means:
1. it display Docnum but it can refer to DocEntry
2. it can refer to different table (if Document Type is IN it refer to A/R Invoice, CN refer to A/R Credit Notes)

Hi, how can i manage to have a column in a matrix that doesn't represent a value of the table the other columns are using?
For example, i have a matrix and this matrix has values of the UDT (@Table) and one column contains the projectcode. now i want one column in my matrix to show the project name of the OPRJ. how can i manage that, so that the value of this column in the matrix changes when i change the value of the other column with the project code?

1) You can fill the matrix from Recordset.
For example: UDT is [@O01_USERTABLE].
PrjCode foreign key to the Projects table (OPRJ - not exposed through the DI API).
So, if you type correctly PrjCode, you can fetch description using method below.

How do I use Aggregate formulas with multiple measures from different tables?
I have three measures:
Cash - this sums the £ column in my 'Cash' table.
Online - this sums the £ column in my 'Online'
table
Phone - this sums the £ column in my 'Phone'
table
How do I now do aggregate formulas that combine this three measures, for example:
Find the MIN or MAX of the three measures
Average the three measures
I have worked out how to use simple aggregation like add, subtract etc through the CALCULATION formula, but doing the average or MIN/MAX does not work.

Apologies, I have never found a an easy way of simulating some of my issues since it would mean creating a new power model and establishing quite a number of relationships. I definitely see the benefit when posting on the forum since it makes my issue far more

How to fill matrix with the output of recordset query?

I want a user matrix to load data when I hit a button and the data to be filled is the output of an sql query. binding the matrix columns with table columns and then load the matrix with DBDatasource attached to that table will not do in this case as the columns in the sql query are from several different tables or views.
writing following line to do this takes several minutes to load the data:

Using Visual Studio 2008 I have created a Windows Forms Application in which I created
Embedded Reports (rdlc).
The embedded reports (rdlc) uses Matrix(s).
Now on this one rdlc I have dragged 2 Matrix(s) onto the body.
One of the Matrix datasource dataset name and table name is "DataSet1_Table1.
A cells in the Matrix has a total column on the end as follows:

The other Matrix datasource dataset name and table name is "DataSet2_Table2.
The cell in this Matrix has a total column on the end as follows:
=Sum(Fields!fld1.Value)+Sum(Fields!fld2.Value)+Sum(Fields!fld3.Value)+Sum(Fields!fld4.Value)+Sum(Fields!fld5.Value)
As you can see each Matrix has a different table.
I would like to add the total columns from each table in each Matrix but I haven't been
able to do it successfully. If I have to drag another Matrix or a Textbox on the
body to do it that is okay and/or add another/different formula to a cell onto the body that is
okay too.
So my question is how can I add the contents of the total in cell from each table in each matrix
which will create the "grand total"?

ShabeautIt is possible to reference SSRS elements directly using the ReportItems collection. If your total tablix cell is outside of yoour matrix groups, you can use this collection to accomplish what you want:
=ReportItems!Matrix1Total.Value + ReportItems!Matrix2Total.Value
where Matrix1Total and Matrix2Total is the name of the cell that contains your totals. Note that for this to work, the cell name must be unique. If the total cell is inside a group, it will be repeated once for each instance of the group and will not be
unique.
You may be able to do it using the Sum aggregate and specifying the dataset for the scope variable:

Dear All,
I have backup all users in my database using exp command.
Now i want to import 2 tables from this backup, as tables already exists i want to import table with different table name.
Is it possible with exp command? If not what else is the solution.

Well, its not possible.You can import those two tables in some test database, rename them and then take the export and import in the database you want.
Or,
You can import those 2 tables in some other schema in your database, rename them again take the export and them import it.

List rows with a certain value from a different table?
Hi,
I'm trying to list certain rows from a different table. Similar to the filter feature, kind of like a report.
To be specific, I have 12 tables (Jan-Dec) with many entries each (as rows). Each row has a date, text and further data. Now I want to create an additional table that lists rows from the other tables that have a certain date.
I would like to just enter that date in a header row cell so I can make a quick query. Using LOOKUP only shows the first row of that date. Is that even possible?Hi papalapapp,
If you don't mind using a script, you're using Numbers 3, and all of your monthly tables are on the same sheet, then you could do something like this:
Copy-paste script to Script Editor
Enter date you want to filter on in the designated filterCell (here A1 of the Extract table). Make sure it is formatted exactly like the dates in the monthly tables.
Clear any existing values from the Extract table, and make sure there are enough blank rows.
Click the run button in Script Editor.

Matrix with different dimensions for each column

I would like to have a matrix with different dimensions (rows) for each
column, for example, I want the first column has 3 rows, the second one
5 rows, the third one 10 rows, and so on.....
With a simple array it is not possible, and then I make an array (for
my columns) of clusters and each cluster has another array (rows for
that column). Is it the best way to do it? Is it correct?

In POST processing, just do the insert to one table, followed by the insert to the second table. I don't understand where you are getting stuck.
Sometimes when we do an insert, we need the auto-generated ID from the newly created record as a "foreign key" for the record created in the second insert. MySQL has a nifty solution for that. The specific code depends on whether you are using the mysql, mysqli or PDO database connection. -
Retrieving Data from different Tables with same tuple name

I am made the following query from different tables. A tuple "name" is appearing in some tables. So when I run the qiery in a Java class, it delivers the same result of c.name, bpl.name and p.name. The result of c.name is correct, but the other 2 names are overwritten. It works perfect in a postgreSql query tool. How can I correct it, plz?

Using the same TableModel with different tables
hi,
is it possible to have a TableModel class that I could use to display different columns in different tables?
For example, suppose I have a TableModel containing user info (user_id, user_name, user_address) and I wanted to display (user_name, user_address) in one table, but just (user_id) (or even (user_id, user_name) in another).
If this is possible, what are some good design ideas?
