Maximizing mdi and sdi pages all over the browser

I'm using forms 9i.I usually maximize the mdi window with the following command at when-new-form-instance trigger:
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window,window_state,maximize);
set_window_property('winodw1',winodw_state,maximize);
This command does not maximize the mdi and sdi all over the browser window.
Is there a way to do it.

Hi,
The Browser is not under the control of Forms. You can start a Browser Window without menu and toolbar from Javascript, but there is no way for Forms at runtime to switch off the Browser settings.
As an alternative solution you can run Forms with the separateFrame parameter set to true in the formsweb.cfg file.

Adobe has been trying this and the product is called Muse ( Web design software | Download free Adobe Muse CC trial ). It doesn't give you the control over the code that most developers prefer but it could help bridge the gap for design if that is what you are looking for.

Page all over the show

My new website, www.portobelloroad.org.uk, looks OK in IE7, Safari and Firefox. However, I saw it today on a Dell monitor, and ait was all over the show.. Just not what it should be.
Any reason for this? It even looks OK on my little Acer notebook

The problem does not have anything to do with your monitor. It's related to the viewport width and your use of AP divs as a primary layout method. Karl, we've been telling you for years that you should not use AP Divs as a primary layout so I'm not sure why you are surprised about this.

Thanks for the trouble to reply. this problem only happens with Pages and Numbers for me. i have done all the tricks like restarting. the main problem is that the working space is not 'stable' - it has no 'ends' even on full screen. in Numbers - UNLESS I SET IT TO 25% VIEW (which is way too small) - the actual total 'work space' is way off the grid - so every time i move the mouse the table i am working on zooms off to left or right, at the slightest touch. i have set my mouse to no gestures!
the thing is this did not happen before the latest upgrades.

if you are a techy person - i have another prob. in Mail i am unable to set the SORT / VIEW messages to BY DATE.
(it used to be ok, at one time, too). now it continually reverts to BY SUBJECT oh so annoying !
restarting etc does not change it. resetting preferences does not change it.

Since updating to iOS 7 the compass on my iPhone 4S is all over the place but mainly 180° out tried calibrating rebooting etc etc and no difference.!

Nope, i generally hate iTunes for it being annoying and incredibly "damaging" to the computer (slows my computer down a shitload when booting atleast), so I've avoided it at any costs till now. Shame apple "forces" us to use their more "******" apps in order to "guard" ourselves against stuff like this... I'll survive, the most important pics are on facebook, and the apps and contacts I can easily replace. For my part Apple has one life less when it comes to me buying another product from them.

why the hell there are adds every where now? it was not the case earlier? and why the hell every time i change the home page to be the default one, the min i restart Firefox it came again to the same silly page i don't know from where the hell it came from?!?!
it was a very pleasant experience to use Firefox, but not anymore, i like it even its heavy on the machine and stuck alot lately!!!
the crash reports NEVER managed to be sent i don't know why!!

Sorry you are having problems, but probably some adware or malware.
Thanks for including System Information. I am not familiar with "''Vonteera Free Ads''" However it is apparently adware. Take care with advice followed from internet searches I would for instance NOT try the YAC site or tool.
Using the Firefox addons manager and the Windows Control Panel remove any obvious unwanted toolbars or programs. Then scan with multiple and fully up to date tools.

Firefox keeps redirecting and loading ads all over the page.

Get on firefox and go to a page like.... www.firefox.com. The page loads, then a second later it reloads ads laced in with the content and the plain background is a clickable link going to a third party site.
I have used malwarebytes, hitman pro, adwcleaner, tdsskiller, avast, deleted firefox, deleted all registry keys, and reinstalled it too.
I've probably tried a few more things too, but essentially I need help. PLEASE HELP!

My iMac restarts repeadly and shows yellow ~ all over the screen

My iMac restarts itself over and over I believe it is a kernel panic.It shows yellow,blue, and green ~ on every startup. Are there commands in the (Command+S) that will help me. All keys don't work on startup. I cannot do anything on it beside access (Command+S) on accasions.

If it was just restarting, this may have been software but since there is visible screen distortion, im thinking this is most likely a logicboard on its way out. Definately take this to an apple store and have them diagnose and repair the machine.

Sorry once you have upgraded you can't downgrade IOS. This is not supported by Apple.

File search - files and projects all over the place

I have not developed a standard set of scratch locations for all of my files, projects, autosaves, etc. As a result, I have media and project files all over the place on my computer and I now spend most of my time searching. I thought Bridge might help me search for and consolidate all relevant CS3 and CS4 files on all of my drives so that I can then place them into some standard scheme.
When I do a search from the file menu "find" by criteria I drop down a list of various files, but no project files from After Effects, Premiere, Audition, etc. Does Bridge have a feature that will find and move all my files?

I don't think bridge will search across different drives although have read Lightroom will. Bridge searches from where you start your search and then goes down the directory from there. Since I have all my pictures on one drive can't say how that would work it other programs are below it in the directory tree.
If you have Vista is it very fast at searching. It searchs across drives if they are all indexed. The advanced seearch will find keywords "tags" in MS talk.

Apple gave me a new ipod and told me all I needed to do was update the new ipod from the itunes which I had backed up prior to getting the new one. When I did the sync , the info for my contacts was giving me names and addresses from all over the place except the itunes. Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not apply in your case.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
2. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and in that case the unit must be serviced or replaced.
3. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
4. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
5. Reset the System Management Controller.
6. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
7. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested.
