Mainstage always crashes after I upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion. Doesn't matter if I choose 32bit or 64bit mode. I sent all the error reports to Apple but no help from there. I heard rumours that Mountain Lion creates the problem. With Lion I had no problem. Logic Pro runs without issues. So what can I do now? Do I have to reinstall Logic Studio and then download all the updates again? Hopefully not.. Any advice? Thanks to all! Ben
Try delete the mainstage preferences
from USER/library/preferences com.apple.mainstage.plist
even if you are running mainstage 2.1.3 and not 2.2.2 it should work with mountain lion

In Message Menu > Preference > Accounts you should at least have the iMessage Account (Which is Enabled) and th Bonjour one that most likely is not.
After that if you had iChat type AIM valid Screen Names or Jabber IDs in an earlier OS then the System Preferences > Mail, Contacts and Calendars should list them and have them set to be used with Messages.
There is a vague chance that you have not set these up yet (you can do it in Messages or Mail, Contacts and Calendars)
Once you have a t least one other "Account" other than th iMessage one in Messages then the Buddy List option will appear next to CMD and 1 in the Window menu list.
NEXT
If you go to the General Section of the Messages Preferences you can unlink several Buddy lists if you have them (By default they are shown as one gathered Buddy list)
I Have several Accounts logged in (AIM valid and Jabber ones)

Have you checked activity monitor to see if any apps or processes are takin up a large percentage of the CPU? -
How can i upgrade to OSX Mountain Lion other than from the app store?
I am trying to upgrade to OSX Mountain Lion from OSX Lion but i get this message:
"We could not complete your purchase. The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."
Further I am able to download other programs from the app store (like growl) but it does not work for Mountail Lion ????
I looked through the forum and one post said that i have to use lion recovery to reinstall osX lion but then it defetes the objective of upgrading.

Will upgrading to osx mountain lion upgrade my Logic Pro 9.1.6 to 9.1.7?
I wanna know if upgrading m computer to osx mountain lion will upgrade my Logic Pro to it's current update to 9.1.7.
I wanna upgrade to the new osx im worried if it will update all my software as wellFirst, you can (and should) always back up your copy of Logic before updating, that way you can always go back to the earlier version if you need it. If you do that you might as well update to the latest version of Logic.
Going to 10.8 won't update Logic, but you'd probably want to update Logic (and most other apps) to the newest versions if you do a major OS update like that. -
USB- hub stopped working after upgrading to OSX Mountain lion
I have a macbook pro 13 inch, year 2011.
On my desk, I attach it to a thunderbolt display. To those USB-ports, I attached the belkin desktop USB hub (model F4U017) with 7 USB ports.
All worked fine and without a glitch untill I upgraded to OSX Moutain Lion.
Suddenly it won't connect annything I plug into it.
All the cables of the hubb still work fine, those have been tested.
When I tested the hub with a very old iMac (i think still with leopard it), it worked again.
To be sure, I also tested a 4-port hub without external power supply on moutain lion. That one still works fine.
How come my 7-port hub won't work any longer? How can I make it work?Not sure. Might be an issue with the USB drivers in mountain lion.
I've had an issue with a couple hubs not working after plugging back into my macbook pro while it's on.
Fixed by restarting my computer, but that's super annoying and takes me back to my Win 95 days. Never saw this issue before I upgraded to mountain lion. -

Does anyone know how to eliminate the "jumping mail icon" that stems from iCloud not connecting correctly? After upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion I have not been able to receive e-mails from my icloud account. I can send email with both my acccounts (including icloud) and I can receive email with my alternative account. All my servers have been previously working with Lion. I guess this might have to do with the identification of my ingoing mail server that is currently set as “p-03-imap.mail.me.com”. Am I correct? and how can I change my ingoing mail specification to get Mail working? Please help me! Thank you!
I am having the same or a similar problem. When I open iCloud in system preferences and tick on Mail I get the message 'mail can't enabled at this time - Wait a moment and then try turning on Mail again'. I did this several times and it didn't work. I then completely turned off iCloud completely and restarted it, but I was still unable to access mail using iCloud (I was, however, able to access all of the other iCloud services). I then waited three days, to see if the issue would resolve its self, but it hasn't. Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this would be appreciated.

after just a few days after downloading OSX Mountain Lion when I turned the computer on, the screen was white. Stayed white. I had to go onto another
computer to find out what to do. What caused this and will this happen again?Did you see a circle made of light grey hash marks in the center/bottom of the screen? My iMac is 5 years old and for every update until 10.8.2 I would get the same white screen and the first few times I paniced and thought the machine was broken! Just let it play out until the desktop comes back up and it should not do it again until you do a system update.
