Mapping error in file(FCC) to rfc scenario
Hi,
i am trying to implement mapping in file (fcc) to rfc scenario. the source file is getting picked up, but the problem is arising during mapping. i am unable to generate the target structure. i am attaching mapping structure as follows
Source Structure Target Structure: RFC
storesales -POSDW-CREATE_TRANSACTIONS_EXT
recordset it_transaction
gmd_site_101 item
gmd_site_102
gmd_site_103
gmd_site_104
here the recorset is mapped to item, and fields of subnode gmd_site_101 is mapped to fields of subnode item. similarly, for the other subnodes. but when testing with xml file, the target field is not getting generated. in FCC parameters, ignorerecordset name is set to "true".
any help would be very helpful..thanks in advance.
warm regards,
kartz
hi
You can test the data using payload from SXMB_MONI in message mapping test tool so as you can get to know the reason of failure.
It would be better if you paste the error you are getting over there.
Check if you have maintained the namespace in CC or not. it should be same maintained if you have kept namespace in message type.
Also check in FCC parameters you must have used ignoreRecordsetName = true

Mapping error for file scenario.
Hi ,
I am working with the help of this scenario to pick only selected files.
/people/mickael.huchet/blog/2006/09/18/xipi-how-to-exclude-files-in-a-sender-file-adapter
I am getting error in mapping . Everything i have checked its correct . Mapping is correct . but still its giving error . how can i solve it .
Error : RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~
Thanks ,
Syed.Dear Syed Kumar
Based on the blog you are executing the scenario I guess. The scenario is clearly focusing on the picking up the files using the mask attribute in File Access Parameters.
As you mentioned clearly, that you are getting mapping error plz concentrate on how to rectify the mapping errors.
will guide to do so.
1. Go to SXMB_MONI and in the integration server and check for the message you are trying send.( I hope you did this)
2. As it is giving you mapping error, Double click onthe message Flag showing red.
3.Plz check the Payload XML content copy that content and paste in the message mapping Test section of IR.
4. Execute the Test. If you get the message at the receiver side there shouldn't be any error.
If you still get the error let me know.
Best of Luck
Reward Points If found use ful.

Do the Interface mapping test as well if you are successful in message mapping. -
Mapping error in File to File Scenario.
In a file to file scenario some times sender communication channel picked the file, before the file is completely copied to the directory Though the poling intervals is 300 seconds. To my assumption, assume that the sender communication channel lastly polled on 10:10:10 and i am coping a file after 285 sec that is 10:14:55 and file size is 20 mb that takes 50 sec to copy. but the next sender communication channel poling is 10:15:10. here the file is partially copied but the communication channel picked the file and process. The scenarios throws mapping error because of in correct input file. This rarely accords but how to handle this. i want the cc to wait until the file is completely copied to the dir and then poll.
Hi ,
But there is some problem with system i guess. Adapter engine first load the whole file and then send it to Integration engine where after receiver and interface determination , mapping is excuted. So the fact that adapter picked up half of the file and tried to process does not seem correct.
Ideally this behaviour should not occurs.
If you are observing similar with all the adapter , you should also cross check with SAP support team.

Catch Mapping Error in File to IDoc scenario
Configured BPM and now learning Error Handling. I know that through BPM we can handle system Errors, but I doubt whether Mapping error is a system error.
I am interested to know the classification of errors with examples, preferably listing out all types of errors.
Please provide some weblogs or explain briefly how to handle system and application errors through BPM.
Thanks,
RajaHi Raja,
You will need CCMS if you want to send the Alerts to external system or you want to access the ALerts from the transaction. You can capture your alerts without this also.
When you go to Alert Configuration in the Runtime Workbench you can see Create Alert Rules. These rules are pertaining to the error generated in your AF,AE or IE.
Once you have completed the whole config. The error happening in the AE, IE or AF would trigger the alert. you can see this in your Alert Inbox.
The best would be if you go through the URL I have mentioned below.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/80/942f3ffed33d67e10000000a114084/content.htm
You have to use BPM only if you want to do an activity after the alerts are raised.

Process empty file : file (fcc) to rfc
Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where. I have to process files and send it to rfc..
file to rfc scenario...
now basically.. when the file is empty the content conversion does not produce any payload and throws error..
can u pls help me in this?Hello,
The problem is that XI will pick up th file with empty payload.. but as there is no content in the file...
the content conversion cannot be done
The content conversion will still be done except that it will not output anything. To do this, set your recordset occurrence to * instead of 1
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/44/6713ec3f914ddee10000000a1553f7/content.htm
and mapping throws error...
Since there is no output, the mapping will really throw an error. What you can do is to place a dummy structure, you can use a two-step mapping to do this, in your operation mapping use Java Mapping as your first mapping and in the second mapping, your actual mapping graphical mapping e.g
1.) Read the inputstream and then check if there is a structure. If there is a structure, the Java mapping just passes it to the outputstream. If it is not, then Java mapping will write the dummy structure into outputstream. (Java Mapping)
2.) Output from 1 is passed to Message Mapping
Can you tell us the reason why empty files are needed to be processed? Because this adds overhead in the AE.
Hope this helps,

Mapping Errors Log file to be sent via FTP
Hi All,
Functional specs of a file to file scenario require to create an aditional log file containing the file name, creation date and a list with the lines were a problem occurred with an error description and then send it to R3 via FTP.
Does anyone know if it's possible or not? and if it's possible, how could I do that?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.Daniel,
This is possible.
1. To get the Source File name and and appned the date to it, you can use Adapter Specific Identtifers -- File Name in the Sender and receiver file adapter and in the message mapping, set the file name using this code,
2. Rest of error handling can error record creation for the error file can be handled via the mapping itself.
String newfilename="";
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
// Get Sourcefilename
String oldfilename=conf.get(key);
//get the date
java.text.SimpleDateFormat dateformat = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat( "yyyyMMdd" );
dateformat.format( new java.util.Date() );
//append source+date+L
String nwfilename=oldfilename+dateformat;
conf.put(key, newfilename);

NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE error in a SOAP - XI - RFC scenario
Hi gurus:
I'm configuring a SOAP -> XI -> RFC scenario and I'm getting a "NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE" error when I send a test message using the SOAP adapter.
I have another interfaces using the SOAP adapter of the same XI server and no problems with it. So I think my problem is not into the SOAP adapter.
Thanks to all in advance,
Alejandro Gomez.

Mapping error :Collecting file : BpmPatternCollectTime
Hi
I am trying to use Multimapping with BPM, for 3 files correlated based in some field value
but mY collectpattern is not workin, Workflow shows errror in Message Mapping Runtime exception
Attach Mapping
http://img255.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mappingaw1.jpg
Refered BPM from SAPBASIS
http://img413.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bpmsapbasisen1.jpg
steps relate to occurane in Source & target messaget type has been done..
but still the error is there...
I check the thread below , having the same issue and concern with BUG in display in SAP BASIS component display
BPM : Files are not appended in the container operation step
Regards
AshutoshRI got the issue..
After changing the occurance of target MT to 0..Unbounded..
the XML content for source messge type also changes..
1 Message Tag is also added to Source Message Type..
BUT the payload going as an input to this mapping is
not having the <Messages1> tag..
Here is the payload
in SXMB_moni before mapping
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:MT_Source_File xmlns:ns0="urn:godb:bw:01">

<Field1>first file</Field1>
<Field2>a</Field2>
<Field3>1</Field3>
<Field4>1</Field4>
<Field5>1</Field5>
</row>
</ns0:MT_Source_File>
XML payload copied from Message mapp TEST TAB

BPM scenario to send same file data two RFC function modules
Hi,
Scenario:same file need to send the data to two different RFC functions.
so in this case i need to use two receive steps or only one receive step? beause file should be places in the archive after second rfc triggered.
but this scenario client need to go with BPM only .I am new to BPM.please suggest the steps and process need to follow for this scenario.Hi,
You will have one async receive step to start the BPM from your file interface, 2 synchronous send steps for each RFC, and an async receive step to archive.
Don't use the transformation steps in BPM, as it decreases performance. You can use the same abstract interface for your file format in the send steps, but specify different Send Contexts for the receive steps. In Configuration, use a condition on Context object ProcessStep = Send Context from your BPM, and route to the correct RFC interface, using a mapping from your file to the RFC.
Hope this helps !

Flat file to Asynch RFC: R3 not getting updated
hi all,
I have a flat file to asynch RFC scenario.I can see the file getting deleted and the chequered flag in MONI.In adapter monitoring i can see the message being processed for the RFC.But it has to update an R3 table which is not getting done.
Can anybody give ideas where the problem lies...in earlier blogs someone had suggested to check sm58 but dnt know what to give the inputs for this...
help highly appreciated and points will be awarded
regards,'
NisheetaHi Nisheeta,
1)I hope your Receiver RFC adpater is working fine (In adapter monitoring it should be green)
2) As you mentioned that your RFC is working correctly with the given inputs (which in this case you are passing thru file, right?). Just check oncemore.
3) Call transaction SM58 . This tool lists only those transactonal RFCs that could not be carried out successfully or that had to be planned as batch jobs. The list includes the LUW ID and an error message. Error messages displayed in SM58 are taken from the <b>target system</b>. To display the text of the message, double-click on the message.
so u have to check in sap29...

Suraj

Error in File to RFC scenario: ATTRIBUTE_WRONG_INTF
Hello,
My scenario is going from File to RFC which is simply writing to an SAP table.
My mapping seems OK and tests OK but in SXMB_MONI I get red flag and error below:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
- <!-- Call Adapter -->
- <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">

<SAP:AdditionalText />
<SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
<SAP:Stack>Unable to interpret IDoc interface ZDWM_POS_UPDATE</SAP:Stack>
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
</SAP:Error>
The posts I see in the forums with this text have to do with an external deffinition being incorrect. I don't have an ED, it is mapping right to our custom RFC interface ZDWM_POS_UPDATE.
Does anyone have any ideas or pointers for troubleshooting this?
Many thanks,
AaronHi Aron,
You should not create any message interfaces refering to RFC.Infact RFC acts both like Message type and Messge interface.
In interface determination choose ALL radio button and choose Idoc itself instead of interface.
Also the interface mapping should be b/w Fileinterface<-->RFC directly (no need of interface)
Hope this helps.
