Make columns editable in a selected row of SALV

Hello ,
I have a requirement,im using SALV for listing some records,On lead select of a row in SALV,i need to make two columns of that selected row editable and make the remaining in display mode.
Useful answers would be rewarded.

Changing the type of a single field in a column is i think not possible. you can make whole column editable.
I will suggest you a solution-- when a row is selected for editting , you can display that row in another alv or table with single row and provide the record for editiing.

Hello. I am trying to figure out how i can get the first columns cell within a selected row no matter what cell is selected in that row. I have a class that extends AbstractTableModel which represents the table. Now i have another class that extends DefaultSelectionModel. Each model is added to the JTable via setModel(TableModel dataModel), setSelectionModel(ListSelectionModel newModel). Now i don't understand what i have to return from getMaxSelectionIndex(). How to make column editable in Normal ALV report

Hi experts,
                   I Have one push button In ALV tool bar like Fields to be change..when i click this..i need to get one pop up with all fields which is having in Filedcatalog..so i need to doule click on any field which i want to be midified..then in ALV that particular entire column should be editable.Can anybody please help me what is procedure to get pop up with fields..

How to get column value of a selected row of ALV

Hello ,
I have application POWL POWL_UI_COMP uses another component POWL_TABLE_COMP.
This POWL_TABLE_COMP uses SALV_WD_TABLE.
I want to select value of ORDER id and it need to be passed whenever user selects a display order button(Which is self defined function generated in POWL_TABLE_COMP) . I am calling a display order on action of this display button(http://nap60.nalco.one.net:8042/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/mt_order_app?IV_ACTIVITYTYPE=A&IV_EQUIPMENT=aaaa&IV_ORDERID=90001511&IV_ORDERTYPE=STD&IV_QMNUM=00&IV_TPLNR=00)
ORDERID is one column value of selected row of ALV table.
So please can you suggest , how to read ORDERID and pass it to the self defined function..

TableModel has method
boolean isCellEditable(int rowIndex,
int columnIndex)
so you need to make your table model return false for these rows.

I guess you have created the node as dynamic and also set this to the ALV..
1. Have you created READ_ONLY attribute of type wdy_boolean inside the node to which the ALV is bound..If not create it first and set the default value for this readonly as abap_true...ie X.
2. Got the contents in the internal table.
bind the table to the node..
3.Instantiate the ALV.
4. Now get teh column refrences of this ALV using the cl_salv_wd_config_table..and for columns
use the cell editor type as cl_salv_wd_uie_input_field...
loop through the column references and for all refrences create an object of type Input field and inside this class
use the method set_read_only_field_name ( 'READ_ONLY' ).
For the table settings if_salv_wd_table_settings of cl_salv_wd-config_table.. set the read only mode as abap_false..
5 create the custom button in the ALV using the cl_salv_wd_fe_button..
6 In this go for the events ON_FUCNTION and inside this method..do the coding
7 .Initially the table will be set to non editable..

Get the refernece of this node to which the ALV is bound.....

Interactive Report: how to get value of given row/col cell in selected row

Hi -- I have an interactive report. Instead of the default behavior of the link going to a single row view, I want it to
go to a form for editing the row. This means I have to be able to populate the form w/ the correct row's information...
so need to get the value(s) for the PK column(s) in the selected row of the interactive report, so I can select the row
from the database.
How can I do this? I see in the report attributes, Link Column section, I can set Rows Uniquely Identified by, and a Unique
Column (though there could be more than one in a PK). I imagine I'd want to use the rowid, but I'm not sure how the
rowid of the selected IR row can be referenced. And at that point, I'm not sure how to get the IR column value for
that row. (Say I'm on the 8th row and I need the first column... How is the column referenced? By a number, it's name,
its heading?)
Or maybe I'm not on the right track at all...

What I´m trying to do is: defining a button such as when you click it a pl-sql procedure is called, which needs as an input parameter the id of the row selected in my form. what I need first, then, is to get the id of the selected row. how did you get it?

Copying a value from one attribute value binding to another one is easy when you are clicking a button, with a setActionListener:

How can this be done? I already created a custom selectionListener for the table in a backing bean. In this selectionListener, the first thing I do is call the default "#{bindings.EmployeesView1.collectionModel.makeCurrent}". Then I fetch the current row, which is also no problem. So I now have access to the value of SourceField in my selectionListener in the backing bean. The only thing that is left now is copying this value to the "#{bindings.DestinationField.inputValue}" in Java, and that's where I'm stuck. :-)
Or even better ofcourse, is there a declarative way to do this without Java code?
Help would be greatly appreciated!

Dynpro table - footer and highlight selected row

I have two questions reg. tables: WebAS 6.40 SP13
a) Although I set the property footerVisible to false, I do still have this navigation footer visible. Is there another condition which must be met in order to hide it (e.g. design alternating works only in readOnly mode)?
b) Is there a way to have selectionMode Single without this box in the first column (only highlighting the selected row with this orange frame).

Thanks folks for your support. Maybe I should have described what I am going to do: I want to realize a table where the first two columns are fixed, while the rest of the columns are scrollable (horizontally).
I have used two tables, both referring to the same model (singleton). The second table (to the right) is in a scrollable container, so I can scroll horizontally. For the user this looks like one table, only the second part is scrollable. All works fine, except for the two things I have posted:
a1) Since I already have a footer for navigation in the first table, I want to hide the one in the second table.
a2) In the NWStudio the footer is hidden when I set footerVisible false, but in the Browser it is still there.
b1) Since I have already the lead selection boxes in the first table, I do not need it in the second.
b2) However, I still want to indicate the selected row (spanning two tables). Since the same(!) model data are used, this works when I have selection mode single. I do not even have to program anything, any selection in the first table highlights the same row in the second - only I do not want to have the boxes twice.

Editing Cell Column of a selected row in UI table element.

Hi Experts,
I have a UI Table Element with three columns. First two columns are input fields in read only mode. Third column is a text edit field.
Now when I Select a row and press a button 'EDIT' i want that particular rows third column CELL alone to be in editable mode.
In order to achieve this, I created a WDY_BOOLEAN attribute in the same node which is used to bind the table. I binded this attribute to the READ ONLY property of third column.
In the EDIT button i wrote the following code.

Here A_EDIT is the name of the attribute.
When i do this, my first rows third column is only going to EDIT mode and not the row which i selected.

The link given above is for the UI element 'Table' and does not pertain to ALV.
To Make an ALV Editable on lead selection for that particular lead selected row.
1. The ALV should be made lead selectable, when initializing
2. The ON_LEAD_SELECT function should be invoked.
3. Withing this function the index has to be retrieved to know which row was selected.
4. Based on the index retrived all the columns have to pass FALSE to read_only in the column properties.

I am using Jdev 10.1.3.4.
I am having a ADF multiselect table. I want to make a column inputText readonly/editable base on the row selection.
Let say, if I select the 1st row checkbox the corresponding inputText has to be editable. While deselecting it has to be readonly.
How can I do this?

Thanks for your valuable suggestion.
I will write a method for calculation in AMImpl,will expose it to the client interface and execute it from the backing bean.
But, this calculation need to be done for each selected row. Now my question is as I am using selectBooleanCheckbox(not tableSelectMany component),how can I get the selected rows in the AmImpl method?
Please advise me.
