Mapping image objects

I have an image gallery application, i want to map some objects inside each image,then mouseover it , a small popup of that object opens.,
suppose if it is a picture of a big room, inside that so many items.say sofa,char ,table,bed...etc....want to map each item and when we click on that, description window of that particular item opens as a small popup....
Is there any way to do this application....
is there any way to do mapping or tagging an image in flex..??any techniquess...??.
does any body knows..please reply mee..

I believe you posted this question before, and I gave you the working solution:
draw empty graphic primitives - like rectangle - over particular area of your image. 'Empty' means that you don't specify fill or stroke; place this rect in a Group, give the Group an ID and that is it. You can listen to any mouse events when you hover or click this rect.

DG Observer triggering SIGSEGV Address not mapped to object errors in alert log

Hi,
I've got a Data Guard configuration using two 11.2.0.3 single instance databases. The configuration has been configured for automatic failover and I have an observer running on a separate box.
This fast-start failover configuration has been in place for about a month and in the last week, numerous SEGSEGV (address not mapped to object) errors are reported in the alert log. This is happening quite frequently (every 4/5 minutes or so).
The corresponding trace files show the process triggering the error coming from the observer.
Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm at my wits end trying to figure out how to fix the configuration to eliminate this error.
I must also note that even though this error is occurring a lot, it doesn't seem to be affecting any of the database functionality.

Hi..   The following is the alert log message, the traced file generated, and the current values of the data guard configuration. In addition, as part of my research, I attempted to apply patch 12615660 which did not take care of the issue. I also set the inbound_connection_timeout parameter to 0 and that didn't help either. I'm still researching but any pointer in the right direction is very much appreciated.

Map images automatically

Hello experts,
Is there a way to automate the mapping of file names from the import file to the Images that already exist in Images table (in the data manager)?
Currently the Import server only map the fields but not the values so i have to access the Import Manager and click on the automap button.

Hi ,
Yes you can do this in follwoing manner.
1. Make a field "Images" in your import file(assumiing its a .xls file).
2. Against each record mention the name of image(name should be same as the corresponding name of image you have stored in Images Table in jpg format).
3. while importing map this field images to the Images object table you have created in mdm.
4. Match records by Part No.
5.. Execute import and save this map. You can use this map for future auto imports.
NOTE: Name of image against each record in source file must match corresponding image name as stored in image table of mdm.

How to save image using an image object in servlet on web server

I'll be very thankful to anyone who helps me in this matter.
i developed an applet which draws on a buffered image.
now i want to save this buffered image as a jpg image on the web server.
i know i have to use servlets or jsp for this.
but i want to use servlet for specific reasons.
can anyone plz provide me the code for taking an image object from an applet and saving it thru servlet.
i need this solution as soon as possible.

Take a look around for URLConnection, and Applet to Servlet communication (also check the [url http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jsp?forum=33]Servlet forum).
Basic concepts will be to open a URLConnection to the URL mapped on your server for the servlet, then send the image, byte by byte, to the servlet, then ask for a reply from the servlet.
Once asked for a reply the servlet will need to take the image sent to it (hopefully via an HTTP post) and copy it to a location on disk. (You could have a parameter to the request that tells you want to name the file...)
As for the converting buffered image to JPEG, I haven't done this before, but I know others have. You can look around (more likely to find it in the [url http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jsp?forum=31]Java Programing[ul] forum) for the code needed.

Getting map images

I want to take my GPS data and overlay it onto a map. I was thinking about using the picture functions to draw features onto the map, e.g. highlighted path, and associated data at each point. I am tracking wheelchair users and I want to associate wheelchair data with position, using the mouse functions to bring up graphs and such, of the wheelchair data.
How do I get map data into a picture control onto which I can plot my gps data?

The Web-based Google Maps API may be the easiest and most flexible solution of all, if you're willing to:
1) use an ActiveX control (Internet Explorer here) in your LabVIEW panel, and
2) host a simple external Web page (or rely on someone else's page) to produce the map/overlay object for you to display
I've been looking for an excuse to play around with Google Maps for a while now, and your post spurred me into action. Attached is a VI (LV 8.0, sorry) that is a bit simpler than vivi's example. It allows you to specify a center point, zoom level, and list of lat/long points for which to display a path on the map. The Web page that produces the map image is hosted on my site for the sake of demonstration, but I included the HTML source in the VI so that you could easily transplant it to your own Web server if you want to pursue this approach.
There are other map-related examples posted in the forums besides mine and vivi's, but I didn't see one that addressed this specific need, so I figured I'd post mine. Let me know what you think.

So is this the way Apple works now? Not solving customers problems? I'm sure so many users have had this problem. I've had, and I reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac". I really, really miss Steve Jobs!

How to get the whole map image after zoom in?

I use mapviewer API to generate map images and put them in JSP as well as in Java Applet. I called the method getGeneratedImage(). After I using the methods zoomIn() or zoomOut(), I got a new map image. But the size is fixed, so after zoom in I can only see a part of the whole map. I would like to use scrollbar to see other part of the map after zoom in.
How can I solve this problem? I have the images as predefinied themes saved in database with MBR information.

Hi,
For the map request in MapViewer you may define the data area that you want to display, as well as the device size (width and height). The result is a java Image with width and height sizes. You can draw this image on a canvas with scroll bars, and if the size of the canvas is smaller than the image size, then you should see the scroll bars. But you have to code that. MapViewer will just return an Image with the specified size.
The zoom in/out options just change the data area, but keeps the device size. Therefore you should use the API methods to set the data area (setBox or setCenterAndSize) and to set the device size (setDeviceSize), in order to control the size of your resulted image, and then draw it on your canvas with scroll bars.

Mapping Value Objects to Java Classes

I have one Java Class:
public class MyBean {
    private ArrayList numbers;
I have created one mapping value object for the same in Flex:

    import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;

but when I fetch the object using Remote Object, the returned object has "numbers" as null even though I'm returning from Java a filled ArrayList.
Does any one know Why is it happening and what should I do for this.

Blaze DS - Mapping java object into another java application

Good afternoon,
I realized a Client-Server application. Server is Java-based. Client is Flex. Server services are accessible through Blaze DS.
Now I have some Java clients that need to access server services. Blaze DS permits to do it simply but I don't know how to map java objects as I do using [RemoteClass(alias.....)] construct at Actionscript side.
For example, server sends a MyObjectType and client receives an ASObject.
Is there a way to map java MyObjectType automatically at destination?

xstream will convert any given java object to xml. Not sure what support it offers for schemas.

SRM-MDM-CAT How to map images in Groups

Dear all,
can anybody please explain to me how I can map images in groups to articles?
What I did yet:
1. Import Images from different suppliers into MDM. Each Supplier has his own image group. Am I right if I think the images in a group are unique? So two or more images can have the same name in different groups and I then have different pictures?
2. Now I want to map my articles to these pictures with the import manager. I have the fields: supplier (=group), article_numer and image.
So how can I map the group into import manager? I only see the image field?

Hi Roman,
are you uploading the picture files directly into the repository or you only using hyperlinks?
By hyperlinks you can map this directly in the import manager. The image you have to import.
If you have all the needed pictures in the rep., then you have to map this in Data Manager.
There you have to select the items, which should have the same picture and in Image you can select the picture. Don't forget to save the changes!

Using map image in address book

I would like to use a map image of a persons address as their photo in address book. I have done this before but have forgotten how to do it again. I click on a contacts address and it takes me to the pre loaded map app on my ipod touch. I want to save that map image into the photo image for that contact. How is it done???

Pull up the Maps app and go to their addess
Take a screen shot and edit as necessary
In the contacts app tap Add Photo, or tap the existing photo. You can take a photo with the camera or use an existing photo.

We use OSE to generate HTML pages.
Why is the database dumped sometimes ?

It's an OS error. The core dump or trace file will contain information telling you want it was doing and what went wrong. Quite often they map to bugs.
Normally these things require Oracle support to diagnose although sometimes we can figure it out for ourselves.
