Making a graph with a voltage input on each axis with a continous curve display

I need to make a graph that can display two voltages, with one of the voltages on each axis.  I have accomplished this by using an xy graph.  The problem is I need a curve to be displayed as the voltages change similar to the curve displayed in the waveform chart.  Currently, a line is displayed between the inital point and the final point but it then disappears.

Hello again.
I should have explained my example more.  I used the same signal for both the X and Y inputs of my XY graph, so the linearly increasing line is expected behavior.  In order to do what you want, you need to use a split signal VI after the DAQ Assistant express VI.  Once you place the split signal VI on the block diagram you can expand it so that it has two output nodes and wire them to the X and Y input terminals of the Build XY Graph express VI.
Similarly, for the array example, you can use the split signal and then use two build array VIs.   In order to reset the graph you can just initialize the shift registers with a zero to clear the graph each time it runs.  This will clear the graph at the beginning of each run (and not at the end).

  • Line Graph with Multiple Series not displayed(Install Missing Plugins)

    Hi All,
I have created a Graph - Line Graph.
I have created more then one Series.
The graph is not being displayed, it asks to download missing plugins.
Where as when I have a singe chart series the graph is displayed.
What are the missing plugins, where can I find those.
    I am using Mozilla 5.0.

  • XY Graph with two Y inputs

I need to know how to graph a XY graph with two values of Y. I need to it to compare to different angles and I also would like to make them graph different colors. Currently i have an XY graph with one Y input using the XY Graph express VI. I found out how to set up for two simultaneous plots by editing the properties for the graph but I don't know how I can input another Y value to plot using the XY Graph express VI.
    Thank You,
    Phil

I never use the express functons but I think what will work is to use the merge signal function. Try merging the two x inputs together and merging the two y inputs together. I made a modification to the shipping example called Lissajous.vi  to try a quick test.

  • How can i control graph with two inputs?

    Hi,
i would like to ask you about the graph with two inputs
Normally, if i just give one input, they generate the graph with this input(y) vs time(x).
But now i would like to get the graph with my two inputs in x axis and y axis .
i want to control both of two axis. How could i do for it ?
i attached the file that i try to use "Build XY graph" to control both x and y axis with random number .
It can run but i don't know how come the graph show nothing. .
Actually , it have to show something like wavefrom continuously. am i right?
Could you tell me a way to solve it ?
    >>>
what i want to get is ..
    in Graph,
for x axis , ditance (always increases)
for y axis , vibration (vary)
    >>>
Thank you so much for your time . I am looking forward your kindly reply.

    Hi NI9233,
Mind me to interrupt, I am just helping Mike to explain what he meant to you, refer to the graph:
    Picture 1:
Double click on Build XY Graph, uncheck the clear data on each call
    Picture 2 and 3:
Change your formula node into +1 Basic Function in Functions Pallette.
    Hope that helps!
PS: I am sorry for the size of the image, seems I made a mistakes when I saved the picture.

  • How do I make a continuous X-Y graph with an array as input?

I want to create an X-Y graph with a reference time (double) as one variable and the other is a double data type. How can I create a continuous graph on an X-Y graph with these variables? I have only been using Labview for 2 months so if you have any suggestions please go easy on the technical terms.
    TIA,
    Kevin

LabVIEW what several options for displaying data. A waveform chart is great if you receive one point at a time and want to plot the data in series. A waveform graph is good for plotting arrays in a time series fashion. An xy plot is good for connecting points that do not occur in a series. This plot offers the most flexibility in graphing points with different x values.
It is often hard to keep what structure goes two what display option. As a cheat, I right click on the chart in the block diagram and slide the mouse to create >> (either a constant or control). This way you can get a model for the data you want to input.
You may also want to look at the shipping examples that come with LabVIEW. In LabVIEW 6.1, goto help >> find examples >> fundamen
    tals >> graphs and charts.

  • How to draw xy graph with multiple y axis input?

    Hi,
I have problem in xy graph, the xy graph only can show 1 signal from the y axis input ( As you can see in the attachment )
Is it possible to draw xy graph with 2 Y input? Or maybe there are another type of graph that possible to do this?
Note:  the x axis should be from an input too ( not versus time / sample ).
All answer and advice are welcomed.
    Best regards,

Are you asking for a second Y scale on the graph?
If so, right click on the existing scale, select "Duplicate Scale". This will create a second scale. You can then (if you wish), right click on the new scale a select "Swap Sides" to put it on the other side of the graph.
Are you asking about adding a second plot?
If so then you need to bundle your arrays of X and Y points into clusters and build those into an array:
The X-axis is always from an input on the XY Graph. You just need to change the axis title. Easiest way to do this is to double click on the axis title and type the new name.

  • How to create ONE graph with a growth trend ($ and %)?

I would like to create a graph with a growth trend.
The graph should have figures on one side reflecting $ values and on the other % growth.
I cannot make a trend on the same graph and usually spend ages adding another graph to show the trend. I end up making 2 graphs instead of one.
Please refer to the following really basic graph that will give you an idea.
    ex : http://www.tellurideareahomes.com/images/graph1.jpg
Can anyone show how to do that?

What you want requires a bit of trickery.
    Chart the bar graph
    Chart the trend
then move the trend one above the bar one after setting its background to none.
If this workaround is not OK for you,
_Go to "Provide Numbers Feedback" in the "Numbers" menu_, describe what you wish.
Then, cross your fingers, and wait _at least_ for iWork'09 (possibly for iWork '99)

  • Formating Line thickness for lines in graphs with more than 6 lines.

I have a line graph with more than 6 lines on it and I'm trying to make them all 1px.
I can specify a line thickness for the first 6 lines but after that, the lines go back to the default thickness.
Is it possible to change the default line thickness for a graph or format the line thickness for the 7th line and more?

Good news! I found out how to format more than 6 lines of data and it's really simple to do!
In the bottom left hand corner of the Format Chart Data, next to the Clear All button, is a button marked ADD.
If you click this button, another row is added allowing you to format the 7th line of data.
Click again and you get a row for the 8th line and keep clicking to add more lines.
I'm making a note of it here in case it is useful to someone out there who searches on this problem in the future.

  • Making a Directory with alumni information...Templates to use?

I am making a directory with alumni information for my high school reunion. In one part of the book, I want to list bio information along with a current pix. In the back of the book, I want to alphabetize everyone's name and address and then cross-reference which page their bio is on. Can anyone tell me how to go about doing that? I want the end result to be a booklet (with 81/2 inch by 11 inch paper folded in half). I tried using one of the Pages templates (I believe it is the one for cooking because it was the only one I could find in the brochure section that was not a tri-fold). I am finding that it took so long to put just one page together. I need to be able to do it rather quickly since there are over 100 people already attending and I can't take forever to do this project. I would appreciate any input from anyone on this subject.
    Thanks in advance.

I would start on a Word Processing blank document, Not a Page layout document. I'd use A4 paper size but I guess you'll have to use the US letter size.
When I have created the bios of the people I would use a Heading style for their names. By doing this I can make a Table of Contents of there names. Don't forget adding page number.
The table of Contents (TOC) will be created in the beginning of the brochure. Select the TOC and copy the content. Open TextEdit and Paste. To alphabetise you need to get the free app WordServices from [http://www.devon-technologies.com/products/freeware/services.html]
do the alphabetising and copy and paste the text in the end of your Pages document. The TOC is the very last thing you should do before making the booklet.
Save the document. I hope you have done that many times during the process creating it. And also save it as a PDF document.
To make the booklet get either the app BookLightning 1.7.2 or Create Booklet PDF Service 1.1
These application will take your document and create a booklet with the right pagination.

  • HT201700 Voltage input range for original Macbook air 2008/2009

My charger (A1244 | 45w) no longer works. And I need to buy a new charger. Since this is for an old 2008 macbook air, the smart thing to do is buy a charger that will work with new models (that require 85w).
Apple doesn't make this power tolerance specification easily available online. This page is helpful, but doesn't provide the tolerance specification....
Intel-Based Apple notebooks: Identifying the right power adapter and power cord - Apple Support
    Question:
I want to make sure that the (minimum) voltage input range for my original macbook air is between 14V and 18.5V.
Does anyone have a definitive answer for this?

"the smart thing to do is buy a charger that will work with new models (that require 85w)."
No, the smart thing is to buy the proper replacement for the power adapter.  Since the power adapter connector has changed, you'll also need to purchase an adapter for the MagSafe connector.

  • How to make a compass graph with Numbers?

Hi, I did a search for compass graphs and there are a few excel examples, do you know if there are any Numbers, versions, and user friendly ones at that. As I am not a mathematician. Basically I am plotting the frequency of doorway directions to compass points, e.g. N, NNW,NW,W, on a bar chart, but the paper I am comparing it to, has used a compass graph, with the freqency as longer lines eminating from the compass point depending on the number of doorways.
The directions could be input as degrees if required. Any help appreciated

    Hi Nanouk,
A compass graph would certainly be appropriate for this data, but that chart type is not available in Numbers.
You can fake it with a little work, though.
Arrange the data in pairs as shown. Note that the values in column C are expressed as negatives.
Create four Stacked Bar charts, one from each data pair. You will need to click the three bar icon that appears at the upper left of the selection to change it from horizontal to vertical. That makes Numbers consider the pair as parts of the same series, and stack the two bars.
Open the Chart Inspector and for each chart, remove everything except the actual bar, and for now, the Label on the X axis (if this helps identify which graph shows each pair). Set the Y Max to the maximum expected value, Steps to 1 and Y Min to the negative of the Max value. Use the Pen and Fill controls in the Toolbar to set the Fill colour to None and the Line to None.
Switch to the Metrics Inspector (ruler icon) and set the size of each chart to the same values (I used 0.5 wide and 4.88 high (with Max Y set to 10).
Drag (or use the arrow keys, with or without the shift key) the four charts into place.
Add as many circles (from the Shape button—be sure to set Fill to None) as you want and drage them into position.
I left the bars in the default colours to assist in lining them up correctly. Those colours can be changed by clicking on the individual bar, then using the Fill well.
Too fiddley? You could just dump the data into NeoOffice and use that to create a Compass chart.
Here's one produced from the same data set.
Graph from NeoOffice (same data, in single column, all positive values).

    Barry

  • What's the voltage input needed to run and charge the iPad 4?

What's the voltage input needed to run and charge the iPad 4?

As long as the charger is rated for at least 10 watts or 2 amps it well charge the iPad just fine. A higher rated charger such as the 12 watt 2.4 amp charger will also charge the iPad, possibly a little faster, but it will not damage it. Chargers rated at 5 watts or 1 amp may charge an iPad very slowly if not at all.
Just be aware some cheaper dual port USB chargers share the 2 amps. It will charge an iPad in one port but adding another will reduce the current to both ports to 1 amp. An iPhone may charge fine but the power would be reduced to the lower level and slow an iPad charging on the other port. The one you link to will work fine although it looks as though one port is 5 watt/1 amp and the other is 10 watt/2 amp. There are many adapter's available that will supply 10 or 12 watts to both ports to future proof the charger giving you the capability to charge 2 iPads or other more demanding smart phones with larger batteries. I like Scosche reVolt chargers, they cost a little more but they are a quality product. If you want the best option go with a 12 watt charger which can speed up charging on many products a little more than a 10 watt can.

What you don't specify is how the new nodes are being supplied.  If they are supplied up front, then the loop will of course terminate once all the inputs are addressed, rather than going on forever.  If they are being supplied from time-to-time,
then you need to have some sort of event-wait on input.  The traversal could have a move-next something like this
If at end of tree with no new nodes, wait for input
If at end of tree, with input, reset to start
If at insertion point for new node at top of input queue, insert that
Move to next node in tree
This seems the sort of thing that would naturally be coded in a functional language as a tail recursion rather than an iteration.

  • Can 24VDC be safely applied to a voltage input on module 777518-110?

I have a Fieldpoint IO rack with only analog inputs available as spares. I want to use one of these analog voltage inputs sdimply as a on / off monitor for a 24VDC signal. Do I need to lower this voltage to say 10V or can I simply apply the 24V to the input without causing damage to the module?

    Hello DMoyer,
The FP-AI-100 and FP-AI-102 have voltage ranges of ±30 V and ±120 V, respectively.  However, the FP-AI-110 only has a maximum voltage range of ±10 V, so you would need to lower the voltage to be within this range to avoid damage to the module.
