Manually configuring domain.xml using ${name} and -Dname

I need to be able to use this syntax:
      <jms-service addresslist-behavior="random" addresslist-iterations="3" init-timeout-in-seconds="60" reconnect-attempts="3" reconnect-enabled="true" reconnect-interval-in-seconds="60" type="LOCAL">
        <jms-host admin-password="admin" admin-user-name="admin" host="${com.memento.localhost}" name="default_JMS_host" port="7676"/>
      </jms-service>When I add -Dcom.memento.localhost="%COMPUTERNAME%" to the script that runs CLIMain, the property is not replaced when the above jms-service element is processed. I know because the server.log shows:
#|2005-03-16T17:00:39.809-0500|INFO|sun-appserver-pe8.1|javax.enterprise.system.stream.out|_ThreadID=10;|
URL is :mq://${com.memento.localhost}:7676/,Where do I set my property so it is picked up for replacement in domain.xml? Apparently the Java command that runs CLIMain is not the right place. Or soemthing else is wrong?

If I understand this correctly, you need to do a token replacement so that the runtime accepts the configured value.
<P>
What you need is a "system-property".
Here is how I would go about doing it:
<ul>
<li> No need to modify the asadmin script at all. </li>
<li> ./asadmin set user admin passwordfile /tmp/pass "server.jms-service.host=${${com.memento.localhost}"</li>
<li> This will add this value as expected in domain.xml. </li>
<li> But this is not what you want. </li>
<li> You need something called as a "system property" that is specific to SJS application server. <li>
<li> This is a convenient way of creating a token and replace it at runtime. </li>
<li> Either in the admin GUI or admin CLI, you need to define a system property. For example, the system property in the above case could be defined on CLI as: ./asadmin create-system.properties user admin passwordfile /tmp/pass "com.memento.localhost=the-actual-machine-name"
</li>
Hope this helps.

    Actually, I am sucessful to logon Business View manager with CRuser1. However, I fail to logon CMC and infoview and got the above error. Have you any suggestion to solve this problem?
    Ken.

    if you can logon with client tools then that should be an indication that the service account running the CMS IS working! Good news.
    So the problem is likely with the java portion (krb5/bsclogin or java options)
    If the files are in c:\winnt\ (if not copy them there) and perform c:\program files\business objects\javasdk\bin\kinit username
    then enter and password/enter again
    Probably get the same message. To note in your krb5.ini all domain info must be in CAPS (the .com appears to be in lower case)
    kinit works with just the krb5.ini, java SDK and AD (removing BO config and the service account from the picture). Once that works if your java options are specified properly you should be able to login to CMC/infoview.
    also 1 last point. Add udp_preference_limit = 1 to the krb5 lib defaults section
    libdefaults
    default_realm = BD.com
    dns_lookup_kdc = true
    dns_lookup_realm = true
    udp_preference_limit = 1

  • How to find PG.xml file name and path associated with a FUNCTION

    Hi,
    I am having a function:IRC_VIS_HOME_PAGE with Web HTML value as below:

    How to find PG.xml file name and path assoicated with above funtion.
    Thanks,
    ashok

    Ashok,
    Function IRC_VIS_HOME_PAGE will have 2 parameter defined for it which are OASF and OAHP where
    OASF=<SelectedFunctionName> - this tells the Framework to select this function in the given "Home Page" menu context.
    OAHP=<HomePageMenuName> - this is used ONLY with the OASF parameter, and it is used to establish the current menu context. It should point to a "Home Page" menu.

  • How to get UTF-8 encoding when create XML using DBMS_XMLGEN and UTL_FILE ?

    How to get UTF-8 encoding when create XML using DBMS_XMLGEN and UTL_FILE ?
    Hi,
    I do generate XML-Files by using DBMS_XMLGEN with output by UTL_FILE
    but it seems, the xml-Datafile I get on end is not really UTF-8 encoding
    ( f.ex. cannot verifying it correct in xmlspy )
    my dbms is
    NLS_CHARACTERSET          = WE8MSWIN1252
    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET     = AL16UTF16
    NLS_RDBMS_VERSION     = 10.2.0.1.0
    I do generate it in this matter :
    declare
    xmldoc CLOB;
    ctx number ;
    utl_file.file_type;
    begin
    -- generate fom xml-view :
    ctx := DBMS_XMLGEN.newContext('select xml from xml_View');
    DBMS_XMLGEN.setRowSetTag(ctx, null);
    DBMS_XMLGEN.setRowTag(ctx, null );
    DBMS_XMLGEN.SETCONVERTSPECIALCHARS(ctx,TRUE);
    -- create xml-file:
    xmldoc := DBMS_XMLGEN.getXML(ctx);
    -- put data to host-file:
    vblob_len := DBMS_LOB.getlength(xmldoc);
    DBMS_LOB.READ (xmldoc, vblob_len, 1, vBuffer);
    bHandle := utl_file.fopen(vPATH,vFileName,'W',32767);
    UTL_FILE.put_line(bHandle, vbuffer, FALSE);
    UTL_FILE.fclose(bHandle);
    end ;
    maybe while work UTL_FILE there is a change the encoding ?
    How can this solved ?
    Thank you

  • Query resultset to xml using java and XML schema

    Hi,
    I query data using JDBC and I want to store it to an XML file which has a well defined XML schema. I searched a lot in the forum but did not find an answer. Please guide me to create this program.
    I have managed to use JDBC to get result set but I do not know how to export is to XML using XSD and Java.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Ravi

    I have managed to use JDBC to get result set but I do
    not know how to export is to XML using XSD and Java.Export using XSD? Schemas are for validation.
    Iterate through the result set, and build up the XML stream by creating an entry for each row.
    Another way to do it is to load the ResultSet into a Java object and serialize that to XML using something like XStream.

  • Changing a DC in Domain, with Same name and IP

    hey we have a domain with 3DC (srv1, DC Operation Master and GC ; srv2 DC and GC ; and srv3 only DC)
    srv3 is a file server with many shares like //srv3/folder/myfiles
    so i really want to keep the name and IP!!
    my plan is to degrade the srv3 to normal server and add to a workgroup.
    Delete it from ad under domain controllers. So my domain only works with my two domain controllers.
    Wait 1 or 2 Days. perhaps do a manuel replication ... so be clear tat the srv3 is really removed from the domain.
    And after all i would take my brand new Server give him same name and ip an add him to the domain. level him up to a dc and i hope all would be fine :)

    Greetings!
    Just demote the DC successfully (No Force Removal!)and check the replication between two domain controllers. If everything were in good condition you can use the same IP and Name in a new server. No need to wait for couple of days.
    Regards.

  • Query on sorting  XML using XSLT and getting the same XML as output !

    Hi,
    Looking for one information regarding sorting XML using XSLT , with the sorted XML as output. For eg. my XML is :
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="sort1.xsl"?>
    <levelone>
         <child ID="1" sort="5">
              <name>Paul</name>
         </child>
         <child ID="2" sort="1">
              <name>Adam</name>
         </child>
         <child ID="3" sort="2">
              <name>Will</name>
         </child>
    </levelone>
    and XSL :
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:template match="/levelone">
         <xsl:copy>
         <xsl:apply-templates>
              <xsl:sort select="@sort"/>
         </xsl:apply-templates>
              </xsl:copy>
         </xsl:template>
         <xsl:template match="child">
              <xsl:copy-of select="."/>
         </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    This does the sort based on Name. But I want to get the same xml as output with the name sorted. Eg.
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="sort1.xsl"?>
    <levelone>
         <child ID="2" sort="1">
              <name>Adam</name>
         </child>
         <child ID="1" sort="5">
              <name>Paul</name>
         </child>
         <child ID="3" sort="2">
              <name>Will</name>
         </child>
    </levelone>
    Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
    - Thanks

    Don't you want <xsl:sort select="name"/> rather than <xsl:sort select="@sort"/>?

  • Unity cluster with one node using name and the other using iP

    Hey Guys,
    I have two unity connection boxes setup in a cluster, one is know by name and the other by IP address. I'd like to change so that both are using the IP address. The node in the cluster that is using the node name is the publisher. Can I simply go into the cluster settings and change that to an IP address or will that cause big issues.
    Thanks,
    BR

    Hi Brent,
    Is there any specific reason why you would want to do this kind of configuration? (Just Curious to know)
    I tried doing the same on my Unity Connection cluster (version 8.5(1) SU2 ) in lab.
    After making the change in the cluster settings page for the Pub , I did the following :
    1)Switch the Primary Role back and forth between the Pub and the Sub :  SUCCESS
    2)Checked the service status on the pub and sub using "utils service list" : ALL GOOD
    3)Rebooted the Pub followed by the Sub and performed test 1 and 2 again : SUCCESS
    4)Checked the output of "show cuc cluster status" on the Pub and Sub again: SUCCESS
    However, I could not find any document that says this change is really required under any circumstances.
    I hope that helps!!!

  • Help: How to Validate XML using SAXParser and return the entire error list

    Hi,
    I have a problem, I'm trying to validate a xml document against the DTD. Here Im using SAXParser and having the ErrorHandler object passed when setting the error Handler, like parser.setErrorHandler(errorHandlerObj).
    I need an output like where the entire XML document is read and all the errors have to be reported with the line number.
    like example:
    <b>Line 6: <promp>
    [Error]:Element type "promp" must be declared.
    Line 8: </prompt>
    [Fatal Error]:The end-tag for element type "promp" must end with a '>' delimiter.
    who can i achieve this.</b>
    what happens with the present code is that it throws the first error it encountered and comes out.
    how can i solve this problem

    You can try to set the following feature to 'true' for your SAXParser:
    http://apache.org/xml/features/continue-after-fatal-error
    At least Xerces supports this feature.

  • Importing/Parsing XML using SQL and/or PL/SQL

    What is the recomended way of importing/parsing XML data using SQL and/or PL/SQL?
    I have an XSD that defines the structure of the file, and an XML file that has the content in the appropriate structure. I have parsed (checked) the structure of the XML file using JDOM in my java application, and then passed it to a function in a package on the database as a CLOB.
    What I need to do is parse the contents of the XML file that is passed into the function and extract the values of each XML element so that I can then do some appropriate validation before inserting and committing the data to the database (hence completing the import function).
    A DBA colleague of mine has been experimenting with various ways of acheiving this, but has encountered a number of problems along the way, one of which being that he thinks that it is not possible to parse XML elements that are nested more than four levels deep - is this the case?
    The structure of the XSD/XML that the database function needs to manipulate and import data from is very complex (and recursive by it's nature).
    I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can achieve the above in the most efficient manner.
    Thanks in advance for your help

  • Cluster with shared domain folder using OCFS2 and the domain /tmp folder

    I've setup a cluster with two machines and one managed server on each machine. One of the machines also hosts the admin server.
    Initially, both managed servers were running on the same machine. Everything worked well. When I move to having two machines, I didn't want to have to independently maintain the domain folder on each machine.
    So I decided to setup a shared drive between the machines and use OCFS2 to share the domain folder between the two machines.
    Everything started up fine, but when I deployed software to the server I would frequently (but not always) get this error:
    [wldeploy] Target state: deploy failed on Cluster cluster-01
    [wldeploy] weblogic.management.DeploymentException: [Deployer:149189]Attempt to operate 'deploy' on null BasicDeploymentMBean for deployment mylibrary#[email protected]. Operation can not be performed until server is restarted.
    After looking around a bit on google I saw this issue:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11035_01/wls100/issues/known_resolved.html#CR279281
    which says
    Some OS and NFS combinations result in deployment failures or configuration updates with an exception like:
    weblogic.management.DeploymentException: Attempt to operate 'distribute' on null BasicDeploymentMBean
    Workaround or Solution:
    * Run statd() and lockd() processes on every NFS client that accesses a remote NFS volume.
    * If multiple servers that share the same domain root are started with different user Ids of same group, set the correct "umask" for the server processes so that a file created by one server can be opened for read/write by other servers without security exceptions.
    Unfortunately, I wasn't running NFS, so the workaround didn't help me.
    Through dump luck, I tried this:
    I replaced the domainroot/tmp folder with a symbolic link to a folder on each machine's local filesystem. Following that change my deployments work everytime.
    Does anyone know why this change worked? What is the purpose of the /tmp folder in a domain folder?
    Are there any switches I could turn on to get more information about the exact error that causes the deployment mbean to come back null?

    It may not be the same situation, but I had this "deployer:149189" error and it turned out to be mixing WLS 10.0 and 10.3 installations together in the same install directory and not being scrupulous about environment setup. I think the problem was caused by accidentally running a 10.0 domain with Java 1.6.
    Eoin.

    On the one device, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    Now, try the BlackBerryID again... you can find it at Setup > BlackBerryID
    or Options > BlackBerry ID.

  • Communicator configuration for sign in name and do...

    If I go to my companies CWA URL, I get the web access screen. It prompts me for a Sign-In Name (my email address in this case) and a Domain\user (my Windows/Active Directory) account. If I do not enter both, it fails to login. How do I do this on my N8? There is only one username box, which is the Domain\user value, but none for the other value. When I try to sign in, I get an error complaining about network issues and error code -36. The network is fine, as I get incorrect username when I enter the wrong details, but I get nowhere with these current config.

    the problem is that when I remove : xmlns="http://www.finacle.com/fixml" attribute from the root node the code works correctly.
    of course , I can simply use replace to remove it, but I want to know what is causing the error.
    I am using oracle database 10g

    Let me explain that the issue is not only related to Oracle.
    If you google a bit for default namespace and Xpath you will find many topic.
    Basically when you have an XML having a definition of namespace without a prefix:
    i.e.:
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
      <head>
        <title>Example XHTML document</title>
      </head>
      <body>
        <p>Sample content</p>
      </body>
    </html>
    this means that all unprefixed elements are belonging to this default namespace.
    In this case an Xpath equal to '//title/text()' will not get anything because it is assuming to find the element title within a null namespace. But title in this case is automatically assigned to the default namespace.
    When you specify a prefix in a namespace then all elements without prefix are associated to namespace NULL. Using a default namespace is causing a lot of headache.
    These links can be giving a clearer picture:
    http://www.edankert.com/defaultnamespaces.html
    Assuming that you have data like this:
    WITH mydata AS
    (   SELECT '
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
      <head>
        <title>Example XHTML document</title>
      </head>
      <body>
        <p>Sample content</p>
      </body>
    </html>' xmldata FROM DUAL
    SELECT xmltype (xmldata).EXTRACT ('//title/text()').getstringval ()
      FROM mydata;
    This query will not give anything back to you. You will have to specify:
    SELECT xmltype (xmldata).EXTRACT ('//title/text()', 'xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"').getstringval ()
      FROM mydata;
    Note also that you should be able to get the default namespace when it is specified (without prefix) by using:
    SELECT xmltype(xmldata).getnamespace() from mydata;
    Post your Oracle version to see if it something related to your version. In mine I got this:
    SQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.1.0 Production on Thu Jun 20 18:32:58 2013

    SQL> WITH mydata AS
      2  (   SELECT '
      3  <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
      4    <head>
      5      <title>Example XHTML document</title>
      6    </head>
      7    <body>
      8      <p>Sample content</p>
      9    </body>
    10  </html>' xmldata FROM DUAL
    11  )
    12  SELECT xmltype(xmldata).getnamespace() from mydata;
    XMLTYPE(XMLDATA).GETNAMESPACE()
    http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml
    SQL>
    If this would work, then it would be enough to add the optional additional parameter namespace. In case it is null it will be set as xmlsn="" and it will work anyway:
    Please note that it will work both if the XML has a default namespace or not
    i.e.:
    with default namespace:
    SQL> DECLARE
      2     xparam         XMLTYPE;
      3     v_xpath        VARCHAR2 (500);
      4     v_ns           VARCHAR2 (500);

    12    <body>
    13      <p>Sample content</p>
    14    </body>
    15  </html>');
    16     v_xpath := '//title/text()';
    17     v_ns := 'xmlns="' || xparam.getnamespace () || '"';
    18     DBMS_OUTPUT.
    19      put_line (
    20        'Value of title:' || xparam.EXTRACT (v_xpath, v_ns).getstringval ());
    21  END;

    and without default namespace
    SQL> DECLARE
      2     xparam         XMLTYPE;
      3     v_xpath        VARCHAR2 (500);
      4     v_ns           VARCHAR2 (500);
