Making an email form dynamic?

I have a registration form here:
www.pitlanepass.com/pages/register.php
I'm in the very early stage of learning php so the form is created in dreamweaver and emailmeform.com so save that bullet for later!!
I have populated several fields using a mysql database and they display and email in a format i'm happy with. for now. The small issue I have is when the organisation is selected and the next field (class) is displayed it lists all classes from the four organisations. Some are repeated and the list is uneccessarily long. For example, Southern Supermoto has only 3 classes but lists all 25! This method allows a registrant to possibly select a class that doesn't exist. I've had similar issues elsewhere ith rider profiles but used $_GET to pull variables from the url but I don't think thats how to achieve it here. Any pointers would be most welcome!!
Here's the code snippet from the form...
<label>Organisation</label>
<select name="FieldData1">
<?php do { ?>
<option value="<?php echo $row_rsRegisterorgselect['orgname']; ?>"><?php echo $row_rsRegisterorgselect['orgname']; ?></option>
<?php } while ($row_rsRegisterorgselect = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsRegisterorgselect)); ?>
</select>
<br />
<label>Class</label>
<select name="FieldData2">
<?php do { ?>
<option value="<?php echo $row_rsClassregister['catname']; ?>"><?php echo $row_rsClassregister['catname']; ?></option>
<?php } while ($row_rsClassregister = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsClassregister)); ?>
</select>

I've now uploaded a working version of what I want to achieve but it's not the slickest of ways I don't believe. I use a jump menu form to put a value to orgname in the url. The main form then sits below and the class (categories in the code!) options (it's the riders skill and bike size) gets filtered by the orgname. It's stops a registrant from selecting an organisation/class combination that doesn't exist. I think it's a bit agricultural to use to use two forms and $_GET to achieve this though..The select statement is this:
mysql_select_db($database_connPitlane, $connPitlane);
$query_rsClassregister = sprintf("SELECT catID, catname FROM categories WHERE categories.catorganisation=%s ORDER BY catID ASC ", GetSQLValueString($varClassregister_rsClassregister, "text"));
$rsClassregister = mysql_query($query_rsClassregister, $connPitlane) or die(mysql_error());
$row_rsClassregister = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsClassregister);
$totalRows_rsClassregister = mysql_num_rows($rsClassregister);
and the html in the form snippet is this:
<label>Class</label>
    <select name="FieldData2" class="setwidth">
      <?php do { ?>
      <option value="<?php echo $row_rsClassregister['catname']; ?>"><?php echo $row_rsClassregister['catname']; ?></option>
     <?php } while ($row_rsClassregister = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsClassregister)); ?>
    </select>
Hopefully i've explained it enough but like I say, i'm really just starting out!! :-)

  • Little help with making an email form.

    can any of you lovely, lovely people point me in the
    direction of a good Dreamweaver CS3 tutorial on how to make an
    email form. Preferably one with a "conform email address" text
    field.
    Thanks all!
    P.S. I have tried looking.

    There is god general training available at www.lynda.com .
    Its $25 a month for online video viewing. The title is called
    Dreamweaver CS3 - Beyond the Basics.
    I also would recommend a free form mail solution like
    www.tectite.com which I have used before. It is more powerful that
    the spry widget in dreamweaver, but is on the server side and not
    the user application side.

  • Making email form with instructions in it?

    This might be a very basic question but I cant figure it out hehe ...I am trying to make an email form like on this site...
    http://www.timberline-resources.com/
    I know how to make the form but not with the "Enter Your Email".......I want to know how to do that...so that when you click in it it disappears...
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    T

    Your example site is all done with Flash which is not web-friendly.
    My solution below uses a bit of JavaScript to clear the input field when clicked.  If nothing is typed in the field, the field value 'Enter Email To Get Updates' comes back.
    <input type="text" name="Your-field-name-here" onclick="this.value='';"  onfocus="this.select()" onblur="this.value=!this.value?'Enter Email To Get Updates':this.value;"  value="Enter Email To Get Updates" />

  • Email form not coming through to inbox

    Hello everyone.
    I've built a email form in DW CS3 (It's a custom form, not something I got from godaddy or from internet), but when you type in the info, from the form it is not coming to the inbox once you hit send. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    I'm using godaddy. In "action" I have: /gdform.php (Post).

    You have this:

    which should be
      <input name="recipient" type="hidden" id="recipient" value="[email protected]" />
    ...but I don't know if current gdform.php processor uses the recipient field, or some other mechanism. Try fixing the typo and if it still doesn't work you need to contact GD for support.

    J'ai pensé qu'il y avait peut-être eu un souci au moment de l'instal de PSE11, mais en comparant les fichiers sur le disque dur et sur le CD d'origine tout à l'air normal.
    C'est tout à fait possible.
    Quand un outil ou un des ses menus ne fonctionne pas, la première action à tenter est restaurer les préférences : menu Edition/préférences/général. Cliquer sur 'Réinitialiser les préférences au prochain démarrage'. L'avez-vous essayée ?

  • BP address data in  Email form

    Hello,
    When I create a campaign with communication channel as "email", how can I automatically add business partner address data ( Those BP's which are in the target group) when sending emails?
    Is there a standard functionality available?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You can use the Personalized mail functionality of the CRM for adding BP address in the email form. This is the standard functionality of the CRM 5.0.
    In t code CRMD_EMAIL while creating the text of the mail form drag and drop address attributes from the left hand side Object / Attribute Business partner.
    In Business partner Object you will get all the fields of the Business Partner including Street1 street2 City, POBox etc. Drag and drop these attributes wherever you want on the mail form text.
    Hope this will help.....

    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
    (Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)

  • How to make a form dynamic so that it displays different logos at runtime

    I am working on some assignment wherein I would like to make a form dynamic so that in it's designated image holder it displays different logos/pictures at run time? First of all is there such a possibility?? I am still very new to this forum and also trying to understand the logic/bindings/heirarchy etc. in LCD. Any input would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    LC 7 or 8 does not help load logs at runtime. However you can associate all your logs at design time and control their visibility property based on the events. This may help fulfill the requirements you have to an extent however adding number of images at design time will increase the size of the template.

  • How can I attach a document to the answering email form?

    How can I attach a document to the answering email form?

    Hi;
    I am not sure what you mean by the answering email form, can you describe a bit more what you are looking to do?  Do you mean the "Email Receipt" that you can set up so the form filler receives an email after submitting their form?
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Can I create an email form that includes a field for uploading and image?

    I'd like to create an email form in Muse that allows people to submit the usual text but also allows them to browse for and upload an image that would be emailed (attached or inline) to me along with the text.
    Does anyone know if there's a way to do that directly in Muse?
    Thanks.

    Which form?
    Many of the forms are created with LiveCycle ES so it might be possible to edit the form with Acrobat X Professional. If you have the data in an SQL database, you could possibly create a data connection and import the data into the form and save a copy of the completed form. You can also use the Acrobat JavaScript 'importTextData' to import a row of data from a tab delimited data file.
    You might want to talk to other Real Estate professionals to see how they are going do this. If you have a property management program, that program might have an update to perform this task.

    Hi,
    I have a problem.
    How to make an Interactive form Dynamic while saving it in NWDS(NetweaverDeveloperStudio).
    Helpful answer is highly rewarded and Highly Appreciated.

    Hello Sankar,
    Do the following:
    1) In your Adobe Livecycle Designer, Select, Edit > Form Properties, in the Default tab, set u201CPreview Typeu201D to u201CInteractive formu201D
    2)
    Assuming you are using Web Dynpro application, then do the following also:
    Place the following code in the wdDoModifyView method of the View where the form is placed.
              IWDInteractiveForm iForm1 = (IWDInteractiveForm) view.getElement("<name of your form here");
              iForm1.setDynamicPDF(true);
