assuming you want to do just the signature?
Create the design you would like on one page, dont do any kind of styling in a master page. Then export the site into a folder. Open the html file with notepad/ textedit and then copy just the code for JUST the template. Throw it in you mail app of choice and it should work.
This seems like something that would be done alot quicker in dreamweaver in design view.
PLEASE NOTE: ^i could be completely wrong - but in theory this may work.

How to send a mail with rich text content like using outlook

Hi All. I have a serious problem. When we send the mail from
outlook express or yahoo, we can send the mail with the text appearing
in the mail with bold font , with different colors, underlined etc.

Go to this site and download the htmlArea Javascripts. Embedd them in your HTML and it will turn your normal HTML Text Area into Rich Text Area. Your real code will include all HTML tags. For example if you select some text and make it bold , the real HTML output will look like <B>YOUR TEXT </B>. So i guess your recipient should be able to receive HTML contents.

We have an outstanding balance (though we have received no past due notice via mail, email, or text and make regular payments every month) that I would love to pay, but our bank account number was stolen, so we can't access our account until Monday. Because we were unable to pay our outstanding balance, we were told we can't order the phones today during the special promotion (that ends today). No one can help us, though we have no way of doing anything until Monday when our bank reopens and can reimburse us for the money that was stolen from us. No one in customer service can help us (they can't process the order but not ship until after we make payment on Monday, they won't honor today's promotion on Monday due to our special circumstance, nothing). They stated that "corporate" makes the rules and they have no idea how I can reach corporate to discuss the matter. Without the promotion, we will be charged full price for the phones on Monday, which will cost us an additional $300.00. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope that you aren't complaining about dropped calls INSIDE your condo because no amount of switching or upgrading devices will solve that.
VZW will not guarantee service inside of any structure. There are just too many factors. If the problem is inside then you might want to look at one of the following:
1.) Network Extender (may cause issues for others in a condo or apartment style setting)
2.) A Google Voice Number (Free with a Gmail email address), downloading Google Hangouts Dialer and forwarding your calls to the GVN so that you can make and receive calls over Wi-Fi.

I have created an text module of type include text in Adobe form context. the text which has to be bold is not being displayed as bold and the line space after first paragraph is being skipped out and the 2nd paragraph is being displayed as the continuation of the first. The out put looks as below
"Thank you for choosing Enterprise. We look forward to seeing you at 9:00 am on Monday, November 28, 2011. This message is to confirm you have updated your reservation. Following are the details for the updated reservation: P.S. Remember us when you're renting in town. Enterprise is always nearby at more than 6,500 neighborhood locations."
I tried Styles using SE72 on the SO10 text. And I cannot assign smartform styles on SO10 text in Adobe forms.

Using formats of SO10 text in Adobe forms

Hello guys,
I got a question concerning the interaction of SO10 texts with adobe form text fields.
I know there are some threads about it here, and I think I understand the default SAP behavior, but can you please confirm if I am right? Then I got a special question about one case.
So is it right that there is only the difference between formatting the textfield itself in adobe form layout and adding a style to the text field in form context?
This means:
(1) Whenever in my text field in form context no style is added, the adobe form will take the formatting like it is done in the adobe form layout? This would mean that every format which is entered in the SO10 text is insignificant for the adobe form?
(2) Whenever in my text field a style is added, SAP will use SO10 text formats? This means, SAP searches for the smartforms style which is entered in the textfield and uses the formats from SO10 text like they were defined in the smartforms style?
Is this correct so far?
Now the special questions:
(1) What happens if a style is added, but the style does not exist as smartforms style. Which font etc. will be used then?
(2) What happens if a style is added, but the format of SO10 text does not exist in the smartform style?
In both cases it looks like SAP takes some "default" style, but where does it come from?
