Mapping WLS XID to Oracle Database XID

Gentlemen
When WLS is acting as TM, typical WLS TX XIDs look like:
BEA1-00018F633E957D871D08
BEA1-00014C53BFCB7D871D08
etc.
When looking for TX XID=BEA1-00074C53BFCB7D871D08 in the Database, I found a PREPARED one (which is the one I'm looking for, because there is only one TX running :-) ) in the v$transaction materialized view:
select NAME, STATUS, XID, XIDUSN, XIDSLOT, XIDSQN from V$TRANSACTION;
NAME STATUS XID XIDUSN XIDSLOT XIDSQN
<null> PREPARED 0200110088F90000 2 17 63880
How is the XID issued from WLS mapped to this one inside Oracle DB?
Gladly awaiting your answer.
ciao
carlo

  • Records based on time from Oracle database

    Dear Experts,
    I need some valuable suggestion from your end.
    This a synchronous scenario from Sender ECC to Oracle Database.
    In Oracle Database, the swiping entry time of employees is stored in format as 03/11/2012 08:10:22 which would be the primary key while making ECC request.
    I have to fetch all the records along with other 3 output fields for the date between 03/11/2012 00:00:01 to 04/11/2012 00:00:01.
    The Oracle view has following column EMPID,CITY,TIME,DEVICE
    1. How would be ECC and JDBC request structure so that the start time and end time are captured?
    2.How to map the ECC and Oracle Database request structure where the SQL query would look something below.
    select EMPID,CITY,TIME,DEVICE  from time_details where
    TIME > TO_DATE('03/11/2012 00:00:01', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
    and
    TIME < TO_DATE('04/11/2012 00:00:01', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
    3. I tried to fetch the records by putting the WILDCARD in the date input value, I am receiving the response but with no payload.Is there any other design where I can fetch all the records for 03/11/2012 from 0 hours to 24 hours.
    Quick help is highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Rebecca

    Hi Praveen,
    Genius..
    You saved my whole day by giving this input..
    I would need your help to in the Access block specially to form the JDBC request structure from where clause. Let me first try to form the Message Type.
    <access>select EMPID,CITY,TIME,DEVICE  from time_details where TIME > TO_DATE('$placeholder1$', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') and TIME < TO_DATE('$placeholder2$', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS')</access>
    1. I assume for TO_DATE, I have to check in the DateTransformation Mapping function whether HH24:MI:SS is available or not.
    Thanks once again for your input.
    Regards
    Rebecca

  • Maaping Look up In mapping to an oracle database

    Hi all,
    I have to map the data from a web service into an oracle database. Until here is simple, but my problem is that I have to recover some data from the database during the mapping. I´m trying to follow the Blog Lookup’s in XI made simpler from Siva Maranani https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2219. [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    My problem is that the bussines system is harcoded in the code, and in my case is not going to be the same BS throw all the enviroment Dev, test, prod. Any Idea how to make this indepent from the enviroment?
    Many thanks
    Regards
    Noelia

    maybe you can make your code dynamic by adding these;
    String sysName = (String) System.getProperty("SAPSYSTEMNAME");
    if(sysName.equals("<Development>")){
    else if(sysName.equals("<Test>")){
    Do try the same.

  • Connecting to an Oracle database after clicking on a foi

    Does anyone know how or have any examples on how to connect to an oracle database after clicking on a 'feature of interest' in MapViewer? I want to be able to click on a 'feature of interest' on the map, and have a list of records from an oracle table displayed using the identified key of the foi. I am able to create the feature of interest, and add the event listener for 'mouse click', but am unsure how to connect to the database at this point. I have been able to connect to the database in a different jsp, but not from here. Thank you.

    1. Create a JSP page that does the database query. It should take the foi id as an input parameter.
    2. In the foi mouse click listener, display the JSP page in iframe. The iframe can be placed outside the map or inside the info window. The function should do something like this.
    function myClickListener(point, foi)
    mapview.displayInfoWindow(point, "<iframe id='my_iframe_id' frameborder=0 width=300px height=400px />", 300, 400) ;
    var myIframe = document.getElementById("my_iframe_id") ;
    myIframe.src = "http://myhost/myjsp?key=" + foi.id ;
    }

  • How can i save the data from the Oracle database to my local directory

    How can i save the data from the Oracle database to my local directory instead Of saving the data file to the Directory created on the Oracle Server ?
    I require to design the Procedure which will pull the data from various tables and needs to store the data in the Client's local directory.

    Since SQL*PLUS runs on the client, you can use SQL*PLUS to spool data to your local drive.
    You could also use the database to write a a specified drive where all users have access to (mapped network drive, e.g.). I wouldn't recommend doing it that way, but it is sometimes useful when the files are created in some nightly batch run.

    2 things come to mind with the netca log:
    1) We are NOT using HA... so it would seem we could ignore that.
    2) Port 1521 is NOT in use.  I ran netstat -anpl | grep 1521 in a 5 second delay loop while running the installation and it never appeared.
    Does anyone know if there is something different with Centos6.4 or AWS installations that would cause this?  Also, the log says that the installation went fine and the issues were with  configuration.  The spfile does not exist and when root.sh is run after the install, the oratab has no entry ($ORACLE_SID:$ORACLE_HOME:<N|Y> does not exist).
    Ideas?

    Found the issue in the http://stackoverflow.com forums. We had searched them before but did not search on the correct error. I searched on "The information provided for this listener is currently in use by other software on this computer." and found a forum thread that we explained our issue.
    We are using AWS as our server provider. AWS has 2 IPs it uses. The Public one which we use to putty into and access the server and the Private one that is on eth0. Evidently, the private IP needs to be in the /etc/hosts file not the public IP.
    The database installed and is running.

  • OIM 9.1.0.1 in oracle database 11g release 2

    I am installing IOM 9.1.0.1, using Oracle Database 11g release 2 but I have the following errors
    Failed to load XML. Unable to find record in UPA where USR_KEY = 1
    Failed to load XML. Unable to find record in GPA where UGP_KEY = 1
    I'm doing in Red Hat 5 x86-64

    The issue is not the WLS 10.3.2. We just had the same issue. The issue is the database 11gr2 is not supported. The highest supported DB is 11.1.0.6 (11gr1). There is a sequence number problem in 11gr2 and there is no workaround for it. So, go to 11.1.0.6 DB and the issue will be resolved. However, OIM 9.1.0.1 is not supported on WLS 10.3.2 so, install 9.1.0.1 and then install patch for 9.1.0.2 and then install a patch BP05. This will bring it to WLS 10.3.2 and OIM 9.1.0.2 BP05 and DB 11.1.0.6. These are compatible.

  • Using Coherence and Oracle Database as the CacheStore

    We are working on implementing a solution using Coherence and Oracle Database as the CacheStore. We initially implemented the Cache as a distributed-scheme which in turn uses the backing-map-scheme. We are trying to introduce transaction management and I used a scheme-ref in a transactional-scheme to point to an already existing distributed-scheme. However when I bring up the server, my custom coherence-cache-config.xml file is not recognized and Coherence comes up with the default setting. Given below is the snippet of my configuration file.
    1)     I would like to understand why the below configuration doesn’t work and am I doing it the right way? If not, what is the correct way of doing it?
    2)     There are a multiple transaction management options given in the documentation. Which are the ones that will work with a distributed-scheme and read-write-backing-map-scheme?
    3)     If transactional-schemes cannot work with distributed-scheme, what is the best way to have a distributed cache with a oracle database as a cache store?
    <caching-scheme-mapping>
    <cache-mapping>
    <cache-name>id<cache-name>
    <scheme-name>example-transactional<scheme-name>
    </cache-mapping>
    </caching-scheme-mapping>
    <caching-schemes>
    <transactional-scheme>
    <scheme-name>example-transactional</scheme-name>
    <scheme-ref>distributedcustomcache</scheme-ref>
    <thread-count>10</thread-count>
    </transactional-scheme>
    <distributed-scheme>
    <scheme-name>distributedcustomcache</scheme-name>
    <service-name>DistributedCache</service-name>
    <backing-map-scheme>
    <read-write-backing-map-scheme>
    <internal-cache-scheme>
    <local-scheme>
    <!--scheme-ref>categories-eviction</scheme-ref-->
    <scheme-name>inMemory</scheme-name>
    </local-scheme>
    </internal-cache-scheme>
    <cachestore-scheme>
    <class-scheme>
    <class-name>spring-bean:coherenceCacheStore</class-name>
    <init-params>
    <init-param>

    <param-value>{cache-name}</param-value>
    </init-param>
    </init-params>
    </class-scheme>
    </cachestore-scheme>
    <!--refresh-ahead-factor>0.5</refresh-ahead-factor-->
    </read-write-backing-map-scheme>
    </backing-map-scheme>
    <autostart>true</autostart>
    </distributed-scheme>

    Hi,
    If you look at the documentation for transactional-scheme here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24290_01/coh.371/e22837/appendix_cacheconfig.htm#BHCIABHA
    you will see that it says The transactional-scheme element defines a transactional cache, which is a specialized distributed cache. That means that a transactional-scheme is already a distributed-scheme.
    You will see from the same documentation above that there is no way in a transactional-scheme to configure things like cache-stores or listeners or even the backing-map-scheme as these are not supported on a transactional-scheme - so you cannot use a cache store.
    Personally I would not use transactional-scheme unless you have some really big reason to do so - the restrictions far outweigh any perceived advantage of having a transaction. There are better ways to build applications so they do not require transactions, that is what we have been doing for years with Coherence so far, and there is no real reason to change that.

  • Flat file to Oracle Database - Invalid Month

    Hi All
    I am New to XI and trying to create a simple interface between Legacy system (flat file) and Oracle database.
    I have some date fields in the Oracle table.
    When i run the interface it says "invalid month" with some SQL exception number.
    I am using (mm/dd/yyyy) format for the date.
    Is there any conversion i need to do. I am using XML SQL format for Oracle database.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Nagakishore

    Hello,
    Oracle is very picky with the way date is stored. Assume that you have a field datefield that you need to save. In mapping add an attribute hasqQuote and set it to "NO". When mapping the value to the node use to_date as shown below.
    <DateField hasQuot="No">
       TO_DATE("2004-07-20", "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mi:ss")</DateField>
    cheers,
    Naveen

  • Performance problems loading an XML file into oracle database

    Hello ODI Guru's,
    I am trying to load and XML file into the database after doing simple business validations. But the interface takes hours to complete.
    1. The XML files are large in size >200 Mb. We have an XSD file for the schema definition instead of a DTD.
    2. We used the external database feature for loading these files in database.
    The following configuration was used in the XML Data Server:
    jdbc:snps:xml?f=D:\CustomerMasterData1\CustomerMasterInitialLoad1.xml&d=D:\CustomerMasterData1\CustomerMasterInitialLoad1.xsd&re=initialLoad&s=CM&db_props=oracle&ro=true
    3. Now we reverse engineer the XML files and created models using ODI Designer
    4. Similar thing was done for the target i.e. an Oracle database table as well.
    5. Next we created a simple interface with one-to-one mapping from the XSD schema to the Oracle database table and executed the interface. This execution takes more than one hour to complete.
    6. We are running ODI client on Windows XP Professional SP2.
    7. The Oracle database server(Oracle 10g 10.2.0.3) for the target schema as well as the ODI master and work repositories are on the same machine.
    8. I tried changing the following properties but it is not making much visible difference:
    use_prepared_statements=Y
    use_batch_update=Y
    batch_update_size=510
    commit_periodically=Y
    num_inserts_before_commit=30000
    I have another problem that when I set batch_update_size to value greater that 510 I get the following error:
    java.sql.SQLException: class org.xml.sax.SAXException
    class java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException said -32413
    at com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.v.a(v.java)
    The main concern is why should the interface taking so long to execute.
    Please send suggestions to resolve the problem.
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,

    One of the techniques which I found improved performance for this scenario was to extract from the xml to a flat file, then to use SQL*LOADER or external tables to load the data into Oracle.

  • How can I connect to an oracle database remotely using telnet in DIAdem?

    I need to query an oracle database on a remote server and store the result back in DIAdem. Does anyone know how to telnet through diadem and return the result?

    DIAdem provides you with tools to connect to databases using SQL. Specifically, you can use SQL_Connect to open a connection to a database through a DSN (Data Source Name). The DSN has to be configured on the local machine (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools - > Data Sources) and has to point to the remote Database. You can map a network drive in the local machine so you can browse to your remote Database. The DSN will provide the link between DIAdem and the remote Database.
    If your communication has to be throught telnet, then I suggest you try to use an ActiveX control. VBScript doesn't support Telnet natively, but it does support ActiveX controls. You can create one from Visual Basic or try to find a telnet client that has one already.

  • Querying an Oracle Database Using XSL

    I know from years of experience as an Oracle DBA that to suggest that a program generate SQL is anathema, but I'm going to ask anyway!
    Is there currently (or soon) to be a means of submitting XSL (or, perhaps, some variant based on the most recently published "standard") to an Oracle database and receiving an XML result set?
    Note that I have not mentioned writing any SQL myself. I'm either looking for some middleware to translate the XSL "query" into the appropriate SQL query (with appropriate after-query transformations) or for the database engine itself to be able to parse and optimize XSL.
    I just read a position paper (dated 1998) on this site that says that Oracle intends to closely follow developments in the world of XML Query. And, I've read in a "Byte" article ("Where Are The XML Apps We Can See And Touch? Report From XML DevCon 2001", April 2001, Jon Udell) that Steve Muench had demonstrated some means of super-imposing an XML schema over top of a database in order to query it via XPath. Where does the product stand in regards to this type of functionality?
    Thanks in advance,
    David Park

    - The XSU can transform data retreived from object-relational database tables or views into XML.
    - The XSU can extract data from a XML document and using a canonical mapping, insert the data into the appropriate columns/attributes of a table or a view.
    - The XSU can extract data from a XML document and apply this data to updating or deleteing values of the appropriate columns/attributes.

  • Oracle Database Migration Verifier - Can it be used for diff table structur

    Hello,
    We have re-engineered the existing sybase tables to a new structure in Oracle for few of the tables.For example a table in sybase is normalized to two tables in oracle.In these cases can the "Oracle Database Migration Verifier" be mapped such that the columns in one table in sybase be mapped to two table is Oracle with their respective column names.
    In a gist can the tool be used even if the structure is not the same in the source and targer databases.
    Please let me know if you need more clarifications regarding my query.
    Regards,

    not really. The DMV was a simple tool for verifiying that what you now had in Oracle was what you had in Sybase. It does not do what you are expecting.

  • Question about Oracle Database 11g: Program with PL/SQL

    Hello,
    I've read that:
    This course is a combination of Oracle Database 11g: PL/SQL Fundamentals and Oracle Database 11g: Develop PL/SQL Program Units courses.
    In order to preparing for this exam, i should read the student guide, so there are 4 pdf files. One is Oracle Database 11g: PL/SQL Fundamentals, and the other 3 are regarding to Oracle Database 11g: Develop PL/SQL Program Units (volume I, II and III). My question is, regarding to this last one (Oracle Database 11g: Develop PL/SQL Program Units), which volume should i read? I saw that volume I has 400+ pages, and the IIIrd ~80.
    Which document should i read? What's the difference between them?
    Thanks!

    Passing the exam and becoming certified are not a matter of simply reading a book or taking a training class. While books and classroom materials as well as in-class training are all important steps in preparing for an exam, experience and research are just as important. I cannot tell you that there are 53 questions on the exam and every single question maps directly back to page 13, paragraph 3 in XX book. However, If you have the classroom material, and you have the list of exam topics, you should be able to find most of the information you need. In some cases, if you are not completely familiar with a specific topic, or you don't feel like the information in the book gives you all the information you need, you may need to do a little additional research. This is all part of preparing for an exam. This process is what makes you successful as a certified professional.
    Your focus seems to be solely on the course materials that you have and what volumes and chapters you should read. I'm trying to give you a different perspective - preparing for an exam is not necessarily about taking one course or reading one book and being ready. You need to review the exam topics and be sure that you are familiar with each topic.
