MARS Incident not triggered on interface flap
Hi,
MARS did not triggered an incident when interface flapped. I can see the event in raw messages. I have checked following rule, the count settings for this rule is set to 5, so this is getting triggered when interface flaps 5 times. Its not possible to modify the count settings.
SystemRule: State Change: Network Device
Event: OperationalStatusChange/CiscoIOS
Is there any other way so that an incident is triggered if an interface flaps once, or I have to configure a custom rule for this ?
Regards,
Akhtar
You can select the rule and then click on edit to change the count. My preference is to leave the Cisco supplied rules as they are. In this case, click on duplicate instead of edit and a copy will be made. At the top, change the group to "user rules" and you will see your copy. You can then select and edit this and change the parameters as you wish to have them. Once in the edit, click on the value to change (eg: the "5" under "count") and you can configure as required. Pay attention to the "time range" to be sure that you are getting the quantity of alerts you want. Bear in mind that for IOS there are a number of messages for each down/up fluctuation. You might want to add a qualifier in the "keyword" field (freeform text of the message) to qualify the exact message.

BSP Terminating event not triggering
Hello Friends,
We have a scenario, where a BSP application is triggered from a Workflow, for a certain approval, and after the user clicks on Approve button on the BSP Page, the BSP would write to the workflow container using SAP_WAPI_WRITE_CONTAINER and then we call SWF_WSC_CALLBACK_LAUNCH.
This used to work, but after an almost Fatal incident with our system, we are not able to get this to work.
We can see in the workflow log that the container is written, but the terminating event is not triggered, and the workflow doesn't move forward
Is there a setting that we're missing..??
Thanks,
Tat.Have you tried:
call function 'SAP_WAPI_DECISION_COMPLETE' -

Your problem will be cleared once you remove start_form and end_form as these are not necessary.we have to use start_from and end_from when we are operating on different forms.Presently we are operating on only no need to use this.
Once your problem is solved please close this. -
BTE 00001030 - Dunning form - OPEN_FI_PERFORM_00001030_P not triggering
Hi,
I am using BTE 1030 for replacing the assigned form in customizing settings with a 'Z' or customer specific one at runtime. (determine dunning form)
Although, I placed a Break-point (hardcoded) in my 'Z' function module, properly registered as a customer product, etc...
I debugged the complete process using Background debugging and the function module responsible for holding the 'OPEN_FI_PERFORM_00001030_P' .
As per the SAP standard functionality this can be used to replace or overwrite the form assigned to the DUNNING in SPRO with customer form.
When I run my DUN (F150) it doesn't encounter the break-point nor it goes to the standard 'OPEN_FI' statement '00001030'.
Also logically while printing dunning notices it system encounters 'PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE' which must be triggered and it contains the 'GET_DUNNING_CUSTOMIZING' function module. The 'OPEN_FI' lies in this function module. But none of the above is triggering while 'Background debugging'.
Till now I am unable to resolve this issue.
Kindly, suggest me a better approach.
Best regards,
Harsh Dave
Edited by: Harsh Dave on Apr 1, 2009 2:08 PMHello,
Yes, that might be the case.
But, In in my case the BTE 00001030 shows (Process interfaces) - DUNNING - Determine form
As per SAP documentation, this is useful for replacing the dunning form determined during customization settings with 'custom' dunning form at runtime.
In fact, when I debug the 'print_dunning_notices', the table 'APCUSTAB' - for customer enhancement products on customer level is empty.
Hence, my BTE is not triggering, although I have registered my BTE as a customer.
Do you have any suggestions?
Best regards,
Harsh Dave -
Top-of-page event is not triggered
Hi,
I have a problem with top-of-page event. I have a report that shows the results in ALV grid display. But I use "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY" not OO alv and there is only one screen with number 1000. On the menu toolbar there is a button that prints the data of ALV in a list using "write" statement. While writing , "top of page" event is not triggered. I expect that it is triggered at the first "write" statement but isn't. Is there anyone who knows the cause of this problem?
The code is below.
Thanks.

Shipment output not triggered...
Hi, I tried to find solution for this in forum, but could not... In my case,
When user creates a shipment using VT01N/VT02N and clicks the planning button and then clicks on save button, I need a custom idoc to be sent to SAP PI.
I tested sending this idoc from WE19 to PI and it is working fine...
But the output type is not triggering from VT01N/VT02N. I am not sure which of the config setting is wrong. Can someone point out which setting is missing/may have issues.
Also, I did an output determination analysis and it shows me a green entry which means it chose the custom output type and related access sequence. But then why is idoc not generated. I have put a break point in the custom function module in which I populate the custom idoc segment.
Please help to fill in the gaps ...
1. I checked in NACE, under V7 - Transportation, there is my custom output type ZEDI, with partner functions set as
EDI - LS - Logical system
EDI - CR - Carrier
I am not sure if this is correct !!
Processing routine points to RSNASTED, EDI_PROCESSING.
I checked the condition records tab...
The shipment type ZOUT is configured there, with one entry
ZOUT - DESCP - LS - logical system name i.e. PI system name - medium as 6.Date/Time as 3.
Again I am not sure if this is failing !!
Procedure tab does not have any entry related to this.
Access sequence also does not have any entry.
The partner profile (WE20) entries as as follows;
for the PI partner, Partner role is LS, message type is SHPMNT, under outbound params.When I double click that I see receiver port set, basic type has custo idoc name, Message control tab has V7 - ZEDI - process code ZSSS. And that process code is bound to the custom function module where I fill the idoc segment.
But finally I do not see any idoc generated !!
Please advise.Hi ,
1. Does the condition record is automatically pulling up in the Vt02n transaction or no ?
2. Try first checking the IDOC trigger with the Standard Process Code SD11 to see if the Output Determination is working correct. Once u know that part then the partner profile setup to check with the Process Code ZSSS, whether the output is being determined or not. Based on the same atleast u can narrow down the root cause.
Are u working on this Interface for a Advance Shipment notification to the customer ?
Cheers

Why does the sensing interface flap or frequently go to the down state in IDS ?
Hi all,
this is the answer I found in Cisco website, but according to this, I didnot make any updates or any configuration changes, but stilll my sensing interface is going down. I'm not even getting the error messages which they have mentioned at the end.
Ans: During a signature update and reconfigurations, sensorApp stops to process packets as it processes the new signatures in the update. The network driver detects that sensorApp has stopped and pulls any new packets from the buffer. So the network driver does different things, which depends on the configuration and sensor model:
Promiscuous Interface—It brings the link down on the interfaces, and brings the link back up once sensorApp starts to monitor again.
Inline Interface or Inline Vlan Pair—It depends on the Bypass setting:
Bypass Auto—The driver keeps the link up and begins to pass packets through without analysis. It then reverts back to sending the packets through sensorApp once sensorApp starts to monitor again.
Bypass Off—The driver brings the link down on the interfaces, which is the same as in promiscuous mode, and brings them back up once sensorApp starts to monitor again.
So, if sensor app does not pull packets from the buffer, which possibly occurs because there is no interface configured to process packets, then the driver can put the interface in a down state.
These logs are seen when the sensing interface flaps:
28Jun2011 09:03:09.483 6050.885 interface[409] Cid/W errWarning Inline databypass has started. 28Jun2011 09:03:13.639 4.156 interface[409] Cid/W errWarning Inline databypass has stopped. 28Jun2011 09:19:23.922 970.283 interface[409] Cid/W errWarning Inline databypass has started. 28Jun2011 09:19:27.486 3.564 interface[409] Cid/W errWarning Inline databypass has stopped.It is possible you are overloading that little 4215. If that is the case you should also be seeing "missed packet percentage" messages in your events.
How much traffic is your 4215 getting? Those sensors will start to drop packets for inspection at about 30 Mb/s.

Radiobutton during at selection-screen event is not triggered
Hi experts,
I have this event:
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR p_file
perform f_file_sel.
I want to select a file according to the radiobuttons on the selection screen, but during the f_file_sel form I recognized, that the radiobutton which I selected is not triggered.
It's only triggered after 'start-of-selection'.
How can I force the program to trigger it when f_file_sel is processing?Hi,
SELECT-OPTIONS : so_matnr1 FOR mvke-matnr MODIF ID id1,
so_matnr2 FOR mara-wrkst MODIF ID id2.
PARAMETERS : rb_mat TYPE c RADIOBUTTON GROUP rbg DEFAULT 'X' USER-COMMAND hid,
rb_var TYPE c RADIOBUTTON GROUP rbg.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF rb_mat EQ c_x.
IF screen-group1 EQ 'ID2'.
screen-input = '0'.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
IF rb_var EQ c_x.
IF screen-group1 EQ 'ID1'.
screen-input = '0'.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDLOOP.
Apply this piece of code to your requirement with files in place of fields.Hope your issue will be resolved.

Interface flapping and always shows up/up even other side is shutdown
Hi, there, I have a interface flapping issue in my network. 2 Cat3560 is connected through 2 trunk port configured with port-channel. When I shutdown one of port in Vlan100, other 2 ports in the same vlan will flap going up and down and OSPF will lose the neighbor. One thing I notice that is when I shutdown the switch port, on the other side of router, the L1-L2 is still up/up. I think it should be up/down. I have a keepalive setting on the router interface to 1800. Any body can give me some hints here to troubleshoot?
Here is the switch configs.

When I shutdown interface gig 0/2, interface gig0/3 and gig0/4 will go down as well and come back online after a while.
Thanks for your help.Your question is really missing a BUNCH of details, but I will take a stab at it:
1) Why on earth do you have a keepalive set to 1800 seconds on the router?
2) Your discussion and config above only talks about qty 2 c3560 switches. Where is the router in this topology?
3) You are going against several Cisco best practices here with your trunk ports:
a) I would never config a port-channel as mode 'on' because the switches will ignore any errors on the ports that would not keep the channel stable because you have configured them to hard set on. ALWAYS set the port channel to mode 'desirable silent'. The config needs to match on both ends of the link.
b) I would never config a port as a trunk mode 'on' without also running UDLD. It appears that your 2-port port-channel trunk above is using copper ports. You MUST enable UDLD on the copper gigabit ports manually (UDLD is enable by default on fiber gigabit ports). You may need to 'udld enable' globally on the switch depending on the IOS version. Obviously, as above, the same config needs to be done on both switches.
4) The log message that you get when you say ports g0/3 and g0/4 go down, is that for just VLAN 100 or are they line-protocol messages?
5) When port g0/2 goes down, are there any other ports in VLAN 100 still up?
6) What are the results of the following commands:
show int g0/3 switchport
show spanning-tree summary
show spanning-tree int po1
show spanning-tree int g0/2
show spanning-tree int g0/3
show spanning-tree int g0/4
show spanning-tree vlan 100
show spanning-tree vlan 600
show int status
show etherchannel summary
show etherchannel detail
show int trunk mod 0
Post more details and I'll try to help... -
Cisco Prime Configuration Archive on Interface Flap
Hey All,
We've been using Cisco Prime 2.1 for a bit now and I have a question about the configuration archive based on change events. Will Cisco Prime go and attempt to perform a config backup based on an interface flap? Looking at the audit logs it appears that it does that (see attachment). Is this a default behavior and does anyone see any benefit to this? It seems like if an interface is flapping it will continuously log into the device to see if the configuration has changed.
BrianHi Brian,
I don't think configuration achieve can be triggered due to interface flap ,however if there is any change in the configuration yes PI can do the config Archive
Go to Administration > System Settings > Configuration Archive
Archive Configuration on receiving configuration change events? Check box this option
Thanks-
Afroz

Hi everyone,
I am not sure this is the right forum to post in. I am developing an inDesign extension in actionscript and I've drawing my own components which are supposed to retrieve an JPG image from the web and display it within the extension interface. I tried to use the Loader class to retrieve the image but none of the events are fired. Alternatively I tried using URLLoader, which does trigger events, but returns a ByteArray that I have to convert back to BitmapData. So I'm back to my original issue, my code in the "complete" event handler is never executed. Note that I tried to trigger "init", "progress", and "security error" as well, none of them are triggered. My code looks something like that:
public class LayoutTileRenderer extends VBox
private var coverBitmapData:BitmapData;
public function loadImage(imageByteArray:ByteArray):void{
var bitmapLoader:Loader = new Loader();
coverBitmapData = new BitmapData(84, 118, true);
bitmapLoader.addEventListener(flash.events.Event.COMPLETE, function(e:flash.events.Event):void {
trace("Loaded completed");
coverBitmapData.draw(bitmapLoader);
// then draw the bitmap
bitmapLoader.loadBytes(imageByteArray);
override protected function commitProperties():void{
super.commitProperties();
... // retrieve imageByteArray via URLLoader
loadImage(imageByteArray);
Does anyone have a clue why the events are not triggered. And otherwise has a better way of converting the bytes I get in my URLLoader to BitmapData for display?
Thanks in advance for your help.Well well, I solved it. I was missing "contentLoaderInfo".
bitmapLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(...)
And I really have no excuse since it's really all over the doc... -
Re: Dynamic Action is not triggering in LSMW Recording
Hello All,
In SAP HRMS personnel actions if i do using LSMW Recording it is not triggering the dynamic actions.
Is there any mechanism to Trigger dynamic action in LSMW Recording ?
How to find the differences in process with and with out recording ?
Small help is also highly appreciated.
With Regards,
Sunil,
+91-9903695384.Yes. Do one thing. First study the dynamic action. Try to understand what the dynamic action is doing. Is it creating data in other infotype or is it updating some other table. Once it is clear what the dynamic action is doing then you can try to implement the same logic in LSMW. In LSMW there is a provision to add more than one recording and this recording can be called based on some logic..
Thanks & Regards,
