Mapping FM- RH: Table margins?

When I'm opening my imported FrameMaker documents in
RoboHelp, the specified margins (space) before and after the tables
(which I have specified in FrameMaker) disappears in RoboHelp.
How can I get this right, without having to edit the margins
manually in RoboHelp for each table?

What I mean is the space above and below a table, which I
have specified in FrameMaker - for instance "40,0 pt Above" and
"40,0 pt Below" in the table definition.
When I import a table of this kind in RoboHelp, the space
information is lost.
I know that I can correct this in RoboHelp manually, but I
need the space/margin information to be transferred automatically.
Is it simply an error in the FrameMaker -> RoboHelp import
proces? (I am using the Technical communication suite).

  • Set (and keep) Table Margins

    I have TCS4.
    I am linking a Framemaker book into Robohelp so everything keeps up-to-date. Mostly, it works fine.
    But..
    How do I apply a margin to a table in the CSS so that it stays? I want to put some space between all tables and what is around them (text, other tables, etc.) just to clean things up and make it easier to read. Padding moves the text within a cell. I need to shift the table itself as a unit.
    I can make the change manually in RH by adjusting the table properties of each table, but with hundreds of tables to setup each time there is an update, it gets terribly time consuming. Table margins seems to be entirely missing from the CSS or Master Page config.
    Where is it hiding? Can I set a margin for all tables of a type collectively? And have it survive Forced Updates?
    I even tried modifying the CSS file directly with mixed results.    margin-top: 10.000px;     and such.
    Thanks.

    Are you mapping the table to a CSS style in the conversion options?
    If not, modify your conversion to do so, then you can control the properties from the CSS table definition.
    WARNING: You may find that formatting applied to the table in Fm still sneaks through as inline formatting in the Rh table. Remove formatting from the tables with the Custom Ruling and Shading dialog in Fm.
    As always, endeavor to eliminate the class="FM_ string from your HTML by explicit mapping of the styles. If not, you'll never gain control over the formatting in Rh.

  • How to map lookup main table field in another main table using MDM 7.1?

    We created a new SAP MDM 7.1 repository with multiple main tables.  The first main table is called ProductMaster table which contains Products information.  The ProductCode is the primary key and the only display field for the table during data loading process. The second main table is ProductByRegion table which has a main table lookup field ProductCode and a RegionId field.  These two fields (ProductCode and RegionId) combine as the PK for this main table.  Both main tables have key mapping enabled.
    I was able to load ProductMaster table using Import Manager.  But Iu2019m having trouble to load data into ProductByRegion table using MDM Import Manager.  Although I have met all the 5 requirements below (excerpted from MDM Import Manager Reference Guide P.222), the ProductCode wonu2019t show up on the destination value pane.  If I mapped all productCode to NULL field, ProductCode wonu2019t load.  If I u2018Addu2019 all ProductCode to Destination Value pane, the Import Manager added duplicated rows to Product Master table while only loading 1 record to ProductByRegion table.  I canu2019t get ProductCode show up in Matching Destination Field list.  When I checked ProductMaster records in MDM Data Manager, I right-clicked on one of records, chose Edit Key Mappings, it didnu2019t show anything.  However, if I right-clicked on one of those duplicated rows, Edit Key Mapping shows remote system and key correctly.
    Where did I do wrong?  How can I fix the problem?
    Thank you for help in advance.
    From: SAP MDM Import Manager Reference Guide:
    Mapping to Main Table Lookup Destination Fields
    Import Manager handles main table lookup fields (Lookup [Main])
    differently than other MDM lookup fields. Specifically, Import Manager
    does not display the complete set of display field values of the records
    of the underlying lookup table. Instead, the values it displays for a main
    table lookup field are limited by both the key mappings for the lookup
    table and the values in the source file.
    Also, Import Manager does not automatically display the values of a
    Lookup [Main] destination field in the Destination Values grid when you
    select the field in the Destination Fields grid. Instead, for a main table
    lookup field value to appear in the Destination Values grid, all of the
    following conditions must be met:
    u2022 The lookup table must have key mapping enabled
    u2022 The lookup field must be mapped to a source field
    u2022 The source field must contain key values for the lookup table
    u2022 The destination value must have a key on the current remote system
    u2022 The destination valueu2019s key must match a source field value
    NOTE ►► The current remote system is the remote system that was
    selected in Import Manageru2019s Connect to Source dialog (see
    u201CConnecting to a Remote Systemu201D on page 416 for more information).

    Hi Michael,
    Thank you very much for your response.  I'm new to SAP MDM, I need some clarification and help regarding your solution.
    I did use two maps to load ProductMaster and ProductByRegion separately.  Here were my steps:
    1. create main table ProductMaster with key mapping enabled at the table level and set ProductCode as unique and writable once (primary key).
    2. create a map to load ProductMaster record from a staging table located an oracle database.  But Key mapping didn't show anything when I looked at them using Data Manager.
    3. create main table ProductByRegion with a lookup field looking at ProductMaster table.  This field and RegionId combines as a unique field for ProductByRegion table.
    4. create a map to load ProductByRegion table.  But ProductCode records only shows on the source pane not destination pane and can't be mapped properly.
    My questions:
    1. How can I "Ensure that you add key mapping info for all ProductMaster records" besides enabling Key Mapping on the table level?
    2. How can I define a concatenation of ProductCode and RegionId as a REMOTE KEY"?
    Thanks a lot for your help!

  • Mapping the Fact table to different levels of a dimension

    Hi,
    I have a fact table which stores the data for 4 levels of the dimensions. The aggregation method was taken care by PL/SQL and the fact table will have the data for all the 4 levels. When im trying to map all the levels to a column in the fact table using the OEM, it is generating the F KEY constraints referncing the columns mapped for the various levels of the dimension.
    The problem is that im using a denormalised table for maintaing the values of the dimension. So the columns mapped for the levels(Except for the lowest) can't have the unique key defined on it. The cube is not getting created because of the error in creating the F KEY.
    Can u please suggest how to map this fact table.
    Thnks,
    Manohar Vanama

    I am not exactly clear on your schema but I believe you are trying to map tables which are not strict star or snowflake. This means that you cannot use CWM1 (and OEM), unless you change the structure of the tables. You might be able to map the tables with CWM2. The document below will assist you:

  • Must a EntityBean map with data table?

    I know Not every data table will map with Entity bean
    but must a EntityBean map with a datatable?
    rgds

    Ofcourse Not, EntityBean Just A style of Bean,
    We declare something as EntityBean because it perform some action like a Entity
    For Example,A Man Contain some attribute, or A File with some attribute,
    usually we have store this in the database ,so EntityBean Usually map with data table.
    but you can also store the data in the file format as you like,you can control it in the BMP model
    in my opinion ,Entitybean is the object base on the attribute , the Sessionbean is the object base on the action with the user.So we can distinguish them:-)

  • Star schema cannot be mapped to multiple tables

    Hello!
    I am mapping dimension in AWM.
    When I am drawing lines from the source columns to the target objects "Member". I get the message "star schema cannot be mapped to multiple tables". Sometimes I can workaround the problem by drawing the lines in a different order. But this dose not always work
    I have a dimension that have several levels and hierarchy and I always get the message "star schema cannot be mapped to multiple tables" no matter in witch order I draw the lines to "Member".
    Why do I get this message and how do I do to solve the problem?
    Best regards,

    Hi Tina:
    Is your dimension snowflaked? Are you mapping from more than one source table to the target dimension? Is the hierarchy formed over different tables?

  • UKMS versus Value Mapping versus Z tables ?

    Hello,
    has someone already made a choice whether to use UKMS or Value Mapping or Z Tables to do mapping or filtering of data ?
    If yes, what were the reasons to go for one or the other solution ?
    - both UKMS / Value Mapping provide key-pair mappings
    - UKMS can be called via RFC or out of XSLT. (Out of User-Defined function I am not sure)
    - Value Mapping can at least be called out of graphical mapping
    - the UKMS / Value Mapping approach looks very similar to me.
    - Z Tables might be more flexibel in defining the structure required
    - is there a caching advantage in one of these solutions ?
    many thx in advance
    Uwe

    Hi Uwe Knöfel ,
    has someone already made a choice whether to use UKMS or Value Mapping or Z Tables to do mapping or filtering of data ?
    Usually YES, XI Architect will decide what to follow..
    If yes, what were the reasons to go for one or the other solution ?
    Mostly it depends upon Complexity,Kind and Volume of data.Suppose there is less volume of data and simple processing is needed we may go for Value mapping than Ztables.
    + is there a caching advantage in one of these solutions ?+
    May not..

  • Expert - Generating SCD Type2 Mapping for a Table Operator - To Share

    Hi All,
    I have created an Expert which generates a SCD Type2 Mapping for a Table Operator being used as Dimension.
    Let me know how I can share this expert. This forum has helped answer many questions and I would like to contribute.
    Thanks,
    Sam.

    Hi David,
    I am trying to follow the steps as on that page. But I am stuck at step 5 - to upload the zip file. I cannot find the "Add an Attachment" link in the page toolbox.
    The steps on that page are
    1)Use the link in the "Page Toolbox" (right-hand column) to add a new page, with a title describing the expert or script.
    2)In the keywords for the page, enter "OWB USER CONTRIBUTED EXPERT".
    3)On that page, describe the expert or other script, the version of OWB it was developed for (including patch level), how to install and use it, and who to contact with any questions.
    4)Package the Expert files in a Zip file.
    5)Use the "Add an Attachment" link in the Page Toolbox to upload your Zip file as an attachment to the page for your expert. Alternatively, post a link to your own web site where the expert can be downloaded.
    Thanks,
    Sam.

    [Lost Cause] Mapping Errors: no table selected, but unable to select one

    Update: I unmapped connections to the problem causing table object (Group), and deactivated the descriptor. After deleting the named query dependencies, the mapping report succeeded.
    However, when reactivating the mappings from the other descriptors they would still not allow me to select a reference table for the Groups class. The same is true going out to those descriptors from the Groups class.
    Does anyone know why the reference tables are not populating the drop-down on the "Table Reference" tab?

  • Entity bean mapping to multiple tables.

    Hello,
    Is it possible to map several tables with only one BMP?
    if so please send me an example (class bean)
    Thanks in advance

    hi,
    yes, entity bean can be mapped to multiple tables provided it is bean managed entity bean.
    since, container cannot prepare complex quries so that we need to rely on bean managed persistance.
    Ex : Assume you have two table like X, Y
    where X table having fields (int x primarykey, varchar str) and Y table having fields (varchar name primarykey, int y).
    Now you should design a primary key class of your own as shown below:
    public class BeanPriamkey implements java.io.Serializable
    protected int x;
    protected String name;
    public BeanPramkey()
    //initialzation part
    public BeanPramkey(int x,String str)
    //initialzation part
    public String toString()
    //return object value as string
    public int hashCode()
    //return an int value
    public boolean equals(BeanPramkey)
    public int getX()
    return x;
    public String getStr()
    return str;
    now your entity bean would be like this
    public class Mybean implements EntityBean
    int x,y;
    String str,name;
    BeanPriamkey primekey;
    public BeanPrrmkey ejbCreate(int x,String name)
    //fetch the rows from the tables X and Y ;
    //if the rows exists int the tables create beanprimkey object with x and name and return refernce of the Beanprimkey class object
    public BeanPrimkey findByPrimarykey(BeanPrimkey )
    //first extract values of x and str from BeanPrimkey
    and chek X and Y table for corresponding rows if exists return the reference of BeanPrimkey else return null
    public void ejbStore()
    BeanPrimkey prikey = (BeanPrimkey) entityContext.getPrimarykey();
    int x = prikey.getX();
    String st = prikey.getStr();
    update X and Y tables using x and str;
    public void ejbLoad()
    BeanPrimkey prikey = (BeanPrimkey) entityContext.getPrimarykey();
    int x = prikey.getX();
    String st = prikey.getStr();
    fetch the rows from X and Y tables using x and str;
    and assing the row values to bean instance variables.
    public void ejbPassivate()
    //code for release the resources
    public void ejbActivate()
    //code for aquiring the resource
    public void setEntityContext(EntityContext ec)
    this.ec = ec;
    protected EntityContext ec;

  • Map two fact table

    hi,
    I have develop one application, in which
    1 fact table(cube) and 6 dimension table(dimension)
    fact table : project billing detail
    dimension table : customer, time, PM, company etc.
    its working fine
    because there are foreign key in project billing table
    now i want to map one project_CR table which is child table of project billing table
    i have create one cube for that and in repository i have crate foreign key in business diagram so project_CR table show as a dimesion table
    in presentation when i am creating report in BI answer its giving with other dimension table,
    its working with only fact table project billing.
    how can i map project_CR table so it will work with combination report with other dimension.
    please help me..
    thanks in advance.
    Edited by: user579853 on Mar 9, 2010 6:11 AM

    Thanks for your reply.
    to the source of dimension table means..?
    Should i create new dimension for project_cr ?
    one thing i did that i have created one dimension project_id and map both cube project and project_cr with that dimension
    now its working fine in presentation layer for project,project_cr,project_id table
    but project_cr table now working with other dimension like time,pm.
    if i want report with combination of time,project,and project_cr then its showing null data in project_cr.
    Please describe me in some detail so i can do it.
    Thanks in advance.

    What is the mathematical function associated to linear, map ranges, polynomial, table scale? I'd like to use the scale of daqmx for use with other types of data.

    yes, refer to the help, but only found information on the first option "linear". what I intend to is to be able to climb a number, using one of the existing scales, but don't be that mathematical function is necessary to use.

  • Parse comma separated value and map with other table to get Name and change it back to comma separate.

    Hi,
    I have one existing view(with around 15 fields), in which I have to add few more fields from table called PI.
    Now these fields have values like (55C4444F-D83B-4F96-A011-367A3755BA6C , F52388E2-485B-49DF-8534-FDF46D23F59E , 722432E1-F063-4CBD-B83D-1B97836E82953) 3 values comma separated.(Sometimes only one value and sometimes 4 or 5 or 7-8 depend on user has entered
    on web page)
    Also I have another table called PHA and this tables has 2 fields Values and Name so I have to map this two tables based on VALUES fields and get Name from this PHA table and show in view and that also Comma separated.
    So basically I have to Parse the PI table's Values field 1st, map it with PHA table to get Name and then Make it comma separated in that existing view.
    To make fields comma separate I used below query,
    (SELECT DISTINCT SUBSTRING
                SELECT ','+ PI.[Name]  AS [text()]
                FROM [DB].[dbo].[Table] PHA1
    Inner Join  [DB].[dbo].[Table] PI
    ON PHA.[Value] = PI.[VALUE]
                WHERE PHA1.PId =PHA2.PId and PHA1.CId = PHA2.CId
                ORDER BY PHA1.PId
                For XML PATH ('')
            ), 2, 1000)
    FROM [DB].[dbo].[Table] PHA2
    Inner Join [cSharpSite_profiles].[dbo].[PetAllergies] PA
    Inner Join  [DB].[dbo].[Table] PI
    ON PHA.[Value] = PI.[VALUE]
    ) [Name]

    Wait, this sounds wrong. You have a view where you group values into a comma-separated list. While that surely will make some purists cringe, I can see that it makes sense from a presentation perspective.
    But if you want to use these concatenated values as atomic values again, you should go back to the base tables and them from there. Building views on views may sometimes be a good idea, but if you are too keen on reuse you can cause a performance disaster.
    So do it right from the beginning.
