Make external jar put .xhtml files into web root

Hello-
I am trying to create a default login page for all projects. I don't want to have this file by itself in every project (I am using eclipse) because that would become a maintenance nightmare. Therefore, I want to include an external jar that will be sitting on our network that all projects can access. However, I need to be able to access the .xhtml file from this JAR and the only way I know of to do this is to have it somewhere in my WebContent folder.
Is there a way to have this .xhtml file available in each project? For example, if the project is called foo and bar.xhtml is in the external JAR, is there a way to call:
http://localhost:8080/foo/bar.xhtml?
Thanks in advance
~Zack

This won't be much help, but while there is no support for this "out of the box" so to speak, people had made schemes like this work. For example, see the Weblets project.

    I am very stupid that installing sun java, oracle jdbc driver etc....(because i must set a lot of thing such as classpath,java_home etc), Can i only use JBuilder to do that ?
    Or i must install oracle jdbc driver ?
    Thanks.

    My guess here is that Sun's JDBC-ODBC bridge doesn't handle the BLOB datatype. Most ODBC drivers don't support that datatype, so I wouldn't expect the bridge to.
    Is there a reason that you can't use the Oracle driver?

  • Uploading excel files into Web UI

    We are following the blog http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/CRMWebUI-UploadingdatafromExcelfiles
    to upload excel files into Web UI.
    The  problem which we are facing is that the values are not getting populated in the text are and in the
    event handler EH_ONSERVEREVENT, no values are being populated in lt_items table.
    It would be great if someone could help us with this.

    Hi Nidhi,
    I have tried the blog but due to some reason, could not get it worked out.
    But, If U are ok to use CSV input files, instead of excel, U can use the standard component "GS_FILE_UPLOAD" as a popup and upload the files into the required assignment blocks.

  • Trying to put a file into a table

    hello i am trying to put a file into a table but a don't know how to do it if somebody knows how to do it please send me an example.
    thanks a lot

    Hi
    The easier way is saved the excel file in CSV format and use the fm GUI_UPLOAD to read that file:
    DATA: TAB_FILE(1000) OCCURS 0.
    CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_UPLOAD'
      EXPORTING
        FILENAME = 'C:\MY_FILE.CSV'
      TABLES
        DATA_TAB = TAB_FILE.
    In TAB_FILE you'll have your file.
    If you want to create a dialog to search the file:
    parameters: p_file1 like rlgrap-filename.
    at selection-screen on value-request for p_file1.
    data: filetable type filetable,
          rc        type i.
      data wa_file like file_table.
      refresh filetable.
      call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>file_open_dialog
       EXPORTING
       WINDOW_TITLE            =
       DEFAULT_EXTENSION       =
       DEFAULT_FILENAME        =
       FILE_FILTER             =
       INITIAL_DIRECTORY       =
       MULTISELECTION          =
       WITH_ENCODING           =
        changing
          file_table              = filetable
          rc                      = rc
       USER_ACTION             =
       FILE_ENCODING           =
      exceptions
        file_open_dialog_failed = 1
        cntl_error              = 2
        error_no_gui            = 3
        not_supported_by_gui    = 4
        others                  = 5.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        if rc = 1.
          read table filetable into wa_file index 1.
          move wa_file-filename to p_file1.
        endif.
      endif.
    start-of-selection.
    DATA: TAB_FILE(1000) OCCURS 0,
          file type string.
    move p_file1 to file.
    CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_UPLOAD'
      EXPORTING
        FILENAME = file
      TABLES
        DATA_TAB = TAB_FILE.

  • __Is there a way to make a multi-layer Ai file into a multi-page PDF? (1 layer per page)

    __Is there a way to make a multi-layer Ai file into a multi-page PDF? (1 layer per page)
    thanks

    Definitely can be done.
    In CS 4 you create an artboard for each page and the position the art for the corresponding page on the corresponding artboard and make a layer for that art. This way it does not even matter if the layer s are properly layered when saving the pdf. Just as long as the artboards are.
    CS 3 and earlier  back a larger document that can be divided into whole pages by turning on tiling and using the page tool position that art.
    Position the art for each page over the designated artboard make a layer for each pages art now when you export the with tiling on and you wll get a multi page pdf.

  • Any example on how to put csv files under context-root

    Hi All,
    Where to put csv files under context-root, so that if i give the file link like http://server-name:port/context-root/folder-name/filename.csv to the end user, he/she needs to download the file automatically to his/her machine.
    Any examples or pointing to other threads will be help for me and highly appreciated.
    Naga.

    Hi Puthanampatti,
    Thanks for your quick response, the usecase i have is when a pl/sql proc generates the csv file in the utl/tmp directory in our database, and that file will get moved to the specific folder in app server.
    now that folder needs to be under the context root, so that we can pass a http link to the user and if he clicks on the link that file needs to get download automatically with the same authentication what we have given to the application.
    ADF version used: 10.1.3.5
    oracle iAS version: 10.1.3.4.0
    Database versoin: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi
    and also please guide us in which folder on the application server we need to move the files, so that whenever the user clicks on the link it should ask us the credentials. the security we used is LDAP authentication.
    thanks in advance.
    naga.

  • Java - referencing external jar and class files

    When compiling (loadjava) a Java class, how can an externally referenced '.jar file' be resolved please? Using '-resolve' doesn't do the job in this case.
    Many thanks.

    I think I've seen an option for this with manifest files (or was it something that had to do with the java plug-in). There was something about the version and only download a new version if it was newer than the one on your local computer. This version thing is something you define in the manifest file at least. Take a look at jar and manifest files, there might be something there.

    Hi,
    well normally you use the method GUI_UPLOAD of class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES to upload a file from your client pc. Then you use the abap statements open dataset, transfer and close dataset to put the file to the app-server.

  • Importing WAR file into Web Module Project

    Hi,
    I am brand new to SAP and i'm trying to help out with a proof of concept for our SAP rollout.  I am trying to import a J2EE application that currently runs on WebSphere 5.1 and was developed using WSAD.  I found a blog on the SAP site and it gave a simple run down of how to Migrate from WebSphere application server to SAP Application Server.
    Here is the link: /people/community.user/blog/2007/03/06/migrating-application-from-websphere-application-server-to-sap-was
    The steps seem simple enough yet I am having issues trying to import my WAR file into my Web Module Project in Netweaver.
    Step 4 gives the following instructions: Create a WEB Module Project and import the WAR file.
    Unfortunately, they do not give more detail besides Import the WAR file.  When I try importing my WAR file, it adds the WAR file in my Web Content folder.  I was expecting it to extract all my java classes and my jsp files but this is not the case.  To do this, I right clicked on my Web Module Project while in the J2EE Explorer view and selected import file and selected my WAR.  I'm assuming this is not correct.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Phil

    Hi Phil!
    You don't need to create previously a web module to import the war then.
    I'm assuming you're using NWDS (Netweaver Developer Studio). Try this. In NWDS: File -> Import... ->
    then, select "WAR file". After that, you need to inform the path of you WAR file and automatically it will fill in the name of your project, that you can change if you desire. After that, click in Finish and it's all.
