Matrix Bad Value exception in ItemCode column

hello ,
i faced an exception with filling itemcode column
As u know this column is linked object and have CFL (choose from list)
the problem i faced that on choosing from list i choose an item to add new line in matrix
this event done and a new line added sucessfully
but the problem was with CFL , that it didnt able to close , it still opened and you need to press ESC or click on cancel to close it
when i tracking the exception i found "Bad value" exception, although the itemcode column filled but the
also i bind all matrix columns with data sources and i can fill matix at first , but when i want to add new line i faced this problem
best regards and thank you in advance ....
Ammar

Thanks Rasmus,
But that's something I've already tried - it doesn't seem to make any difference.

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to assign the value of warehouse column of a sap document by code. Generally we have cfl to choose warehouse.
    So the problem is that it is taking the value by code but throwing the exception .The message is "Form Bad Value".
    The Code is like
                                                            EditText oItemEdit = (EditText)oMatrix.Columns.Item("10").Cells.Item(i).Specific;
                                                            string whse = "07";
                                                            oItemEdit.Value = whse.Trim();
    Thanks

    Hi Amit,
    Try This....
    If pVal.FormType = "940" And pVal.ColUID = "1" And pVal.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_LOST_FOCUS And pVal.BeforeAction = False Then
                Try
                    oform = sbo_application.Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount(pVal.FormType, "1")
                    Dim omat As SAPbouiCOM.Matrix
                    omat = oform.Items.Item("23").Specific
                    Dim whs As String
                    whs = "07"
                    omat.Columns.Item("5").Cells.Item(pval.row).Specific.value = whs.Trim
                Catch ex As Exception
                    sbo_application.MessageBox(ex.Message)
                End Try
            End If
    Its working fine in my system

  • SSRS Expression to calculate percentage with the denominator being the first value in the same column group in a matrix report

    Hello, Expert,
    Could you please help me with the following problem? Thanks in advance!
    I have designed the matrix report (SSRS 2012) with database table structure looks like below.
    Week
    Version
         Count
    Week1
    V1.1
    4000
    Week1
    V1.2
    4000
    Week1
    V1.3
    4000
    Week2
    V1.1
    3000
    Week2
    V1.2
    3000
    Week2
    V1.3
    3000
    Week3
    V1.1
    2000
    Week3
    V1.2
    2000
    Week3
    V1.3
    2000
    Week4
    V1.1
    1000
    Week4
    V1.2
    1000
    Week4
    V1.3
    1000
    The matrix report displays like below. Column grows based on no of Week in the table.
    Week1
    Week2
    Week3
    Week4
    V1.1
    4000
    3000
    2000
    1000
    V1.2
    4000
    3000
    2000
    1000
    V1.3
    4000
    3000
    2000
    1000
    What I want to do now is: instead of the Count values, I need to calculate the percentage of each week over the
    Count in Week1 so that each cell displays Count(Week2)/Count(Week1), Count(Week3)/Count(Week1), etc. What is the SSRS expression for that? I’m new to SSRS, Please help!

    Heidi,
    Thank you so much for your reply and solution! Now I know how to get the first field in a group. But I can't apply your solution directly just yet because in order to explain my problem I simplified my data structure. My real data structure has a nested
    group like this:
    Week  VersionMajor VersionMinor Count
    Week1  V1           V1.1         2000
    Week2  V1           V1.1         1500
    Week3  V1           V1.1         800
    Week1  V1           V1.2         1000
    Week2  V1           V1.2         500
    Week3  V1           V1.2         200
    Week1  V1           V1.1         2000
    Week2  V1           V1.1         1500
    Week3  V1           V1.1         800
    Week1  V1           V1.2         1000
    Week2  V1           V1.2         500
    Week3  V1           V1.2         200
    Here is the query for the above data:
    SELECT 'Week1' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.1' AS VersionMinor, 2000 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week2' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.1' AS VersionMinor, 1500 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week3' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.1' AS VersionMinor, 800 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week1' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.2' AS VersionMinor, 1000 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week2' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.2' AS VersionMinor, 500 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week3' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.2' AS VersionMinor, 200 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week1' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.1' AS VersionMinor, 2000 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week2' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.1' AS VersionMinor, 1500 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week3' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.1' AS VersionMinor, 800 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week1' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.2' AS VersionMinor, 1000 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week2' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.2' AS VersionMinor, 500 AS Count
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Week3' AS Week, 'V1' AS VersionMajor, 'V1.2' AS VersionMinor, 200 AS Count
    And my matrix table looks like this:
    What I need to do is to calculate the percentage of each week over week1 for
    1) V1 Total
    2) V1.1
    3) V1.2
    I can't use your solution directly because I need to apply Sum function for each cell and the Sum function gives me error when I try to use it on the denominator
    First(Fields!Count.Value,"VersionMinor"). If you could help me further to get to the final solution, I'd really appreciate it!!
    Happy New Year!

  • Hit the exception when editing the value of row key column in a new created row in a table

    1. I created a view object with 2 entity objects (parent table: YARD_FIXED_SLOT - child table: YARD_FIXED_SLOT_DETAIL) and the primary key of child table composes of 2 columns ( one of them is FK: YardFixedSlotDetail.FIXED_SLOT_ID REFERENCES YARD_FIXED_SLOT(FIXED_SLOT_ID)
    SQL queries:

    4. I think problem maybe is related with row key, but I need end user to change rowkey column value. does it allow changing the value of column as row key? I found this problem maybe only occur for new created row. For those existing rows, even I change the value of row key column, no such problem occurred, how do I handle this situation?
    Appriciate if anybody can help.

    Hi Bangaram,
    Thank you for your reply.
    The error: "Root cause error code is JBO-34014. Error message parameters are {0=oracle.jbo.Key[21 null ], 1=root} "
    I didn't create master records, I just used joint queries for information display of both master and detail. I am trying to create a row in the UI table to create a new detail record and master record already exists.
    The row key for new added row in UI rich table is [21 null ], row key of detail records table composes of 2 columns. 21 is for FixedSlotId and null is for SlotFromN. when I provide a new value for SlotFromN column in UI rich table, problem will occur.

    But, when I consult using SQLPlus, this is the results:
    select total_retail, units from analize_if_tran_data;
    TOTAL_RETAIL      UNITS
    *.0000 10*
    *.0000 10*
    -77.34         -1
    -66.6724         -1
    -77.34         -1
    *5 rows selected.*
    The big problem occurs is when I do a calculation with these fields:
    select total_retail, units, total_retail/units from analize_if_tran_data;
    TOTAL_RETAIL      UNITS TOTAL_RETAIL/UNITS
    *.0000 10 .d067195*
    *.0000 10 .d067195*
    -77.34         -1              77.34
    -66.6724         -1            66.6724
    -77.34         -1              77.34
    *5 rows selected.*
    Does anyone know what the problem?
    Did anyone see it any time?
    Thanks in advance,
    Braga

    Hi Erik,
    Sorry about that. I forgot to explain me well.
    Bellow the explain better.
    -- Describe of table
    SQL> desc analize_if_tran_data

    SQL>
    SQL> select total_retail, units, total_retail/units from analize_if_tran_data;
    TOTAL_RETAIL UNITS TOTAL_RETAIL/UNITS

    *.0000 10 .d067195* +(crazy result)+
    -77.34 -1 77.34

    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    -- Results with bad and one right value
    SQL> select total_retail, units, total_retail/units from analize_if_tran_data;
    TOTAL_RETAIL UNITS TOTAL_RETAIL/UNITS
    *.0000 10 .d067195* +(crazy result)+
    *.0000 10 .d067195* +(crazy result)+

    -77.34 -1 77.34
    -.0101         10            -.00101 +(right result)+
    6 rows selected.
    Now, see the results on a graphical tool:
    (Toad/SqlDeveloper)
    select total_retail, units, total_retail/units from analize_if_tran_data;
    -0,0101     10     1,9767195 +(crazy result)+
    -0,0101     10     1,9767195 +(crazy result)+
    -77,34     -1     77,34
    -66,6724     -1     66,6724
    -77,34     -1     77,34
    -0,0101     10     -0,00101 +(correct result)+
    I don't know if stayed clear for you.
    The right value is '-0,0101', but I only see this value when I execute a query on a graphical tool (pl/sql, sqldeveloper or toad).
    If I execute the query the division TOTAL_RETAIL/UNIS is wrong.
    I think that now I explained better.
    If you see it any time, please help me.
    Thank you very much,
    Braga

  • Form - Bad value (Goods Issue Form)

    Hello,
    I'm trying to fill Goods Issue form programatically. But when I try to fill some values into the matrix I got two errors-
    Referenced work order does not exist.
    Form - Bad Value
    I can enter the same values by hand, it works without any problem.
    One more thing. Let's say i got master data items with indexes 123, 1024. When I try to enter these values programmatically into Good Issue matrix (into index column) I got above messages. But when I the same with just value 1 it fills row with index 123.
    What is happening?
    Thanks in advance

  • Matrix exporting to excel with empty columns, with page break option of "Between each instance of a group" selected.

    I am working with Report Builder 3.0 I am using a matrix to produce grouped data on separate worksheets in excel.
    The select is:
    SELECT ID, Measurement, Value, [Date] FROM Measurements_Report. (please ignore the underscores they are just for formatting)
    The contents of the Measurements_Report table:
    ID__Measurement__Value__[Date]
    1___Hot_________33_____10/1/2014
    2___Hot_________44_____10/2/2014
    3___Cold_________55_____10/2/2014
    The matrix contains a single row group based on the field "measurement". The Measurement group has the page break option of "Between each instance of a group" selected.
    There is a column group based on the field "Date".
    When this is matrix is exported to excel on the first worksheet (Hot) there are three columns as shown below:
    ID__10/1/2014____10/2/2014___10/2/1014
    1___33
    2_______________44
    Notice the last column doesn't have a value.
    On the second worksheet (Cold) there are also three columns as shown below:
    ID__10/1/2014___10/2/2014___10/2/1014
    3__________________________55
    This time notice there is only one row and only a value in the last column.
    I only want the columns with data for that worksheet to show up. How can I remove these empty/duplicate columns? Hopefully there is a simple fix. Thanks ahead of time.

    With the following contents of the Measurements_Report table:
    ID__Measurement__Value__[Date]
    1___Hot_________33______10/1/2014
    2___Hot_________43______10/1/2014
    2___Hot_________44______10/2/2014
    3___Cold________55______10/2/2014
    Returns on the first tab (Hot):
    ID__10/1/2014____10/1/2014____10/2/2014
    1___33
    2_________________43
    2______________________________44
    In the excel worksheet it contains a separate column for each date with a value. Thanks again!
    Why is the same date repeating on multiple columns? Do you've the time part also returned from database?

  • Newbie questions: 'extracting' values from a single column. Is it possible?

    Hello everybody,
    I'm a pretty newbie user of BI 11. I would like to know if it's possibile to aggregate values by filtering different values in a same column. As my English is quite bad, let me summarize my problem with an example:
    Column A - Number of Recevived Calls -- Column B Caller's Satisfaction Rating
    A: 12 - B: Good
    A: 25 - B: Average
    A: 100 - B: Perfect
    A: 35 - B: Not good enough
    I would like to be able to do some math with single scores as, for instance, to group together good, average and perfect scores and remove the not good enough scores, or, another example, I'd like to calculate the percentage of GOOD ratings on the total number of calls.
    Anyone can help me? I'm a simple user of the BI frontend, so I don't have access to the underlying database structure.
    Sorry for any mistake I made in my English writing and Thanks a lot in advance.

    I assume Column A is a measure. In the edit formula for this column, highlight the column and filter it based on column B. For example you might to filter all the calls for 'Good' then you may divide it by total no of calls or something similar. It might look something like this -- Filter(table.column A USING (table.Column B = 'Good'))/Sum(table.columA)
    you might want to use a combination of case statements as well depending on what you want to achieve.
    for example -- case when table.column B='GOOD' then sum(table.column A) else (sum(table.column A)/(case when table.column B='BAD' then sum(table.column A) end))end
    Give it a try, hope this helps.

  • [Forum FAQ] How to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table?

    Introduction
    In SQL Server Reporting Services, we can define a mapping between the fields that are returned in the query to specific delivery options and to report parameters in a data-driven subscription.
    For a report with a parameter (such as YEAR) that allow multiple values, when creating a data-driven subscription, how can we pass a record like below to show correct data (data for year 2012, 2013 and 2014).
    EmailAddress                             Parameter
    Comment
    [email protected]              2012,2013,2014               NULL
    In this article, I will demonstrate how to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table
    Workaround
    Generally, if we pass the “Parameter” column to report directly in the step 5 when creating data-driven subscription.
    The value “2012,2013,2014” will be regarded as a single value, Reporting Services will use “2012,2013,2014” to filter data. However, there are no any records that YEAR filed equal to “2012,2013,2014”, and we will get an error when the subscription executed
    on the log. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)
    Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.InvalidReportParameterException: Default value or value provided for the report parameter 'Name' is not a valid value.
    This means that there is no such a value on parameter’s available value list, this is an invalid parameter value. If we change the parameter records like below.
    EmailAddress                        Parameter             Comment
    [email protected]         2012                     NULL
    [email protected]         2013                     NULL
    [email protected]         2014                     NULL
    In this case, Reporting Services will generate 3 reports for one data-driven subscription. Each report for only one year which cannot fit the requirement obviously.
    Currently, there is no a solution to solve this issue. The workaround for it is that create two report, one is used for view report for end users, another one is used for create data-driven subscription.
    On the report that used create data-driven subscription, uncheck “Allow multiple values” option for the parameter, do not specify and available values and default values for this parameter. Then change the Filter
    From
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :[@ParameterName]
    To
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :Split(Parameters!ParameterName.Value,",")
    In this case, we can specify a value like "2012,2013,2014" from database to the data-driven subscription.
    Applies to
    Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
    Microsoft SQL Server 2012

    For every Auftrag, there are multiple Position entries.
    Rest of the blocks don't seems to have any relation.
    So you can check this code to see how internal table lt_str is built whose first 3 fields have data contained in Auftrag, and next 3 fields have Position data. The structure is flat, assuming that every Position record is related to preceding Auftrag.
    Try out this snippet.

    Hi,
    It would be better if you could provide the steps in details about how you customize your Edit Form.
    Anyway, you can take a look at the similar thread below, there is someone stuck with the similar issue before:

  • ReportDocument.ExportToStream raises "Missing Parameter Values" exception

    Hi,
    I have a web app built using VS 2008 which runs many reports developed in CR 2008. Most of these reports take parameters and many have embedded subreports. Many of the reports can either be viewed directly or e-mailed. For the latter, I use ReportDocument.ExportToStream(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat) to export a PDF file which then gets attached to the e-mail.
    One set of reports works fine when viewed directly, but raises a "Missing Parameter Values" exception when I try to generate the PDF.  All the other reports, seemingly similar in most respects, including the number and type of parameters, work fine when calling ExportToStream.
    Here is the really strange part: the exception is spurious. I wrapped the whole thing in a try/catch block to better examine the exception, hoping to find which parameter value is actually missing.  I could not identify the missing parameter value, but once I handled the exception, the report runs fine and converts to PDF.
    Any hints as to what could be causing this problem?  It seems like a really bad hack to solve the problem using a try/catch in this way.
    Thanks.
    Dan

    Thanks for the quick response. Your code was very instructive, but did not help yet.  Here is what I have:
    (This response is too long for a single post, so I will split it and finish in the next post.)
    ReportDocument rptDoc = new ReportDocument();
    rptDoc.Load(strReportSourceFolder + strReportName + ".rpt");
    rptDoc.SetParameterValue("ClientID", lngKeyFieldID);
    rptDoc.SetParameterValue("Role", "Client");
    This is followed by an amazing chunk of code, provided to me by a guy at SAP Tech Support, who said it was necessary to pass database credentials programatically.  It iterates the tables in the ReportDocument and individually sets the LogonInfo. (I say "amazing" because it astounds me you have to jump through such hoops for something that should be routine and easy.)  The commented lines are just to help in debugging.
    ConnectionInfo conn = new ConnectionInfo();
    conn.ServerName = "myServer";
    conn.DatabaseName = "myDB";
    conn.UserID = "myUserID";
    conn.Password = "myPassword";
    Tables tables = rptDoc.Database.Tables;
    foreach (Table table in tables)
      //string str= table.TestConnectivity().ToString());
      TableLogOnInfo tableLogonInfo = table.LogOnInfo;
      tableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo = conn;
      table.ApplyLogOnInfo(tableLogonInfo);
      //table.Location = table.Location;
    This is followed by the viewer stuff:
    CrystalReportViewer1.DisplayGroupTree = false;
    CrystalReportViewer1.DisplayToolbar = true;
    CrystalReportViewer1.HasToggleGroupTreeButton = false;
    CrystalReportViewer1.HasToggleParameterPanelButton = false;
    CrystalReportViewer1.Page.Title = strReportName;
    CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = rptDoc;
    Up to here, it works fine, displaying the report.  If the report is also to be e-mailed, the following is executed:
    if (bEmail)
      //  export to PDF, then mail that
      SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient();
      MailAddress from = new MailAddress(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["ReportMailFrom"].ToString());
      MailMessage message = new MailMessage();
      message.From = from;
      message.SubjectEncoding = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8;
      message.Subject = "E-mail BackOffice report: " + strReportName;
      try
        foreach(ParameterField field in rptDoc.ParameterFields)
          Logger.LogEvent("test", "", field.ToString(), "Trace", null, true, true);
          Logger.LogEvent("test", "", "Name: " + field.Name, "Trace", null, false, false);
          Logger.LogEvent("test", "", "PromptText: " + field.PromptText, "Trace", null, false, false);
          Logger.LogEvent("test", "", "IsOptionalPrompt: " + field.IsOptionalPrompt, "Trace", null, false, false);
        MemoryStream memStream = (MemoryStream)rptDoc.ExportToStream(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat);
        Attachment data = new Attachment(memStream, MediaTypeNames.Application.Pdf);
        ContentDisposition disposition = data.ContentDisposition;
        disposition.CreationDate = DateTime.Now;
        disposition.ModificationDate = DateTime.Now;
        disposition.FileName = strReportName + ".pdf";
        disposition.DispositionType = DispositionTypeNames.Attachment;
        message.Attachments.Add(data);
      catch (Exception ex)
        Logger.LogEvent("error", "Page_Load", strReportName + " Exception: " + ex.Message, "Trace", null, true, true);
      //  ...  do the rest of the stuff to create & send the e-mail
    (The rest of this message will be in the following post.  Sorry it is so long.)

    It didn't work.
    After I changed length of that column of the source datastore (from 15 to 16), ODI created temporary tables (C$ with I$) with larger columns (16 instead of 15) but I got the same error message.
    I'm wondering why I have to extend length of source datastore in the source model if there are no values in the source table with a length greather than 15....
    Any other idea? Thanks !

  • ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column from 9i to 8i

    Hi All,
    Am trying to get the data from 9.2.0.6.0 to 8.1.7.0.0.
    The character sets in both of them are as follows
    9i

    Can anyone of you fix this one.
    PASSWORD

    Additionally I found this matrix, which explains your problem:
    UTF8 (1 to 3 bytes) AL32UTF8 (1 to 4 bytes)
    MIN MAX MIN MAX
    CHAR 2000 666 2000 500
    VARCHAR2 4000 1333 4000 1000 */
    For column PASSWORD the maximum length is used (4000). UTF8 uses maximal 3 bytes for a character, while AL32UTF8 may use up to 4 characters. So a column defined in AL32UTF8 may contain characters, which do not fit in a corresponding UTF8 character.

    new PrintStream(fos).println("layerhandle\t"+s);
    fos.flush();
    //fos.close();This looks suspicious. You should close the PrintStream and not just flush 'fos'. Closing the PrintSteam will close 'fos'. This failure to close the print stream could be the cause your problem.

    sun.misc.BASE64Decoder().decodeBuffer(value);If there is a problem with decrypt then it may be because you have not read the 'value' or the 'key' properly.

  • Form - Bad Value

    hi all
       i create a Form and bind to a UDO
       when i only open the form is not any problem ,the method is following:
             protected override bool AddItems2Form(string strFId, string strTitle)
                Boolean bRet = base.AddItems2Form(strFId, strTitle);
                try
                    if (bRet && ShowForm(strFId, strTitle, BoFormBorderStyle.fbs_Sizable, 110, 550, 74,60, "LicCarry") == 0)   //LicCarry is a UDO's Name ,the table name is @LICCARRYCARDINFO
                       strDocEntry = "14";
                        fsSbo.AddEditText2Form(ref oForm, "Doc", "@LICCARRYCARDINFO", "DocEntry", 1, 1, 20, 14);
                        fsSbo.AddStaticText2Form(ref oForm, "stLicId", "XXXXX", 0xa, 20, 80, 14);
                        .........................   // much more
                        #region funtion button
                        fsSbo.AddItem2Form(ref oForm, "1", BoFormItemTypes.it_BUTTON, 410, 20, 65, 20);
                        fsSbo.AddItem2Form(ref oForm, "2", BoFormItemTypes.it_BUTTON, 410, 90, 65, 20);
                        #endregion
                        #region
                oForm.PaneLevel = 1;
                        oForm.DataBrowser.BrowseBy = "Doc";
                        if (strDocEntry.Length > 0)
                            oForm.Mode = BoFormMode.fm_FIND_MODE;
                            fsSbo.SetValue2EditText(ref this.oForm, "Doc", strDocEntry);
                            fsSbo.SetFocus(oForm, "1");
                        else
                            oForm.Mode = BoFormMode.fm_ADD_MODE;
                        #endregion
                catch (Exception ex)
                    fsSbo.ShowExceptiontMsg(ex);
                return bRet;
    but when first open a Form x ,and then catch x's  event to open above form
    the exception (form - bad value) is throw on  fsSbo.SetValue2EditText(ref this.oForm, "Doc", strDocEntry);
    any one can help you ,thanks
    thanks very much

    fsSbo.SetValue2EditText(ref this.oForm, "Doc", strDocEntry) 的意思就是
    EditText et = (EditText)this.oForm.Items.Item("Doc").Special;
    et.Value = strDocEntry
