Managed Processed files, where did it go?

If I have Aperture managing raw files & I process the this raw file & run
it through Photoshop retouch etc..press Save, where does it save this
processed image, in the Library? If it does then is there a way to save
it to my Managed original folder?

Do you mean to say that your raw files are Referenced (i.e., not in the Library)? Managed files are located in the library.
If you open a file in an external editor, the file is saved in the Aperture Library, and it is Managed. If you want to change the file to be Referenced and located outside of the Aperture Library (such as an external drive), then select the image and choose the menu option File>Relocate Master. You will be presented with a dialog box that lets you choose where to relocate the image outside of the Library.

trying to get my solution up and running at customer site but cannot get connection string
I have registered solution at

got the basis no BASIS000000xxxx and added the license to the Clients SAP B1 server, can see it in the License manager.
but when I go to generate the solution connection string at the customer site, I get the message saying 'No License found'
i.e administration->License->Addon Id Generator
select solution paste in the basis id and click generate.
on my PC any BASIS0000000000 infact (BASIS000000xxxx will work) number seems to work
What License am I missing?
does the user need to have an SDK license for me to be able to install an addon at there site.
I have tried to search out the information on SAP sites but there seems to be no clear answer.
so could someone explain to me what I have forgotton, Or alternatively where to go in SAP to find clear details of the license process...

First of all, the string you generated in B1 is Add-on Identifier, not connection string. Connection string is generated by B1 application and passed to your Add-on through command line when you start your Add-on in B1. While Add-on Identifier is the unique string for your Add-on, every Add-on has different identifier.
Secondly, back to your question, when you generate the solution identifier, you need to make sure the user has SDK Development license, it is a MUST. In your situation, I think it might be possible that your customer do not have SDK Dev license, but you have in your machine.
On the other hand, the official process should be that you generate the identifier and put it in your Add-on code, compile to ".exe", and make a installation package, then deliver it, with ard file, to your customer. So, you should generate the identifier in your machine, instead of your customer's.

Shared files - where did it go

So we have two users on one iMac. I went in and selected a file to share in preferences, it shows up as a shared file with the shared person being able to have full access to it. When I log in as the "shared" person on that same iMac, the shared file does not show up. What am I doing wrong, and how do I fix this? Is a quick solution to copy that file to a thumb drive and when logged in as the shared person, upload it to that person? Since all that information is in the hardware I would think that would be redundant. Items in that folder are applications, web address, and other misc. things. Any help if appreciated.

Try putting the file in the hard drive level Users/Shared folder.

Where to download and manage video files at...

I take most my videos on my iPhone 4 now. I notice I can download them in iPhoto. They then show up in iMovie.
#1 - are they working off the same database/same files or is it copied over into iMovie?
I just purchased Aperture 3. It is supposed to work with video files.
I also do use a handheld HD video recorder on rare occasions, but haven't used it in a while to be honest.
I was pondering all this and am wondering the best way to manage my video. I use Final Cut Express for most of my video editing, although I do now use iMovie some since I purchased a macbook pro.
So I'm all over the place, I suppose. iPhoto to download, iMovie for some editing, FCE for editing, and now Aperture enters the picture.
I'm not sure if Aperture works off the iPhoto library or if I have to download it separately into Aperture.
Somewhere in this mixture, I guess I'm wondering the most simple direct way to manage my video files. What method should I import my video files: iPhoto? iMovie? Aperture? or does it matter? Do they all access the same basic structure of files or do they do their own thing and copy from one source to another?
And if I'm going to mix files from my iphone and hand held HD, I'm wondering the best way to basically download and manage video files.
Suggestions appreciated.

Saving into iPhoto certainly works. If you save it there, iMovie can access it, but iMovie will not duplicate it.
You should have the option in Aperture to have Aperture be the default application and if so, your videos would be there. Once again, iMovie can see them and edit them without duplicating them.
However, to me, the most straightforward way would be to import the movies directly from your phone into iMovie. Then you can use all the library management features of the iMovie Events.
To do this, I would open the Image Capture Utility and plug in your iPhone. You should see the iPhone listed as a device in Image Capture. Right click on this device, and select iMovie as a default application. It has been a while since I did this, so that is approximate, but it should get you there.

I am being blocked from some websites and cannnot figure out how. I am not a student nor am I trying to access sites from work. This is occurring at my home. While trying to fix things I stumbled upon the Authorities list in the Certificate Manager. What is this list for? And also, where did the items in the list come from?

Where is Catalog Manager log file stored

Hi,
I'm getting error "An internal error occured during: " when trying to create report or use XML search or replace uitility. Since there is no error code or anything that would help to understand the reason, I'm now looking for log file where such events would be logged in more detail.
Is there such log file at all, and if yes - what is the path or at least log file name?

The Catalog Manager uses Web Services to connect to the Presentation Services Plug-in so I would think you should any errors on the Presentation Services Plug-in web application log or in the Presentation Services log in the BI directories.

One caveat: If you want to work with PS Touch's native file format (which is PSDX), you'll have to have Photoshop CC (or CS) and the PSDX plug-in.
Another option would be to export any projects as the PSD file format and open those in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. If you import these back into PS Touch, note that PSD files will be automatically flattened.

In many, many apps Apple has now created a confusing array of "save as..", "export", and "duplicate" all doing essentially the same thing - saving a new copy elsewhere possibly with format changes. Drives me nuts.

Running recently installed Lion OS with iWork '09 on my Intel iMac there is no "Save As" under File menu. Where did it go? What do I do instead? Also iWork '09 Apple Training Series book says Keynote Custom Themes created should be backed up and will be found in Macintosh HD> Users> [your home folder]> Library> Application support> iWork> Keynote> Themes. There is no Library folder in my home folder! There used to be. Where could it have gone? Where *are* the Keynote themes hiding? They come forth from somewhere when called for. And I'm having no success in finding them via Spotlight either.

Well, if you want to Save as a PDF, that's a different issue: simply go to File > Print. In the Print window, go to the bottom left and click on PDF, then on save as PDF..... give it a name and place where you want to save it:
If you want to save in a format other than PDF, choose Export and you'll have several choices (including PDF as well).

I purchased my first iPod in February thinking that it would hold all of the music from my CDs. After uploading them, it did not. So, I deleted some music and decided to keep those files in a separate personal file folder so that one day, when iPod comes out with an even higher memory iPod, I could upload the songs that I deleted. Now, when I just looked in that file folder, all of my files are GONE! Where did they go?
I just want to be able to keep track of the files I delete so that I can one day upload them.

Files you save don't disappear, even if you no longer have the software that created them. They're right where you saved them.
