Makepkg fails if upper case md5 strings are used.

makepkg fails if upper case md5 strings are used. For example
9e107d9d372bb6826bd81d3542a419d6
and
9E107D9D372BB6826BD81D3542A419D6
for makepkg are not the same thing. Is it a feature or a bug?

  • Create user for CPS in _ UPPER CASE LETTERS _ if using JSM on SolMan

    only create users for CPS in UPPER CASE LETTERS if using JSM on SolMan
    Dear CPS Admins,
    If you plan to use Job Scheduling Management (JSM) on SAP Solution Manager together with CPS by Redwood please always create any users in CPS only with upper case letters to avoid issues in the communication between SolMan and CPS.
    The user creation for CPS is done in the UME (Java user administration, alias /useradmin).
    Actually the CPS user itself is only created in CPS during the first logon.
    Both CPS and the Java UME are case sensitive. So you can create users in uppercase, lowercase or mixed letters. But of course the system does still not allow duplicate names. So you can either create MUELLERP, MuellerP or muellerp - but not multiple of them.
    Now, if the SolMan communicates with CPS for Job Scheduling, the actual user name is taken in some kind of a "trusted RFC like" way and checked on the CPS system connected to the SolMan. If the current SAP user does not exist on CPS no activities are possible, neither in read mode (read existing CPS jobs) nor in write mode (change existing jobs or create new ones).
    Unfortunately the Solution Manager transmits the current user name to CPS only in upper case letter. So if the CPS user was not created in UPPERCASE letters in CPS the communication will fail. Therefore, think about creating CPS users in UME only in UPPERCASE letters. Changing this later is difficult to impossible.
    Best regards,
    Peter

    hi,
    I tried to reproduce your issue but I was not able to create a UME user with lower case letters.
    UME automatically converted the user name into upper case after saving. So even if I enter "cps" as user name UME stored the user name as "CPS".
    (maybe that happend because of the existing SU01-UME integration in our SolMan system)
    If UME would be case sensitive I would expect that it is possible to create the user "CPS", "cPs" and "cps".
    Regarding the SolMan-CPS connectivity:
    Transaction SU01 allows only upper case letters (in user name and alias). Since you're starting from an ABAP system only user names with upper case letters are supported. It's a technical constraint of the ABAP user management that user names consist of upper case letters only.
    Kind regards,
    Martin

  • Failed to convert Clob to String by using dbms_lob.substr

    it says that the cache is not enough to do this.
    I would like to get some infos from two tables as a View.
    and one of the table contains a Clob data which is large
    than 4k i think.
    and when I tried to create the view, it says that expecting

    dbmas_lob.substr function and met the cache limited problem.
    The database I am using is 10.2.0.1.0.

    Thanks for reply.

  • How can I read an input which only contain the 26 upper case letter

    Are there any method that can read an input which only contain 1 character and it is in upper case too.
    should I use readChar( ), or readString( )??
    How should I implement them if I do use one of them?

    Try this :
    import java.io.*;

    public static void main(String[] x)
    System.out.println("Upper case char typed : "+readUpperCaseChar());
    public static char readUpperCaseChar()

    char x='\0',tmp='\0';
    try

  • Question about water damage to upper case

    Hey everybody.
    I recently sent in the MacBook that I got a year ago for repairs. Apple determined that there was water damage to the logic board, battery, and "top case,", which, while disappointing, was not altogether surprising since a few days earlier I had coughed a mouthful of water all over the computer.
    Anyway, I'm resigned to replacing the logic board and battery (although not through Apple - too expensive!), but I'm curious as to what, exactly, water damage to the upper case (I'm assuming that's the same as the top case) would be. The upper case is simply the plastic area with the keyboard and trackpad, correct? If it's plastic ... how can there be water damage? Or, perhaps more importantly, if I replace the battery and logic board, will the water damage to the upper case prevent me from using the MacBook? I suppose the keyboard/trackpad could be affected, but is that necessarily the case?
    I don't care if the computer looks pretty - I just want it to work. I can get the case for $50 off eBay; considering that the logic board will set me back $450, that's not THAT bad, but it's still $50 I'd rather, you know, spend on the logic board. Without which I am positive that my computer will not work.
    Anyway, thanks for any input/help, and may you be luckier in the timing of your coughs than I.

    The top case consists of the keyboard, trackpad, and power button. There is some electronic circuitry in there, which is likely what Apple was referring to as being damaged. I am not aware of such a "liquid sensor"....sounds more like a conspiracy theory to me. Liquid damage typically manifests itself as corrosion on the logic board, which is fairly easy to detect in a visual inspection. Other clues might be stains/discoloration from residue in the liquid, or perhaps the overwhelming smell of the beer.....
    As to your second question, my understanding is that you voided your warranty when you got water on your computer. I do not believe that the warranty is "restored" after a non-warranty repair, although depending on your location, local laws may dictate something different.
    The repair work specific to your current situation may be warrantied, but you should ask and find out for yourself. I don't believe you will be covered for any other potential future defects in the computer.
    This is one reason why I typically don't buy into the whole extended warranty thing - especially for portable electronics. In the vast majority of cases, it's simply a cash cow for the party selling it. And since laptops are much more prone to accidents that would result in voided warranties, I personally feel the risk of losing the money you invest in an extended warranty is too high.
    Now, if Apple offered a comprehensive replacement policy on their laptops(that covered accidents), I would most definitely consider investing in that kind of protection plan.

  • TextEdit - "lower-case" an upper-case string?

    I’m using TextEdit to draft postings for my favourite blogs. And I'm forever accidentally pushing the caps-lock down on my PB, resulting in a long upper case string.
    I used to use BBEdit on Classic for my text drafting purposes. It had a very handy ‘change case‘ to any highlighted string and variations option. I’ve been too mean to upgrade to newer BBEdit apps so:-
    Is there some sort of an add-on out there for TextEdit (or maybe I’ve somehow missed the option) that will permit me to select a string and “lower-case” it?

    Yah.
    I know there are alternatives (a) we have a copy of Word which I think does it and (since I’m running Classic) I can always revert to my old BBEdit Lite for the time being. Thing is, I’ve built up a huge library of blog-style pseudo-html macros using QuicKeys that work perfectly now in TextEdit. So I’m reluctant to abandon TextEdit. Also I prefer something light for this sort of purpose. The Old BBEdit was great in that way.
    Thanks for the for the Word Service idea. I’ve done the download and will see if it helps.
    *I can’t seem to find the suggested Caps Lock disable in 10.3.9* - which is what I using on my PB... If I could do that, it might be a reasonable kludge even if I do sometimes currently use the Caps Lock for real.
    I've even considered writing a Quickeys Macro to copy the text into and boot Classic BBEdit, do the business there and copy it back but I'm not sure it would work across OSes - even if I do have an older QuicKeys in my Classic side.

  • Set Oracle to force searching string by upper case

    Our application using Oracle 11.1 and Hibernate. Data store in our database in mix cases. many of our queries are like select first_name from persons where upper(first_name) like 'DAV%'
    It returns Dave, DAVE, dave, David, DAVIE etcAccording to our developers, Hibernate does not send query select first_name from persons where upper(first_name) like 'DAV%' it only doesselect first_name from persons where first_name like 'DAV%'This only return DAVE and DAVID.
    Question: Is there a way to set Oracle, at database level or table level, to always search by upper case, that is, select first_name from persons where first_name like 'DAV%' is converted to select first_name from persons where upper(first_name) like 'DAV%'

    Yes, there is a way. New in 10GR2....
    You can set NLS_COMP.
    http://www.orafaq.com/node/91
    I tested it and it works well...
    Example: SQL>  alter session set NLS_COMP=ANSI;
    Session altered.
    SQL> alter session set NLS_SORT=BINARY_CI;
    Session altered.
    SQL> select name from names where name = 'Johny Jacobson';
    NAME
    Johny Jacobson
    johny jacobson
    JOHNY JACOBSONI hope you find this helpful.

  • BigString to Big String - how do I detect index of upper case?

    bigString to Big String - how do I detect index of upper
    case?
    Is there a way to detect, insert space and replace the upper
    case letters in a string?

    Something like this?
    <CFOUTPUT>#REReplace("bigString", "[A-Z]"," "&
    Mid("bigString", REfind("[A-Z]", "bigString"),
    1))#</CFOUTPUT>
    This will at least give you a break at the first upper case
    letter. You can then replace the first character in the result with
    an upper case as well, which I didn't do, since I figured that you
    knew how to do that.
