Making cuts every 2 rows in a table

        I have this requirement:
         1) In one table, for example:
                     |       h1      |        h2       |      h3    |
                     |       rA1    |        rA2      |      rA3   |
                     |       rB1    |        rB2      |      rB3   |
                     |       rC1    |        rC2      |      rC3   |
                     |       rD1    |        rD2      |      rD3   |
        2) I want to make cuts every 2 rows to summarize this colummns in a new row. Example:

                    |         rA1    |        rA2     |       rA3   |
                    |         rB1    |        rB2     |       rB3   |
New Row            |   rA1+rB1      |    rA2+rB2     |   rA3+rB3   |

Any idea, for insert the new row every n rows ?

I don´t know how you have resolved this, but SAP recommends (and I recommen) to do this in backend/ ABAP (or Java) and display the result table with no scripting changes in the form.
It spares time, effort and performance of the app.

    Im using DW CS3.
    Basically I have a large table of 300+ rows. Because the rows contain  data with a row number in each row (ranking, first column), the table  would be easier to read if every 10 rows were shaded. 1-10, 21-30,  41-50, and so on.
    Id like to do it in some sort of head or css way, rather than manually  apply the shading to each section of rows, mainly because I use a  sortable javascript for the table header and Id like the shading to  remain static in spite of the sorts.  The data is also fluid so there  might be 325 rows one day and 333 rows the next.
    Any way to accomplish this with html/css markup?  Thanks!

  • Grab every row in a table in Hibernate?

    I can grab every row in a table using simple HQL when using Hibernate. I'm wondering if there's another way to do it besides using HQL. maybe like a built-in method like session.load()? except load() takes in a primary key value as a parameter and thus can only retrieve one row at a time.

  • Updating one row updates every row in the table

    I'm having a weird problem in which I insert a row into a table, select that row, and update its columns, and all the rows in the table end up with those columns all set to the new value. Like this:

    OpenBase powers Apple's online store, so I wouldn't think that's the problem. I'm placing all the blame on the JDBC driver.
    Funnily, I started updating ResultSets that way because executing UPDATE statements directly gave me this problem before. Doing it this way made the problem go away, until now.
    I tried replacing the INSERT with two fields with one with all the fields, and now it throws a SQL error that is most definitely bogus:
    java.sql.SQLException: SQL ERROR - [position 569, near '' in ', 0, 0, 0, ''] insert error: comma expected but not found in data.

    At this point I have to ask myself why I ever chose OpenBase in the first place. (That's right, I had a RealBasic plugin for it. shudders) I'm sure OpenBase itself is fine, but its JDBC driver is trash. MySQL here I come.

    In one recent interview I have been asked to write a SQL query to retreive Odd numbered rows from any table. At first I am confused on how to say whther a perticular row is odd or even. If it is based on rownum then rownum is not dynamic and every time the rownum changes for a perticular row. I finally used rowid for this puprpose, as you all of you know rowid is alphanumeric its not worked.
    Can you please posta query to retrive odd numbered rows if its possible.

If it were me, the answer would be to do the above and also explain that, without any definition of what constitutes "odd" and "even" this is the closest possible, but not an accurate science as there is no guarantee as to the order of the records.

  • Referencing rows within a table

    Hi all,
    I don't know if this has been brought up before, and believe me I have looked, but here goes...  I have a table with many tens of rows.  Cell 1 of those rows is a checkbox with the exit event scripted as (formcalc)

    What I want to do is not have to put the above script in each event of each checkbox.  So is there a way of referencing all the checkboxes at once and having the same result of making the associated row go hidden if not checked?
    Also, I have a reset button for the form that I want to be able to reset all row presences to visible when clicked.  I should mention here that the form has several tables all with checkboxes in cell one and all with add buttons that addInstances at the bottom of the tables that I do not want reset with the reset button.  In short, the tables list controlled documents that need to be reviewed annually and that because of the sheer volume of them will need to be parsed out, and the parsing may or may not be entire tables and the tables need to be able to be added to.  Here is what I have regarding the reset of the presences of the rows (I have only just begun):

    Hi,
    You can add one more button to your form. On click event of this button you can put script, which will loop througth all rows of your table and check checkbox, if it will be checked then hide is bot - leas as it is.
    If you want to hide row after click on checkbox, you have to put scripts to each of it.

    might not an option to reduce execution time.Yes, but I/O variances have a tendency to really skew the observed elapsed execution time - making execution time alone a poor choice to determine what SQL will perform better than another.
    Both MAX(ROWNUM) and COUNT(*) results in the same amount of I/O - as both uses the exact same execution plan, I/O wise. In this example, a FTS.

    This shows that what makes the MAX() more expensive is just that - determining the MAX(). For each row, Oracle has to call its internal MAX() function with two values - the current max result and the new value. This function then returns the new max value. This overhead per row adds up to a significant overhead in execution time - making the MAX() approach 5x slower than the COUNT() approach.

    The Problem is :
    i want to add rows Formatted as table headings, table headings are repeated when a table spans more than one page(marked as Red).
    Example:
    Page  No. 1

    Test Result word document should generate with Table headings(marked as Red) in every pages of the document, but i am not getting as per above example.

    i want to generate MS-word report for TestStand after successful testing using MS-word2000.
    Test report contains Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.
    In my program i have customized all  fields i can able to generate test report which contains Verification engineer name , test mode, test date, start time, end time Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.etc....
    To put all values of test case number, Test step number, Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status in to table for each time, i will
    insert a row into table every time values arrives, once the table exceedes its page size it moves to the next page, next page should start with table row header  but it start with  values of above said parameters.
    so i'm not able to repeat table row header for each page.

  • Updating data from multiple rows in a table view

    so far in my OAF programming, I have always selected one particular row from a table and saved from it. Now I have a requirement where in my table, fields from more than one row shall have to be updated.
    Can anyone please let me know how to accomplish this.

    currently I am selecting one row from the table and rendering a region at the top of the table and capturing the user entered data with the following code:

    After making all the checks, i commit it.

    Now in my new page I am capturing the user input in the table itself like an excel sheet. Suppose there are ten rows in my advanced table on my page, and each row has one editable field. I have one save button at the bottom of the table.
    Now on clicking the save button I have to capture the user input, check whether there is any null value and if all the entered data is correct then only I should commit it.
    Can you please let me know how we can accomplish that.

    I am using JDev 11.1.1.6 and WLS 10.3.6
    I have a requirement where i would like to re initialize the task flow each time by clicking on row of another table.
    I have a table in a page and there is other region which I need to refresh every time any row is clicked on the table.
    I am using the activation flag and active property in the task flow binding
    Any suggestions ?

  • Copying many rows from one table to another

    Could anyone tell me the best way to copy many rows (~1,000,000) from one table to another?
    I have supplied a snipit of code that is currently being used in our application. I know that this is probably the slowest method to copy the data, but I am not sure what the best way is to proceed. I was thinking that using BULK COLLECT would be better, but I do not know what would happen to the ROLLBACK segment if I did this. Also, should I look at disabling the indexes while the copy is taking place, and then re-enable them after it is complete?
    Sample of code currently being used:

    This type of logic is used to copy data for about 8 different tables, each containing approximately 1,000,000 rows of data.

  • Selection of a row in  a table

    Hi,
    I have a problem with JTable. ...i have just started working with JTables and still have not got a complete hang of how they function.
    I have a table whose model is "AbstractTableModel". I have different data in each row of the table therefore i have a celledtior and cell renderer per row. Each row is rendered as a combo box. There is only one column in that table. What i need to do is when the user clicks on any of these the rows in the table i need to evaluate what is the content in that row(in the combo box-It should be the values that have not been used up yet in the other rows...so basically as you add rows the combo box content will keep shrinking till all the possible vlaues are exhausted).
    I added a celleditor listener for every row. When the user clicks on the cell the event get's captured but the row value that shows up is not row the user selected. The value is always the previous selected row. Each cell is rendered as a combo box.
    For example if the user selected the first row in the table then the value of the row selected is -1. If the the user adds two more rows and selects the third row then the value selected is 0 (previos selected).
    What i cannot figure out is how in the world is this value obtained.
    Please help !! I tried everything i can think of to get the correct value of the row selected.

  • Need to send text string to new row in expandable table

    I have a table that is a summary of other choices made throughout the document.  For specific check boxes in the form, there is a defined phrase that needs to be sent to a new row in the summary table.
    The general idea is that for checkbox:

    This needs to be something I can specify for each applicable checkbox (each will have a different text string), but I don't know what the final count is going to be (depends on choices made by the user) so I can't delete rows in the table and start over every time.  It needs to be additive.
    Any suggestions?
