Marshal question: Namespace Qualifier (the prefix).

Hi all,
when in the OTD tester I marshal my document and it adds what seems like a default qualifier 'tns'.
For example, I import this XSD:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="urn:test" targetNamespace="urn:test" elementFormDefault="qualified">
     <xs:element name="Test" type="TypeTest"/>
     <xs:complexType name="TypeTest">
          <xs:sequence>
               <xs:element name="FourCharacters" type="Max4Text"/>
          </xs:sequence>
     </xs:complexType>
     <xs:simpleType name="Max4Text">
          <xs:restriction base="xs:string">
               <xs:maxLength value="4"/>
          </xs:restriction>
     </xs:simpleType>
</xs:schema>I export XSD node 'Test' to OTD.
I run the OTD tester.
I click marshal and I get:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<tns:Test xmlns:tns="urn:test"><tns:FourCharacters>test</tns:FourCharacters></tns:Test>I'd like to control the qualifier name ('tns') or be able to get rid of it and have a default namespace.
Is this possible?
Thanks for any help,
Stijn.

Hello,
I think this two page may help you:
http://www.xqueryfunctions.com/xq/functx_change-element-ns.html
http://www.xqueryfunctions.com/xq/functx_change-element-ns-deep.html
Just modify the XQuery function source into single XQuery and use it by XmlManager::query().
Thanks,
Rucong

  • How to change the Namespace of the payload

    Hi,
    I have 2 questions about the namespace of the XML Payload.
    1. How can I change the Namespace Prefix?
    Since we have SP13 the prefix is <b>p2</b> with the previous Versions the prefix was <b>p1</b> or <b>p0</b> . Is there a possibility to change this prefix (without an external XSLT or Java Mapping)?
    2. How can I change the whole Namespace?
    I know the function of the Message-Type to change the namespace of the Message. But in one scenario I have to implement 3 namespace statements and 1 schema location
    <b><ns0:ZMCFAUF1 xmlns:ns0="TDB" xmlns:xdb="http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="TDB zmcfauf1.xsd"></b>
    Is there a possibility to implement this without an external Mapping?
    Thank you for your help
    Thomas<b></b>

    Hi Thomas,
    according to your first question: Why does this matter to you? As I already wrote in another thread:
    According to the XML namespace declaration the prefixes are just internal aliases with no external meaning.
    E.g. <ns1:abc xmlns:ns1="http://www.sap.com" /> and
    <iLikeLongPrefixes:abc xmlns:iLikeLongPrefixes ="http://www.sap.com" /> are totally equivalent according to the XML namespace specification.
    Therefore, everyone (human or machine) who produces a program can choose the prefixes as he wants. Moreover, he may change the rules for creating these prefixes without being incompatible.
    Consequently, the namespace prefixes should not be important for you.
    Greetings
    Stephan

  • Adding namespace qualified element nodes

    Is there a way to add namespace qualified element nodes to
    a document stored in a BDBXML container using the XmlModify class
    (BDBXML version 2.3.10, Linux)? Or, for that matter, any other
    handles?
    Particularly, is it possible to achieve this using the PHP
    extension?
    Let me give an example.
    When doing queries, you can set a namespace in the XmlQueryContext
    or in the XQuery expression itself:
    # prefix cannot be '' as of BDBXML 2.3.10
    $qc->setnamespace('a', 'http://as-guides.com/wev1');
    declare namespace a = "http://as-guides.com/wev1"; ...
    declare default element namespace "http://as-guides.com/wev1"; ...
    You can then refer to your namespace qualified elements as "a:Bla"
    etc. Or just as "Bla" if you make your namespace the default
    namespace.
    So far, so good.
    Now what if I want to add a namespace qualified element to
    my document? However I go about setting the namespace I always end
    up with either an apparently namespace qualified element which the
    namespace is not registered for or an element in the empty
    namespace.
    What I want is my element to adhere to the namespace
    "http://as-guides.com/wev1", which is set as the default
    element namespace in my document.
    Here is an example document.
    <Broadcast xmlns="http://as-guides.com/wev1"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://as-guides.com/wev1 ds.xsd">
    <Start epoch="1186100400">2007-08-03T00:20:00Z</Start>
    <End epoch="1186100700">2007-08-03T00:25:00Z</End>
    <Content>
    <Title>Tagesschau</Title>
    <Genre>Nachrichten</Genre>
    </Content>
    </Broadcast>
    And here is my PHP code.
    $docname = '2007-08-02-1186100400-25758173-ard.xml_41368';
    $mgr = new xmlmanager;
    $cont = $mgr->opencontainer($argv[1]);
    $cont->addalias('tv');
    $qc = $mgr->createquerycontext();
    $qc->setnamespace('a', 'http://as-guides.com/wev1');
    $qexp = $mgr->prepare('/a:Broadcast', $qc);
    $mod = $mgr->createmodify();
    $mod->addappendstep($qexp, XmlModify_Element, 'a:now', time());
    $doc = $cont->getdocument($docname);
    $docval = new xmlvalue($doc);
    echo $docval->asString(), "\n";
    $uc = $mgr->createupdatecontext();
    $mod->execute($docval, $qc, $uc);
    Here is what gets added as last child node under "Broadcast":
    <a:now xmlns="">1189605065</a:now>
    So the namespace prefix I specified is added verbatim, without
    regard to the namespace settings in $qc (XmlQueryContext) - which
    do work fine for the query. No namespace declaration for "a"
    is added to the document. The resulting XML is invalid, as
    xmllint correctly points out.
    namespace error : Namespace prefix a on now is not defined
    So settings in XmlQueryContext do not seem to have any bearing on
    my update. XmlUpdateContext, on the other hand, does not have any
    methods defined for setting the namespace.
    Not setting the namespace in $qc (XmlQueryContext) and specifying
    it in the XQuery itself didn't work either. I left out the call to
    "setnamespace()" and changed the query to:
    declare default element namespace "http://as-guides.com/wev1";
    /Broadcast
    And I changed "a:now" to just "now". Here is what got added:
    <now xmlns="">1189607498</now>
    I didn't expect this second version to work, but I did expect the first
    one to work.
    What is the meaning of supplying XmlQueryContext to the execute()
    method?
    Is there a way to add namespace qualified elements to a document?
    If so, how can it be done?

    Thanks for your answer, George. I haven't quite understood how to make it do the trick, though.
    To change one document I did:
    dbxml> open tv.dbxml
    dbxml> setnamespace a http://as-guides.com/wev1
    Binding a -> http://as-guides.com/wev1
    dbxml> getdoc 2007-08-02-1186104300-25758380-sat1.xml_40564
    1 documents found
    dbxml> print
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Broadcast xmlns="http://as-guides.com/wev1"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://as-guides.com/wev1 ds.xsd">
    <Start epoch="1186104300">2007-08-03T01:25:00Z</Start>

    Appending into nodes: doc(2007-08-02-1186104300-25758380-sat1.xml_40564)/a:Broadcast an object of type: element with name: and content: <a:now xmlns:a='http://as-guides.com/wev1'>NOW</a:now>
    0 modifications made.
    No change made to my document. I used the doc() function instead of collection() as in the example you gave. Using collection() as in your example (verbatim) I get an error message:
    stdin:17: append failed, Error: XmlModify::execute: Cannot perform a modification on an XmlValue that isn't either Node or Document type
    This is in the FAQ, but I don't quite get it.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/berkeley-db/faq/xml_faq.html#49
    Anyway, I can still perform modifications outside of the container and then replace the document. Or wait till 2.4.
    Thanks for your answer and the good work. Regards,
    Michael

  • Error parsing envelope: Header child element must be namespace qualified

    Hey all,
    I'm creating a BPEL process that invokes a web service. The web service has an authenticate method that returns a session ID that I attempt to invoke. However, the process fails when trying to parse the response when invoking that operation. I checked the server logs and it's reporting the following: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Error parsing envelope: most likely due to an invalid SOAP message.: Header child element 'ID' must be namespace qualified!
    So I invoked the authenticate operation using SOAP UI, since it doesn't parse the response but merely displays it, and here's what was returned (slightly modified):
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
       <soapenv:Header>
          <ID>xxx</ID>
       </soapenv:Header>
       <soapenv:Body>
          <ns1:SessionID xmlns:ns1="http://some-namespace">
             <ns1:ID>xxx</ns1:ID>
          </ns1:SessionID>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    Indeed the ID tag in the header doesn't have a namespace prefix. Looking at the SOAP 1.1 spec it says, “A header entry is identified by its fully qualified element name, which consists of the namespace URI and the local name. All immediate child elements of the SOAP Header element MUST be namespace-qualified.”
    I was told that the code for the web service is frozen and cannot be changed. Are there any ways around this problem? Is it possible for the BPEL process to not parse the SOAP header?
    Thanks,
    Bill

    All,
    I think I might use a HeaderHandler to either strip the offending element from the header all together or modify it so that it's namespace qualified. The problem is, I can't find much documentation on it. The only thing I can find is this: Manipulating XML Data in BPEL section 3.19. It says to implement the HeaderHandler interface but doesn't give the fully qualified name of the interface. I'm guessing it's referring to com.collaxa.cube.ws.HeaderHandler. The invoke method that is defined in the interface is a little different than the one in the documentation. Mine has a signature of public void invoke(CXPartnerLink partnerLink, String operationName, Map payload, List list, Map map2)...what do these parameters represent and what key/value types do the maps have? It also says to register the handler in the bpel.xml deployment descriptor file but I can't find one - is it auto-generated? If so, where is it. If not, how do I generate it? I appreciate any information.
    Thanks,
    Bill

  • OC4J: marshalling does not recreate the same data structure onthe client

    Hi guys,
    I am trying to use OC4J as an EJB container and have come across the following problem, which looks like a bug.
    I have a value object method that returns an instance of ArrayList with references to other value objects of the same class. The value objects have references to other value objects. When this structure is marshalled across the network, we expect it to be recreated as is but that does not happen and instead objects get duplicated.
    Suppose we have 2 value objects: ValueObject1 and ValueObject2. ValueObject1 references ValueObject2 via its private field and the ValueObject2 references ValueObject1. Both value objects are returned by our method in an ArrayList structure. Here is how it will look like (number after @ represents an address in memory):
    Object[0] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@1
    Object[0].getValueObject[0] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@2
    Object[1] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@2
    Object[1].getValueObject[0] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@1
    We would expect to see the same (except exact addresses) after marshalling. Here is what we get instead:
    Object[0] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@1
    Object[0].getValueObject[0] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@2
    Object[1] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@3
    Object[1].getValueObject[0] = com.cramer.test.SomeVO@4
    It can be seen that objects get unnecessarily duplicated – the instance of the ValueObject1 referenced by the ValueObject2 is not the same now as the instance that is referenced by the ArrayList instance.
    This does not only break referential integrity, structure and consistency of the data but dramatically increases the amount of information sent across the network. The problem was discovered when we found that a relatively small but complicated structure that gets serialized into a 142kb file requires about 20Mb of network communication. All this extra info is duplicated object instances.
    I have created a small test case to demonstrate the problem and let you reproduce it.

    ex.printStackTrace(System.out);
    The parameters you might be interested in playing with are HARDCODE_SERIALISATION and TEST_SIZE defined at the beginning of RMITestApplication.java. The HARDCODE_SERIALISATION is a flag that specifies whether Java serialisation should be used to pass the data across or we should rely on OC4J marshalling. TEST_SIZE defines the size of the object graph and the ArrayList structure. The bigger this size is the more dramatic effect you get from data duplication.
    The test case outputs the structure both on the server and on the client and prints out the size of the serialised structure. That gives us sufficient comparison, as both structure and its size should be the same on the client and on the server.
    The test case also demonstrates that the problem is specific to OC4J. The standard Java serialisation does not suffer the same flaw. However using the standard serialisation the way I did in the test case code is generally unacceptable as it breaks the transparency benefit and complicates interfaces.
    To run the test case:
    1) Modify provider URL parameter value on line 15 of the RMITestApplication.java for your environment.
    2) Deploy the bean to the server.
    4) Run RMITestApplication on a client PC.
    5) Compare the outputs on the server and on the client.
    I hope someone can reproduce the problem and give their opinion, and possibly point to the solution if there is one at the moment.
    Cheers,
    Alexei

    Hi,
    Eugene, wrong end user recovery.  Alexey is referring to client desktop end user recovery which is entirely different.
    Alexy - As noted in the previous post:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/bc67c597-4379-4a8d-a5e0-cd4b26c85d91/dpm-2012-still-requires-put-end-users-into-local-admin-groups-for-the-purpose-of-end-user-data?forum=dataprotectionmanager
    Each recovery point has users permisions tied to it, so it's not possible to retroacively give the users permissions.  Implement the below and going forward all users can restore their own files.
    This is a hands off solution to allow all users that use a machine to be able to restore their own files.
     1) Make these two cmd files and save them in c:\temp
     2) Using windows scheduler – schedule addperms.cmd to run daily – any new users that log onto the machine will automatically be able to restore their own files.
    <addperms.cmd>
     Cmd.exe /v /c c:\temp\addreg.cmd
    <addreg.cmd>
     set users=
     echo Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00>c:\temp\perms.reg
     echo [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\Agent\ClientProtection]>>c:\temp\perms.reg
     FOR /F "Tokens=*" %%n IN ('dir c:\users\*. /b') do set users=!users!%Userdomain%\\%%n,
     echo "ClientOwners"=^"%users%%Userdomain%\\bogususer^">>c:\temp\perms.reg
     REG IMPORT c:\temp\perms.reg
     Del c:\temp\perms.reg

  • Default namespace in the SOAP sender adapter

    Hi All!
    Sorry for the following really easy question but what is the default interface name and default namespace in the SOAP sender Adapater? The name of the interface to where the adapter should forward the received SAOP message?
    it means that for every soap message a new communication channel should be created. Or only one channel is enough?
    And in the receiving case only one is enough or for every web services a new receiving communication channel need to be created?
    Thank you for your answer.

    Hi,
    q) what is the default interface name and default namespace in the SOAP sender Adapater?
    Ans) Soap Sender does not have any default namespace and interface.  That can be set at Sender Agreement.
    q) The name of the interface to where the adapter should forward the received SAOP message?
    Ans : That message is forwarded to Adapter Engine and then to integration Engine. That takes interface in sender agrement and Namespace.
    it means that for every soap message a new communication channel should be created. Or only one channel is enough?
    Ans:  For sender, 1 communication channel is enough. For Receiver, if you have 10 different systeems, then  you need to create those many receiver communication channels .
    And in the receiving case only one is enough or for every web services a new receiving communication channel need to be created?
    Ans : Same as above
    Note  Soap message is not criteria for creating channels....  Please note that .. soap communication channels creates soap messagae.

    Remove Introscope agend configuration temporarily from yours managed servers and try call the service.
    This is the cause of your problem.
    Contact your Introscope Administration and task about the problem of Introscope + OSB + BPEL (SOA Server).
    Workaround:
    Remove Introscope agend configuration temporarily from yours managed servers and try call the service.

  • Namespace issue--No target namespace in the xsd

    Hi All,
    Currently facing error at the time of deploying composites because of namespace issues
    I have two source system XSD's without targetnamespace and both schemas are defaulted to the same namespace as xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    i am using these xsd's in bpel process as below
    My Bpel processA (Using XSD-A) invoking source system with Operation A and source returns the XML content in string format and i am parsing the XML content using XSD-A. After parsing based on the business logic i am invoking Bpel process C.
    After Invoking bpel process C , Bpel process A invokes Bpel process B with 3 input parameters. Now my Bpel process B invokes source system with Operation B and source returns the XML content in string format and i am parsing the XML content using XSD-B.
    Now at the time of deployment i am facing issue in deploying Bpel Process-A and getting errors as *"element names are duplicated"*. In Both XSD most of the element are named as same including root element.
    I am sure this happens because there is no qualifier namespace in the xsd to avoid ambiguous.
    Could some one please help me in solving this issue by using same xsd without namespace
    Regards,
    Tarak.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the response
    No simple solution... You will have to work this around... In your case you have the xml as string, so may you can inject a namespace there and change the XSD's accordingly...
    Yes.. Its difficult to get the solution for this and more over i am not using both xsd's but using wsdl file of sever address side in reference panel which as the second XSD with same namespaces.
    I tried injecting custom namespace to solve the issue but at run time i am not able to get the node values because source system giving with default namespace and in SOA i am accepting with custom targetnamespace.Because of this my xpath is not working.
    Separate into two composites would be another way, but that doesn't seem to be an option...
    This can be done but again one composite should reference the other one which in turn coming back to the same problem.
    For Work around i have create one more service which can break the dependency between two services using xsd's of same default namespace. But i feel this is not an effective solution for designing the process.
    Let me know if you strike with some work around on this.
    Regards,
    Tarak.

  • Can we define a namespace in the B2B for the XML which generates for EDI

    Hi All,
    I have defined an EDI 856 document which is a inbound. When I give a input EDI message the translation happens and it generates an XML message. So, in the XML message that is generated it gives me a junk namespace.
    <Transaction-856 xmlns="NS_31CA8D0F33324F95A0BF15D85539C27E20081212182610" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" XDataVersion="1.0" Standard="X12" Version="V5020" CreatedDate="2009-01-06T15:56:35" CreatedBy="ECXEngine_837" GUID="{C0F6BEDD-356C-41BA-A89F-775061F2EFAF}">
    So, is there a way in B2B where we could give the namespace of my choice .And that namespace would be generated in the XML File.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kaavya

    Hi Dheeraj,
    The XSD which i am using already has the namespace in the format which you mentioned.
    Ex:-<xsd:schema xmlns="urn:oracle:integration:b2b:DCC1FCD2811C47748DF43A39F735F4F0" targetNamespace="urn:oracle:integration:b2b:DCC1FCD2811C47748DF43A39F735F4F0" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" version="1.0" elementFormDefault="qualified">
    But still, while generating the XML file it gives the junk namespace.

  • Missing Namespace with the SOAP msg sent by C#

    Hi All,
    The wsdl file is generated by SAP XI. I used the XMLSpy to test it and get successful response.
    Then I used wsdl.exe of .net 2.0 sdk to generate the C# proxy class, and use csc.exe to compile it to a dll, and then refer it in the project. After sent the soap message by C#, the XI shows the message is wrong, then I compare this soap envelop body with the one I sent by the XMLSpy as follow:
    C#:
    <MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv xmlns="http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp">
    <content>
    </content>
    </MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv>
    XMLSPY:
    <m:MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv xmlns:m="http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp">
    <content>
    </content>
    </m:MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv>
    so it is the namespace, according the xml generated by C#, the MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv element isn't inlucded in the namespace http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp, which cause the error.
    Anyone know how to fix it?
    Thanks and B'Rgds,

    Hi YiNing,
    the message created by C# is indeed wrong.
    Check that in XMLSpy message, the default namespace is never set and that the message namespace is set to prefix "m" and that only the root tag is included in this namespace. All the other tags have no namespace (since they are not attached to any namespace prefix) or have the default namespace, which was not set.
    On the other hand, in the C# message, the default namespace is set in the root tag. The root tag is related to the default namespace (it has no prefix) and hence it has the proper namespace. However, the other tags are also related to the default namespace (no namespace prefix) which was set. So these other tags are the erroneous ones.
    Try to check that in your proxy, but it seems like a bug in the proxy generator application.
    Just as a test, send the message from C# in a request from XMLSpy (replace the automatically generated message inside SOAP Body). The same error would be expected.
    Also as a test, send this message in XMLSpy:
    <MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv xmlns="http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp">
    <content xmlns="">
    </content>
    </MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv>
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • Matching namespace qualified xpaths vis JAXP xsl transforms

    I am having problems getting template
    matches to work when matching against
    namespace qualified tags. I am passing
    the source xml and xsl into a JAXP transformer.
    The xsl templates sucessfully match against non namespace
    qualified tags but not namespace qualified tags.
    I have set the DocumentBuilderFactory to be namespace aware. The xml source and the xsl source are loaded
    from the file system i.e. the DOM's are not
    built programmatically.

  • Namespace problem The result is empty for the XPath expression

    I have a problem with BPEL namespaces. The webservice that my BPEL process is using has changed namespaces (i.e. the java code package names changed and therefore the namespaces associated with the packages.)
    Before there was only one namespace associated with this web services; now there are multiple namespaces.
    I have changed the namespaces in my .bpel file; however I get the result is empty for XPath expression:
    /nsxml0:getMailResponse/nsxml0:getMailReturn/nsxml1:mailOut
    Any help appreciated...:(

    hey b-o-s-t-o-n,
    have your verified that the namespace import is correct, and with the right prefix
    you xpath contains 2 namespace prefixes
    /nsxml0:getMailResponse/nsxml0:getMailReturn/nsxml1:mailOut
    so check the bpel file and maybe the wsdl that has been generated (that inclused the plnk extensions for your external service)
    this is the most common issue ..

  • The prefix mx for element mx:Array is not bound

    Hi All
    I have a component:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
      <mx:Array id="arr">
        <mx:Object label="Flex"
          thumbnailImage="http:/someURL"

      </mx:Array>
    <mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">
    </mx:Canvas>
    This gives me an error
    The prefix "mx" for element "mx:Array" is not bound
    I need a root element here, but I cannot use mx:Canvas, what would be the best choice?
    cheers
    Luca

    Hi Luca,
    Try to put the Array inside your canvas rather than outside ...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?
    <mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">
    <mx:Array id="arr">
        <mx:Object label="Flex"
          thumbnailImage="http:/someURL"
          fullImage="http://someURL" />
      </mx:Array>
    </mx:Canvas>
    Why  you dont want to use mx:Canvas as root tag of your component.. ?? However which ever component you use try to put the <mx:Array/> inside your root tag of your component, otherwise you will be thrown the same error as mentioned. The error occurs as the the compiler doesn't recognize the namespace mx for the array since you declared it outside the root tag of your component.
    Thanks,
    Bhasker
