Manifest quary

Question

hi all,
i do need to add a classpath entry of a jar file in manifest.mf file of a jar.
i know what should i include for this as
Class-Path:myjar.jar
but i have a little problem to understand that, where should i write this line if i have a jar file say classes.jar and if classes.jar is in a perticular directory. moreover, how can i make this entry inside a jar file?
i am using jdk1.6.0_02
i my points sit right, please erase my dumb quary

I'm not sure you need to use Class-Path. For example, if all of your classes are in the jar, you do not need a Class-Path entry in the manifest.
It seems like you are confused about the manifest in general. The jar command always creates a manifest inside the jar. When you specify a manifest file, the contents of your file are appended to the content that the jar command always puts in. So your manifest file doesn't need a special name. It just needs to be line(s) of text and the last line must end with a return (end of line) character.
So, to include a Class-Path, create a text file likeMain-Class: YourClass
Class-Path: relative/path/to/dependent/jars/or/classesThen use that text file as the manifest argument in the jar command. For example, if the text file is named manifest.txt, thenjar cvfm myjar.jar manifest.txt *.class
